First class - in every way. Attentive, smiling and well-trained staff. Truly delicious food. We were delighted to be able to thank the Chef personally after the dinner. Wow! A very special evening. Six friends - who had a wonderful evening at a splendid restaurant.

This place is awful. Terrible greeting on arrival. We didn’t end up staying and stayed somewhere else.i wouldn’t recommend this place due to the arrogance of the staff and their unwillingness to provide anything close to hospitality.

We visited The Lighthouse restaurant in Wimbledon for an early dinner with Set menu option. The decor of the restaurant is simple with peaceful setting. The food was delicious, well decorated and tasty. The wine list here is exhaustive with excellent selections available.

We use the Lighthouse regularly. However things seem to have slipped a bit. The food was OK without being memorable. The people serving were pleasant however you got the feeling that there was noone in charge, and we had to hail the staff for service except at the start.

We live locally and have been visiting the Lighthouse for over 20 years, we have always rated it very highly however standards appear to have slipped. Firstly we were not given the wonderful home made breads with dipping oils, these are now chargeable. The menu was as varied and interesting as ever and I ordered the venison which was excellent however the vegetables were lukewarm. The chocolate bread and butter pudding would have been a triumph had it not been cold in the middle. I sent it back and it was returned only slightly warmer. Lastly a waitress brought 2 glasses of red wine to our table which were not ordered by us (we already had a bottle). When the bill came we had been charged for them. The charge was removed after we queried it but no apology was made.

We had the fish platter one of the best plates of food, and I have been in this business over 40 years. Cod was wonderful prawns fabulous.

We visited for lunch and ordered from the fixed price menu. The food was tasty but the choices very limited - two starters and two mains to choose from and no vegetarian option. At just under £30 it was nevertheless very good value.

My experience at Light House was delightful! I went there with my best friend and we had a blast. The food was delicious, and the restaurant's wine list was truly good. The friendly and attentive staff made the visit even more enjoyable. Karmena was our waitress and she was very sweet and kind. Lovely peaceful ambience, Light House is a must-visit for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed our visit here with friends. Loved the feta and Mediterranean vegetables salad, I wasn’t sure it would be a salad from the menu description but glad that it was, perfectly dressed and tasty. We all enjoyed the seared tuna tartare although I thought the garnish was limp and overdressed but the others loved it. Cheese board was good. Fudge and truffles were so tasty we ordered a second round ;-) Cod was cooked perfectly and gone in a minute! We will be back!

Visited for breakfast. As soon as we walked in there was a lack of good vibes - they were playing a radio station with noisy commercial adverts, we didn’t get a friendly reception, and there were dirty plates on empty tables for the majority of our visit. The presentation of the eggs on toast was underwhelming and both portions of poached eggs ordered were undercooked with raw egg in the middle. Unfortunately it was a real let down and not a good advertisement for their evening food which looked nice online. The toilet area didn’t feel very clean/fragrant either. Wouldn’t recommend this for brunch/breakfast at all sadly, especially when they add a 13.5% service charge on top.

Been here a few times, food is always excellent. The only thing I think they need to improve on is the lack of quality non alcoholic wines and beers , there are plenty of really high quality non. Alcoholic wines that exist now and it is frustrating to be limited to water , coke or mocktails

Visited here with family for a late Saturday lunch. The set menu was a very reasonable price and had a wonderful feta, almond and rocket salad to start and one of the best pork belly dishes I have ever tasted. Service was excellent and the light open, contemporary decor added to a wonderful meal. Highly recommended.

This is a superb venue for lunch. Good value, especially the set menu, and freshly cooked ingredients displaying imagination and much competence. The calf’s liver (I have had it twice recently) is outstanding. It’s a hidden (not on High St) gem.

