Very strange visit. The table greeter had put paper with crosses and Jesus saves over half the menu at the door and continued to stare at my wife and I for ages. We left without eating because we were so uncomfortable. If it was any other religious symbol half the airport would be rioting.

The worst place in the world, you order through a scanner on the table, which is supposed to make ordering and waiting in line easier, after ordering you wait for 2 beers for 30 minutes, after an incredibly long wait and no beer being brought, we decided to deal with it, we showed that money had been taken from our bottle and 4 waiters got together and refuted our claim, they said we received the order and they don't believe us that we didn't receive it, I hereby greet the ridiculous little and red-haired waiter who smiled and mocked the whole time during the conversation.. We didn't receive the items we paid for, we had to pay for them again twice!!

I've read a few negative reviews about this place but my experience was very different. One thing I'm really keen to point out is that the blond lady who has been unfairly targeted was very friendly and helpful so I'd like to balance those views with my positive experience. The manager helped me get a nice meal and they cooked a nice double burger for me as I requested and even came to ask if I was happy. Furthermore our horrid Ryan air fought was delayed by 2 hours and 55 minutes so we managed to spend time here bantering with other travellers. Only negative aspect of our travel is the fact that we had to use Manchester Airport which sucks in general for service and facilities (I've been through all the terminals and they are all the same). Who ever was given the job or planning needs a word!

Group of 10 of us having food and drinks before a flight, 3 of our party gets up to go to the toilet. Waiter sticks his fingers in 3 glasses to empty the table. We stop him, and say they are still drinking them. The palava and drama to get these drinks replaced was a joke. Refused to replace them, straight told those sat down should have stopped the waiter, (which we had). Considering the amount of of money we spent, shocked they arguing over the wholesale cost of one pint of lager and a cider. Could do with some customer service training.

Decent food but poor service. On Saturday 5 April, a pretty quiet afternoon, It took 45 minutes for a burger, wings and nuggets. Staff were cluless wondering and there was a poorly hygienic handling of cutlery, glassware, and straws. I left a 10% tip when I ordered with the app - big mistake of mine, not deserved.

Seven staff members just blabbering away behind the bar with just one till on so had a big queue. The bar style benches in the seating area have sockets but none of the usb ones work and it took 4 attempts to find a socket that'd work with a standard phone charger plug. Expectations are hardly high - It's an airport bar - I expect a drink in a reasonable time and sockets that works - sadly it failed on both counts.

Dear The Lion and the Antilope Team, I wanted to share my recent experience at your establishment, as I believe feedback is important for maintaining quality and service standards. I visited at 6 AM for breakfast and was surprised by the inconsistency in food temperature. While the scrambled eggs were fresh and hot, the rest of the meal was noticeably cold, which was disappointing given the £16 price. When I raised this with the manager, Dasher, I was informed that all food is cooked fresh. However, the stark contrast in temperature suggested otherwise. I was only offered a free drink rather than a replacement meal, which did not address the issue. My expectation was simple: a properly prepared, hot breakfast. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that the quality did not match the cost, and I would not recommend it based on this visit. As I sipped my latte, I couldn't help but feel like I was in a breakfast wonderland. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like I was eating in someone's home, but with way better food. I had the child's burger just because I wanted a quick snack, it was just £7 and actually a decent portion though the burger was quite bare, I added the ketchup. I liked the seasoning of the burger meat though. Service was quick and reasonably convenient with the QR scanning thing. The food is better than I would have expected (talking mostly about my friends chicken shawarma) from an airport food place. It's just the prices which are inflated like crazy for profiteering that I don't like, or maybe that's just down to supply and demand.

Over priced sh#te breakfasts. We ordered a full Monty and a veggie breakfast. Menu said veggie breakfast came with beans and grilled tomatoes, arrived with no beans and chopped tinned tomatoes. When we questioned this with the front of house staff, they informed us that it was a choice of either beans or tomatoes, this was not stated in the menu or at the till on ordering. In whole the breakfasts were bland and minimal. Would have been better getting a bag of bacon crisps from W H Smiths.

