The Light Lounge in City of London, Westminster

The missus and I enjoyed a good old fashion boogie. Top stuff mate. Didn’t realise it was a Gay Bar but I’m comfortable with my wife. Nice boys though, wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Went there for party they charged me for an event by mistake and they refused to give me my money back so i paid again for the club, they ruined my night .first and last time

I was having a nice night with my friend in soho. We decided to got to ku bar Leicester Square. Anyway then the drag queen piked my friend for a play and cuz of his raze she excluded him for the rest making racist jokes. This is not acceptable in city multicultural like London is !

We went in the Ku Lounge to go for Karaoke but they only have Karaoke on Monday so we were bummed out.But turn out they had a drag show with cocktails included for £10 only.Totally worth it we were so entertained!The show starts at 2200hrs but do come in early to have comfortable seats as there is limited seating and it gets filled quite quickly.

We had the most incredible evening being served by Stanley- Beautiful vibe, beautiful people and amazing mojitos x Thank you so much Ku, wonderful as always x

The Ku Bar is one of my favourite spots around Soho. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and you'll find the atmosphere is always one where you can feel at ease - doesn't hurt that it's great for enjoying a drink on a warm and sunny day. My reason for this review is because I was impressed with the levels of assistance from the Hr & Office Manager, Amy. She was attentive and very quick with answering my questions when booking a 10 person booth for the Eurovision screening. The result was a great night and everyone left very happy.

Nice little lounge, we got our drinks fast. Place was packed so it was hard to find a seat. Nice design, though I gashed my leg on the corner of one of the tables. DJ was cool but the music was way too loud for a place that doesn't have dancing.

All the staff at KU were amazingly helpful, kind and generous with their time. We had a great party and I could not fault the place.

Had drinks there on an early Saturday evening. Entertained by a drag show with cocktails included for £10. Totally worth it. Come a bit early to have comfortable seats as the space can get packed quick.

Always pop in for a drink when up town, Popped in on a sunday eve (my birthday) and discovered there was a drag queen singing so that was really fun, service was great!!

One of the best places that I have been in soho, place where you can fin easily good vibe, and good drinks which are really good made and lovely people that serve, really recomendable, the people is very kind and sociable I had the opportunity to met a guy from Venezuela really enchanting and cute making the night happiest. Things that is important to make you experience different 🥳

KU Lounge is by far the best gay bar in Central London. From drinks to vibe to drag shows to dance floor are all top-notch. I visited for 4-5 nights in a row because of the vibe. All floors are well mantained and have a different vibe to it. 🫶 The drag show by Vicki was funny, entertaining and would surely bring you to your feet. 👯‍♀️ Can’t complete my review without mentioning Alex (Alexander), he has been the BEST HOST, be it getting/serving drinks or making you “feel at home” at KU. Brownie points to him for that ever glowing smile. 💯 KU lounge is a place I will surely be spending my night at, whenever I am London. Keep up the good work guys. Cheers.

Wow! We went to experience the gay bar scene and were surprised by beautiful people, great drinks and friendship! Day 1 (yes, there were multiple days) we asked Alex to surprise us with drinks and day 3 he has not disappointed neither in the amazing drinks nor in personality and what has turned into a friendship. Thank you Alex and gang (JJ/Dayane/Istvan/Ciara (she looks like Katy Perry)) for making our London trip AMAZING and extra special. Love you guys!!

The most recent renovation has left this bar soleless and almost sterile. No warmth at all in here anymore

Nice place , good decor , nice vibe , we were day drinkers who stopped by for a hen do , we did pre book , drinks order taken quick we were shown to a nice area , good music we really enjoyed staff on door were very good

Went to ku around 19.00 a Saturday. It was quite empty. We ordered 2 cocktails which took 30 minutes to get. And the taste of the cocktails was not worth the time or the money. We will not come back.

I love the revamp. Much more open and more accessible to get around. The club downstairs is lovely. Not much interest in cocktails upstairs; they should be more assertive on that side.

Greeted as soon as we walk to the door, everyone was so friendly and looked amazing. Had a couple of cocktails and shots that were really good, definitely recommend the lychee cocktail!

My friends and I went to Ku-bar over a week or two ago to catch up over a few bottles of MOET ROSE CHANDON. The evening started off beautifully with lots of jokes, catching up and laughing away. After 7 to 8 bottles of MOET ROSE CHANDON, few cans of red bull and sparkling water with a bit of a misunderstanding with the waitress, the waitress behaviour was some what unpalatable so was the rest of the team which cut our evening short. My friends and I had a very, very bad experience leaving a bitter taste in our mouths. I don't think they know their audience very well, or they just need proper training or possibly should be trained all over. Lady Watson

Such a disappointment of place. Disgraceful bartenders. Bouncer argued with me because he thought I was drunk when I clearly wasn't, he tried to deny our entry when there was no reason whatsoever but his own minimal power of bouncer, poor guy. Music just ok, forgettable place.