My girlfriend and I decided to go here for Valentine's night. We ended up with 21:00 booking. The aniseed focaccia came out, and all we got were the crusts. It was our mistake that we didn't realise it was set menu only and it'd be £65 per person - but we couldn't believe this was true! Their lunch set menu for 3 courses and a glass of champers was £35, we were getting the same for £65 . Their usual evening set menus are £30-£35. As we left, each course added together would come to £45. Anyway, we got over the price even though we felt we were being ripped off, we thought the food would make up for it. It was okay at best. Bland duck rolls; hardly any mozzarella with my beetroot The Main courses were better - but not worth the £30 we were being charged for the course. Creme brulee with a layer of what can only be described as lead on top. Probably thick enough to stop the radiation from chenoble meltdown. We were in and out in 1hr15mins. We didn't get the experience we were hoping for, especially not when we felt exploited by the price.

An excellent venue. Although parking is difficult in Wimbledon there were lots of empty bays. The restaurant is well decorated and makes your dining experience as not bold or boring. The staff were delightful, attentive but not in your face. And then the food! Absolutely stunning. The Tuna was probably the best we’ve had and the cod was just perfect. The client who we took to the restaurant lives in the village and it was his first time there, I suspect not the last!

What a lovely restaurant. Three of the best courses of food I have had for a long time. Superb seared tuna, fab cod and chorizo and a stunning hot chocolate mousse to finish. All four of us loves the food, ambience and service. Just wish I didn’t live 60 miles away!

Excellent Saturday lunch. Crispy duck leg on a fresh salad as a starter and steamed cooked hake for the main. Great experience, tasty and cooked to perfection. Very attentive service. Highly recommended

We have dined here many times, sometimes it’s been hit and miss but on the whole pretty good. Unfortunately our last lunch was poor. Beef was so chewy it was not good also the cabbage was cold and under cooked. My meal was changed to pork ( that was okay but sweet potato mash swamped in gravy was awful and served again with cold under cooked greens) yuk! My husband had fish which he said was okay as were the mussels he started with but the vegetables etc were not good. To be fair they didn’t charge us for my meal, but this used to be a lovely welcoming restaurant with good food. Has it changed hands I wonder? Definitely won’t be returning.

Very buzzy on a Saturday night. Good selection of all courses. Really enjoyed the mussels with green Thai sauce/broth as a starter. The aubergine parcel also well received by two of us. Good wine selection and the service was friendly and efficient. Not been for years but will try again soon.

Haven’t been for a while and I’m so sorry we’ve neglected this really lovely restaurant.There is a very deft touch with the seasoning ,flavours and there is always a lovely little twist to the foodEven the bread served with oil while you view the menu is fabulous There is a very good wine list with well picked wines of a high standard There was even a little issue with our desert which was handled beautifully by the waiting staff( they’d run out of gas for the caramelising of the top of the brûlée)We has a stunning hot chocolate mouse and equally beautiful desert wine We have been here a few times and it is always excellent

A Thursday evening, just into the New Year and we were invited out to celebrate the arrival of 2020. There was the 'a la carte' with a range of prices but we all opted for a very generous fixed price menu [£30] Generous in that it was really easy to find a starter, main and dessert to our tastes--and, you got a complimentary glass of f i z z . Two of us went for the goats cheese and beetroot starter; two for the rustic gravadlax with poached egg. I like to choose things that I rarely cook myself so chose the calves liver with french fries as my main and the smiling chef complied with my request to have it slightly rare; our two hosts chose the white pork, and the baked cod. We finished with panna cotta, apple strudel, and chocolate torte...The professionalism of the friendly staff was much in evidence and if eating in this style is a foretaste of 2020---- bring it on!!

The 3-course lunch and atmosphere were perfect! The service was smooth with friendly and professional staff. The restaurant has their proposition down to a tea! We had the set menu with fantastic options, a taste sensation and beautifully presented. A well deserved 5*, highly recommend!

Vivimos localmente y hemos estado viniendo aquí durante casi 20 años, nunca nos ha decepcionado. La lista de vinos es excelente. Diría que es, sin duda, el mejor restaurante de Wimbledon. We have been going to the lighthouse many years now and it always delivers. A real asset to Wimbledon which is very hand as a local inviting outsiders! Food always fresh and tasty and the service fantastic.

