What an absolute ripoff- 3 single gin and tonics ordered at the bar £38! I laughter because I thought he said £28 - then when he said £38 we drank and left. You wonder why pubs are closing at the rate of knots. Woman collected our glasses and asked if we wanted another round - so if we had had doubles line we sometimes do…….. £76 for 3 drinks / dont take the Pi**.

I'm sorry I love the place as in looks and feel but to charge £12 for a shot of sailor Jerry's or makers mark is scandalous and then have the cheek to put a service charge on I know it's London but still this is why pubs are going under cause one day people will say bollox to that cocktails in roof top bars are cheaper

Lugar Curioso. Hermoso entorno decorado te sentís en 1700. Muy bien la bebida. Floja la comida. Vengan por unos tragos y unas draft beers. No tiene sentido comer acá. Muy buena atención tanto del portero como del mozo. Recomendable!

The Pub was clean and the staff were friendly. I travel very frequently in Europe for work and this has to be quite possibly the most expensive sandwich l have ever eaten £12 containing roast vegetables and hummus. Myself and my colleague had a pint of non alcoholic beer and a pint of pale ale and paid in total £29

Don't bother coming alone, they don't seat single customers for some reason....

Reasonable cocktails are not prohibitively expensive. However, it is not the most comfortable place to spend an extended period of time in.

Drinks a bit expensive. Beer was ok not the best I have ever had.

I don't normally write reviews, but having found this absolute gem, and then had such fabulous service, I wanted to take the time to share my positive comments. A great atmosphere, good beers and something a little different. I've also tried the Cockney Singalong on Thurs nights, which is stuff of legend! Last night, were were a late arrival but Ricky still welcomed us with open arms (and even bought us a drink!!). Proper old school pub values. A great front person, good drinks and a fun and friendly atmosphere

As it opens late, it gets more and more crowded, but the atmosphere is cool. Drinks are generally satisfactory.

This was just round the corner from our Airbnb and was a great find. Really good selection of gin, service was great and the staff was lovely. Just wish we could sit out later but understand this is licensing. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

Not impressed by the service provided by the host here. The short male with the tweed suit was very welcoming when he wanted to convince us to come to the bar. However on our way out he didn’t feel the need to be polite anymore. As I was exiting he was behind me, which I didn’t know but also not relevant. I paused and right outside the door for a millisecond and he immediately made a passive aggressive remark about me “oh love you’ve stopped right outside the door”. When I say it was a millisecond. I mean it. Gross.

We went here for a birthday celebration.The staff were fab especially (Elle) I think the ladies name was.Very attentive,great cocktails.Very quirky will be back.Recommend making a reservation.

Very interesting inside, good old music hall songs. Don’t be put off by the tacky outside. Menu could do with more choice. Waitress lovely. Went midweek, lunchtime.

Great and traditional tavern that is highly recommended. Traditional deco and warm atmosphere with great selection of beer, cocktails and spirits. Service was warm and welcoming. Do drop by even for an Ale, you will enjoy here as I did

Martin who was our server was absolutely fantastic. So welcoming and we genuinely enjoyed his company and talking with him. He’s an absolute credit to the tavern and we can’t wait to come back again. Love Vanessa and Michael

There are some longstanding pub traditions in the UK about things like tables, where you can sit / stand etc. You don't have tables reserved for people when it is getting close to the end of the evening. Having spent over £200 on various rounds of drinks, for 6 of us to be told to give up a table at 22.15pm for a group of 2 people who didn't even drink and only stayed for 10 minutes is just awful. Look after your customers who are spending money and who may come back. Are we valued customers, or just mugs coming in and buying your over priced drinks?

Lovely small bar…only had a cocktail. Definitely worth the visit for the atmosphere and decor Drinks were nice although I’ve had larger and nicer drinks in venues closer by. No food had so I can’t comment

Fantastic. We had two gin cocktails and cake upstairs and it was really lovely. Had a drink in the bar beforehand downstairs. Great decor and atmosphere and very friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend

We came when it was super busy but it was a beautiful tavern and an actual tavern. Didn't feel like a modern bar as such. Really nice building and kept its tavern feel, happy to come back again.

We mistakenly booked at a different venue for a birthday recently. The staff went out of their way to fix the booking for us and Im glad as we had a great evening here. We didnt have a large amount of food, just a selection of bar snacks but everything was decent. Cocktails were great and the staff and service was fantastic.

Popped into London for the weekend and randomly found this bar. It will be a destination next time.

Lovely decor and something different, great central location and very busy and they serve alcohol! What more can you ask for? I didn't manage to find room to try the food so it is difficult to comment on that service.

We came across it by chance with a friend during a walk. We stopped for a drink and discovered a place that was completely different from the others - fascinating. The style is unique and inside you can experience a real experience. Many cocktails, even very particular and refined, to try. We will definitely be back!

The cocktails are ridiculously small. The ice cubes take up all the space, very little drink. The bottle of Coke is the same size with only 20 cl. The decor is nice.

It was my first time in london and luckly I am so blessed to be able to attend Mr Foog's Tarven Thursday musical night... The atmosphere was crazy I had no booking but me and my brothers stood more than 3 hours in pub with wow music, food, drinks and overall excellent customer service. Wonderful atmosphere I would suggest everyone who is around this place then do check it out .... every Thursday they have a live 🎶.

Lovely tavern in Central London. Rather than having a pint, I went for an espresso martini. It was well balanced and the price was okay for being central. It was a little bit packed inside but we managed to get a table outside.

Stopped in for an afternoon snack and drinks. Both the drinks and food were good. The bar room was full so we sat outside. It's a nice place to sit and watch the people passing by.

