If you want something hot don't go fir the Mongolian beef! It's not hot even though it had 3 chilly sign next to it. Very disappointing especially for the price. Shredded chilly beef was hotter and far cheaper. This chinese is all over the places with their quality, some days excellent other days not good at all. Stick to one chef train the brigade to cook that excellent dishes . And stop blaming your customers for you mistakes!

We always order our chinese from here. Very friendly and food always hot when it arrives. Always given a rough idea of how long the food will take to arrive and always delivered within that timescale. Would highly recommend

Had to use the light as our usual Chinese was shut on Tuesdays, the meal was all cold and the chicken balls were uncooked, took the food back and the owner did not seem concerned I got my money back

Had from here before and was ok. But just eaten our food and looks like they are using some kind of chicken substitute which is really off putting. Won't be eating here again.

Haven’t had a takeaway from here for a while but decided to have a treat night. We always loved their food, but this time I was disappointed, the bbq ribs were very salty and the chicken satay skewers really wasn’t fresh chicken breast, rather more like a chewy watery no texture meat. Very disappointing for the price!

Delivery was on time and in a polite manner. We have ordered Chicken Chow Main, Prawn Singapore, and Chicken Singapore rice noodles. Food portions were large but tasteless , and they didn't look appetising at all. Prices higher than other Chinese in the area. Definitely would work on appearance and taste!

Having eaten here before, I thought it was a reasonably safe bet. I was extremely wrong. I ordered a chicken curry, with prawn toast, chicken noodle soup, amongst other things for family. Two hours after finishing my food, I was violently sick, actual sick, not just feeling unwell. I’ve been in bed ever since (now for 24 hours) The GP has confirmed it is food poisoning, and I will feel sick and possibly be sick for 72 to 96 hours. I will never ever order food from here again. I even called them, to which they denied being responsible! Please do yourself a favour and avoid!

Food was absolutely amazing, hot on delivery which is always a plus. Recommend this chinese anytime.

The restaurant itself is nothing special, however the food is magic! The menu is varied, the food is all sublime, and they do takeaway or pickup. With a loyalty scheme as well, upon your 10th order of £10 or more when picked up from the restaurant, you get £10 off your next order thanks to stamps on a loyalty card! I recommend ordering with the team here!

Have eventually found the best Chinese. Prompt delivery, piping hot, loads of it (well worth the money ) tasty fresh and delicious. Highly recommended will use all the time now. Thank you 😊

We came here last week and everything was amazing but when we came here today and got our "large" chips it was half the size compared to last week. It was a smaller portion in a smaller bag. I phoned the restaurant and the young woman in reception was understanding and very apologetic but when the manager was put on the phone she was rude and had an attitude not letting me speak and kept interrupting. She said they can't be different and made out as though I lied, then started telling me the portion looks smaller as apparently the chips look smaller when they soften?? She was so patronising and I felt spoken down to and belittled but I'm not surprised as we have witnessed her talking to other customers in the same tone when at the restaurant. She cannot handle complaints and needs to learn how to talk to customers!

We tried this Chinese for the first time yesterday and we were really happy with it. We’ve tried various local Chinese but this one has become a favourite. We ordered chicken curry and rice and chips and sweet and sour chicken balls. The curry is the best one I’ve ever had. It’s so tasty and nice, the rice was well cooked. Often find it hard to find a place that cooks the rice fully. The chips were lovely and the chicken balls were huge. This is definitely our favourite we have found. Friendly service and quick delivery.

Bad experience yesterday I'm afraid. We have been happy until now but yesterday was awful. 10 chicken balls with no sweet and sour sauce was the first issue. The lemon sauce for the ribs in its separate polystyrene cup literally fell apart in my hand getting it out of the bag, burning my hand but apart from that the sauce inedible as it was like a waterery yellow liquid with not a taste of lemon to be noticed. Do not put polystyrene in the microwave, it melts and everything tastes of it. The duck was greesey which you do prepare for with duck but this was a bit nasty. The best thing was the chicken balls but useless without the sweet and sour sauce that was missing. I have a completed £10 voucher to use so that gives them 1 more visit. If its anything like the same, it will ne the last.

Nice chinese just a shame I ask for dry shredded chicken with salt and chilli, even describe it. And I've recieved chunks not shredded and the wet chilli sauce one. I even used numbers on the menu but got sauce chicken not dry again 😩

Hygiene is terrible Wouldn’t recommend

We used to love their food! and we ordered from them at least once or twice a month for well over a year and never had any complaints until last weekend!! We ordered chicken curry and chicken satay on skewers and a few other side dishes (rice, chips and veg spring rolls) - when we started eating our food we noticed the chicken was really rubbery, tasteless and had a burnt taste to it even though it didn't look burnt and the curry sauce was really bland!! we couldn't finish our meal because it put is off eating it. When we called to make them aware and that we are not happy, they treated us like we were lying and made us fish all the food out of the bin ( which we did and we put all the chicken back into the plastic tubs) and said a driver will collect as they need the food back in order to show the chef what the issue is. Then I received a call back from the manager who acknowledged that we have been a loyal customer and that she will refund us only for the food that we are sending back - which was fine until the manager herself turned up on our doorstep with a lot of attitude to collect the food and stood on our door step to inspect the food and she even had the cheek to say moan about the fact that we are only returning 3 chicken skewers and not 4 - to which we responded that we had to try the food otherwise how would we know if it tastes bad (as if we are lying) and even though we paid by card over the phone (as encouraged during a PANDEMIC OF COVID 19) she gave us the money back mostly in COINS!!!! and that money could have been touched by so many people that evening before it was given to us!! I am disgusted with the service and we will never use them again!

This is a great Chinese take away because the people that answer the phone are always polite and well spoken, the portions are generous, and if you order enough you get free Prawn Crackers. The thing I like the most is the fact that I can pay by credit card if I want to (contactless). For anyone that wants it they also deliver.

Regularly order food to be delivered from here and have never been disappointed. From the polite staff to the tasty food. They are willing to change certain ingredients to be acomadating and when one dish was missing once, they delivered it within 20 mins and gave us a free large drink.

My friend recommended The Light as he used to always order from here when he lived in the area, we ordered our meals at 10.43pm Friday night our order arrived soon after. The food was spot on only I'd specifically asked for BBQ sauce with large chicken balls along with other meals, we got two pots of sweet an sour and as a result my friend didn't enjoy his chicken balls dry along with his rice and chips, I enjoyed my meal but felt really bad for my friend, did try and call only it was too late....

Ordered chicken and cashews from here last night. A different chicken meal turned up so phoned to complain. 20 minutes later the manager turned up with a pot of cold, uncooked cashews to "sprinkle on the top of my meal!". My chicken meal that was incorrect was now cold so asked for my money back. The manager turned up 20 minutes later again, gave me my cash back and asked for the cashews and my incorrect meal back!!!! Would not use again due to the very bad service; not ever received such bad service from a takeaway before. Spicy chips were nice tho :o)

Great place for Chinese. Food tastes great, the staff are always polite, welcoming and good natured. The shop looks tidy and is warm/clean. They offer a good selection of foods which should cater for everyone. Highly recommended!

First visit tonight. Very friendly staff and free delivery. Food pretty good although the prawn balls were too fatty. Will probably use again.