Esta fue mi primera visita al faro. La decoración del restaurante es agradable y la bienvenida fue amable. Elegí la sopa que estaba deliciosa y se calentaba en un frío día de invierno. Como plato principal, opté por la merluza que se servía con verduras y patatas verdes. La merluza sabía fresca y estaba cocinada a la perfección, pero las papas habían sido cocinadas y recalentadas. Ordering the drinks was not straight forward as the staff member didn’t know if they had ‘light’ tonic for my G&T & brought the full sugar version. Starters were lovely. My fellow diners mains were nice. My guinea fowl, which the waitress called chicken, was very over cooked. Our vegetable sides didn’t appear with the mains so were cancelled. Puds good. The staff were very pleasant & helpful but the food let the place down.

This is a safe local restaurant to meet friends for a casual lunch or dinner. Service is friendly though on this occasion a tad slow possibly due to the presence of one very large post Wimbledon table. Food was varied and tasty, but choices perhaps a little limited and a huge variation in portion sizes was also odd. Would benefit from having an imaginative and changing specials menu to supplement the limited regulars and offer some more variety.

This restaurant is ok. All perfectly acceptable, just not the fine dining experience one would expect. I suspect, it used to be of a higher calibre, but has stood still while the rest of the world has moved on. The bread was ok, but certainly not artisanal. Starter of pâté was ok, but not sure it was homemade (equal to something from the supermarket). The Pork Milanese was quite nice, and an unusual item to see on the menu. The blueberry cheesecake was more like a flan, and not particularly flavoursome. Service was poor - inattentive, dishes plonked down without care, that sort of thing. Good value for the location, though a decent pub meal would be on a par and cheaper still. Portions are large. Decent wine list, with plenty by the glass.

Good, well cooked food for reasonable prices. A varied wine selection that will suit different budgets, and friendly and attentive service. Well worth a return visit!

The Light House never disappoints. Always excellent service and a fresh and innovative menu in comfortable surroundings. Definitely our favourite restaurant in Wimbledon.

3 courses for £27.50 is good value. We eventually got there today, not knowing that the London bike ride caused major roads to be blocked off, The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 12.30 but more customers arrived later. We had a table by the window which we wanted as the place can get noisy when full.My chicken liver pate with chutney was tasty though my wife felt her gazpacho had raw vegetables in it and was not realistic. Likewise my main course of spinach tortellini was nice though the cod served to my wife lacked seasoning. We both enjoyed our desserts. We like the raspberry bellini. So we came away with mixed feelings. The restaurant once had a fresh, modern look. Perhaps the time is ripe for a refresh?

Overall, this was such a disappointment. The starters were ok, we had the pate and the goats cheese salad but the mains were unattractive to look at and the flavours were all over the place. We had the veal and the cod - didn’t enjoy the mains at all and left most of it. The veal was fatty and came with spaghetti bolognese when it really just needed to come with salad as it was so rich. The cod came with some overly powerful aubergine and rice and spinach. For the price you expect fine dining but it was just sloppy. The staff are lovely so it was a shame that the food is such a let down. We’re local but unfortunately we won’t be coming back.

We had a great meal with our 18 year old granddaughter at the Light House on her first visit to England. She and my husband had the pork belly and loved it. I had the fish special of the day, and I was a little disappointed that it didn't have a lot of flavor, but still it was good. Our appetizer was fresh asparagus with poached egg and hollandaise. A real winner for all of us! And the desserts were sublime: Eton Mess, Rhubarb tart, and chocolat fondant. The waiter suggested an excellent wine that went well with all of our main courses. A great night out that didn't break the bank!

I have been eating amazing dinner's at The Lighthouse for as long as I can remember. My parents would always take the family there and even 15+ years ago the food was phenomenal. I now visit this restaurant on occasion with my hubby to be and we always leave with smiles on our faces after the incredible food they prepare and serve. The ever changing, international menu offers great choice with amazing seasonal dishes full of flavour and presented impeccably. I love how you can see the chefs cooking (depending on where you sit) and the baskets of fresh fruit and vegetables that always look the best of the bunch. I had fish dishes for both my courses and they were delicious. Each visit brings us new realms of taste sensations and we cannot wait to be back again, and hopefully very soon.