Great drinks, I really enjoyed the lotus drops and long island ice tea. Don't worry if a cocktail you like isn't on the menu, the bar staff may be able to make it for you anyways. I enjoyed the music playing, there was K/DA and a vocal cover of crazy frog that I really enjoyed. The waitress was very nice and provided great service to everyone and seemed very friendly and always happy to help. At 9 or 10, I don't remember when, a drag show was hosted and was a very fun experience, Snow White Trash was the performer's name, great singing and saxophone playing, great comedy she was very funny, and got the crowd involved as well. The seats were comfortable and the establishment was very well presented. This was all on the first floor, not the ground floor, I was not able to see if there were any accessibility options available.

Interesting venue on Thursday’s apparently. I came because they were rated high for cocktails not knowing what other event was going on. It’s in a great part of town (Asian influence) and this particular night there was a drag show. I still had a good time and I’d come back.

2 floor Gay bar with shows on the second floor. The ticket to the show included 1 cocktail (small glass). The show is "one trasgender show". Very happy atmosphere.

Hosted a birthday party here. Staff were friendly, music was great, drinks were tasty, couldn't fault! Diana JJ and Rahul really looked after my party and made sure everything ran smoothly. 5 out of 5 for sure!

I live in Dubai but I'm back in London after a year of dealing with my uninvited uncle, Covid The Terrible (first cousin of Ivan). Anyways, this bar was recommended by a pal and by god, he was right! From the minute we arrived, the bar staff bent over backwards to accommodate our seating request and then continued the 5-star hospitality by regularly checking our drinks orders. Also, seriously cute guys here! This is a new hotspot for us - well done team Ku Lounge xx

What a gem of a place. I came here for a drink with my sister and the staff were so accommodating- finding us a seat outside. Drinks were served in such a timely manner and Kyle the manager was super friendly to talk to :-)

Great vibe in center of soho. Cocktails taste great and have a good variety. Bartenders are full of personality and are, cheeky (which Is a nice touch).

We was literally just lucky with table. We had few drinks, experiencing lovely atmosphere, friendly staff members, even security guard was very polite and friendly and showing of some skills with their new procedures. Tasty drinks and friendly prices. I will return back happily.

The best bar in West End. Period.

Ground floor was always meant to be more casual, music videos playing. Upstairs was obviously catered for a more up market clientele who wanted to sit down and chat, have cocktails and have waitress service, it's even called a lounge, then why play loud music? Hardly sophisticated. Otherwise great place since they done the place up a few years ago.

Well this is different! I remember this used to be a small room. Now it's a swanky bar. kubar itself has been around for years. This in the middle of China town is just perfect. All your typical selection of drinks on offer and in this particular room they offer table service. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

This is a lovely place with great staff. They are always willing to help and are very polite. The decor is up to date and has a good vibe. The only downside is the drinks are very expensive.

Was here for a friends birthday party, which we reserved a space for upstairs. However, others who had done the same, seemed to think they could come over steal our chairs or sit on the backs of our booths and the staff did nothing... Really not impressed with the staff for this. Why should me and my party have to argue with others. There's a smoking area upstairs, which they shut early because of people living nearby, annoying. Drinks were extremely expensive but it's London. Wouldn't go back.

Nice setting but the bartenders are all unknowledgeable about the drinks and rude, when I visited they kept chucking us off tables after sitting there for a few minutes, saying they had reservations. They did not suggest where else we could sit before walking off, and were more preoccupied looking at their phones and texting! Unbelievable. Never again

The place is in the good location, that’s definitely a plus. When it comes to value for money - I wouldn’t recommend it. Cocktails ok priced but are hit and miss in consistency. Wine is overpriced for what it is. Ordered some nibbles for friends birthday party - £172 for few bites of finger food :( And don’t think that spending in the place well over £600 will buy you at least a smile from the staff, not in that place. Throughout the evening we haven’t felt welcome, tolerated at best. That attitude is not something you want to pay your money for....

Very few people upstairs in the area I was in so it shouldn't have taken as long as it did to get a drink.

Decent music and top rated staff putting 100% effort into making your night a top one. Very good night

This is my latest favourite place to spend time with friends. Tucked away on top of the famous Ku bar, this place is very chill during the early hour, with spacious sofas and a value for money drink menu in the middle of Soho. The mood picks up in the late evening, with DJ playing a good party selection. The table service is attentive, friendly, and all round great experience whether you're out for a chit chat and drinks , or getting ready for a night out.

Had a great night at Light Lounge celebrating our stag do on the weekend. The host made us feel welcome and made sure we got priority entry into the Klub. Reserving an area was incredibly easy for London (and no deposit required!). Thanks to Amy, Stefano and the team!

Rude arrogant staff! Avoid as they don’t care about customer service! Ignore you at the bar and then serve other people. Disgusting attitude even from the manager

Visited here on my birthday and won’t go back. When we got to the bar there was a barman there who looked at us and walked off, and started cleaning tables. A barmanager (I presume) walked into the bar, looked at us then walked back out, no acknowledgement. I said a comment about service to my partner to which the manager heard and asked the barman to come back to the bar. Barman returns and fluffs about behind the bar before leaving again! Still no acknowledgement or service! By this time a female customer is now at the bar, bar manager returns, still no acknowledgement of any kind then serves the female customer! By this point we are disgusted with the lack of service and the poor arrogant attitude of both staff members. Avoid this place, much better places where staff acknowledge , smile and speak to customers.
