Chicken fried rice - unpleasant/slimy dark bits of the meat. Sweet and sour sauce - runny, not overly tasty. Chow mein - standard, decent enough, can’t go wrong. Also No prawn crackers with a £24 order! Disappointed, expected better. Will be trying elsewhere

Basic. Crispy fried Won-ton was good. Rice lacked seasoning. Chicken that came in the satay wasn't good, no texture to it. The cashew bean curd was alright.

The food is nice but it takes forever to be delivered. Always takes a lot longer than they say. It's always over an hour. Sometimes waited a couple of hours for a delivery

The lemon tree has gone downhill in recent years both in terms of food and the service. To the owners. If you are going to promote your take away as one that offers gluten free at least have an area of the menu where I can see gluten free options. On a side note, the dude behind the counter who takes the orders needs to take a customer service course.

It wasn't too bad, I'd say it was good value for money. I got the crispy shredded chilli chicken which was not bad, would have liked the chicken to be more crispy but it wasn't too bad. Salt & Chilli chips pretty standard was good.

Staff not very friendly. Prices are quite high. Personally, not a huge fan of the food- the chicken satay skewers had an odd gelatinous texture. Salt and Chili chips were good though.

They write Halal but they didn’t have Halal certificates and this is against the Halal organisations rules

Best chinese in Glasgow but they now only do takeaways. We can particularly recommend wonderful duck and chilli mango chicken.

I saved this Chinese take away to my phone contact 6 years ago and each time I visit I am never disappointed. The food is fantastic . I mean fantastic. I often shop around and have found this beats any competition. If u order from here you will NOT be disappointed. Awesome.

Should have read the reviews. Just Eat order showed 30 mins but straight after confirming it changed to 1 hour plus. After 90 mins called and told it was on its way (app did not show this). Called again 15 mins later as I am 5 mins away and told it was out for delivery which still contradicted app. Gave up after 2 hours and went to bed at midnight. Never received food but fully charged. I’ll not be buying here again.

Bought a chicken fried rice ,curry sauce and chicken cow mein .....nobody ate the chicken as its absolutely horrible pieces ...absolute waste of £20.50 which is expensive already ...loosing regular customers to save money on what we pay for anyways .definitely will not be back until they start buying decent pieces of chicken again .....all scrapps bits of chicken .....terrible for a place which used to be so good aswell ....seriously downhill.....

I understand they can be busy, it is a nightmare when ordering for delivery, takes about 2 hours, I am 1.6 mile away. So plan ahead, however the food is nice.

After waiting 2 hours contacted restaurant to be told at least another 30 min, simple dreadful customer service and not the first time but it will be the last

Nom Nom. Crispy chilli shredded duck was gorgeous. Don't know why everyone is complaining about the customer service. The guy was lovely. I got a big smile upon collecting my order. Never had a "less than" experience here.

Best Halal Chinese Available! Always good fresh food wouldn't go anywhere else.

Chips were brilliant, as were the salt & pepper wings, as was the Honey Shredded Chicken, as was the S&C chicken balls. The starters platter is great. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the chicken satay. Massive portions - 1 portion of chips is easily enough for 2-3 people. Only problem was delivery time. Scheduled our order well in advance and they were still 20 minutes late.

Very disappointed,delivery was 30 min late. Food was cold,chips soggy only nice thing about it was noodle soup which had to be reheated in the microwave anyway.

Would have given a five star, but they didn't have my order ready despite phoning at least 20mins beforehand, went in to collect order and was told they'd forgotten my order and were preparing it while I was waiting, another 15 minutes of waiting.

Very small portion. Chicken was cooked but not well done, chicken satay skewer still had a pink discoloration. Food was floating in oil, extremely greasy. Delivery was 1hr30mins later than it showed on Uber Eats. If I hadn't got a discount, I would probably give it 1 star.

Got a quick snack last night chip we're burnt and the curry sauce was so thick never again 😩 would not recommend any thing again

The person who is taking order he needs to learn about customer service. I even don't understand why he took 8.50 for chowmein noodles. I saw the price in menu its 7.50. If there is any change prices they should include it in menu. Teste is OK but customer service is zero.

order via uber, now they cancelled it after 20 minutes because of they are not keen to wait outside A/E the payment get thru and then you have to wait for refund. call handler is rude in explaining.

