The food was absolutely delicious ordered as requested highly recommended

Missing a sausage from the medium breakfast (should have 2 only received 1) asked for the fried eggs to be well done turned up runny which being pregnant shouldn't really have. Everything else seems to be oky.

Only ordered a white coffee with sugar and a milkshake, for takeaway, took over 25 mins to receive both items! They were quick enough to take my money, left myself, another guy, who was waiting for 3 cold pie & mash to take away, and a Just Eat (or similar) just waiting. The wait felt so long that we all discussed how slow the service was. During our wait a young female poked her head out through the hatch and just said "what are you all waiting for!" Once I'd received my order, I walked off, they hadn't even put the sugar in my coffee as per my order. It's such a shame, this place could be amazing, but I won't be going back, especially at their prices too!

I have been coming to Lillies for over 2 years summer/winter with friends and eating in a pod. The food variety and quality is excellent. It is great value for money. Also all the staff are so friendly we are on first name terms, nothing is too much trouble for them, that is why we come here every week and some weeks twice. I would recommend Lillies to anybody who wants good food friendly staff and in these days value for money. Richard Smith

Ordered food and when the courier arrived he delivered the wrong food, so I did the right thing and hand it back to him as someone would be waiting for their food and called the restaurant to explain what happened. At that point I was told mine would be delivered next and it never turned up at all if they had no intention of delivering my order then they should have just said but instead they say it’s coming and nothing arrives. Now I have to try and get a refund somehow but that can take days.

This place is fantastic. I come pretty much every week with my mum for breakfast and we love it. The service is second to none and this is mainly why we come. The ladies who usually serve us on a Saturday are always so friendly and the food is great too! I was shocked to read a negative review about Lillies recently which I think isn’t a true reflection of how hard they work here to deliver a great service experience. I have recommended it to so many people. Well done and keep up the good work.

Been to Lillies a few times food good varied menu, staff friendly, we ate in one of the pods, it's a cafe we were satisfied with our meals.

Attempted to book a table was told they was booked even though there was lots of empty tables would not go there again avoid I'm not the only person this has happened to

Tried the pie and mash has I had not had it for ages and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was pretty average, pie was a real let down and overall the meal was quiet tasteless. I also tried a piece of bread pudding which was not much better...

Was seated inside straight away, the first thing that struck me was the noise. The radio was deafening, & it was really echoey, much too loud for me! It seems it was too much for the table next to me too. The food wasn’t great either. Scrambled egg was rubbery, mushrooms were overcooked. Wouldn’t come here again, very overrated in my opinion.

Ordered Pie and mash only to be told they are out of stock, so decided to have fish and chips, guess what NO FISH, so I didn’t bother. Another gust on our table ordered Ham egg and chips, NO HAM Piss up and brewery spring to mind. DEFINITELY won’t be back

Been here a few times and always have a lovely time! Once I came for my birthday and they had decorated the pod which was lovely! They staff are friendly and the food is delicious- highly recommend

The food is good, I tend to stick to a breakfast. But other meals are available. Fresh bloomer bread is served with butter (or something very close). My grandson had a cheese burger, the burger was fat and juicy. My granddaughter had chilli con carni which she tucked into. We ate inside but they do have outside booths that were tempting in this weather. We'll definitely go back again

Came for lunch, we’ve been a few times before - food is always good. But today service was lacking - seems like it’s not just us that feel this way. Took over 10 minutes to come take our order and the same for the bill. Had to ask to pay in the end, after we’d been sitting there with plates stacked up. Shame as the service lets it down when staff are standing round chatting when you’re clearing waiting for someone to come over

Awful place with awful service. Staff immediately had an issue when I asked to be specific with my order due to dietary requirements. The heavy set ladies attitude was outrageous absolutely should not be working front of house as it boarded on aggressive and specifically focused on me no matter how polite I kept being despite the awful service. Such an absolute shame as the little pods outside looked lovely although over half empty we were refused on arrival apparently due to bookings which never actually turned up the whole of our time there. The food was poor at best and service worst I would avoid and never recommend to anyone. The table next to ours egg Florentine looked well as a positive.

