We have been twice recently with friends. Both times had a really good meal. Food cooked to perfection and portion sizes just right. If you want a plate of mediocre food, piled high and falling over the sides of it, this isn’t the place for you. If you want well sourced ingredients, superbly cooked, that pleases the palate and the eye, and leaves you feeling full but not stuffed, this is the place to try.

This pub is a new build but from the minute you walk in the ambience and welcome is everything! We ate from the set lunch menu, mussels finished with panna cotta /sticky toffee pudding, homemade bread ,French fries accompanied our mains. Food superb ,can't wait for a return visit! 😋😋

Spacious, immaculately clean room. Super comfy bed, super shower and amazing deep bath. Loved the extra touches such as homemade biscuits, coffee machine and fresh milk. We had an evening meal which was all delicious. Efficient service. Bar was pretty busy. Bustling atmosphere but quiet in the room. Breakfast was equally good with lots of choice. Highly recommended for a treat night away.

We came to the Lime Tree Inn for a night away for a Birthday/Anniversary and we had the best time. From food, to rooms to staff everything was perfect. Food was obviously to the Michelin/Rosette standard and the atmosphere was great as the local village pub. We stayed in the chestnut room with was stunning with modern and welcoming decor. The bed was massive and comfy! All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and informative and nothing was too much to ask. We recommend staying at the lime tree to anyone even considering it, so if your reading this get it booked!! One niggly bit would be to have hash browns at breakfast but that is to personal preference and the breakfast was delightful already.

My partner and I visited The Lime Tree Inn for a celebration and everything was amazing! We stayed the night and enjoyed a very well kept, clean and tidy 5-star room with a lovely en suite, but the real impression was made on us by the food and the staff. We enjoyed the tasting menu along with drinks pairings and everything was perfectly cooked, presented and tasted amazing :) they even allowed us to make alterations to the set menu due to my partners intolerance to coriander! We thought for everything we got it was very reasonably priced and generously portioned - in particular the generous drinks pairings… The overall highlight of our trip had to be the staff… Daniel behind the bar was quick with the drinks service and made really good cocktails, Amy waited on us all night and was knowledgable about the menu and always smiling (we couldn’t believe it was only her third shift there as we learnt later!) and Adam steered the whole evening perfectly! He was clearly as popular amongst his colleagues as he was with us, incredibly friendly and funny. And even though we were the last ones in the restaurant, they allowed us to stop for an extra drink at the end of the night after we finished our meal, as we weren’t quite ready for bed ! We can’t wait to visit again and are looking for any excuse to book a room and another night in the restaurant !

Fantasic lunch here today. Adam served us, and he couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. The food was amazing. We eat regularly at other local michelin restaurants, and the food today was first class. Good sized portions and not style over substance, which sometimes is the case. We also took our dog, and they have a nice dog friendly seating area. Thank you to all. We'll be back!

We stayed across 3 rooms for a business trip. All rooms were very clean apart from spiders in the bathroom of one room which were removed when we requested. Another room had no water to shower one morning of our stay, and that same room experienced major disturbances one evening when a log delivery was unloaded under the bedroom window at 10:30pm. Staff discounted our stay for the inconveniences. Rooms were beautifully furnished, spacious and well equipped. I was very happy to have a nespresso machine in my room! Dinner was lovely. Well cooked, beautiful food- slightly expensive however quality was there so not so bothered about the price. I would say it would be nice to have some more 'simple' or 'classic' dishes on the dinner menu. Breakfast was lovely and well executed. We have used this location for a business trip twice before and in those instances would award the location 5 stars. Sadly due to the issues we encountered it did impact our stay negatively but we did appreciate the staffs attempts to rectify the situation.

A truly delightful place to stay from the initial warm welcome (thank you Adam), quality rooms and delicious food. Nothing was too much trouble which we experienced throughout our one night stay. The attention to detail makes this a delightful place to stay from the quality bed linen, plentiful toiletries, shower mats if required, homemade biscuits, fresh milk available and a lift to the first floor rooms! The dinner menu is a far cry from any typical pub good and it was super tasty. Faultless and we would certainly return when the opportunity presents.