Just an update - I am now in Brussels and still haven't received my beer. Further update - It's been months and I still haven't received my beer. Further update - it is now boxing day 2024 and my beer is yet to arrive. I'll be honest, at this point my hopes are dwindling and I fear I may never receive the sweet over priced nectar. That being said I will remain open minded in the hope that it will arrive any minute now..

It's an airport restaurant, so expectations were low. Not disappointed! Ordering is from the app at the table or can be from the bar, (order from the bar, much quicker) Food not bad, but quality meah, and of course leaves you wishing you had spent the money on an additional day in the sun. To be fair ,flight delays and the staff being over run didn't help its cause. But a big thank you to the bar staff who without hesitation replaced a wrongly ordered beer, so not all bad. Not great, but which airport food in the UK is? Never wished for McDonalds quite so much. The tag line for this location is "The place to enjoy a truly Mancunian Pub and kitchen Experience" Its not, and it isn't. Except perhaps for the servers.

Whilst the food was quite good, the staff were incredibly rude and made us feel guilty for being there. It was quite busy but there were two members of staff just chatting at the front. The table was absolutely filthy. When my drink arrived I asked the waiter if we could get the table cleared of the previous guests empties. He shouted over to the guy at the front who pulled a face. He grabbed the glassed and rubbish and left. There was still salt all over the table as well as drinks spills and stains. Our food was due and it was clear the guy wasn't coming back, he was back at the front chatting again. The food came, so we went to ask the girl who said she wouldn't clean the table unless we were ordering food. We pointed out that it was already here. She charged over and started spraying, which was going on the food so I had to tell her to stop whilst I picked the plates up. She swiped a few times across the table with a cloth and went, clearly in a strop to go back to the front chatting. The table was only half wiped. Update - I left this review whilst still in the restaurant. Just before leaving, the manager came to find me to ask about my experience and rectify the situation. Certainly didn't expect that, but was incredible impressed. So I upgraded my stars for service.

The manager was happy to get me a replacement breakfast and added on some free toast and orange juice as well. Everything apart from the sausages and black pudding tasted good, although the grilled tomato could've been cooked for longer. Happy with the service though.

Never ate here. Was charging my phone and a couple with a young child came over to sit down. The child made some noise and knocked something off the table. A female employee came over with a terrible attitude and said they were now closing the section and we had to move. As I was leaving she was shaking her head muttering things under her breath. Although I think this review will go unnoticed as every review on here about this place seems to be the same and I would take a guess that they’re all about the same employee.

Horrible service, no customer service attitude. Long waiting queues but other guests that are finished waiting and making times on the tables, reading, occuping a big table although there are 2...and not consuming anything. They were still there when we left. Then we sat 4 persons on a table for 2 and we wanted to order through the qr code... Everywhere it is announced to order through that system and give our table number. See attached picture. Then we see its not working so we ask the waiter, there are 3 waiters standing and chatting all the time, and then they tell us we have to order at the bar. I go there and ineffective service. I order but their system is not working, so we move to another. Then we wait long time to get our food. Then my vegan burger was not only small, usual for airports, but also cold and not really good. The coffee also cold. The portion of curry is ridiculous but expensive. Well then I ask if there is a manager ad they ask our feedback. He never showed up. Then at the end one of those waiters asks if everything is fine. Obviously not. She asks me if I want to speak to the manager. Then finally Ms. Chloe shows up. She asks me, I tell her all the points. She just excuses and nothing happened. Welcome to great customer service. I think there is much to learn from this example. How it not should work. They could win much more. Happy guests, we are not the only ones, more money for the company, more efficient service, etc etc. Moral: one has to be willing to learn and if really interested in feedback get into action. The rest doesn't count. Only concrete actions.

The food came out within 5 mins of ordering but the chip must of been batch cooked and under a lamp on hot plate as they were dehydrated more than me. The burger bun was slightly stale and the gherkins did taste too good, the meat was so processed, Lettuce was ok. Was given no cutlery (sort of understand ) but also not napkins for my hand after being forced eat with hands! For £20 you would think I could of been better

It's the terminal 3 airport pub so overpriced, limited menu choice. Fine but basic and surrounded by people drinking at 4am while eating breakfast!