I have not been to Light House for ages but my last visit did not dissapoint, i had Tuna and a salmon curry to die for. Good wine list and friendly staff. Still the best place to eat in wimbledon. My friend has to eat gluten free, she was raving about the food as most of the main couses were suitable for her.

Aunque el restaurante estaba muy ocupado, siendo el día del padre, tuvimos un gran almuerzo aquí con un par de invitados. Las cuatro comidas fueron excelentes, ordenadas desde el menú fijo (@ 30) con cuatro o más opciones por curso. Nuestra camarera trabajó muy duro y era amable y servicial. La comida llegó rápidamente y estaba deliciosa. Elegimos el bacalao tempura y el pate con chutney de los entrantes, Roast Beef, Hake con salsa de mantequilla y Roast Pork de los platos principales, Eton Mess, Chocolate Cake. . . todos los cuales eran porciones generosas y bien cocidas. Mi carne asada era de costilla, y se cocinó a pedido, y realmente lo disfruté. Los roasties eran fabulosos. Con dos botellas de vino, nuestra comida para cuatro llegó a 185, de las cuales 20 eran el cargo por servicio. Estaremos encantados de volver en otro momento, es cómodo, con un ambiente agradable y, por lo general, puede encontrar un espacio para estacionar. He anotado 4/5 para la comida porque nuestro eton mess carecía del componente más importante, ¡el merengue! Grandes fresas, sin embargo.

Reservé un almuerzo para el día del padre después de haber estado aquí innumerables veces durante los años.El servicio fue más lento de lo esperado, tuvo que pedir mostaza a diferentes servidores más de una vez, servidores diferentes en todo, no uno o dos asignados a mesas específicas, la música era demasiado alta, la factura estaba mal y tenía que enviarla de vuelta.Quiero decir que estaba ocupado, sin duda el negocio local lo mantiene en marcha, pero definitivamente no cumple con el estándar que recuerdo, lo que para mí es una verdadera lástima.

We decided to go to Wimbledon at the last minute and none of the good restaurants were available,this was...and it is clear why. Food was absolutely mediocre, both quality and offer, service quite miserable. Go there if you really don’t have an alternative.

I was party to a birthday meal and although the room was great for ambience that is where the positives stop. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our 1st course in which time we were offered very dry and somewhat very stale bread. My starter included a poached egg which was very undrcooked - snotty some would say. My table also had the pate which appeared to be stale in colour - brown. Main course choice was poor and again had to wait a long time for them to be served which made those not having a 1st course having to wait a long time. My wife and son had the lamb which was poorly cooked and served with little caramelisation browning and served with a wishy washy thin sauce. My pork chop was very thin and not a dinner menu item. I fortunately ordered a side dish whereas others were not advised to do so by the server. All mains were served in what appeared as being pasta bowls - not conducive for cutting food in and appeared to make the portion sizes look larger than they actually were.Desserts followed at the same time spacing and weRE odd and confusing. Although my panna cotta was of a good consistency the accompaniment did not match the dessert menu description. The hot mousse was most odd as not being airy and being a poor excuse for a fondant. Finally the frangipane tart did not have a tart base and was cut from what appeared to be a cake slab when I walked past the kitchen area en route to the toilets. Here in the kitchen was the real shocker with staff either being filthy in appearance or not wearing correct kitchen attire - no hats or aprons.This is my 2nd time of coming to this restaurant and hopefully my last. The front of house staff were generally pleasant but one looked bloody miserable all evening and another could not stop talking to us and interrupted our evening. Finally, the supervisor had a pencil behind his ear as if in a builders yard which was not very professional

We had a really great meal here - the food has always been very good over a sustained period of time. I think it’s the best restaurant in Wimbledon from that perspective, notwithstanding the Ivy etc. The Tandoori lamb was great, as per the sea bass with scallops. Roast beef always good. Wine list nice - would be appreciated if they could expand a bit the offering of half bottles, as particularly at lunch those are great. The service was ok, but not brilliant. We had to ask for things 2-3 times. At one point I just went and got something off the waitress stand myself as I was fed up of waiting. It’s not like it was anything peculiar either. They just weren’t paying attention and don’t scan the restaurant constantly- as any decent service staff should - to see if anyone needs anything.

