We popped in for nostalgia sake. My great grandparents ran The Crown from 1901, I've worked there, my Nan worked there too. Sad to say service was shoddy. No welcome, we had to ask about ordering some nibbles, misunderstandings/miss heard and no paper receipt. This all meant we missed 3 of our orders. Expensive too. Resolved with a free drink after complaining.

Went to Laindon Hills to celebrate my parents 56th wedding anniversary with the family. We had a wonderful server called Emma who was friendly, really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Made our experience really lovely . Food was great too. Ordered from the fixed menu and have to say was really good value for money

Celebrated my 26th birthday and had a wonderful evening, we had a fantastic server Keith! He was so helpful with suggestions and recommendations and made the whole experience very fun and enjoyable! The food was fantastic and everything was very decent in price!

Second time at this miller and carter and this time was definitely the best. Food was amazing service was even better Jola looked after us so well, and even brought us over a free congratulations pudding as we are celebrating getting married in vegas next weekend, so was on our last date night before we’re married. Thank you, will defiantly come again.

Turned up early evening on a Wednesday to an quiet restaurant and asked the Host if were ok for a drink and a table a bit later. He then gave the most condescending look asking if we had booked and then after checking sniffed that it should be ok. I understand it gets busy later but this was 5 o’clock on a Wednesday. Just had a couple of drinks and left. We weren’t poorly dressed or drunk or loud his attitude was just rude and not welcoming in any way.

Our favourite place to eat, the food is amazing the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, the staff is always friendly, We been served by Alison she is such a nice and friendly person always with smile , thank you

Haven't been Miller and Carter in years last time I went it was at the lakeside one 10 years ago. Went for the lunch set meal. Had the mushroom starters what was okay nothing special. Had the fillet steak sandwich for main. Asked for rare. Sandwich come with steak well done. I pointed it out to our server she took the sandwich returned with a fresh one what the steak was also overcooked I said to her again she just apologised and offered again to send it back. Didn't want to send it back as didn't wanna wait again. Bread was soggy needed toasting more. Fries were dry and tough 2 other people on my table also agreed that had them. They took 20 off the bill. I will not be returning here. Don't understand how a steak place can mess up a steak twice.

Was second time we visited them and was our pleasure. Cosy atmosphere, high quality ingredients and amazing Shelley which went extra mile by turning mine birthday celebration dinner into an unforgettable evening.
