Dream Cafe & Restaurant in Basildon

Sausage could be better, seemed like cheap things, was nothing special for the price. Didn't even have crusty bread.

I have always enjoyed their services and food until today which has nothing to do with their food. My client ordered his meal but I informed the waiter I wanted nothing but Just lemon in hot water which I take sometimes when I am having nothing in cafes or restaurant without any fee. This was not the case with dreams. My client paid for his meal and as we were about to leave , a staff walked up to me that I had not paid for my drink. I told him I had never paid for it in other cafes/ restaurant and pressured it was the same here. I also questioned the charges for the hot water and 2 tiny slices of lemon,the staff answered "its not free" I said it was fine and paid. I stepped out and told myself that was the last time I was going to patronise them.

Great little greasy spoon. Service is fantastic, always welcomed with a smile and the food is fantastic value for money always enjoy the dream cafe

Just dreadful. I cannot say more without being as furious as I was when the price of 1 bacon sandwich rose by £3.00 just for one additional rasher of bacon. Disgusting. Never again

The staff are so helpful. Food is lovely and reasonably priced. Good accesses for disabled. Customer toilet. Highchairs available for children.

Nice cafe for a breakfast/lunch. Really friendly staff, good choice of food on their menu. This time I tried Chicken and Bacon wrap with garnish which was tasty .

Very friendly and helpful service

All day breakfast was nice. We sat outside . The staff were friendly and price was reasonable. Food was hot toast slightly burned but they replaced it. Parking was at the back of the precinct. Had to walk around.

Rude girl staff after finding a hair in my food disgusting..at it was near the end of eating it , so was told why should i not pay when i had eaten most it ..i can assure i would no way have eaten a meal with hair in 🤢had i have seen it at the start an apology would have been nice..

Had a breakfast. Had 2 bacon,egg,sausage,bubble and squeak, beans ,2 toast, and a coffee. My partner had the same as me. Was very good food . We both enjoyed our food

Visited here today with my daughter for a breakfast each which is £6.50 each which includes tea or coffee. I don’t drink milk and had no dairy free alternatives so I had to have a Diet Coke and my daughter a hot chocolate. In total it come to £17 as I had to buy the hot chocolate and Diet Coke on top. After telling them that’s to expensive and surly the drinks should be included or pay a little change extra. Even though they don’t provide dairy free option. Totally disgusting and very crafty paying at the end, if I would have known before it would cost this much I would have gone elsewhere which would probably have a dairy free option. Will never be back again

Really friendly welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere and great food. Anything from steak to a bacon butty and a good kids menu as well. Nice and clean and a good selection of drinks

How do You Enjoy your Chips? Mine, I love it with hot sauce.😋 So from time to time yes, I do like to enjoy some chips. And why not at the Dream Cafe & restaurant. I do enjoy their breakfast. The service is quite quick and easy. They cook my Bacon just how I like Good food and decent portions. I like the white bread toast. Good smooth drinks. There is a kids' menu. The waiters are attentive and helpful. The clean is nice although there's still a space for improvement. The price is reasonable. The opening time is from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. I would indubitably recommend Dream Cafe & Restaurant.

The food is lovely and reasonably priced too..... Downside for me was the state of the highchairs in there, the straps were disgusting and the whole thing could have done with a good wipe over

Only had a cappuccino and toast. Shame they buttered (margarine) my toast without checking. I prefer my toast cold before I butter (margarine) Cappuccino was nice though.

Can't fault this place my family and I always pop in here when we go to basildon town. The food is always lovely and big portions too well worth the money and what u get for your money is really good, they have good deals on their breakfasts and they are quite cheap compared to other cafes. The milkshakes are especially nice I recommend them.

Went with daughter and 4 kids, so not quietest bunch. But the staff were helpful, food came quickly and was lovely. Not expensive either. Would def reccomend. Lost star as there toilets were not the greatest. Not very clean and needs updating.

Dream Cafe has lovely good. Plenty of choices & a good range of certain meals, drinks & desserts. Have been coming here all my life and will always continue too. Clean, tidy & safe to be in. Great work to the chefs & waiters who work hard all day, everyday.

Dream Cafe is the best eating place ever, large meals, fresh vegetables and beautiful meats. The Cafe is very clean and the prices are fantastic.

I discovered this cafe in Basildon quite recently and was pleasantly surprised by its atmosphere, reasonable food prices and pleasant staff. They do a very good value Breakfast Special at under £5, including two rounds of buttered toast and tea, or coffee. What's not to like? I will definitely be back when next in Basildon.

Dream Caf'e...Good Venue for Good Food at Reasonable prices. Very Cean, Mostly Friendly Staff, That are Helpful. Home Made Pie is Really Quiet Good Quality, Veg appear to in the whole Fresh and Good Portions Size. Wheelchair Access is Good, Toilets are Accessible. Would Recommend.

Bacon and Egg Baguette, egg over cooked. Pie and Mash ,mash was tasteless more like instant mash. Will not be going back sorry.
