You know what, I often give these places a hard time, but £6.60 for a well kept pint of cask beer in an airport is really not bad. Helpful/friendly staff.

Lucky to get one star. Ordered beans on toast and they brought out tomatoes on toast. Said it was our fault and they refused to replace or refund as they said it was my fault. Nice way to treat customers blame them and don't help them when they make a mistake. Waitress rolled her eyes and kept saying it's your fault

Very strange visit. The table greeter had put paper with crosses and Jesus saves over half the menu at the door and continued to stare at my wife and I for ages. We left without eating because we were so uncomfortable. If it was any other religious symbol half the airport would be rioting.

Chicken loaded fries is amazing! Good fast service through QR code but drinks could be colder and they never bring the nuts!

Understaffed and most uncomfortable seating. Avoid the high stools even if it’s just a drink.

Food app doesn't work and your told to go to bar to order. Pre pat and expected to give a tip before you even get served. Rubbish. Up your game folks and have staff that look even partially interested in service

Avoid service is shocking - you are better going elsewhere and don’t order on the app apparently it’s standard for drinks to take 30 mins to arrive

The worst place in the world, you order through a scanner on the table, which is supposed to make ordering and waiting in line easier, after ordering you wait for 2 beers for 30 minutes, after an incredibly long wait and no beer being brought, we decided to deal with it, we showed that money had been taken from our bottle and 4 waiters got together and refuted our claim, they said we received the order and they don't believe us that we didn't receive it, I hereby greet the ridiculous little and red-haired waiter who smiled and mocked the whole time during the conversation.. We didn't receive the items we paid for, we had to pay for them again twice!!

I've read a few negative reviews about this place but my experience was very different. One thing I'm really keen to point out is that the blond lady who has been unfairly targeted was very friendly and helpful so I'd like to balance those views with my positive experience. The manager helped me get a nice meal and they cooked a nice double burger for me as I requested and even came to ask if I was happy. Furthermore our horrid Ryan air fought was delayed by 2 hours and 55 minutes so we managed to spend time here bantering with other travellers. Only negative aspect of our travel is the fact that we had to use Manchester Airport which sucks in general for service and facilities (I've been through all the terminals and they are all the same). Who ever was given the job or planning needs a word!

Group of 10 of us having food and drinks before a flight, 3 of our party gets up to go to the toilet. Waiter sticks his fingers in 3 glasses to empty the table. We stop him, and say they are still drinking them. The palava and drama to get these drinks replaced was a joke. Refused to replace them, straight told those sat down should have stopped the waiter, (which we had). Considering the amount of of money we spent, shocked they arguing over the wholesale cost of one pint of lager and a cider. Could do with some customer service training.

We came here for breakfast last week before a very early morning flight ! Service was fantastic staff very friendly and a great atmosphere in the restaurant .Service was quick we ordered hash browns and chorizo and waffles with bacon both I can highly recommend - delicious .

Decent food but poor service. On Saturday 5 April, a pretty quiet afternoon, It took 45 minutes for a burger, wings and nuggets. Staff were cluless wondering and there was a poorly hygienic handling of cutlery, glassware, and straws. I left a 10% tip when I ordered with the app - big mistake of mine, not deserved.

Have come through Manchester airport twice and both times the Middle Aged blonde woman who is the manager has been terribly rude to the staff and customers. Feel terribly sorry for anyone working there having to deal with her.

Music coming from the bar is so jarring when you have had traffic jams and struggling to park to get to the airport. All we wanted to do was relax but had The Beastie Boys and other heavy metal music booming out at 9.30 in the morning. This is clearly not a place they want you to linger.

We had the fish finger burger with chips. It was so good. Service was super quick despite the place being full. The waitress that served us was so kind and helful. She immedately found us a spot.

Got hear at 13.15 Wednesday 05/03/25 .So asked for a MPA beer which they had run dry of!!! So went for the bitter. Managed to just about get the last pint !! Not great. Very disappointed. Won't bother again !!!