Their food is amazing, and the service is great. They will adapt dishes for you, are friendly and the portions are massive. I’ve never dined in so am only writing about takeaway service. It’s worth calling direct rather than ordering via JustEat in my experience.

Why do we have to give one star when it is not merited Terrible!! Terrible!! Terrible!! Waited almost three hours for food on Saturday. This is the third time in the space of a few months that I have ordered. Waited at least two hours on previous occasions but gave thee benefit of the doubt. Never again. Manager on phone absolutely unconcerned and hung up when challenged as to why food is so late.

Peking Roast Duck - expected slices of crispy roast duck with some vegetables perhaps - no sauce. Served here? Pieces of old duck coated and fried in a bright orange, sweet and sour, surgery sauce with large, almost hard, onion pieces and pineapple. Horrible - and went in the bin. Other dishes poor - average. Never again.

Very rude man behind the counter, also seemed completely in an other world. From what I've heard though the food is very good tbh. Just stingy with the free crackers.

Never order from here. Ordered over two hours ago and still waiting. Man on the phone told me my order was ready an hour ago, so it's been sat all this time too. So rude too.

Really unfortunate how poor delivery is because the one good experience I had the food was really good and I find it hard to find good Chinese takeaway. Over 2 hour wait for food and spent an hour on Uber Eats just trying to have them cancel the order and refund me as I wouldn’t be getting my order. When I phoned and asked for an update he said “you’re the next one” and when I asked how long that was they said another 30 min at least. So either you haven’t started cooking it, or it’s sitting there getting cold for 30 min. Won’t be ordering from them again sadly.

Would give 3.5. While the food tastes decent, delivery took 50mis after i was told it was on the way. Like i said earlier food tastes good and the fried rice is amazing, however im not sure if i got what i acctually ordered. Ordered some crispy chilly chicken and some crispy chilly beef but feel like i got them both in a pekimg sauce.other than the delivery and posibble order mix up, its not too bad

Atrocious service, at least 2 hours for a home delivery order. The 2 times we ordered from them before that, the soup containers were leaking, I got burnt carrying them up to my flat. Never again.

So got a takeaway couple weeks ago and Ordered a couple cans which were forgot, phoned them and they told us to put a note on our next order so we did, cans weren’t there the second time so phoned again, they said they would send them out, they did, but they have actually stabbed one of the cans and put it in the bag, delivery driver was so apologetic said it must of happened during delivery, but there’s not a rip in the bag anywhere so obviously happened before the bag was tied in the shop. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour

I’ve used the lemon tree for years. As other people say, the food is good and the best curry sauce however the guy is just the rudest most ignorant man I’ve come across. Two hours wait for a delivery from just eat. Seriously questioning whether we’ll use them again.

Terrible Food Got Tofu / Beancurd Kung Po...it was really more like out of the jar sweet and sour sauce - not pleasant at all!!! Salt and chilli beanbcud was tough as old boots. Spring rolls were of the frozen variety, not homemade. King Prawn dish was not great...couldn't finish it. Will not be back following this poor first experience.

Overpriced food, over spiced sauce, onions not cut properly, poor communication with employees at the restaurant honestly disappointed with the state of the food for the price it was absolutely disgusting

Just been to it only to find price increases on average 50p per item no notice to inform customers and no menus showing new prices so could be charging any amount BEWARE!!!!!!

Very impressed by the speed and quality - A fairly sizeable takeaway order was ready within 10 minutes and that too during a busy time before iftar. Would highly recommend the vegetable chow mein - has a very subtle smoky taste with a kick from the green chilli garnish. Satay was cooked to perfection and had great consistency.

Put prices up food not very nice

Ordered the Special Foo Yung... It took 15 mins longer than the stated collection time but it was worth the wait...👍 👍 Felt for the lady at the front of the house, place was v busy, she could've done with some help....

This is the second time my takeaway has taken over two hours. No idea why they don’t just tell their customers they can’t cope. I will avoid this place now. I gave them a second chance but after reading other reviews on just eat - I feel silly I didn’t read them before ordering - looks like a chronic problem ..

regular customer since 5 years now. Fully halal and have always had a great experience. Large flavourful portions so you’ve always got leftovers for the next day 👌🏽

Frequently used on work break. Open right to last moment and food is ready within 10 minutes everytime. Most of us get snack type dishes (chips, fried rice and curry sauce for example), which are all good with generous portions, hot and well cooked. Had full menu items on occasion which have all been good also.