Visitamos a un grupo de 9 personas y nos sentamos en el comedor "privado" con vista directa a la cocina. El primer plato de atún era excelente al igual que la sopa de cebolla francesa. Teníamos platos principales de hígado de terneros, cordero tandoori (¿podría haber sido más picante?) Y la lubina era muy buena, aunque no venía con verduras. Quesos y galletas, chocolate bombe y vino tinto también fueron muy buenos. En general, una comida muy decente.

I'd forgotten how delicious and perfectly cooked the food is at this Wimbledon fine restaurant. I had the tuna starter with wasabi, which comes complete with chopsticks and the lamb mains - melt in the mouth perfection! Friends and husband had the sea bass and calves liver and thoroughly enjoyed it. All served by helpful, attentive servers and a charming maitre'd/managerHugo. The fact that it was packed, albeit on a Friday evening, and has withstood the competition of The Ivy and The White Onion openings in the ladt few years, is testomy to the enduring high quality of food and great atmosphere.

Popped in for a birthday lunch on a very wet day. What an absolute delight, the food was great, the service very friendly and knowledgeable. I thought the lunchtime set menu was really good value with a fabulous choice of dishes.

We had a meal for our wedding anniversary at The Light House last night, the first time we had been there. The food was excellent (much better than average) as was the wine. Service was personal, attentive but also professional and relaxed. Bread and oil of excellent quality. Nice ambiance, not quirky or trying too hard. Just professional. After the meal my wife became suddenly ill from a leg cramp which caused significant distress and the staff were all incredibly helpful. We could not rate this place more highly and will go back!

This is my ultimate lunch place in the area. Food is lovely, staff attentive, atmosphere relax-what’s not to like? They have theme night during the week-we are going to Jazz Night dinner tomorrow:)

Hubby and I took my Mum and we had a wonderful meal. They had scallops to start and I had the red thai mussels. Hubby had onglet, Mum had sole and I had lamb. All delicious. Hubby and Mum had chocolate marquise. Plus a bottle of white and 2 glasses red it came to £165 all in. Really great quality. Packed (Friday night). We have been coming here since it first opened and it is a great local restaurant.

It had been some years since we had been to the Light House, but the standard has not fallen. Good wait staff, good food, and atmosphere. We had the set menu for the evening which had a Jazz band. The restaurant was full. Onion soup, steak, and lemon tart were all great. This is a good local restaurant with a decent wine list. Highly recommend for couples.

Had my brothers wedding dinner here . I brought along my two young sons 7-8 . While the adults ate the staff were vary accommodating with the kids sat and drew and entertained them. Food was superb no complaints at all . Would recommend to everyone.

Sunday lunch in The Light House proved to be an exceptional pleasure. A light, bright contemporary environment with comfortably spaced tables. Two courses for just over £20. Two courses of exceptional quality. I ate a gorgeous seafood paella starter followed by a traditional roast beef platter, perfectly pink with a huge Yorkshire pudding, rich gravy and crisp broccoli. My wife ordered seared tuna followed by spinach and ricotta tortellini. No rush, a leisurely coffee wrapped the experience up. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive.

I have mixed views about this restaurant. With regard to the food, it depends on what you choose. I had seafood risotto followed by salmon in a green Thai curry. I was disappointed with the risotto - too liquid, needing a bit more flavour, and a problem with broken bits of shell. The curry was very tasty, with a well-cooked fillet of salmon. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her food.The service was very good, friendly and speedy. I liked the fact that there was an open kitchen.Cost - not cheap but not over expensive.What I did not like about the restaurant was the level of noise, probably down to two factors - restaurant design and Saturday night groups. Might be quieter midweek.

