We were so excited to come here for dinner and enjoy the music and fun environment. On a positive we had a reservation and were seated right away! But after being seated no one came in to check on us. We had to flag down multiple wait staff to ask for drinks that then took a lengthy amount of time to get. I am a casual diner but this was to the point that other wait staff asked if we had even ordered. Next once we got our first round of drinks we had to again wave down staff to get food. Once food arrived we had 10 minutes to eat before we again were prompted by staff that we would have to check out. We knew upon making the reservation that there was a time limit to the table but after spending the majority of our time flagging down staff it was difficult to understand how the best service we had all night came after we were told to pay and leave. This place has such a fun energy and the food was solid. The staff was mediocre at best and definitely could have handled the situation with more class.

Decided to come here for my birthday with friends. The music was so loud we could barely hear each other speak. They took another reservation for my table at 9:30 on a sunday (with the place closing at 11) and decided to kick us out after barely 2 hours. Three people came at different time asking us to leave when time wasn’t even up. And in an effort to make us leave as quickly as possible the waiter charged us random amounts although we were indicating him which items we each took.

We had a table for three booked at Mr Fogg’s for drinks and food today (23/11) for 1:30. As we were close by at midday we called in to ask if it would be possible to have drinks beforehand, although we understood it may not be possible. We were greeted by a woman with dark hair who, whilst coughing violently into her hands the while time, told us it would not be. The place was perhaps half-full at this time. We returned at 1:30 looking forward to our drinks and food. At this point, the place was packed. We were kept waiting while discussions took place among members of staff apparently at a loss as to how to deal with our booking, until another female member of staff eventually led us to a tiny, recently vacated, table for two. When we pointed out that there was only room for two, the staff member dragged a stool from another table and told us this was their normal table for three. Either this was an unashamed untruth, or Mr Fogg’s needs to rethink their seating arrangements. Staff were dismissive, chaotic, and downright rude - we had looked forward to this experience, planned and booked in advance, but felt we had no choice but to leave without eating. We understand that this is the busiest time of year, and would have appreciated an explanation that this perhaps had meant no suitable table was available - but instead were made to feel we were not worth staff’s efforts, time or attention. Such a shame as it is an atmospheric and quirkily attractive pub - but I would avoid like the plague. 0/5.

Pub in the center of London between Charing Cross and Covent Garden. "Old British" setting which fully recalls the atmosphere of Jules Verne's book to which the name of the pub refers. Fast service. Friendly, helpful and competent staff. Excellent beers, adequate food.

Value 1/5 £9.50 for a 2/3rds full cup of mulled wine. Price would be almost justified for the cosu atmosphere, but they should either downsize the cups or be more generous with the pours so it doesn't feel so stingy. Taste 2/5 more like sangria than mulled wine. Think they were counting on it being spiked with liquor, but having the 'standard' wine felt more like punch than a drink at a pub. Definitely not worth the hype.

Liten, fullstappet bar. Vi hadde bestilt bord for to, og fikk det som var nærmest inngang og do. Var i veien uansett hvor vi satt eller sto da vi kom, så ikke så hyggelig som vi hadde håpet på. We noticed someone enjoying a plate of fish and chips and it looked great. We had tried fish and chips somewhere else and we were greatly disappointed. Mr Fogg’s fish and chips totally redeemed our experience. It’s was crispy but lightly battered and thick white pieces of fish. The chips were thick and fresh.

As Londoners we probably should have known better and my poor review looks like it’s going to stand out like a sore thumb but it is was an ok experience which turned sour quickly. We were going to the theatre across the road so were pleased we could get a seat outside so close to the theatre. My husband went to the bar and bought a pint and an Aperol spritz. £20.40, less than 250ml without ice. I had asked for no ice so when he came back with a less than half full small glass I asked the server outside for another. His pint went faster slower than my two drinks so I decided on a straight glass of Prosecco so in total my “normal” sized Aperol cost £28.60 for a large drink but not massive drink. I was an aware of how much we’d spent and though I wasn’t over the moon I knew and willing ordered more, but, my husband had pointed out that the 2nd drink I paid for outside had had a 10/12% charge added which he had declined when at the bar getting drinks. So, I asked for mine to be removed, the waiter loudly said “Jesus!” And walked off he came back several mins later with a new amount on the screen (this detail maters later). I said I’d rather pay inside and was hoping to have a better interaction with the manager and explain that a “gratuity” is called that for a reason and it’s down to me as a customer to decide whether that is justified. I asked to speak to manager and he ignored me, then went to another customer (felt deliberate), when I spoke to him and explained the surely the customer should be asked or at least given the option, he was not at all interested in the fact that the server had been quiet rude or anything I had to say. It was very much, go away. I’m really please so many people have great experiences in Mr Fogg’s I would stick to pints but I won’t be going back (which I’m sure doesn’t bother the management) but I felt Royally ripped off and service was unnecessarily rude just because we didn’t comply. We were helpful pleasant customers because we both work in hospitality so know how to value people who are serving you, we are never rude or unpleasant. Please do better. “JESUS”!

Two weeks ago, four of us went there. We put our names down for the upstairs section and waited outside for our turn. As our turn was approaching, we stood up and headed towards the door, but one of my friends accidentally broke a beer glass. Despite our turn arriving, we were not allowed inside. The reason given was that my friend broke a glass , which was accedientially happened. My friend wasn’t drunk, it was just a crowded area where the glass was accidentally broken. We immediately apologized and offered to cover the cost of the damage ourselves. After waiting for 40 minutes for nothing, we were refused entry just because of an accidental glass breakage. The place was extremely rude and unaccommodating.

He is a fantastic performer with buckets of charm and the show is an absolute must go to in london ! Only one of the large group I was with was from london and Tom read the room and combined cockney classics with songs that everyone would know ! They have to notify beforehand or put it in the letter. There are many people who don't eat spicy! 👉🏻 Few food options. 👉🏻 Bad attention. You sit down and they don't bring you the food menu, only the drinks menu. I hadn't finished the drink before the girl came to take our plates and lift everything because they wanted to change the table. Everything is fine but it doesn't work. I left with the food still in my throat. 👉🏻 They don't bring you anything to snack on with your beer. 👉🏻 Small food plates. 👉🏻 The food is fast food (nuggets and potatoes) but it takes a LONG time to bring it. 👉🏻 Price quality ok. Approximately 20 pounds per person.

Friendly staff and great cocktails, though the drinks are pricey (even for central London). They're dog friendly which is amazing!

Lugar Curioso. Hermoso entorno decorado te sentís en 1700. Muy bien la bebida. Floja la comida. Vengan por unos tragos y unas draft beers. No tiene sentido comer acá. Muy buena atención tanto del portero como del mozo. Recomendable!

An old still English pub. Great service from the staff, good food, and ample liquid refreshments.

Had the most amazing and spectacular coffee in my whole entire life at this place!! The latte art was absolutely phenomenal and so beautiful!! The baristas who helped me figure out what i wanted to order and who made my drink, Mare and Angie, were so patient and kind. I will definitely be coming back here again soon and will recommend this place to all my friends!!

Great café with very friendly staff. Good sandwiches and cakes and really good coffee. Not many seats but everything is available for takeout. We tried the sausage and cheese sandwich and a marble cake with flat whites and it all was very tasty. We will come back again. Celebreties like Rod Stewart had their photos taken in the café.

We dined in at 2:00 PM on a week day, and the restaurant was still busy. We ordered a lobster roll and a B&L Combo with half a lobster. The half lobster itself felt small, so the lobster roll seemed better value for money. I’d recommend the lobster roll if you're here for lobster.