Good food at a very cheap price.

Whilst the food from this place is somewhat reasonable it is just not worth it. Having said that it used to be one of my go to Chinese takeaways but it has totally gone downhill. Don't even think of ordering through Just Eat, etc. Customer service is abysmal. I could go on but I really don't want to waste time on the place. Please.........forget it!

I am a very loyal customer to Lemon Tree. The food is good and you can have the option to have it gluten free. However, the customer service and delivery time is shocking. On several occasions I have been waiting over an hour and a half for a delivery, I have then phoned and every time the man on the phone has been extremely rude and no help at all. I was lost for words at the rudeness of him. It has seriously put me off this takeaway which is a shame because I am a loyal customer to them but after being treated this way several times it is unacceptable and I will not be giving my money to them again.

Been using this place for years. Food was very good. However in the last 6-9 months the quality has gone slowly downhill. Food bland and boring. Chicken tasteless. Tonight was the worst ever. Lemon Chicken. Like eating rubber. Disgusting. Staff couldn’t care less. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Carry out meal during lockdown, arrived 15mins early hot and tasty. Ws concerned as didn’t read previous review on poor delivery time but on a cold dark Tuesday night they got it right.

Ordered from here and it must have been a busy night as the delivery slot was 1 hour and 20 mins. Even then the delivery was 40 minutes late so we were waiting 2 hours for a delivery. Food wasnt that great when it came apart from the chicken fried rice which was decent. Probably give it a pass next time though.

They advertise that 1st order online you save 10% then 10% every 5th time. This isn't true & they didn't agree to it even though we showef them the app in store...

Nearly 2 hours for stone cold food . Very disappointing as their food is normally decent but you do wait , but this was excessive .

This restaurant really shouldn't do take away. They just can't do it. We have tried them a few times and every time it is the same; the food is tasty but anything would taste good after waiting over an Hour past the Eta. This time we thought ahead put our order in at 5pm with delivery time at 7pm. Plenty of time for them to get it right this time. Phoned at half 7 and told our food is on its way... Phoned again at 8pm told our food was 5 minutes away and I tried to cancel and get my money back but they said "you will get Your money back but the food is on its way so you might as well just eat it." Never got out money back but did eventually get our food. I am posting this more as a reminder to myself never to use this Chinese again as it is just a pointless waste of time.

I’m vegan and tonight I ordered the schezuan beancurd which I’ve had many times before and enjoyed. This time however I found meat in it when I’d almost finished 😖 I felt sick and won’t be ordering from here again 🤮

Sin embargo, ya es suficiente y será la última vez que pida comida. Recibí mi entrega media hora después de la hora estimada y faltaba una comida. Los llamé de inmediato y me dijeron que no tardaría mucho. Esperó y esperó. Eventualmente todos los demás empezaron y yo solo mordisqueé las galletas de gambas. Llamé de nuevo y me dijeron que el restaurante estaba lleno (esto es lo que me dijeron en muchas ocasiones cuando les pedí comida). 50 minutos después llegó mi comida. Toda la comida se arruinó. Used to the best halal Chinese in Glasgow but a change of chef and the food quality is not there any more so disappointing been going there for years aswell😐

Mouth watering and good portion size but bit pricy

One of THE best takeaway restaurants in Glasgow, I use quite a lot all over the city and I always end up back here, quality meat always used and the best chicken balls ever, highly recommended!

Ordered a king prawn chow mein with extra beef and chicken. Was charged for the prawn chow mein plus extra for each other topping. When I got it home there was 2 large prawns and 1 tiny one in the whole chow mein. When I phoned to complain. The staff said I had to pay extra if I wanted more than 2 and a half prawns. I've ordered from them for almost 20 years and this is what we always get with this being the first time of the awful service. Front of house said that's kitchen staff procedures for the amount they put in and if i want more prawns I'd have to pay for them. Salt and chilli chips had the texture of card board. Very shocked! Awful!

Been ordering from here for a few years now having had a couple of hitches along the way(orders taking over an hour cold food on arrival to mention a few).... Ordered prawns in my last order which had the worst chemical taste iv ever experienced.... Attitude of the staff when I rang to complain was totally unprofessional so I most definitely will not be using them again....

Told order would take 40-50 mins been waiting over an hour and a half, good selection of food but if you cant deliver on time, Not cool!!
