A belated birthday celebration for myself and my husband accompanied by our son and daughter who loved the decor. My husband and I were given a birthday prosecco which was very much appreciated and enjoyed. The food was all well presented and well cooked. We all enjoyed our meals but the highlight was the attentive and friendly staff, all with smiles on their faces

Came on for drinks with a friend, staff all very friendly (Hayley, phoebe, Sally & Luke) and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning soon!!

We went to celebrate birthday . We were met with glass for birthday girl and a card - very nice touch. Meal was spot on and my dessert was just right. Very difficult to find fault. Our service from Jenny and Becci was attentive and pleasant . Will be returning for my birthday !!

Once again the Staffordshire Grill did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was just right. Totally recommend the Grill for every occasion.

The meals are 1st class and reasonably priced nothing is too much trouble for the staff either We were served by Chris, Emily B & Tanisha and I cannot fault the service at all, probably the most welcoming I have received for a long long time. Chris was able to also get us in the seating area outside where there was a live singer, the ambiance lovely, the whole place is decorated lovely, I would highly recommend Kerrie Baker

Should have been one of my daughters wedding day today which due to virus has been postponed to next year so came here for a “get together” lunch. Have to say very impressed with courtyard which has been very done to a lovely standard. Food and service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very well spoilt - thank you to all staff including chef. Well worth the 35 min drive to get to you and will certainly come again 👍👍👍

Stopped in here unplanned as we were moored up locally on the canal. It was later on a Monday evening but they were really helpful and had space for us and our 2 dogs in a nice little area away from the main bar and restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Really good selection on the menu including lots of vegan options (vegan fish and chips was yummy and a huge portion)! Would definitely go back if I was in the area again.

I came here to celebrate my 30th birthday with my partner. I was little sad at first as we cannot celebrate with large families and friends but the welcoming from the staff made me feel at ease. The cocktails were so yummy and the food was cooked perfectly. I had fish cakes for starter with a rare steak to follow. The food was so satisfying I literally couldn’t manage a dessert. It was nice the staff kept checking to see if all was ok and that we had enough drinks. Literally one my favorite places to go.

Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious with excellent customer service and attention. So impressed we planned return visit Tuesday lunchtime. Disappointed to say This visit was not good. 35 minutes wait for our drinks in 30 degree heat, despite asking again for drinks it was very slow service for us, some menu items including fish cakes and certain wine out of stock. Bang bang chicken salad lacked the key elements - no dressing or peanuts just dry chicken and leaves. Steak was fatty. I didn’t feel I could complain at the time as trying to get staff attention was difficult and we just wanted to leave the heat of the restaurant. I know this was a one off failing for the restaurant but my meal out with my sister was a special time after not seeing each other for so long due to Covid and I had recommended this place so felt like I had let her down.

Had a fantastic meal and the service was brilliant everything felt very safe. Would recommend to anyone.

What a fantastic night and meal. Went there for my Mom’s 70th birthday meal had a great night. Lucy was our server and she was brilliant and help make a great night.

Unable to find anywhere to park in Brewood so unfortunately had to ring and tell them we couldn’t go😢

Just wanted to say a thank-you for the most wonderful Christmas meal. The meals were all fantastic and the room we had for our large party made it a extra special. The service we received was fabulous! a big thank you again to Mr Firmstone-Hill and his wonderful team. See you again soon.

Steak was amazing........steak and ale pie was out of this world.....only downside is we asked for the dessert menu but it never arrived.....even though I don’t think we would of ordered anything as we was both full.

Visited with 3 other couples last night as a very early pre- Christmas get together. Whilst the young lady serving us was very helpful and professional, the food was dire.The steaks were tough, undercooked and most of the food was cold. One ribeye steak was returned to the kitchen as it was stone cold, and it took 15 minutes to be redone - hence the rest of the table had virtually finished their food. When it was redone, it was rare- my friend had asked for a medium steak. My vegetables were hard - I love al dente veg, but couldnt actually chew these (and I do have my own teeth!!)The restaurant was very smoky from.the cooking area. The Manageress apologised for this and then became confrontational when we told her we were more concerned about the poor food quality!My friend spoke to another Manager who confirmed they were "having a nightmare" and eventually knocked one meal and 20% off the bill.We could hear other people complaining about the food throughout the restaurant.It's really disappointing to visit friends and end up with a sub standard meal that ruins the evening. Unfortunately I think that the eateries in Brewood have the monopoly and this was a case of over booking and poor delivery. A real disappointment and we won't be returning.