Seven staff members just blabbering away behind the bar with just one till on so had a big queue. The bar style benches in the seating area have sockets but none of the usb ones work and it took 4 attempts to find a socket that'd work with a standard phone charger plug. Expectations are hardly high - It's an airport bar - I expect a drink in a reasonable time and sockets that works - sadly it failed on both counts.

I visited at 6 AM for breakfast and was surprised by the inconsistency in food temperature. While the scrambled eggs were fresh and hot, the rest of the meal was noticeably cold, which was disappointing given the £16 price. When I raised this with the manager, Dasher, I was informed that all food is cooked fresh. However, the stark contrast in temperature suggested otherwise. I was only offered a free drink rather than a replacement meal, which did not address the issue. My expectation was simple: a properly prepared, hot breakfast. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that the quality did not match the cost, and I would not recommend it based on this visit. I hope you take this feedback into account to improve your service.

Food was cold and portion size was more kiddy friendly than that if an adult.

If breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then this place is basically a life-changing experience! From the moment I walked in, the delicious aroma of sizzling bacon and fresh coffee hit me like a warm hug. The staff greeted me with a smile so big, it could rival the size of their pancake stacks! The menu? Oh, where do I even begin? The omelets were fluffy clouds of eggy goodness, and the avocado toast was so fresh I almost asked if they grow the avocados right in the back. And don't even get me started on the French toast — it was like a golden slice of heaven sprinkled with cinnamon sugar magic. As I sipped my latte, I couldn't help but feel like I was in a breakfast wonderland. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like I was eating in someone's home, but with way better food. This place truly takes breakfast to the next level — if you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and make it your first stop. You won’t regret it… unless you’re not into mind-blowing deliciousness.

Overly priced for the quality. What you see in the pic is called "Tea Special" on the menu 😵

Food was disgusting quality and my glass of coke was flat as if it had been poured from a 1.5 litre bottle that had been opened last week. The cutlery was also dirty and had dried old food on it still.

I had the child's burger just because I wanted a quick snack, it was just £7 and actually a decent portion though the burger was quite bare, I added the ketchup. I liked the seasoning of the burger meat though. Service was quick and reasonably convenient with the QR scanning thing. The food is better than I would have expected (talking mostly about my friends chicken shawarma) from an airport food place. It's just the prices which are inflated like crazy for profiteering that I don't like, or maybe that's just down to supply and demand.

I came for a before flight breakfast and found hair in my food, and the portion sizes are tiny for the price. Wouldn’t recommend

Over priced sh#te breakfasts. We ordered a full Monty and a veggie breakfast. Menu said veggie breakfast came with beans and grilled tomatoes, arrived with no beans and chopped tinned tomatoes. When we questioned this with the front of house staff, they informed us that it was a choice of either beans or tomatoes, this was not stated in the menu or at the till on ordering. In whole the breakfasts were bland and minimal. Would have been better getting a bag of bacon crisps from W H Smiths.

Got the CLUB, it was inedible due to the salt. Asked to change my side to another side and was told it wasn’t possible. Really disappointed. Almost €20 and would’ve been fuller and had a better time with a meal deal.

Busy location in terminal 3 in Manchester Airport. Always a nice place to chill before departure.

Breakfast was ok should include toast tho on english 1.99 extra food warm 2 bacon 1 sausage 2 small half tomatoes 1 mushroom all tasted ok no decaff coffee or tea which is poor expensive but it's an airport so you get fleeced

Food fine. Manager overseeing the floor / bar staff had one of the worst attitudes I have ever come across. Disgusting behavior talking to one member of staff terribly who was doing nothing more than being helpful. She made it very clear she didn’t like him, spoke to him in a derogatory manner. Quite embarrassing really especially in front of customers.

The service was long, quality pretty low as expected for an airport restaurant, but the worst is that I got food poisoning from eating there. I had doubts eating my Caesar salad which had a tanguy taste, now I know. Avoid.