We, and two dear friends, have just had the most delicious lunch at this Wimbledon restaurant. We all stayed on the 'menu' - three of us on the 3 course (£20.50) and one on the 2 course (£16.50).Best mushroom soup ever for one and three Norri Rolls with Wasabi cream and pickled veg for the other three. Followed this with Wagyu brisket ragu with horseradish mash (for 3) and marinaded guinea fowl. All stunningly wonderful.Topped that off with amazing treacle tart and clotted cream (for the chaps!) and a shared coffee pannacotta (for the girls).We stayed with the very acceptable house wines.Quite one of the best lunches we have had for a very long time - and we eat out a lot as well as having great cooks at home.Great service and immaculate cooking. Ate lunch with friends on a Thursday. I like arriving here for the welcome and the appearance of this gentle wood decor. Service was good and engaging. The food was very much enjoyed, I had really delicious stuffed peppers dish as a starter followed by a great mackerel with beautifully green and buttery potatoes. My colleagues enjoyed their puddings, which looked like proper pudding with custard. Shall look forward to another visit.

We had not been there for a while and had a Sunday lunch with friends. The service was fine though the poor waitress dropped the tray of drinks, it was an accident. She was mortified. The lunch menu was not that comprehensive though what we chose was fine. We just felt it was not as great as before.

Tuvimos el almuerzo del domingo (grupo de dos), en general describiría la experiencia como algo satisfactorio y bueno. La disposición de los asientos estaba bien: tenga cuidado con la mesa pequeña cerca de la entrada, me imagino que esto implicaría sentarse en un borrador (solicitamos y obtuvimos una mesa diferente). El servicio fue eficiente, aunque el restaurante parecía estar bastante lleno, con un personal joven y amable. Un pequeño punto. . nos dieron pan de cortesía con aceite de oliva para mojar, un buen toque, pero no se proporcionaron placas laterales. La comida: ambos teníamos un plato principal de carne asada más papas asadas, brócoli y pudín de yorkshire. Aquí es donde hay margen de mejora: la carne de vacuno era rara (no se ofrecen opciones) y no es de gran calidad (se describe mejor como "bien, pero un poco dura"), las papas eran pequeñas y mullidas (es necesario utilizar una variedad más adecuada de papa), el brócoli estaba definitivamente mal cocido, pudín de yorkshire estaba bien. En general, poco condimentado. No tomaría mucho mejorar este plato principal. Para después, teníamos sorbete y strudel de manzana, ambos bien. Todos lavados con una buena botella de vino italiano (Primitivo) - tienen una buena lista de vinos. Así que, como digo, "ok, pero podría hacerlo mejor".

Almorcé con un amigo. Elija el menú Set, que es lo suficientemente extenso. Los entrantes fueron el Pate y la sopa, buenos y principales platos de Hake & Venison, otra vez delicioso. Postres de sorbete y el pudin de dátiles. Toda la comida era muy sabrosa.El servicio era bueno.Sólo críticas: las porciones eran pequeñas y se necesitaban platos de acompañamiento para el plato principal. Arrived around 7,place was completely empty which made me think if its safe to eat in because no locat customers? Decided to give it a go based on reviews. Starter was good, main nothing exciting taste was good enough (ordered chicken breast arrived breast and piece of leg - bonus?) , desert too sweet for my liking but for £25 early bird menu set is good enough. Would try other places in the area next time.

Comencé con un pequeño tazón de mejillones cocidos en salsa blanca, y seguí con una innovadora batata al horno en salsa. Pensé que eso era muy bueno. Terminé con un pud de chocolate con helado. El restaurante ofrece un buen asado los domingos (según nuestros vecinos en la siguiente mesa), pero no es nuestra preferencia. Nos lavamos con una botella de rioja blanca que también disfrutamos. El servicio fue por personal joven enérgico. Iremos de nuevo.

