An absolute gem! The food is incredibly fresh, with high-quality ingredients that you can truly taste in every bite. The stone sea bass was cooked to perfection — delicate, flavorful, and unforgettable. What made the experience even better was the warm, generous hospitality. The gentleman running the place is exceptionally welcoming and makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended!

Lamb with potato (tsigariosto) was amazing. the cretan pot was original but had too many potatoes in it. kataifi nest amazing. Cool vibe and service. We had 50% off with the fork app, otherwise it'd be too expensive. gamopilafo and dakos so so. fish portion was too small.

Took 45 minutes for our mains to come, had to ask for a single wine glass 3 times and asked for the bill 4 times. The dishes were tiny portions, pretty mediocre and at extortionate prices. The only positive was that the staff were friendly. At my table of 5, none were impressed. Would not come again.

We tried the orange wine and it was really good. First time trying it personally. The cheese board was relatively small but tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed our evening.

Great dinner experience last Thursday. Although we walked in without a reservation, we were welcomed. Every dish was beautifully presented and with flavour. Totally recommend the lamb croquettes and the lamb antikristo. Atmoshpere is welcome and unpretentious.

Small Greek restaurant, located near the BBC, specialising in Cretan Food. Unusual range of dishes including snails in a salt, vinegar and rosemary sauce, Koliva, a dessert that is usually served at Greek funerals. To drink, we chose a Greek red wine, called Celini @ £38.00 per bottle, which had a strong tannin taste. I chose Gamopilafo, lamb and rice, for my main course. At the regular price, this would normally have been £29.00. Service was good, without being obtrusive. If you fancy something slightly out of the ordinary, it’s worth trying this restaurant once.

Considerably over-priced, even considering the location. Don't order the "smoked pork steak" expecting some local Cretan exoticism: you'll get gammon. The Lyrarakis Estate (£52) is inferior to a £9 bottle from M&S. The lamb (gamopilafo) was, however, very decent, if also over-priced.

Had lunch here, absolutely delicious Cretan food. Recommend the feta spring rolls, winter salad and lemon chicken. Insane wine list!

Truly wonderful restaurant! Absolutely loved dining here - fantastic innovative and fresh flavours, enjoyed every dish served - fantastic modern twists on Cretan cooking while still being authentic. Loved the lamb kebabs (photo attached), and the salad was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had. Very cool, minimal and stylish decor too, together with lovely staff - this restaurant truly deserves to be a huge success!

Friendly staff, the pork steak was very tough. They don't offer any alcohol free drinks like beer, and there were no ingredients in the bar to make a cocktail. There were no toilet rolls or hand towels in the toilet.

Probably the best Greek food in London. All produce is fresh and every dish tastes amazing.

The place and food are very pretty and esthetic. However, the price is too high. I was disappointed to find out that the online menu and the actual one are not the same. Also, on their website, it seem like they have lunch menu everyday, which is not the case.

Quite nice Greek restaurant in central London. The food was delicious, even though the portions were relatively small. Quite friendly staff and nice atmosphere! I would dine again at 1905 London.

Amazing place with Greek flavors in the heart of London.

Food was nice and well presented. The food was good value for money in central London but the wines were expensive so limiting choice if you are on a budget. My partner had a vegan stifado which she liked but felt it lacked the depth of flavour of a home cooked one. I had the lamb kebab which I really enjoyed, not overcooked or dry. Our starters, stuffed vine leaves and feta rolls were great. Service was pleasant and relaxed, just what you want and we didn’t feel any pressure to hurry our lunch. All in a a great place to eat away from the chain restaurants.

Food was plentiful and delicious. We had the chestnut stifado and the smoked pork steak. Staff were attentive and friendly. Good atmosphere. Great value for money.

We had dinner here for the third time, twice last year, once this year. The food here is exceptional... very well presented.. very tasty.. I would say the best authentic greek food around... such a good find.. the young lady serving us was also lovely... this place should be packed... a hidden gem.

