Longest I've ever waited to be served...very busy

The absolutely worst attitude of any retail and hospitality staff I have ever encountered. Just downright rude to the point of being egressive.. They need to be reminded they are there representing the brand of Costa and that theiy are being paid to serve.

The best costa I have been in. I have been in all the local Costas in Havant, Waterlooville and Portsmouth so I feel like I can say that. The 2 ladies that were there Wednesday morning after opening were really polite but also really efficient. It's a lovely store and the food and coffee were perfect. Thank you, we will be back.

No staff at the till. Stood waiting for service for a good 5 minutes, walked round the side where I found 3 or 4 staff chatting away. When I asked if they were still serving (3 hours before closing time) they proceeded to argue between themselves in front of me about who had to serve me. Not the most welcoming coffee shop experience I've ever had!

Excellent branch of Costa, friendly staff, tables cleared and wiped over as soon as they become free, plus great tasting coffee!

I ordered two take away coffees this morning. The staff were so unwelcoming and just felt rude. They clearly didn’t want to be there. I understand not everyone wants to work in a coffee shop but it’s not my fault and no need to be so grumpy to me about it. I had two drinks both of which were horrible. I go to costa often and they tasted nothing like normal, one was so milky you couldn’t taste any coffee and the cappuccino was awfully bitter. This is my second negative experience here and so I won’t be returning and suggest others don’t waste their money either.

Everything was dirty, there were dirty trays on every table. I was second in line and I waited 30 minutes for my coffee. The coffee was very good

Worst Costa service anywhere and far too often. 30 minutes today just to get to the till and not yet served . 1 lad on coffee and cold drinks and very slow

Had the fly curtains I wanted with no gold or silver. I traveelledfromportsmouth by bus oap so fee but shop is on main road and has parking.

Honestly I don't know what's happened. Since the management have changed this store is absolutely terrible. The staff are incredibly rude. The drinks are made with no care, half full with bad taste and even bits of coffee beans in. When you're paying nearly £5 a drink, you'd expect something a bit better. Queue times are usually about 20 minutes due to slow staff and understaffing. Sort it out Costa!!

As they have more than one coffee machine service tends to be quite quick.

Really slow service, not enough staff for a busy Saturday! Very dirty and unclean. Latte not great and tea very over stewed with lots of bits at the bottom of the cup. Not great.

Easy to park, on first floor of next store. Lift to Costa. Busy, quite a long wait. Clean coffee was fine. Pleasant toilets

Firstly the only reason this post has 3 stars is because of Olivia T and Laura who were extremely helpful and apologetic, it would be lower otherwise. I arrived just after 08:30 to grab a coffee and pastry but there were no pastries, this was apparently due to a lack of order the day before. Not great. I sat down and immediately noticed the state of the floor, clearly it didn't see a mop and soapy water the night before. My usual Costa is in Waterlooville, a store that is always well stocked, clean and welcoming when I visit. The saving grace with the Next Costa is the staff behind the counter (named above) who had been left to apologise for the lack of fresh pastries. Whoever failed to place the order owes them an apology and as I was not the only one asking they have also lost the store revenue. I will not be visiting again, hopefully the issues will be rectified should you choose to visit.

We had a small cappuccino and a pot of tea. Both were hot and tasted how you would expect from Costa. The barista was pleasant, the drinks were made quickly and everything was clean and tidy. We sat upstairs which is a little more spacious but cosy, but there is downstairs seating for those that prefer or need that. Both floors have toilets, though I didn't use them so no idea on size/accessibility or cleanliness. There is plenty of parking nearby, including disabled spaces.

Drinks food and service were great, everything ypu expect from Costa. It was however very noisy, we couldn't hear eachother talking.

So so busy but both girls, Becky and Annika did an amazingly well considering how busy it was. Had a Toblerone latte and a round of brown toast, my partner had a gingerbread latte and a round of brown toast too. As I say both girls did so well, coping with a nasty leak in the ceiling too. Both deserve credit. 👍

Very busy took ages to get served tables were messy had to clear away previous customers tray . Like to point out about the toaster that I dont think it is toasting properly this has happened previously at Havant Solent Road store and the toast is only cooked on one side properly,maybe a mechanical check is needed. The young cashier was calm with the queues bless her done her job well

Went to the counter to order, and couldn't believe the fruit flies crawling Round on all the cakes in the chiller cabinet. I told the girl at the till and she said I can't see any.. maybe she needs specsavers... disgusted I walked out

Set inside the Next store in Havant , its an ideal place to meet up with friends , grab a coffee or hot chocolate and maybe a bite to eat ... the macaroni cheese is lush ... and have a look around the store afterwards . Clean and tidy .

Wonderful coffee at this shop in Next and the service provided by Zoe was second to none. We had the £5 meal deal for lunch and it turned out to be great value. We will return soon !

Costa coffee above Next in Havant retail park. Lovely and open with tall windows with views to watch life go past beneath you. Staff are lovely. Always polite and helpful. I go there often.

I asked for the new summer meringue, expecting it to be accompanied with cream and mixed berry compote. To be given a plain meringue on a plate with no cutlery. I am a Costa unit manager for Compass and when I asked for the accompaniments they said they do not do the Eaton mess, and that they do not have the compote but I could have cream if I wanted. Are you really selling a meringue as a biscuit? Highly disappointed as it is not what I expected. My coffee and service was polite and friendly but no offer of a Costa card or upsales.

Very good always but could be a bit cheaper. That's why I give it 4 stars. Would have given it 5 if the prices are 10% lower.

This morning it was very busy, there were also several flies on the inside of the fresh food cabinet that was covered with a plastic sheet, the Batista was struggling to get them out so maybe not have any cakes today people's! ....

Wow fab service. Tom who served me was attentive chatty and helpful suggested a different blend of coffee which made my latte really nice. Listening to him serve other customer his passion for the brand is brilliant. One member of staff to hold on to.!!

Very busy Costa. Only thing that seems to be a problem, is at busy times table clearing is very slow.

Queued for a while at 0910 this morning. Have up after about five minutes because the queue wasn't moving!

They are always friendly, and know my order and start it before I get to till. Always chatty and welcoming.

The staff were very attentive the moment I walked in and it made this an incredibly friendly experience. The drink was made quickly with a nice chat to go with it, and the flat white that Tom made for me was so good that I had to attach the picture of it! I was amazed that he was still "in training". Absolutely love this store and always leave the store with a great big smile on my face! Great team, great atmosphere, great coffee :)