Nice food and good portion sizes. Service a bit slow but polite enough. Outside pods a great asset especially in the colder months

Good food at a good price with excellent service.

We waited 2 hours for the food and it did not arrive, we rang them after an hour and they said it will be with us within 20minutes. It then went on to another 45minutes, to which they replied saying the order is not with them. There was no apologies for their discrepancies, let alone customer service etiquettes. I hope they are able to change this!

Only received 1 milkshake and a kinda milkshake instead of à chocolate missing banana

cancelling an order after it's delivery due time is unacceptable. order included kids meals, have just returned from holiday after an early flight and now my kids have to wait even longer to be fed. furious

Ordered at 9:22am..time kept being moved..finally got delivered over an hour later..thought food was hot..chips were..paninis were cold. Clearly stated on receipt not to cook hot food until driver was assigned. Didn’t enjoy it at all. Avoid

Booked one of the pods, just the two of us & on arrival was greeted & taken to pod. Food was cooked lovely & good quality too, lovely service by ladies & can’t fault nothing. Will definitely be returning again.

Maybe an off day as I’ve been here quire a few times and enjoyed it but what we got served on this visit was extremely poor. Might have been the fact we ordered the breakfast late morning and it had all been cooked hours before. The poached eggs were like rubber, the sausages , tomatoes ,hash brown and chips were cold, the bacon was solid and cold. The only thing that was hot were the beans. The mushrooms looked they had been boiled in water out of a tin and also cold and to top it off they ran out of fresh bread and gave us a toasted panini with no apology or give us an alternative of choosing something else. Well disappointed and well below the standard we were expecting.

Great place for Sunday breakfast!!

We are frequent customers at Lillies café. The food is fresh and wholesome and the staff are extremely kind, considerate and accommodating working hard to make sure diners are satisfied. There is a good choice of dishes on the menu and everything is reasonably priced.

We had a spontaneous trip out with friends when we stumbled across this little cafe and I'm glad we did it was lovely. I ordered a plough man's lunch which unfortunately came as a cheese salad but it was tasty all the same. The staff are very friendly, we didn't book but we were given a lovely little pod that seated us easily, there was a blanket if there was a chill. All in all well worth another visit

We came across this little cafe on a trip out with friends and I'm glad we did it was lovely. The staff were friendly and could have banter. I ordered a cheese plough man's, but unfortunately it was more like a salad which was a shame, but it was very tasty, definitely worth another visit. We didn't book but we had a little pod which seated us with ease, very pleasant.

Service was ok although bits missing of breakfasts, some bits overcooked (Sausage) some undercooked (Bacon) although decent quality. Have heard good things about Lilies so may be a one off but given other options wouldn't return.

Good home cooked food. Ordering on the app saves you 20% which makes it an incredible bargain for such nice food. Highly recommend the jackets, full English, in fact everything i have had has been lovely. The outside pods are dog friendly and they have heating so super cosy. I love going to this place

What more can you ask from a café. Popped in with my wife and had a private pod. It was a frosty day but lovely and warm in the pod. It felt like private dining too being just us and no other noise around. Brilliant food and service. Definitely one to go back to.

Lovely safe environment. Sat in our own pod, and got served at our table. Each pod has a heater, so sitting outside was very pleasant

Unreal place for breakfast, great food, excellent service and very reasonably priced. The pods are a really good little novelty as well.

We had a takeaway. Nice sausage sandwich. Coffee not so nice. No brown sugar either.

went to the Santa brek this morn with 2 of my nurse friends and our children, it was fabulous, the Santa was so friendly and really spent time with us in our pod, the value for money is excellent and the kids got a brek and a present included for only £10 , such good work lillies cafe THANK YOU ALL

I had higher expectations for the food

First time going today, and myself, family members really enjoyed it! We had English breakfast and pancakes which was really good! The ladies serving were so friendly, polite and welcoming! The food was delicious, great portion sizes and great prices!….we will be coming back! You can walk in or you can book a pod if you would like too. 100% recommend and will be returning

Lillies is the best place in the area to go for food that’s good value, good portions and well cooked . The staff are so friendly & helpful nothing is too much trouble . The pods are amazing nice and warm in the winter & perfect for small gatherings I cannot recommend lillies highly enough my favourite place by far .

