Having a quick drink at the airport, Terminal 3 is not very nice, but Ryanair flies from here, so you can't complain. This place is always busy, no matter the time! Basically, everyone is getting a lot of drinks before their holiday.

Whilst the food was quite good, the staff were incredibly rude and made us feel guilty for being there. It was quite busy but there were two members of staff just chatting at the front. The table was absolutely filthy. When my drink arrived I asked the waiter if we could get the table cleared of the previous guests empties. He shouted over to the guy at the front who pulled a face. He grabbed the glassed and rubbish and left. There was still salt all over the table as well as drinks spills and stains. Our food was due and it was clear the guy wasn't coming back, he was back at the front chatting again. The food came, so we went to ask the girl who said she wouldn't clean the table unless we were ordering food. We pointed out that it was already here. She charged over and started spraying, which was going on the food so I had to tell her to stop whilst I picked the plates up. She swiped a few times across the table with a cloth and went, clearly in a strop to go back to the front chatting. The table was only half wiped. Update - I left this review whilst still in the restaurant. Just before leaving, the manager came to find me to ask about my experience and rectify the situation. Certainly didn't expect that, but was incredible impressed. So I upgraded my stars for service.

Ordered the Manchester Breakfast and it arrived with one egg (instead of two), which had a hair on it. The manager was happy to get me a replacement breakfast and added on some free toast and orange juice as well. Everything apart from the sausages and black pudding tasted good, although the grilled tomato could've been cooked for longer. Happy with the service though.

Never ate here. Was charging my phone and a couple with a young child came over to sit down. The child made some noise and knocked something off the table. A female employee came over with a terrible attitude and said they were now closing the section and we had to move. As I was leaving she was shaking her head muttering things under her breath. Although I think this review will go unnoticed as every review on here about this place seems to be the same and I would take a guess that they’re all about the same employee.

Horrible service, no customer service attitude. Long waiting queues but other guests that are finished waiting and making times on the tables, reading, occuping a big table although there are 2...and not consuming anything. They were still there when we left. Then we sat 4 persons on a table for 2 and we wanted to order through the qr code... Everywhere it is announced to order through that system and give our table number. See attached picture. Then we see its not working so we ask the waiter, there are 3 waiters standing and chatting all the time, and then they tell us we have to order at the bar. I go there and ineffective service. I order but their system is not working, so we move to another. Then we wait long time to get our food. Then my vegan burger was not only small, usual for airports, but also cold and not really good. The coffee also cold. The portion of curry is ridiculous but expensive. Well then I ask if there is a manager ad they ask our feedback. He never showed up. Then at the end one of those waiters asks if everything is fine. Obviously not. She asks me if I want to speak to the manager. Then finally Ms. Chloe shows up. She asks me, I tell her all the points. She just excuses and nothing happened. Welcome to great customer service. I think there is much to learn from this example. How it not should work. They could win much more. Happy guests, we are not the only ones, more money for the company, more efficient service, etc etc. Moral: one has to be willing to learn and if really interested in feedback get into action. The rest doesn't count. Only concrete actions.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this establishment, and it was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience of my life. The staff were incredibly rude, and the ordering process was utterly confusing. After waiting in line for over an hour to get a table, I was unceremoniously told to "go inside and find a table yourself," without any guidance or assistance. This was particularly frustrating in an environment where the food was subpar and the wait times were excessively long. Had the staff been polite and helpful, the experience might have been somewhat redeemable, but the combination of poor service and low-quality food made for an incredibly disappointing visit. It is evident that the staff require proper training in customer service. I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

We had a flight from Manchester with our close friends. We decided to go for dinner to the lion and antelope. There was no tables free for 4 people so we took 2 tables for 2 people each. We said that maybe something will free up later so we can potentially move. After some time, the table next to us freed up and our friends took their drinks with them and sat next to us. We where done with eating at this point so we where just having a drink before we left. A moment later the manager came up and started shouting at us that they (my friends) should have waited in line for the table. I tried to tell him calmly that they were sitting away from us but as the table freed up they sat next to us just till we finished our drinks. He was very rude and continued to raise his voice at us, especially at me as I was doing most of the talking. He wouldn’t listen and just kept getting louder. This is not the way to treat a customer and especially a woman. People in a managerial position should be cultured enough and know how to deal with customers properly and not just shout at them. Maybe he needs some extra training so he is aware that customers shouldn’t be treated like trash and shouted at. Unless that’s ok in your restaurant as the experience we had because of this man was terrible and I wouldn’t want anyone to be made to feel like that.

