We visited the Links during a small rain shower and with our dog could sit under a huge golf umbrella outside the restaurant. The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for us. My gluten free options were many and explained well to me. I opted for a cheese and onion toastie on GF bread and a portion of chips with a cup of tea. The meal was delicious and served with a smile. We will be back.

Lovely wee cafe. Very friendly staff. Big menu choice & fantastic home baking - the odd pesky fly suggests a need for a insect zapper on the wall. Always a good bet especially if the weather’s dodgy - no nonsense good food experience - I’ll be back!

Generally a decent little cafe , the food and drinks are fine and value for money is pretty good. Drawbacks are that they don't take cards, cash only. This is a major inconvenience in this day and age especially when the nearest atm is a good 10 minute walk away. They also provide off brand sauces on the tables, Brake bros I believe, which are truly unpleasant. An extra few pounds spent on the big brands like H.P and Heinz would definitely make people more likely to enjoy their food and want to return. I had a bacon roll which I have to say would have been a truly great bacon roll with very generous amount of bacon and lovely soft roll but the cheap nasty sauce really spoiled it. Also there were a lot of flies getting in our faces when we were trying to eat, I can't expect the tea room to stop the flies coming in but I noticed a fly zapper on their wall which was not switched on.

I suppose we should have expected a nice little cafe as it was so busy, but it is an unprepossessing little place, where there are a few tables inside and lots outside overlooking the sea and a great children's play area. I am gluten free and had the best gluten free bread I have ever tasted with my soup. We all enjoyed our light snacks, then the ice cream selection. Being a fine day, they were very rushed, but they reamained pleasant and the food was worth waiting for.

We have walked past here on numerous occasions as it's an easy walk from the harbour to the golf club, along the sea wall. Today we decided to stop for a coffee and cake. We both had Americana's with hot milk on the side, I had a Chocolate Muffin and my husband had Lemmon Drizzle Cake. The coffees were excellent, large, hot and at £1.80, fantastic value. The cakes were both fresh and delicious. All for £6.40.Lovely place to sit outside and enjoy the fantastic view with seating inside when it's not so good. Recommended, we will stop here again.

We were looking for breakfast on bank holiday Monday (May 2016) and I popped my head in the open door here at 9.58 to ask if they were open and could we come in and were told they opened at 10.00. I took my head out saying "that was ok and we would go and get breakfast somewhere else!" Someone did come and shout after when we were walking away could they help but I have to say by that time I wasn't inclined to wait. So Poor on service and I can't comment on anything else as we never ate and I'm not sure I'll go back. And we do live locally. Disappointingly this was the second place we'd tried in Nairn that morning. The first wouldn't sell us (the only customers in the place) a panini as they only served them at lunchtime. We went to our favourite at the Station (which I've already reviewed highly on here!)

Nothing fancy, just a good old fashioned tearoom. Toasted sandwiches, beans on toast, chips etc- my young daughters love it and when it opens again each Easter we know that Spring is, in theory, here. My only gripes would be that the portions on the menu are way too big for young children, and possibly a set in of the menu should be for smaller, child sized dishes. Also, I remember the sandwiches coming with salad garnish before- this was missing today, which was a shame.

It's difficult to get much wrong when you are serving a couple of hot drinks and a piece of cake and the only real differences can be the location and the service. The location of the Links TeaRoom is superb and right on the beach front, plus there are options to sit inside or out. However, the service we received was rather more lukewarm and provided by a person who couldn't even muster a smile or provide the right change. With so many options for people to spend their hard earned cash, they need to feel good about spending their money with businesses and that wasn't the lasting impression we were left with.

I live very close to this place so very occasionally pop in for a bite to eat, or a coffee if I'm too lazy to do it at home. On Sunday (27th March) we popped in for coffee and hot chocolate after a walk along the beach. The service was very slow, but reasonably friendly and both the decaffeinated latte (for me) and the hot chocolate (for my partner) were excellent. The TeaRoom only re-opened a few days ago, just before Easter, after having been closed as usual over the winter, but I expect it will do a roaring trade over coming months. I/we will probably pop in a few times in coming months and recommend it, provided you are not in a rushing hurry.

Visited on 25/10. After long walk with my wife, we decided to have lunch at the links tearoom, as we hadn't visited for many years. On the plus side you can sit out or as we did as it was a little chilly we sat in. It is pleasant enough inside but lacks the personal touch as you have to go to the counter to order your food, rather than them coming to your table for order! They only serve a full breakfast from 10-12, we entered at 12.25, so a little disappointed at this however, I ordered chips, beans sausage and egg on toast, my wife a scone with jam and we had a pot of tea for two, this was excellent value for money at just under £10 and my wife enjoyed her scone and jam. However my meal was very poor, sausages were ok, not butchers however, beans were re-heated and chips ok, quite a few were too hard to eat, but for some reason we got two fried eggs on toast when only ordered one, toast was more like bread and fried eggs were overdone, the yolk was solid rather than runny!I should have really complained at this, but didn't want to make a scene as it was quite busy but really if you cant serve a basic fry well it is disappointing. Even with the prices being very reasonable it should be better than it is - not a patch on The Basil at the harbour whos breakfast is outstanding with freshly cooked butchers products

We stopped in without high expectations, as beachside tea rooms are often overpriced and disappointing. One of our group were looking for non-dairy milk and we didn't have high hopes. However they turned out to not only have soy milk but also gluten and dairy-free home baking availale in addition to other delicious-looking temptations. The coffee was good and actually hot, which is increasingly rare and the diary free cake was, I'm told, delicious.

This was our last of many visits to the tearoom. On 29 July 2013 my wife and I ordered tea for two at the tearoom, only to be served with a pot of tea for one. The tearoom gave small cups and the pot of tea only filled the cups once to three quarters. This cost £2.40. When we questioned staff about the size of the pot, we were shown an even smaller pot, no bigger than a small milk jug. This was supposed to be a pot for one. We argued about the fact that one previous visits, out of 'holiday season', the pot size was much bigger. Staff denied this. Obviously the tearoom is 'cutting back' on portion sizes and ripping holiday makers off. Staff denied this. When we asked to see the manager, she refused to come from the kitchen area, to discuss the matter, even though we were being very reasonable about the matter.Definitely our last visit to the tearooms.

If you’re taking the boat tour on Loch Ness this is where you’ll catch it. If not, it’s still a great pit stop to shop, have a bio break, grab a cold drink (or sample some gin!) and browse the shops. Surprisingly affordable souvenirs here. Stop won’t take long unless this is also your hotel… not sure of value or pricing on those. Great views of the Loch. Be careful of the very busy highway!
