Medium cod and chips.... that was a huge portion, fish full length if the box, and loads of lovely chips, great stuff, will visit again when that way.

The fish was really cooked well and tasty but once again the chips were poor. They are hard and very dry and not very good to eat. What's happening they used to be good.

All our food was good apart from the vegetarian dippers they were well over cooked. Unfortunately to the point that a few couldn't be eaten. The rest of our order was good though

Excellent fish & chips. Ordered via the app and it was bagged and ready when I arrived. No need to join the queue. Food very tasty was a very good portion.

Possibly the best fish and chips around Thetford. I wouldn't say this is gourmet but for fast food and your typical Fish & Chip shop, they are a step above the rest. They offer exceptional quality in terms of taste and texture, plus good value for money. Not too greasy plus have a good variety. The only thing missing is a battered Mars bar or Snickers.

This was without doubt the best fish & chips I've eaten in ages. Had haddock twice and a pineapple fritter with chips, fresh taste, great flavour haddock, and the batter was so crunchy and sealed the fish beautifully, if I lived closer I would be in more often. But I shall return. Bang on!

Not the best fish and chips unfortunately. Haddock undercoocked and not high quality chips. I would not recommend unfortunately.

Not a bad fish and chip shop, the best in the town nowadays.

This used to be an excellent chippy, but alas no more. We purchased 3 portions of chips of £10. They were greasy, lacked texture and due to the fact they are now served in containers rather than paper, represented poor value for money given the portion size. Such a shame. This used to be an excellent chippy. Honest feedback. We'd sooner pay more to receive more by virtue of quality and quantity.

£4 for large chips but not a large portion. They give you less now £3.50 for a microwaved pasty. Batter to thick.

This was the first fish and chips place I'd eaten at since arriving in the UK. I've eaten at a few more since then, but none have been better than this one. Maybe it's time I go back and just concede it's the best one in my local area.

Very good local fish and chip shop with the usual favourites on offer. The chips were crunchy and delicious. Service was quick and it wasn't too expensive. What more could you expect?

Really enjoying the fish and chips from here. We're regular customers. Batter is usually lovely and crispy. Chips are almost invariably excellent with good crispiness and flavour. The fish was already lovely, I'm told, but for the last several weeks it's been skinless, which has made it even better, I understand. Friendly staff, too. Happy to recommend - definitely my favourite in Thetford for several years, now.

Everytime I go here, I normally feed my family or getting lunch in for me and my work mates, they seem to mess up the order in some way or another almost everytime. Try to say something and your the one in the wrong.

Tuesday night is gluten free and they do a really good gf Cod and chips. All the staff are.friendly and the lady who usually takes our order is terrific, next time I go in I'll ask her name and update my review. Went in today 02 Aug 2022 another really great GF cod and chips, and Chrisy is the lady who served me. 👍

Normally good fish and chips but i was really disappointed tonight, the batter was flat thin and really greasy and fish was bland and watery, not up to usual standard.

Very good food got the fish n chips .the large fed me and the wife .it was fast and 5he people were friendly .I'll be going back again

you can judge a good chippy by the queue outside and therfore this is a great chippy..... I am a vegetarian and have never seen more chippy based options for me.... they even have a mushy pea fritters... I know battered mushy peas...genius.... the others at my home aren't veggies and they also seem very happy... but a battered mushy peas.. bless these beautiful folks.. the service is great and they are super nice... great place.. if you get the chance..go there.. lots

I love fish and chips, but most places I go to are either small portions, greasy/ oily and just do not taste the best. Once I had eaten from here once I couldn’t not go back. My first time was with family at a family get together. I go to croton fish bar at least once a week. The chips are perfectly cooked the fish is great the portions are a great size and the prices are cheap. Would 100% recommend to anyone travelling through the area or anyone living in the area. It tops the other fish and chip shops by far especially the other ones in Thetford

The chips used to be lovely, fluffy and a delight to eat, these were crispy greasy and reminded me of a pre chilled chip, pretty tasteless. Fish Cakes not too tasty either, hopefully a one off

Had sausage chips with a side of mushy peas and a portion of mozzarella stick. The sausage and chips was amazing lovely light crispy batter they chips were fluffy and the mozzarella stick were amazing. I would 100% recommended this chips shop and would happily say it is the best in thetford. I will be going back there over and over again

Fabulous, fresh fish and chips. Cooked perfectly and fresh. Staff busy but pleasant and although busy in the shop it was well organised. Wait was not too long, but any wait would be worth it to have tasty fish and chips like this.

Greasy fish and chips just a mess really. Fried in oil that’s not been at the right temperature is the reason for this greasy mess. Shame as they used to be good at times.

You won't find better Fish n Chips in Thetford! Prices are very reasonable and service is great.

I like to think of myself as a bit of a connoisseur on fish and chips they were some of the best ever the fish especially cooked to perfection. You might have wait awhile for it to be cooked if you go at busy time but it is well worth it.

The food tastes great and portions are very generous, too generous! My only concern is it doesn't look to clean and the guy frying the fish was on his mobile phone! Where had his phone been before he picked that up and the food he was cooking?!

Good quality fish, generous portion sizes as very reasonable prices. Although the batter was a bit on the heavy side, it did however keep the first moist on the inside. Overall good experience and recommend it

Visiting Thetford and wanted a quick takeaway fish and chips. Saw the revs and have it a go. Not disappointed. Food was not and cooked perfectly. Not geasy. The Rock ordered was one of the best piece of fish in ages.

I visited lunchtime and I was greeted with very friendly service and the best chips I've had from a fish and chip shop in a long time.

Just about to close however cooked us fresh sauasage and chips for us. Fantastic service and delicious food, lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Google searched this place got there and thought na this doesn't look like a 4.3.and was about to turn away Boy was i wrong. This is a 5+ allday long Fish was absolutely amazing and the chips on another level...HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LOVE GOOD QUALITY FOOD

As this shop was only a few miles away from where we were staying for the weekend, we decided to pop in on Saturday to grab some dinner. I'm glad we did, we both had F&Cs and it was so good. The fish was nice and there was lots of it and the chips too. Neither of us could finish it completely. Staff were friendly and if we are up this way again, we'll deffo pop in.

Excellent Fish & Chips! Possibly the best fish, chips and mushy peas I have had. Served with friendly smile. Often when I visit my elderly parents, who live nearby, we have fish, chips and mushy peas from here. My parents have Haddock and I have Cod. The portions are very generous. The fish and chips are well fried and not greasy. It all tastes great!

I first went in here not knowing what to expect as I have visited all of the fish restaurants In Thetford. I can say hand on heart anyone who visits will not go away disappointed. There is always a que but you are never kept that long. They laugh at my German Shepherd face mask. But you know what they will see me there most Fridays. As unless I'm off somewhere that's where I'll be. I love fish and chips the portions are big. Not for the faint hearted. The food has never been poor and I've visited numerous times this year. The staff are all pleasant and jovial. I haven't tried there chicken but it looks nice and everyone remarkes on the place every time I go... well done you lot... Kevin

... shocking. Grease was dripping through the paper. Stupidly expensive for the quality, not worth the price. Food poisoning for sure... avoid .