The staff were nice but the quality of the food and the price of it just didn't match. Will never eat there again.

Jan 2024 - changed the queuing at bar to a one in, one out system at the entrance. Worked really well. Got seated within 5 minutes. Ordered at the table. Drinks came first and then a small but adequate breakfast! Good service! Pint & a half of Guinness, 2 English breakfasts £34. Jan 2023 - 4 stars - vastly improved service, adequate English Breakfast with a good Guinness. Feb 2021 - 2 stars - Terminal 3, Manchester Airport. Pre-covid, it was a wonderful place to eat breakfast and enjoy a pint of Guinness, first thing before your flight. It made for an enjoyable start to any holiday, outbound from Terminal 3. Now, The Lion & Antelope struggles to meet demand. Long queues, no free tables, staff shortages, lower food quality and the lack of clean tables backed up with previous customers plates/glassware. Much improvement required for this once good establishment!

Long queues, terribly rude staff. Shocking experience the way they speak to you. I understand sometimes it can get busy but there is no need to speak to customers lie that. Would rather eat a sandwich from Pret around the corner than being treated like this. The italian pasta place directly next to this is a better option

Don’t waste your money on food. Didn’t try the beer as I was working and not going on holiday. Completely dull poorly trained staff and even worse kitchen staff that can’t make a sausage sandwich.

We ordered two vegetarian breakfasts for £11.99. Food was slow coming out but all in all was to an average standard. Nothing special and was a little small on the portion side. Food was hot and was ok. We ordered extra hashbrowns with our brekkie and were happy we did! Otherwise it would’ve been too small.

Considering it is AIRPORT and catering is not the prime objective I found food was very good. Very busy turnaround but service is great. Tables are being cleaned swiftly as people queuing to get a table. Not sure why people rating this place so low, I totally disagree. 4 * from me! Many thanks

Staff were just standing around doing nothing. I've watched the same 3 lads stand and chat doing nothing. Plenty of tables have empty/ dirty glasses that should be taken but they just leave them. Witnessed another customer ask for help then once he walked back to his table they proceeded to mock the customer with foul language and myself and others could hear exactly what they said with no attempt to hide it. I was on table 8 from 10:30am to 11:00am so if you would like to check cameras to find the useless employees because your paying them to stand around and do nothing. Would not recommend to anyone.

We had a beef cheese burger and fish and chips. The food was delicious and staff were very nice. Their mushy peas is the best I have eaten so far. Thank you.

Spent £12 on a vegan breakfast that consisted of 2 sausages, one TINY hash brown, a small amount of beans, half a tomato and mushroom and something that was supposed to be a take on egg which was vile, tasted like yeast and had the consistency of it too, I’m confused why they even have it on the breakfast, I asked if I could swap it for another hash brown to get my monies worth they said I’d have to pay, the whole breakfast was about 8 mouthfuls - absolute rip off - an improvement on last time when I was served meat <3 I’m used to being taken advantage of being vegan but this proper takes the piss, spoons do a better breakfast

It's an airport pub. Beer prices were not too bad at £5.50 a pint. Burger and chips a bit steap at £16. Service was via a Web link to order, food and drink at table in under 10 minutes. Portion size ok not as big as on high Street and could have been a bit bigger but not too bad. Service was friendly enough.

Apart from chap who brought me my breakfast, who was helpful and smiled, the two other staff I had the misfortune to ask questions of were just rude! Food was greasy and overpriced, like all airport fare.

After a five hour delay, we were credited with a voucher by Ryanair which could not be used there. They also confused drinks. It was overcrowded and we could not get seated to eat so ended up sharing a table and no food.we were sent to a service desk which was unmanned.