I've Just Been To The Lion And Antelope For Breakfast And Trust Me It's WAYYY Better Than 3.2 Stars!! I Had Some Pancakes And Hash Browns For Breakfast And The Pancakes Were Delish! 😋 They Were Gorgeously Fluffy And The Syrup Was Spectacular! So Were The Hash Browns! The Food Was Tasty And The Orange Juice Was Alright! Kudos To The Staff! Also There's Chargers 4 Ur Phone| Btw The Food That My Dad Had Was Like Pretty Bad (it was the full English) So Please Please Don't Order That! (The Drop In Stars Was Because Of That) And The Coffee Was Cheap. Mostly Overpriced But Some Parts Are Ok

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this establishment, and it was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience of my life. The staff were incredibly rude, and the ordering process was utterly confusing. After waiting in line for over an hour to get a table, I was unceremoniously told to "go inside and find a table yourself," without any guidance or assistance. This was particularly frustrating in an environment where the food was subpar and the wait times were excessively long. Had the staff been polite and helpful, the experience might have been somewhat redeemable, but the combination of poor service and low-quality food made for an incredibly disappointing visit. It is evident that the staff require proper training in customer service. I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

Full Monty breakfast £17 for everything proper oil deep fry. Extremely bad breakfast. 1 extra star for nice cold beer. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast at all

In Manchester Airport with hours to spare before catching our flight to Benidorm for a ten days holiday my twin brother and I decided to drop into The Lion & Antilope ,been here before, always had a positive experience and so it proved on our latest visit. A good airport pub ,its big ,a cool looking serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options. We got a lager each ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Beer served in here was spot on, it was really good enjoying a delicious beer and looking forward to our holiday in the sun. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.

We had a flight from Manchester with our close friends. We decided to go for dinner to the lion and antelope. There was no tables free for 4 people so we took 2 tables for 2 people each. We said that maybe something will free up later so we can potentially move. After some time, the table next to us freed up and our friends took their drinks with them and sat next to us. We where done with eating at this point so we where just having a drink before we left. A moment later the manager came up and started shouting at us that they (my friends) should have waited in line for the table. I tried to tell him calmly that they were sitting away from us but as the table freed up they sat next to us just till we finished our drinks. He was very rude and continued to raise his voice at us, especially at me as I was doing most of the talking. He wouldn’t listen and just kept getting louder. This is not the way to treat a customer and especially a woman. People in a managerial position should be cultured enough and know how to deal with customers properly and not just shout at them. Maybe he needs some extra training so he is aware that customers shouldn’t be treated like trash and shouted at. Unless that’s ok in your restaurant as the experience we had because of this man was terrible and I wouldn’t want anyone to be made to feel like that.

We got the 11.99 breakfast and was very disappointed had to pay extra for toast and tea went at 3.45 amin the morning they open at 3am the hottest thing in the breakfast was the tea as everything else was less than warm, quality of items on the plate was cheap half a mushroom sausage not much bigger than a cocktail sausage tomato had some herb on it didn't taste right couldn't eat it , it cost us 33 pounds for the two of us will never buy food from them again .Don't usually post reviews but was so annoyed with it don't want other people wasting there money on it this was only this Thursday 27th june

As I have a gluten intolerance, I usually struggle to find suitable food in airport cafes and restaurants, but my experience at the Lion and Antelope couldn't have been more different. The lovely host was so helpful and professional, she came to our table and went through the menu, explaining what I could have and what could be adapted. She also suggested placing my order at the bar rather than through the QR code and that I should let the server know of my intolerance, which I did, and she went to double check with the chefs that what I was ordering was gluten free. Very impressed.

Food came fast but: mushrooms were very rubbery, chips weren’t cooked, bacon wasn’t cooked, sausage was over cooked and the portion size was awful, in addition to this the waitress did not ask if we needed anything , not worth half the price.

This is supposed to be a J W Lees bar. Visited 18th June. No real ales, all hand pumps have the ale indicator turned round. Asked when it was last on, apparently a week ago . Very poor, had to drink lager. Not recommended

Shisha was lacking flavour spoke to staff they said it was fine so what can you say lol asthetically it was nice but seemed abit cramped. But defo would try it again atleast once.