Breakfast horrifically overpriced for what it is. Food was bang average. Was told that drinks would be 40 mins alone due to a backlog of orders. I am still sat here waiting for my drink.. another business taking advantage of an airport location who can't actually handle any degree of pressure. On a plus the lady who seated us was lovely. Just an update - I am now in Brussels and still haven't received my beer. Further update - It's been months and I still haven't received my beer. Further update - it is now boxing day 2024 and my beer is yet to arrive. I'll be honest, at this point my hopes are dwindling and I fear I may never receive the sweet over priced nectar. That being said I will remain open minded in the hope that it will arrive any minute now..

Beer terrible portion size appalling

We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, and then everything went quickly, about 5 minutes after lunch we had the order on the table, so we highly recommend it 👍

The service staff here are decent, and will resolve issues quickly. The food however.. just don't bother. I'd say most of it is just microwaved stuff. Awful. You'd be better off going to the KFC next door.

It's an airport restaurant, so expectations were low. Not disappointed! Ordering is from the app at the table or can be from the bar, (order from the bar, much quicker) Food not bad, but quality meah, and of course leaves you wishing you had spent the money on an additional day in the sun. To be fair ,flight delays and the staff being over run didn't help its cause. But a big thank you to the bar staff who without hesitation replaced a wrongly ordered beer, so not all bad. Not great, but which airport food in the UK is? Never wished for McDonalds quite so much. The tag line for this location is "The place to enjoy a truly Mancunian Pub and kitchen Experience" Its not, and it isn't. Except perhaps for the servers.

Having a quick drink at the airport, Terminal 3 is not very nice, but Ryanair flies from here, so you can't complain. This place is always busy, no matter the time! Basically, everyone is getting a lot of drinks before their holiday.

Whilst the food was quite good, the staff were incredibly rude and made us feel guilty for being there. It was quite busy but there were two members of staff just chatting at the front. The table was absolutely filthy. When my drink arrived I asked the waiter if we could get the table cleared of the previous guests empties. He shouted over to the guy at the front who pulled a face. He grabbed the glassed and rubbish and left. There was still salt all over the table as well as drinks spills and stains. Our food was due and it was clear the guy wasn't coming back, he was back at the front chatting again. The food came, so we went to ask the girl who said she wouldn't clean the table unless we were ordering food. We pointed out that it was already here. She charged over and started spraying, which was going on the food so I had to tell her to stop whilst I picked the plates up. She swiped a few times across the table with a cloth and went, clearly in a strop to go back to the front chatting. The table was only half wiped. Update - I left this review whilst still in the restaurant. Just before leaving, the manager came to find me to ask about my experience and rectify the situation. Certainly didn't expect that, but was incredible impressed. So I upgraded my stars for service.

The food is barely food. Reheated chewy, stale junk at gastro prices. Just don’t! Staff are nice. But whoever owns it needs a talking to!

Worst Guinness this side of drinking it second hand, avoid like a woman with a diseased lady garden

Plenty of bar staff on at 06:30am Wednesday, good atmosphere and service spot on. Happy with the prices. Will return if/when in T3 again. No issues with stock availability. Clean and tidy.

This was a superb pub for a pre flight drink, located conveniently by the airport's shops! Counter is well presented and staff were nice, we enjoyed our drinks including my Somersby Cider and not surprised at higher prices since it is an airport.

Well what can you expect from an airport bar/restaurant? The food was fine, overpriced as usual, but filling. The table service was appreciated however, otherwise I'd have had to battle through dozens of people sinking pints at 7.30 in the morning. Classic Manchester.

Ordered the Manchester Breakfast and it arrived with one egg (instead of two), which had a hair on it. The manager was happy to get me a replacement breakfast and added on some free toast and orange juice as well. Everything apart from the sausages and black pudding tasted good, although the grilled tomato could've been cooked for longer. Happy with the service though.

Never ate here. Was charging my phone and a couple with a young child came over to sit down. The child made some noise and knocked something off the table. A female employee came over with a terrible attitude and said they were now closing the section and we had to move. As I was leaving she was shaking her head muttering things under her breath. Although I think this review will go unnoticed as every review on here about this place seems to be the same and I would take a guess that they’re all about the same employee.

