We stopped for a cup of tea and stayed for lunch. Lovely food, great service, loved the decor and ambience. Fabulous location right on the beach ⛱️

Fab location especially when the sun shines and been many times-visited for breakfast, and baguettes as always very tasty and good value-not so the full English with single egg, sausage, hash brown, bacon rasher etc- with option to pay for' extras'- was a bit underwhelming-charge £12 and make it a good value full breakfast!

A lovely spot on the shingle beach. Eat in or picnic tables outside. Amazing fresh fish. The calamari was the best I've ever tasted. Great fresh milkshakes. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly.

I arrived at 9.15 am on a Sunday for breakfast as I was told that they get busy later on in the morning. I ordered the full English from a reduced Sunday menu as the regular chef was absent. The food was ok but could have done with larger portions........1 x sausage, 1 x portobello mushroom, 1 x stringy rasher of bacon, 1 x egg, 1x hash brown, beans and toast for a tenner does not constitute particularly good value for money as far as I'm concerned. Nice location and ambience though. I noticed customers who arrived later were waiting a long time to be served so early arrival is definitely recommended.

First visit but won't be the last. Really fancied a dressed crab but not available. Had to settle for a scallop and bacon baguette. Oh wow, it was good. Driving so had it with a cup of tea. Friendly service, great food.

Sit out seating on a pebble beach watching the view of the sea and view. Great place to have a bite, with fab fish and chips and good variety of other dishes. Enjoyed lunch inside today, as little chilly, but inside is very quirky with lots of posters and signs on the wall which are comical and philosophical. It’s a friendly place and serves food quite quickly. Could have slightly better garnish but no complaints here. Few more varieties of fish such as large king prawns and mules etc would also be nice as they have an adjoining fresh fish market shop. This is a great fun place, some music would be lovely too.

Visited on motorbikes as a couple on a Monday, parking easy but can imagine it could get busy at weekends, you have to queue at the side door we got it wrong and had a little telling off 😉 but with all our bike gear wasn’t sure how it worked but we’ll know for next time, ate outside quick service and lovely food, we had a Lazy Muffin and a Bacon and Scallop Baguette and both where lovely, good quality produce will bring us here again 😊

Was told the food here was great. Perhaps it is. Came in the side door to order as directed and was ignored while the server seemed more interested in chewing the fat with someone it sounded like they knew. We were the only two people in. Eventually left as I didn’t know how long I was going to have to wait and felt it was a bit rude being completely ignored.

Cracking location, quirky inside and great seating outside. Greeted by a fabulous display of cakes. Choice of hot and cold drinks. People were saying they really enjoyed their breakfasts. We only for found by chance and had a brew. Staff really friendly. Clean and tidy. Dog friendly outside.

Unfortunately the Lazy Shack fell far below all decent standards of welcome and hospitality at my visit. The manager was pretentious, abrasive and dogmatic when I shared my concern about the free publication she advocates customers read and takeaway. The publication openly endorses extreme far right views, uninformed behaviours including anti ALL vaccines, and multiple unproven concepts (this said it features adverts from utterly quack therapies!). Whilst it is obviously sound and normal to personally look for evidence for views/behaviours/therapies, these are dangerous ideas to advocate and give the false impression. the manager knows best for the public - she/they do not know and cannot know. The drinks were hot, the food routine, but the associated dangerous practices mean the ‘reasonably educated me + friends’ will never return whilst the Shack is managed this way.

I have eaten here a few times with friends , it’s a cute little cafe on the beach. Cosy in winter and equally nice in summer. Food is normal cafe stuff which is perfectly nice and dog friendly too.

I purchased lobster, crab and steak last Friday for a celebration meal. I had a long discussion with the fishmonger who reassured me if there was any problem to keep my reciept - which i did. When unpacking the dressed lobster and crab the following evening the overwelming smell of ammonia filled the kitchen. The crab and lobsters were spoiled and inedible. They were put in the bin (outside) due to the smell. I work full time and returned to the lazy shack the following friday (1st opportunity) to request a refund. The co owner initially apologised for the situation and prepared to give me my refund. I thought this "is why im happy to pay top dollar for their produce" . He watched my video that I'd taken as proof of distroying the items. He then rang his father and had a less than discreet conversation with him. Following this he asked if cash was ok as he couldn't do card, i was fine with this. He left and returned with his sister who then told me they would not refund as it was too much money out of their till. I pointed out that it was my money but they were resolute that they would not refund me. Suggesting I could have recovered the lobster and crab from the bin and eaten them! All this despite me being a regular customer. I would not recommend the lazy shack due to risk of eating spoiled seafood and their appalling behaviour.

Love this place! The food is always good, reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful. The shop is great too with a great selection of fish, including shellfish. Could easily spend a fortune there. Wish they were open in the evening. In the summere, it would be lovely to eat on the beach.

Disappointingly short on chips for £3.50, didn't even cover the bottom of the box considering it's the cheapest thing on the order to bulk up the meal. Good few youngsters working who might want to re-think if they'd like to be in a customer facing role, but was tasty food, apart from being very little for the price.

Excellent food, friendly staff, and a pleasant ambience. A good place to visit. We live in Elham and eat here regularly. Parking is limited so park up on the High Street outside the school.