After watching the Four In A Bed tv show, we were extremely excited to experience the exceptional food and hospitality that was promised. Well it absolutely didn’t disappoint! Not only was the breakfast and dinner food utterly delectable (locally sourced and homemade by Michelin star chef and owner Rob), but the room was a delight- rivalling the high end quality of a top London hotel, at a fraction of the cost. The whole staff team were so friendly and professional in equal measure and nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed a fabulous trip to the local Dunesforde vineyard, where we had a tour, wine tasting and charcuterie board and then (slightly staggered) back the short, scenic walk to the Lime Tree. Overall I would highly recommend a stay at this gem of a place, especially if you are looking for high quality food and accommodation in a rural area. My husband and I will definitely be returning, if only for the homemade bread!

Decided to write a review because we have had Sunday lunch here several times now and it is consistently delicious. The quality of the food is noticeably very good. Vegetables are prepared with care …no horrible stalks on the cabbage and the roast potatoes always taste fresh , which must be tricky to do ! Cauliflower cheese is savoury and creamy…. The quality of the beef and chicken is the best we have had anywhere!! The gravy is drinkable!! Management and staff are friendly, attentive and not pretentious, which is perfect for a local village restaurant/pub. Also it is very refreshing to see familar staff each time we go… So must a happy place to work ! For a relatively new build…the ambience is that of a proper country pub ..but with quality decor. Fab place ….we love it !!

Lovely restaurant, felt it was either understaffed or new staff as a few things were missed and we had to go to the bar to ask for our order, also lots of opportunities missed to upsell, ie dessert/coffees. Main issue was lack of inspiring vegetarian/vegan dishes, so despite being vegetarian had to have the fish, This issue is common to most places but there are lots of lovely veggie or cheese dishes that can be made.

This was a good meal. The mackerel was absolutely exquisite. I felt that the very good monkfish could do with a squeeze of lemon. The beef starter could’ve had a bit more but was very nice. Got my beer order wrong and then charged me for an extra one, but we got that sorted.I would certainly eat here again

We stayed overnight on our way to Scotland. Lime Tree Inn is newly built on the edge of a village; a thoughtfully designed inn with comfortable bedrooms. Everyone we met was pleasant and helpful. Downstairs it feels like a good pub, but it is much more than that. We had an oustanding dinner and a beautifully cooked breakfast. There is great empahsis on top quality ingredients and homemade food including ice cream, butter, pasta, marmalade. Their homemade bread is to die for. Try the curried carrot and coconut soup, roast monkfish with Japanese pancake and buttermilk sorbet, if you can. The kitchen is immaculate. I like to think that cooking in England can be on a par with the best of rural France. Bravo!

A really lovely pub where the welcome was warm, the service excellent and the food amazing. A real mix of clients were enjoying the pub. Some just for drinks and others for the food. The restaurant area is separate from the pub if you wish, or you can eat in the main pub area. I sat in the restaurant. Seating is spacious so you do not feel too close to the neighbouring tables. There is a wonderful menu. Plenty to choose from but not too much that you think the chef is not a master of his profession. My wonderful waiter suggested a dish and it was wonderful (pork belly). Cooked to perfection and so tasty. I had a very reasonably priced bottle of wine with the meal, kept nice and cold in the wine cooler. All food is home made (from the butter to the sauces) and the quality of food shines through. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed at The lime Tree easter weekend. This is quite a new building. The rooms are modern clean and very comfortable, with everything you need. The bar area is welcoming and comfortable with a good range of premium beers and beverages. The menu was varied and interesting we both had the fillet tails with accompanying fresh veg and a very tasty sauce. As you would expect in a Michelin establishment it was cooked to perfection. The staff without exception were very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to all involved

