Little Buddha in Glasgow City

Ordered 3 meals costing over £30. Every single thing just tasted like it was drenched in salt. The satay sticks were like rubber trying to chew them. satay sauce was like a jelly texture, curry sauce pure watery! The noodles and chips were ok. Rice was a bit hard. Was such a waste of money. Waiting time was over and hour and a half. Can’t seem to find a half decent Chinese at all these days.

Ordered via Uber Eats...BIG MISTAKE . Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was £12 but if you go in its inly £6.90. Curry sauce almost £5 a tub, small prawn crackers £3.05, fried rice £4?!!!!Clearly hiking up prices for uber eats. £55 total for our meal which would have cost about £20 less going into the shop. If you plan on ordering from here do not use Uber Eats. Lessons learned!

Food was terrible, satay sauce was congealed, looked like thick slime. Curry sauce was tasteless, chips not fresh, ribs were drenched in chilli, the whole order went in the bin. I called to complain as we had spent just over £30 to which I was offered a credit note, obviously I refused. Would not recommend this Chinese and will never order from here again. Absolutely waste of money.

The food was great. The call taker and delivery driver were really nice and it came really quickly. Highly recommend

Bought long tray chips n curry and a salt n pepper chips there . The curry sauce was bland ( not long tray) plastic container:(( ?? Salt n chilli chips look like reheats , very dry over spicy not impressed very dissatisfied I put photos on but can’t add to my review for some reason? drove by several other Chinese to go there but last time we use paid service charge to order direct ( nuts ) Do better salt n chilli chips myself. pics up on they’re website photos very dissatisfied.

Ordered through uber but for some reason cannot rate on app. Food was tasteless. Breast of chicken curry very bland. Special fried rice, no ham just chicken and prawns ( I asked for no bbq pork), absolutely tasteless. 1st time ordering and will be the last

Food was cold delivery took 40 minutes whole order of £33 right in the bin. Will definitely never order from here again. Lesson learned

Normally nice food but delivery tonight was very poor. King Prawn chop suey was bland and just not nice. One portion of rice missing. When I called, the person was polite but I was told because I'd ordered through Uber Eats, they couldn't send a portion of rice out. Not sure I follow the logic that because Uber delivers the food, the restaurant won't rectify their mistake. Pity.

Very tasty Salt and chilli chicken and chips! Just the right flavour! I Would definitely recommend!! Thin noodles and fried rice have always been nice too! Staff are also really friendly and welcoming.

EDIT: I have retracted my previous comments here as now in the light of events they are distasteful in regards to the current war, however I stand by my review for our meal from Little Buddha being absolutely awful. I have never ever in my life thrown food in the bin but this sadly ended in there as it did not bear any resemblance to Chinese food and was a greasy, tasteless mess.

Had a dinner from Little Buddha. The food arrived in time. But the taste was like, i am no joking you would be better to get some microwaveable food from Lidl. It would taste better. Don’t know what happening with food quality in Glasgow. You would be better just cook yourself. Hope these people don’t call them-self Chefs. Absolutely disappointed. Got 2 star because the food arrived in time and not got food poisoning.

Expensive and completely disgusting food. However cooks their food has no idea how to cook Chinese food properly. We ordered 4 dishes, all greasy and tasteless. Unless you like tasteless greasy food, don’t order from here.

Ordered a breast of chicken curry. Sauce was very watery and tasteless. Looked and tasted like a homemade chicken curry.

Found this place on Uber eats and was slightly hesitant to order due to a couple of negative reviews I saw on here. We ordered the Little Buddha meal which was great value for money, the beef curry was 10/10 best I’ve ever tried! Would highly recommend!

OMG.. they have the best services ever! I discovered them in 2018 and I've never had a bad meal.. affordable and very delicious meals !

Got a chow mein .. noodles were like mush, the chicken mush, got a bag of soy sauce .. rice chip and curry I think they gave us boiled rice 🤢.. can say it was resolved very quickly n the women on the fone was polite and the customer service was spot on

I ordered a meal, arrived stone cold and wrong. I couldn't phone them as they were closed. Maybe if the woman taking orders wasnt stopping and starting the order taking process (talking to other people) Watery, sugary mess. The worst chinese meal iv ever had. Chilli chips like rubber, Peking sauce was so disgusting the whole lot went in the bin, a waste if £17,60. Will I use again absolutely NOT. Wish I hadn't bothered.