My husband and I had a table booked to celebrate our birthday (we’re only a day apart) and chose the Staffordshire Grill as we’ve always had lovely meals there in the past. It wasn’t busy as to be expected on a Monday night in a sleepy village and the restaurant only appeared to contain 5 perhaps 6 couples. We were all lined up along a solid bench with a bottoms-width between them. I’d have rather eaten in the bar, it was really awkward especially considering the rest of the building was empty. The service on the whole was fine, the staff polite, however from we were never asked if we wanted another drink and had to call the server back and no one checked how the mains were. There in lies the issue. You go to a grill for an amazing steak and they were as rubbery and though as anything. If asked then we would have sent them back. Don’t order a ribeye there. The onion rings were impressive and the martinis fabulous so it wasn’t all awful.

Good food but massively over priced ... Made welcome when we first entered then it went down hill from there . Drinks expensive too ... Crammed in.. for what you pay.... Wont be going back as Miller & Carter is cheaper better surroundings

Tuesday lunch 12,30. Fairly quiet.We only wanted a main meal and we both ordered the oriental pork belly with a side of beef dripping chips. The portion was very generous and everything on the plate was delicious.Service was excellent.Total price (with two pints) ..£43.00. The toilets were nice and clean (so important!)

My family and I were recommended this restaurant and also having read positive reviews on various platforms we decided to go for a Sunday lunch with much excitement having looked forward to it all week given the hype.Having previously been to The Crown at Pattingham where the food was excellent we hoped this experience would be the same however sadly it was extremely disappointing.The maître d' Dianne was an efficient and a very pleasant lady, the staff were friendly and the ambiance was lovely but the food was terrible.5 Adults all had a Sunday roast and no one finished their meals for the same reasons which are, the broccoli was extremely under cooked so much so a good gardener could have replanted it and grown it again. Roast potatoes were not cooked barely roasted. There was a round thing what I assume was stuffing which was burnt and so deep fried it looked like a brake pad and totally inedible, the chef really needs to take a good look at sending something so disgusting out and expecting people to eat it !!!!!A rather strange combination of cabbage with bacon lardons was horrible.There must have been a gravy shortage with barely a drizzle over the meat and it may have helped soften the broccoli if it had been put over the whole of the food.When asked for extra gravy it took over 10 mins to arrive and to be asked twice which in that time the food was even more unappetising!!!Overall it was a total waste of money and and certainly not an experience we will be repeating and this would rank amongst the worst Sunday lunches we have ever had!!!

Our meal was booked for 6.30 which is early for us to eat. The Restaurant was almost full and buzzing. Our first visit and we weren’t disappointed. it took a little while before our order was taken but that was the only niggle. When the food arrived it was piping hot and delicious.

Having been here many times before and enjoyed our meal we were more than disappointed tonight. The first drinks were delivered 35 minutes after ordering. According to our waiter his iPad had had a spazz?!

2nd visit here and we were expecting the standard of food we got 1st time round and have to say it was disappointing! Steaks were not the best at all when we raised our concerns the staff confirmed they had switched supplier so the standard wasn't as good as our 1st experience. 3 steaks all tuff and lots of gristle. Needless to say at those prices we won't be rushing back as could get an average steak from a pub chain hence why we chose to return as you usually pay for what you get! And if that's not bad enough we were sat inline with the toilet door and the aromas were not good

1st time visit to the SG, party of 5 for daughters 19th.. Not disappointed at all, simple really well cooked food that was delicious. My wife had a gammon, wasn't your run of the mill horseshoe but a steak the thickness of which never seen before and cooked to perfection. Slight let down on the steak pie for FIL, meat a little grisstley and far too much pastry in comparison to filling but still pretty good. My daughter was over the moon with her meal & since it was her recommendation we came here, she was well pleased. Serving staff very professional & polite. Hasta la vista, we will be back

Apart from the fact that it was hard to find as its name of Staffordshire grill, if people say the Lion Inn, That's where it is & is very hard to find. There isn't parking there & public car park was full.

I was really looking forward to this visit but I left underwhelmed. We visited for Sunday lunch and for that offering their prices are high. In fact they offer nothing over comparable venues. Their selection of draft beers is close to indifferent as are their menu options. And some of their menu options aren't matched by what actually gets presented at the table. I guess I will have to write this one off to experience and go back to try a steak. Hopefully that will be better.

First time visiting last night with some friends and have to say I wasn’t disappointed! The steak was to die for I would even say it beat a regular chain of steakhouse places I go to! And the Parma voilet Hun well wow !!! Would definitely go again

My husband booked for us to go for a belated Valentines meal and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a very cosy feeling, we were greeted with a burning log fire as we entered which was very welcoming. The Waiter was extremely helpful 'Scott' and assisted with our food choices. I had the rump steak as I do like mine cremated! and my husband had the ribeye medium well done, both were cooked to perfection! The steaks came with some lovely chunky chips and mixed vegetables. We haven't been out for a while but I have to say this was well worth waiting for - the best steak I've ever tasted!

visited with my wife and daughter and son in law for lunch, ordered two ribeye steaks medium rare, came overcooked and cold, the place was also cold, the ladies sandwiches were on stale bread as they had run out of chiabata , offered brioche with roast beef. yuk not at all impressed with the service. a shame as décor etc was very nice. good beer and drinks.