This place is just amazing helpful and friendly staff. Food is delicious and lots of it. The whole cafe and staff are very accommodating as we work with learning disabilities and the guys just love coming here.also we’ve booked for Santa breakfast and we can’t wait to enjoy our day here merry Christmas everyone..

Very friendly and helpful staff. The outside pods look great, however, there are virtually no vegan options. You can have a bowl of chips or jacket with beans, but it's always disappointing when a place seems unaware that vegans exist, or they just don't cater for them.

Absolute shambles! Food took over 2 hours to receive. We was lied to twice that it had already left. We understand if the cafes busy but just say that don’t tell us the food is already out for delivery! We then got a phone call from the driver saying that she won’t bring our food to the door??? I Had to walk out in the rain in my dressing gown to meet her at her car even after being charged £4.50 for delivery!!! Joke Parts of the food was ok. The steak and mushroom baguette was a joke. not worth the wait or price.

Booked Lillies for a friends Birthday Lunch and so we booked a pod! The pods are heated so although it was cold outside we were warm and cosy. Ordered the Turkey Roast Dinner and it was really lovely, so much food on the plate and such value for money. Staff were so friendly, they noticed the presents and card for our friend and all were wishing her Happy Birthday, they were so welcoming and couldn't recommend this lovely little find more. Be warned! the menu is vast and it's so hard to decide what to choose as everything is amazing. Well done to all the staff at Lillies, I will definitely be returning soon. Thank you :-)

Great little cafe, food fresh, yummy and plentiful. I had a v large jacket potato and a mountain of prawns, coleslaw and salad 👍🏼 Staff friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back already.

This is a great find. First visit and won't be our last. Hot coffee, lovely bacon and egg sandwich and they even cater for dogs with a cooked sausage and bowl of water. Lovely dining pods with heaters. We will definitely be back. PS. Best advise is to book as very busy.

Went to Lillies cafe for first time today at lunchtime, we had booked a pod with our neighbours, quite frankly the whole experience was a disaster and definitely wouldn’t recommend or go there again. The fish and chips my husband had should never have left the kitchen, probably rejected by another customer and then reserved.Absolutely disgusting and no way was it cod as we had been told. My pie and mash was served 20 minutes after everyone else had their meal and mine was just warm, obviously been left and forgotten about. And finally had to go into the cafe and ask for our cutlery. Staff not very enthusiastic and sauce bottles were dirty the whole experience was not pleasant. A complete and utter waste of money. Had my husband and I been without company we would have complained immediately. Lillies. Cafe really need to up their game in all areas of hospitality.

Great service and fantastic food with a warm friendly welcome, we have fussy eating kids who are hard to feed at home and both loved it here, they want to eat here everyday now

Lillies cafe is one of the few cafe's, which have amazingly delicious food around Wickford and all of the staff are very friendly and will help you with anything. I even noticed the two drivers, of whom were also very lovely. An altogether great culinary experience and would defintely recommend! thank you everyone at Lillies!

Lillies Cafe is great. A great choice of food, great food, great service and friendly staff and the pods are brilliant. I’ve never had a bad experience there.

Was looking forward to going here having booked and been recommended. Sadly, we waited 45 minutes for our food and it was cold on arrival. Clearly a staff shortage but if thats the case why were they still taking 'walk ins' at the door. Maybe we were unlucky but every booth had mega delays and people were complaining justifiably so. Doubt I will return. Always a shame when a first visit goes wrong.

Great value cafe. Loved the little pods and the main cafe nice too. Service was great and the food really good. A really unexpected find.