I've been here a few times - it's a good restaurant with good food. This is the first time I've tried the new lunch menu. It's well priced with lots of options. Vine leaf starter was good as was the Greek salad. My main was disappointing, chicken gyros. It looked like I bowl of leftover - thrown in - not enough meat or potatoes (which were also like left over pieces). The flavour was there and I wanted to like it but the presentation and portion size was not good. My friends had the lamb kebab, which I wish I had ordered too! Good portion and they said it was delicious. Service was also a little disinterested too. Good value and have had much better service and meals here.

I have been a foodie for over 20 years, I have travelled all over the world and eaten at the best restaurants. This restaurant is by far one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to, and definitely the worse Greek restaurant I have visited. This restaurant is an embarrassment to Greece! The food is terrible, the service is below average, AVOID AVOID AVOID !

Very efficient and friendly service. Excellent oysters. Too much vinegar and rosemary in the snails. Too much acid/lemon in the greens. Main of antikristo was excellent. Braised Lamb was great but potatoes were very chalky - maybe due to undercooking or variety used. Dessert was great. Decent wine. No loo roll in toilets and shampoo was being used in lieu of hand soap.

Food was good but I don’t think worth full price on the menu. Service was a bit slow but servers were friendly. Would have to try more food on the menu to give a more thorough review.

Came here as saw on first table and was amazing. The food was delicious and wine selection great. The tacos were a surprising highlight, although the lamb was slightly dry but still delicious. The staff were super helpful choosing the wine and very friendly. They could have topped up our wine glasses more frequently but that is a minor point.

We came for my friends birthday. The service was excellent as was the food. I was able to have a vegan option which was beautiful and the flavours were excellent. My friend had a lamb dish was she thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a lovely lunch, two starters and two mains with wine. A filo pastry with courgettes and cheese and a stuffed pitta with greek yoghurt for starters. For main we had a chestnuts stifado and lamb with greens and a croquette.

Overall disappointing experience. The food was ok, but we found some of the staff member’s behaviour rude and disappointing. They seem to give some customers preferential treatment, while they do not really care for the custom of others. They need to specify on their online booking system where the table is located. Despite having a booking we were placed outside at a pavement table. This would not have been our choice as it is not pleasant when it’s chilly and the road (and pavement) has constant traffic. We asked politely if we can be moved inside just to be rudely told that they are keeping the inside tables for bigger groups (we were only 3). Cherry on top was that the inside tables never got really full while we were there and they also moved another group of 3 inside when they requested it (preferential treatment). Won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant to friends and family.

Had a lovely meal of excellently presented high quality food & wonderful friendly service. Didn’t get a photo, but recommend the beef cheeks. Will be back for sure.

Great experience having lunch in this incredible Greek restaurant inspired by the Cretan cuisine. I'll definitely come back and taste more dishes on their menu.

Delicious spot - the Tamara, the dakos salad, the Cretan pot, the kantaifi nest and the boureki were outstanding (the mushroom pitaiki, the chestnut dish, the tacos and the lobster raviolini were alright). Service was alright, our server seemed a bit confused when we asked her pretty standard questions though the food came at a good pace and without issue. Cute vibe, the ground level is great for brunch and and evening vibe (especially on a warm day).

A wonderful evening - we were so well looked after with the most delicious authentic food in a fabulous intimate atmosphere. The chef was so friendly, knowledgeable and the courses were faultless

For me, the best Greek in London! We tried lots of stuff, all of them were delicious, but my favourites were boureki, tsigariasto lamb and kataifi nest! We really did want to try the desserts but we were all super full from all the food! 🤪 Service is absolutely fantastic! Congrats for the good job! Will definitely come back to try more stuff! 😋

Stopped for a quick drink and nibble and were not disappointed. The Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve had in London, and the bread came with butter, oil and flaky salt. I’ll definitely come back to try a full dinner here, especially the large variety of organic wines which all looked amazing!

Came here for an early dinner before heading to a show nearby and honestly had the best time. The venue is the perfect balance between cool and cosy with lots of attention to detail re. tableware, fresh flowers, etc. The food was incredible - I'm already a big Greek food fan, but the depth of flavour in the dishes was amazing. I love it when you go to a restaurant and have food that you know you could never recreate at home. Alongside the fabulous food, the wine selection is fab - vast with a nice sway towards a natural/hands off approach. Not to be intimidated by though as the wonderful team were there to assist with recommendations. We felt so well looked after, and I will definitely be heading back soon. Since my dinner last night, I have told about 20 people to run not walk to 1905.