We attended the Staffordshire Grill last night for a family birthday celebration. There were 13 of us and we were given exclusive use of the first floor room. The environment, atmosphere and overall service were excellent. The various meals which were served can only be described as outstanding. We were looked after by Jenny who could not have been more attentive but not overbearing. An excellent ambassador for your business. A first class function and somewhere that we can’t recommend highly enough and can’t wait to return to. Excellent.

Another fantastic meal, can not wait for Mascared Dinner and Entertainment. Please thank all the waiting staff who were so attentive.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this village hotel, it has modern decor with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was beautifully appointed and had a great view out over Brewood's main street. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

Right in the center of town at a corner of two streets most rooms are located towards the streets, but it is not noisy. Tiny aisles and stairs are leading to stylish renovated rooms - bathroom high standards, tasteful interiors, but very soft mattress - price including breakfast (warm dishes such as eggs; only bananas as fruits; only cornflakes as cereal) 85 pounds for a double.

Excelente comida y servicio. Globo de cumpleaños y cortesía fizz eran un toque agradable. Volveremos pronto.

El Lion Inn es parte de la Parrilla de staffordshire, y tiene alojamiento (11 habitaciones) muy popular con overseas, prueba la carne no te decepcionará.

Ahora es conocido como la Parrilla de Staffordshire. Este es un muy buen restaurante. La comida que nos estaba caliente y mi carne estaba perfectamente preparado. Nos cuidaron muy bien. Sin duda volveré.

Este ha sido el mejor pub en el pueblo durante años, el único donde mi esposa. El año pasado lamentablemente cerrado debido a una mala gestión, pero recientemente reabierto. He estado allí tres veces desde reapertura, incluyendo esta noche. Las normas son buenas y el personal son excelentes. Mi única queja es que las bebidas. Obviamente tienen el mismo proveedor de cerveza como el pub justo enfrente y sirven la misma cervezas lager. En las 3 semanas desde que reabrió no han cambiado sus cervezas de huésped y su elección no es buena. Quizás no quieren los bebedores de cerveza, sólo diners. Nos aseguraremos de que están yendo por el camino correcto sobre ella porque son perdiendo los principios de comercio de noche.

on recommendation we dined here for Mother's Day and we were not disappointed. Good value 3 courses for £23.95. The ambience and service extremely good and very helpful and friendly staff but not overly so! A lovely experience which we look forward to enjoying very soon

Comimos aquí en un miércoles noche a las 7 de la tarde. El restaurante es muy bonito y el personal es amable y eficiente. La comida también estaba bien, pero no es nada especial, simplemente agradable. Me pareció que era razonablemente buena relación calidad-precio.

Oh dear having remembered how lovely was our last visit with a roaring fire and again on a return trip from the north-west we booked a table to be on the safe side.The ambience was lovely soft non-intrusive music playing in the background, nice mix of restaurant guests our table and drinks were offered in a timely manner - good start, promising start to the evening.The problem came when ordering the main course, as a coeliac following a gluten-free diet I always suggest I make a choice from the menu and waiting staff check with chef to see if my choice would be suitable for a gluten-free diet. Thinking a roast loin of lamb with a "jus" my understanding being the meat juices I was told I couldn't have that, my next choice the duck with the "jus"proved to be just as difficult that too having stock and chef not having the container to say what was in the beef stock. Well that wasn't a good start the lamb and the duck having beef stock but hey ho whatever. My final "choice" the cod with chorizo wasn't bad but not brilliant the chorizo rather overpowered the fish. We seemed to wait a long time to be cleared and offered the pudding menu, we had been in the restaurant over an hour and a half when we were finally served our pudding. Given there were no gluten-free pudding options (crème brulee/panna cotta etc) chef made some sticky bananas with toffee sauce served with ice cream and beautifully presented - the highlight of my meal.Staff are very polite and they do their best in a busy restaurant but I just felt they were overwhelmed by the volume of diners and needed an experience maitre 'd to show them the ropes. Rather disappointed in my second and last visit.

Chic and sophisticated, food is really nice and certainly not very expensive. Could do with an older maître d , waiters and waitresses are students and do sometimes get things wrong, wrong glasses for white or red wine, don,t know the correct way tto serve etc, very pleasant but need an older and wiser person around to supervise them and give the place a bit more gravitas.