Queríamos probar un lugar nuevo para nosotros en Wimbledon y no nos quedamos con ganas.A pesar de ser una media semana relativamente tranquila, a media tarde había mucho ambiente. El servicio que recibimos fue de buen ritmo, atento y amable.Nuestra comida estuvo deliciosa. Disfruté las vieiras para comenzar, aunque entiendo que los cambios en el menú son frecuentes aquí, ¡así que todas nuestras recomendaciones tienen fecha de vencimiento! Nuestros platos principales estaban deliciosos. Disfruté una carne de res cocida a fuego lento en vino tinto con puré de rábano picante y zanahorias, perfectamente cocinada y rica en sabor. Mi esposa disfrutó de un plato de pasta filo vegetariana, que estaba lleno de bondad otoñal, bien condimentada, aromática y deliciosa. ¡Tuve un par de bocados para confirmar su estado de delicia! Ambos coincidían perfectamente con el clima otoñal que rodeaba las calles.El menú de postres fue fuerte, lo que nos llevó a cada uno a pedir uno, dado que no pudimos elegir solo uno para compartir. Intentaré recrear el semifredo de manzana verde, con crumble de jengibre y compota de mora. El mousse de chocolate caliente también era bueno.Recomendamos este lugar.

He estado yendo al faro por más de 10 años y nunca ha fallado en entregar mi visita más reciente. La comida era mediocre, no está mal, no es genial. La comida en el faro era excepcional. Ahora es solo promedio, soloEl servicio fue agradable y rápido. Mi fue rápido Una comida de tres platos en 1 hora y 15 minutos un sábado por la noche. Una vez más, no hay nada malo, solo tienes la impresión de que intentan cambiar de portada lo más rápido posible. Cenamos a las 8: 00 pm y hay al menos 8 mesas vacías.Y el ambiente. El faro siempre fue el lugar donde llevar amigos para pasar una noche relajada y acogedora. Ahora las mesas están abarrotadas y no hay ambiente.Es una pena para uno de los mejores restaurantes de Wimbledon. No volveré y estoy desanimado por tener que decir eso.

The food, the wine, the service, the ambience were all brilliant. I have a nut allergy and a specially annotated menu was waiting for me - couldn't ask for more and we will be back!

A group of us went for lunch. The food was excellent, as was the service and wine selection. This is a place that if UI lived in Wimbledon, I would use on a regular basis for sure. I would highly recommend that you give it a try!

This was our first visit for a family celebration mid week and we simply could not fault the service or food. The restaurant staff were so friendly and attentive and had gone to the trouble of putting flowers on our table for our special occasion. We ordered lots of different things from the menu and our family had only very positive things to say about the food. I had the crab croquette for starters which was full of flavours and the guinea fowl for my main and it was all simply delicious. We will absolutely be back again for a visit - a fantastic restaurant which we would especially recommend for special occasions

We came here last week for a family dinner. Had 3 courses and it was delicious. The staff were attentive and we had a lovely experience. The bread they serve at the start was exquisite and I had to stop myself from eating too much before our courses.

Back again at our favorite Village restaurant. I grew up just down the road in Ridgway Place so no stranger to this space (previously Cullen’s....many moons ago) but Light House has been a fixture for over 15 years. Truly phenomenal food, their touch with game (duck and guinea fowl) is first rate, but the menu in general is complex without being complicated. The price points are realistic, average £7.50 a starter and £16 main...generous portions. Wine list is somewhat limited but quality exceeded expectations; we selected a Brunello for £75, slightly extravagant but superb. The staff run themselves ragged but are polite, attentive and knowledgeable. If you are staying in wimbledon Village (hopefully not at the Hotel du Vin!), this is a “must visit”...enjoy.

I booked this for my daughter’s birthday partly because the reviews and really wanted something that appeared premium and cosy! Having turned up late they were kind with that but I almost wished now they had agreed to cancel as I was so very disappointed! The service was sub par from what I am use to. Considering it was a birthday it was not a good experience I would avoid. I did call in asking to have a good waitress as it was my daughter’s birthday.Food was very average, they were confused as to gluten and dairy options which was worrying! I was told different things. I had sea bass as did my son which had no taste, no seasoning, it was if it was steamed in water. Our general consensus as a family of four was disappointing, we decided to opt out of any deserts and go home and have a lovely slice of birthday cake instead.I apologised to my daughter and vow next time to stick to what we know. Fortunately she is going to a lovely sushi restaurant this evening. Overall, if you like bland food then it’s for you. Interior is nice, it was a little chilly as every time the door opened the chill wafted in. I am wary of reviews as this certainly did not meet up to expectation.