Food was ok, terrible customer service and took an hour and a half for food to arrive. Staff were incredibly rude on the phone when we had issues with phone service/getting back in touch about our order. When we asked after waiting an hour if they could give us an estimate on how long order would take, the woman on the phone had an attitude with me. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Visiting Glasgow, and didn't realise how quiet and difficult it would be getting food. Looked on Just Eat, found a Chinese with good reviews. Ordered online, filled details on room no. and hotel staying in. Food arrived 20mins before stated arrival time. Reception rang up to say it arrived. Food was delicious, no complaints, great service, start to finish, would use Little Buddah again if after a meal

Hi I orderd a meal from Uber eats and I orderd crispy shredded chicken and it came in a thick red not very good tasteing sauce and the sauce was never mentioned it just sayed “shredded chicken” so they should’ve been more pacific with there menu and mention if there adding sauces and when I phoned the restaurant the woman was very rude and sayed contact Uber eats then hung up the phone so this was my experience with this restaurant and I will not be back or ordering from again 👎🏻

The food was awful even tho I was very hungry I could only eat a little bit. The sweet corn chicken soup was a weird substance goo. I wouldn't even feed all of this to my dog. I am ashamed we even paid money for this.

Ordered a meal through Uber Eats, wrong order came. Advised driver who returned delivery to shop, was then phoned by driver to be told other driver had order which never turned up. Phoned shop to be told order could not be sent again as it was through Uber. Attempted to raise concerns with Uber but an able to as shop was listing as currently available. Shockingly bad customer service.

Recently had a meal delivered to an NHS family member as a birthday surprise during the covid epidemic. Can`t fault anything really. 3 Different meals were ordered, and a bunch of sides and the normally fussy kids scoffed the lot. Not many places are open at the minute due to the current pandemic, so knew they`d be busy and a longer delivery time than usual was to be expected. It wasn`t too bad a wait, and food arrived freshly made and piping hot. Good value for money with large portions, and the quality of ingredients were outstanding, considering a lot of supplies are hard to get at the moment. I`d definitely order from this place again, and totally recommend that people give it a try.

Order not turned up and still charged

Staff were okay, could have been more enthusiastic and welcoming. Service was quick, prices were reasonable. Vegetable rolls were nice, chicken noodle soup average, sweet and sour chicken and rice were nice.

I usually cook my meals at home but if I go for a Chinese takeaway close to my flat it's definitely Little Buddha.

Only saving grace cor this place was a fairly quick delivery time. Although with a fairly quick delivery time clearly this establishment forgot about any sort of food quality. The meat in the special chow main definitely came straight out of a supermarket packet and the sauce for the chow mein was unlike any other I have ever had, and not in a good way. A thick brown sauce that resembled a shop bought gravy more than anything and coated the contents in a similarly disgusting deep brown colour. Couldn't finish my meal, very unusual for me, purely as this was so disgusting. Awful ingredients, awful cooking, poor standard of quality and rubbish presentation. Will not go here again.

Missing drinks, which was sorely needed with the beef being near un-chewable, tough would be an understatement. The soup (use the term soup loosely) was overly salty and lacked any other flavours, with an extremely thick texture. Prawn crackers stale and chewy. Ribs dripping with grease. First and last time using.

Order from little buddah pretty much once a week (no joke). Absolutely outstanding every single time. Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style to die for! Veggie spring rolls are class and the biggest portion I ever have seen. 10/10 in every single way. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Delivery always pretty speedy.

I cannot give no stars. I don’t know how they have a 4 star rating, disgusting food, made all of us sick 🤢. Also, they forgot our mains and got the order wrong 3 times. We are tourists in Glasgow, starving and we haven’t been fed. We have spent almost €60 on this order and we couldn’t eat the food. Absolutely disgrace, their food is disgusting and I don’t know how they are allowed to operate. They are claiming “Thai food” but nothing close, deceiving customers and disrespecting Thai cuisine. Their staff are not nice to you on the phone too.

It can be difficult to find good Chinese takeaway and I was happy enough but this place was okay but not outstanding.

Service was slow both to have my order taken and waiting for my order. The food was hot and tasty. It was quite expensive though. Not sure i'd recommend it especially with so much competition nearby.

I was a little put off after reading reviews but just had an order delivered from UberEats to my hotel which was delivered quickly and food was fresh and delicious. No problems and would recommend.

Our order wasn’t dispatched for an hour and when we called for an update the woman was rude and asked ‘can I speak to someone english’ due to not understanding a Liverpool accent. When called again she reaponded aggressively and in a patronising way. We’re still waiting for our food an hour and 15 later.

Food was probably the best Chinese takeaway I’ve tried in G31 It’s really hard to find a good takeaway on/near duke street but this one is great Delivery driver forgot my irn bru but the woman on the phone was very polite and helpful so over all very good experience:)

Best salt and pepper chips in all the land

Really disappointed, when the current owners took over we tried several dishes and were pleasantly surprised, they were all lovely, but recently it seems they have either changed their supplier or chef, but one by one our choices are getting less, stodgy rice, over cooked tasteless chicken, hard chips, sorry but disappointed