Dirty glasses always with 100% probability. If you say them they say that you have to ask for a “extra clean” glass ahahahahah. Guys you serve only dirty glasses and you always say they is normal. Is crazy. Now there is 1 star to give, if there was zero star you deserve 0 star

I ordered a "BACON BUTTY 5.99 Back bacon in a brioche style bun. for £5.99" I have never seen such a poor amount of Bacon!! See Photo. I know airport food is expensive, but absolutely NO excuse to add 2 very small bits of bacon and the bun was not "Brioche Style" cheapest bun they could find, so value for money verses food quantity - Zero

£15.49 for a Manchester Breakfast well what an awful breakfast the black pudding wasn't cooked properly and the Cumberland sausages (as stated on the menu) were not Cumberland sausages (trade's description act comes to mind) breakfast Luke warm too wouldn't recommend this place in any way shape or form to anyone or anything Just a RIP off

Horrible service, no customer service attitude. Long waiting queues but other guests that are finished waiting and making times on the tables, reading, occuping a big table although there are 2...and not consuming anything. They were still there when we left. Then we sat 4 persons on a table for 2 and we wanted to order through the qr code... Everywhere it is announced to order through that system and give our table number. See attached picture. Then we see its not working so we ask the waiter, there are 3 waiters standing and chatting all the time, and then they tell us we have to order at the bar. I go there and ineffective service. I order but their system is not working, so we move to another. Then we wait long time to get our food. Then my vegan burger was not only small, usual for airports, but also cold and not really good. The coffee also cold. The portion of curry is ridiculous but expensive. Well then I ask if there is a manager ad they ask our feedback. He never showed up. Then at the end one of those waiters asks if everything is fine. Obviously not. She asks me if I want to speak to the manager. Then finally Ms. Chloe shows up. She asks me, I tell her all the points. She just excuses and nothing happened. Welcome to great customer service. I think there is much to learn from this example. How it not should work. They could win much more. Happy guests, we are not the only ones, more money for the company, more efficient service, etc etc. Moral: one has to be willing to learn and if really interested in feedback get into action. The rest doesn't count. Only concrete actions.

Absolutely dire food. How can you get and sausage bao and bacon bap SO wrong. The taste was awful and the cost ridiculous. As for the cappuccino…£3.85 for half a cup of like warm coffee

The food came out within 5 mins of ordering but the chip must of been batch cooked and under a lamp on hot plate as they were dehydrated more than me. The burger bun was slightly stale and the gherkins did taste too good, the meat was so processed, Lettuce was ok. Was given no cutlery (sort of understand ) but also not napkins for my hand after being forced eat with hands! For £20 you would think I could of been better

So expensive which wasn’t a surprise as it’s airside at terminal 3. i didn’t expect a lot from the food and still managed to be disappointed. If your charging £6 for a sausage sandwich you could at least add butter to the bread

Ordered 3 sausage butties for myself and my family, arrived pretty quick however all of which were stone cold. The bun wasn’t warm and had a lump of unspreaded butter on the bottom half. The sausages were tasteless and not to the temperature required by food safety policies. Very disappointed, should have ate elsewhere.

Possibly the worst quality food I’ve ever eaten, paid £37 for 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks. It’s cheaper at San Carlos. How Manchester airport can have this in it is just a joke. Food makes you feel sick. The staff are like something out of a zombie apocalypse. Avoid

Good for what it is very long wate to be seated

Standard airport fare. Expensive, pretty crowded, average food. Had the fish n chips and a bit better than I expected. Also came within about 15 mins of ordering so not too long. Pint of JW Lees lager as bitter was off, bit of a rip off at £6.50 but captive airport market.

Visited on the 03/09/24 - Had some breakfast at the Lion and Antelope whilst waiting for flight. Had pancakes with bacon, it was edible, but given the choice again I wouldn't eat here again.

Rude staff. The bar staff called Mike should not be in the hospitality industry with the attitude he has against customers. His attitude was disgusting

It's the terminal 3 airport pub so overpriced, limited menu choice. Fine but basic and surrounded by people drinking at 4am while eating breakfast!