My wife and I did a road trip from London up to the Scottish Highlands stopping at a number of places on the way and back. I guess most establishments use the professional photos taken when a place is newly opened or refurbished and so not all the places we stayed at quite met expectations. Ranging from pretty average to downright dire. Until that is we got to our last stop at The Lime Tree Inn. We had booked a one night stay with breakfast and also booked dinner. The place was clean, really clean. That’s a pretty basic expectation but sadly lacking in a lot of places. Nicely decorated and maintained There are only seven bedrooms, ours was tasteful, modern, the bed was huge, extremely comfortable with top quality linen. Dinner was superb. Presentation, taste and quality of ingredients are top notch and a testament to the skill of the owner/chef and his team. Breakfast was equally good. A great many items are made by themselves including butter, bread, marmalade, pasta…. All the staff we encountered were very helpful We will definitely use this as a base for a stay of a few days next time in order to better explore the lovely countryside. D Pavesi

Went yesterday for Sunday lunch with friends, the place was very busy and had a feeling of a shortage of staff, took a while to get a drink at the bar and our table was booked for 2pm, we then had to ask someone at 2.30 if our table was ready, a lady explained the reason for the table being late was because there are two sittings, so I suggest if you book go for 2.30. The menu is small, with a bag of bread being one of the starters, the food was ok, I've had better Sunday lunches for less money, it was expensive but like I said earlier busy, so they must be doing something right.

Had a fabulous stay for my Husband's birthday. We stayed in Lime. A lovely large room which was spotlessly clean and very well presented. We plumped for the dinner, bed and breakfast option. Dinner was fabulous and the breakfast was the best my husband has ever had. Staff were friendly and attentive and the owners took time out after a busy service to chat to guests. Can't fault this place and will definitely visit again.

Went to Yorkshire with my dad for a weekend break and decided to stay in the Lime Tree Inn after watching an episode of Four In A Bed where they featured. Stayed in the ‘Oak’ room, eating dinner and breakfast. Absolutely no criticism could be leveraged against the Lime Tree Inn, it presents fantastic value for money. The recent recognition gained in the Michelin guide is well deserved, if Rob wanted to I am sure he could go either way to attaining a star or a Bib Gourmand. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We have just stayed for 1 night at the Lime Tree Inn. The room which was The Lime was very comfortable. It was a spacious and very clean and bright. We had the evening meal and the breakfast. I have to say the food was excellent. The selection for the evening meal was varied and we both thoroughly enjoyed all the courses. A special mention though for the Rhubarb and Almond pudding. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have had. The place is also the local bar and it makes for a good atmosphere in the evening. It is situated between Harrogate and York and makes it ideal for visiting both. We will definitely be returning.

Gutted. Have heard so much about this place and the infamous KF Ceaser. To be fair. Had sausage roll also which was good. The chicken for the Ceaser was ‘wet’ and very soft/mushy, in texture and quite bland. The bread just didn’t seem too fresh. Was just cold baguette / sub. I was looking forward so much. One bite and sadly threw away.

I had the pleasure of eating here for my sister's birthday, and it was one of the best evenings of food that I have ever had. We both had been looking forward this immensely and were not disappointed. From the typically enthusiastic Yorkshire greeting from the sommelier to the actual food itself, the whole evening was one we won't forget. Despite the outstanding food and technical brilliance on show, there was also no hint of pretension which made for a relaxed and engaging evening. Well worth the trip to anyone who thinks they like food!

Wish i could leave 50 stars! Beautiful quiet and peaceful campsite with beautiful views of the countryside and surrounded by cows and sheep. Tanya is lovely to deal with and Mark who manages the site is an absolute legend. He's friendly, knows loads about the area and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great time There are only 2 loos and showers on site (both unisex) but with such a small site we didn't have to wait at any time. The showers are great, no button to keep pressing and adjustable temperature. There's a baby change unit, hairdryer and straighteners. Fridge outside with an honesty box for local produce, and a wonderful cookery equipment shop which also sells amazing cakes Bus stop not too far away and absolutely loads to see and do in the area 100% going to be returning