Amazingly creative and wonderfully delicious

Food was good but nothing special, very few gluten free options which is strange for a greek restaurant. Portions were quite small and overpriced, the meat was very dry (not sure if it’s because the sauce had to be removed to cater for gluten free allergy). I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews from people without allergies but as celiacs we wouldn’t go back.

Everything we ordered was perfect. Amazing service and great atmosphere. Amazing desserts. We loved the lichnarakia. We also tried the London version of koliva haha.

Meeting up with special friends, went here on a local recommendation, a top tip. Elegant cocktails to start, spicy margarita was a hit. Then the food, oh my what a treat. Attentive service from knowledgable staff will help you make good wine and food pairings, these guys know their stuff. Delicious, tarama roe, a rich fishy delight, elegantly presented with pickled seaweed, tiny green strawberries, fat caper berries, and anchovies. The green pickles cutting delightfully with the creamy roe. Wild greens well presented, lovely char on the batons of courgettes, tasty tomatoes and a sprinkle of umami cheesiness. Mains, favourites were sea bass , chicken fricasee and the Cretan wedding pilaf, a mighty dish. Completely stuffed we had no room for dessert. Attentive staff paced the arrival of dishes well for our enthusiastic social, letting us have a good time together whilst never going without some tasty morsel. Not cheap eats, but worth every penny, good value for such tasty dishes. Thank you all at 1905 for a delightful evening.

Some dishes are delicious, like the lamb and chicken stew, was close to michelin star restaurant, others are overambitious; lamb rack, for example, too many elements that were not tied together by a sauce; potato croquett has nothing to do with the dish. The staff are very nice and polite, top marks, the music is not right for the ambiance and volume should be lower.

Good food, the potato with crab was delicious. Risotto was also nice.

Excellent vibe and the best dining experience! Transported straight back to our holidays in Crete. The wine list is endless, very interesting spirit and cocktail list, too. Ten stars for service. Must try the melon daiquiri :D. Thanks to the team for a most enjoyable evening with friends.

Nothing special for the price you pay. Mediocre food, tasteless and very expensive. Service was good though,the waitress was attentive and kept asking how everything was. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I definetely don’t recommend. We had a cold taco as starter and main dishes were so simple and did not taste well. Wine menu was unnecessarily expensive. The only good thing was the nice lady serving for us.

We visited that restaurant with my friends and we really enjoyed it. The food was really great and the service outstanding. They were very attentive and polite. We will definitely come back.

Disappointed to write this as was recommended this by a colleague and it had a history of good reviews but was a total let down. 8 of us met for our annual pre Christmas evening meal - we always try somewhere independent around Soho so a cosy neighbourhood Greek restaurant should fit the bill. It did not. The service was shocking with one of the team (older guy) openly hostile (when not on his phone at the bar). I arrived solo and waited 10 mins before asking if I could perhaps order a drink only to be snapped at ‘I will be with you in a minute’ (the restaurant had like 3 other tables) and then it was the same once the rest of my party arrived. They were out of pretty much half the wine menu but rather than make constructive suggestions to similarly priced alternatives, tried to upsell us bottles that costed £20/30 more. The food - it was delicious but again they’d run out of a few things (make it clear when handing out the menus / utilise a chalkboard??) and we did have to return my main as it was lukewarm (and then took another 10 minutes to return). As were a few other dishes but the girls didn’t want to complain. Given service with a smile seemed to be a foreign concept and the menu was so restricted because of shortages and we just weren’t having that great an experience, at dessert time we decided to instead just call in at evening and head for a nightcap at a pub nearby. Given it was Christmas and despite the bill being around £600 we still tipped but in retrospect I wish we hadn’t given the rude & coldness of the two male staff members. Do better.

Tear up the handbook on what you thought Greek food is. The food was authentic Cetan food and was fabulous. The staff were Greek and advised on everything from food to wine. Now a convert of GOOD Greek wine. Will return.