I've Just Been To The Lion And Antelope For Breakfast And Trust Me It's WAYYY Better Than 3.2 Stars!! I Had Some Pancakes And Hash Browns For Breakfast And The Pancakes Were Delish! 😋 They Were Gorgeously Fluffy And The Syrup Was Spectacular! So Were The Hash Browns! The Food Was Tasty And The Orange Juice Was Alright! Kudos To The Staff! Also There's Chargers 4 Ur Phone| Btw The Food That My Dad Had Was Like Pretty Bad (it was the full English) So Please Please Don't Order That! (The Drop In Stars Was Because Of That) And The Coffee Was Cheap. Mostly Overpriced But Some Parts Are Ok

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this establishment, and it was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience of my life. The staff were incredibly rude, and the ordering process was utterly confusing. After waiting in line for over an hour to get a table, I was unceremoniously told to "go inside and find a table yourself," without any guidance or assistance. This was particularly frustrating in an environment where the food was subpar and the wait times were excessively long. Had the staff been polite and helpful, the experience might have been somewhat redeemable, but the combination of poor service and low-quality food made for an incredibly disappointing visit. It is evident that the staff require proper training in customer service. I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

Full Monty breakfast £17 for everything proper oil deep fry. Extremely bad breakfast. 1 extra star for nice cold beer. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast at all

In Manchester Airport with hours to spare before catching our flight to Benidorm for a ten days holiday my twin brother and I decided to drop into The Lion & Antilope ,been here before, always had a positive experience and so it proved on our latest visit. A good airport pub ,its big ,a cool looking serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options. We got a lager each ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Beer served in here was spot on, it was really good enjoying a delicious beer and looking forward to our holiday in the sun. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.

Place is filthy and takes 30mins for an Americano

We had a flight from Manchester with our close friends. We decided to go for dinner to the lion and antelope. There was no tables free for 4 people so we took 2 tables for 2 people each. We said that maybe something will free up later so we can potentially move. After some time, the table next to us freed up and our friends took their drinks with them and sat next to us. We where done with eating at this point so we where just having a drink before we left. A moment later the manager came up and started shouting at us that they (my friends) should have waited in line for the table. I tried to tell him calmly that they were sitting away from us but as the table freed up they sat next to us just till we finished our drinks. He was very rude and continued to raise his voice at us, especially at me as I was doing most of the talking. He wouldn’t listen and just kept getting louder. This is not the way to treat a customer and especially a woman. People in a managerial position should be cultured enough and know how to deal with customers properly and not just shout at them. Maybe he needs some extra training so he is aware that customers shouldn’t be treated like trash and shouted at. Unless that’s ok in your restaurant as the experience we had because of this man was terrible and I wouldn’t want anyone to be made to feel like that.

We got the 11.99 breakfast and was very disappointed had to pay extra for toast and tea went at 3.45 amin the morning they open at 3am the hottest thing in the breakfast was the tea as everything else was less than warm, quality of items on the plate was cheap half a mushroom sausage not much bigger than a cocktail sausage tomato had some herb on it didn't taste right couldn't eat it , it cost us 33 pounds for the two of us will never buy food from them again .Don't usually post reviews but was so annoyed with it don't want other people wasting there money on it this was only this Thursday 27th june

As I have a gluten intolerance, I usually struggle to find suitable food in airport cafes and restaurants, but my experience at the Lion and Antelope couldn't have been more different. The lovely host was so helpful and professional, she came to our table and went through the menu, explaining what I could have and what could be adapted. She also suggested placing my order at the bar rather than through the QR code and that I should let the server know of my intolerance, which I did, and she went to double check with the chefs that what I was ordering was gluten free. Very impressed.

Food came fast but: mushrooms were very rubbery, chips weren’t cooked, bacon wasn’t cooked, sausage was over cooked and the portion size was awful, in addition to this the waitress did not ask if we needed anything , not worth half the price.

This is supposed to be a J W Lees bar. Visited 18th June. No real ales, all hand pumps have the ale indicator turned round. Asked when it was last on, apparently a week ago . Very poor, had to drink lager. Not recommended

Woeful overpriced underwhelming food. Captive audience is the only reason it can be a viable business.