Looooved my lamb Sunday roast! Absolutely delicious and the service was second to none. The atmosphere was calm but inviting and I looooved the ladies toilets :) Overall a 5 star however you lost one star because I couldn’t have a cup of tea with my cake:( I still recommend!

Such a quirky place, cosy and brilliant atmosphere. Friendly staff. We have been twice on a Thursday night as there is a cockney sing song there. Lovely beers, lagers and cocktails too. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent bar! We felt soooo comfortable, the fish and chips are excellent and the Camden pale ale was our choice of drink, the closest thing to a red ale. I will come back whenever I come to London!

Food was good, the fries however were not like from previous reviews, they more looked and tastet like from mcdonalds. Additionally, it is just way too expensive for what you get (small portions)

Upstairs gin lounge is a great place to have a quieter time, with delicious cocktail. Downstairs was a lively standard pub with good service, friendly staff, and enough of your standard beer (and a good bar for cocktails).

Didn't have food so cannot rate it. Pub was great, we reserved a table and we're looked after for about 2hrs without having to go to the bar. Rugby on the TV, fantastic loved it.

Typically English atmosphere. I found this pub in Le Routard and I was not disappointed. The choice of beer is not impressive but enough to have a nice evening. I will come back to try the Gins. The decoration is surprising, in its original style, and there are customers of all ages.

Very popular venue with more customers than tables. To my tastebuds the cocktails are serviceable but not memorable. Not quite the experience it thinks it is. But hey maybe thats just me.

Very cool pub. The music that was playing fit the ambience perfectly and rounded off the experience. The toilet was a special eye-catcher.

For lunch on Sunday I ate in this splendid tavern. The atmosphere of the place is fairytale; it seems to be in an inn from other times with a charm and elegance that only the 'doc' English can create. The furnishings are meticulous in detail and the style is Victorian; even the bathrooms have original furnishings. The staff is very friendly and the girl who served us has a lot of grace even in the way she brings the dishes. The food is superlative, genuine and very carefully prepared as it is plated. Even the cutlery is in the style of the place. Everything is accompanied by music in tune with the tavern. Last thing, but these days and especially in London, the prices of everything are very honest. I recommend booking, because the tavern, Precisely because of all these qualities, it is often fully booked.

The "Old Fashioned"cocktail is delicious. I dare you to try the vegan burger: it tastes, feels & smells like the real thing.

Had a few pints here while in London. Small and cozy! Unfortunately I left behind a shopping bag and tried to call numerous times to see if it was saved but no one ever answered the phone :( would recommend, we enjoyed the cod bites and shrimp tempura.

The loveliest central pub to spend a sunny Thursday afternoon! Went for a bottle of wine served in this decadent goblet, extra lovely ice on the side and a treat for the eyes with all the bar staff in fancy Victorian dress! A great mix of guests ranging between the lads, the ladies, and family fun! And I cannot boast about the toilets more as they are the nicest pub bathrooms I’ve ever seen to date! Must stop in when circling covent gardens X

Great experience. Cocktail bar manager was able to get us some salami after the kitchen was closed which was much appreciated. Tailored service and reasonably priced, beautiful atmosphere. Will be going again soon!

Was disappointed,we booked later table purposely for dinner and drinks hoping to spend entire evening, as soon as we finished our meal was asked to move to make table available for another party who was clearly friends of champaign Charlie! This group did not buy any food or spend the amount of money we did .. Mr. foggs, you really need to address these matters... had this group been eating,we wouldn't have had any issues.

Exactly what a tavern should be, a relaxed, welcoming place for workers and customers alike. Quick hearty food, and an amazing variety of cocktails. I went there with my nieces and we had a great time catching up about their midterm break activities. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the city, need a quick bite to eat and a lovely pint. 10/10

Specific visit on my birthday for the Thursday knees up night. Brilliant fun and pianist was excellent and so professional. Table only allocated for a set period, but we weren't eating so no problem and was more fun standing. Did struggle a bit to read the smallish printing in the songbook though, but then my eyes are getting older!😆

Great atmosphere, great music and staff. However you can try to put some alcohol in 15 gbp cocktails. We went there for my friend's bridesmaid party and ended up drinking 5 cocktails and I wasn't even tipsy at the end of the day. And my threshold for alcohol is really low. Really great looking flashy cocktails with a miniscule amount of alcohol in them don't be so stingy Mr. Foggs cmon we come to you for alcohol.

Nice pub with friendly staff. Have always wanted to come here but it has always been busy. Managed to get in without booking. Décor is amazing and the toilets are great too. Definitely recommend paying it a visit. We didn't have anything to eat but maybe next time

Amazing cockney sing along Thursday

The variation, contents and quality of the cocktails are changed from the previous year. (2023). There are less cocktail selections with whisky and rum. They become mediocre.

Wonderful service and great drinks

Disappointing. The decor is fun and the place packed. The wait staff are friendky and helpful but adter that it is very poor and sadly disappointing. The published menu is completely different from the actual " in house" menu and is very limited. One third were morning service only which is useless for a dinner reservation and on our visit more than half the remaining items were unavailable! Leaving no choice as the itens that appealed on the published menu were not there. I had asparagus tempura which was very over cooked. Stangely the asparagus spears were under cooked and the batter overcooked to the point of being rock solid; not beautiful crisp tempura batter. Sad. Pop in for a drink to see the decorations but they don't care about dining so give that a miss.

Booked table in advance, only went for drinks. Service was great and had the atmosphere of an old cockney pub with some good old songs played in the background, l would highly recommend this place
