Lovely pint. Despite being the only one of two customers. Something about a relaxed evening in a cold November without the pub being busy made it better, although it be nice if the lattice had customers, just probably not the right day or time of day, friendly bar staff and good price for Carlsburg. 4 out of 5

We had been recommended to have lunch there - but were very disappointed with the entire experience First there was only one person serving both the drinks and delivering the food orders , there was a lack of menus on the tables and we eventually found the lunchtime menu on another table, We ordered our meals , it took a while for the food to arrive and although it was edible it was very standard pub grub There were a few other tables where people had eaten- but the one bar staff seemed oblivious of the dishes left and certainly didn’t clean the tables after customers had left. In the meantime we were eating our lunch other people arrived but the one bar member had gone outside for his cigarette break- leaving customers waiting to order a drink. We finished our meal and when he eventually came to clear our plates he asked if everything was okay- a bit late to say the least. 2 of our party have served in the hospitality industry and were told that you should approach the customers during the meal to enquire if anything was okay- as if not they can decide whether or not to pay also when clearing tables ask if they would like anything else- a dessert maybe ??( an opportunity to upsell ) All in all we won’t be rushing back- Wetherspoon give better service!!

We picked the lattice as our next stop in local pub lunch club, where we visit different local pubs every month. Booked in advance as we’re always bigger than a normal table size, and lattice were great at catering for us! we pre-ordered our food on Friday afternoon for Monday lunch and everything arrived quickly and service was super friendly. They were also great at helping as much as they could with accessibility needs, as the majority of our group are visually impaired. Great feedback from all of the club members on the food, and the selection of drinks available- the smashing lattice burger was the favourite I think! Thank you for having us and it’s likely you’ll see us on a return trip soon!

Had lunch here with a colleague this week. Our table was right by a lovely log fire but the room was very cold and draughty despite this. The table was beautifully laid and we were made very welcome. My friend ordered the burger and it came with all the trimmings and looked delicious. I had pumpkin soup and ham hock terrine plus a side of amazing ‘fat’ chips - all lovely but...........why, oh why did they serve artificial spread instead of butter? It tasted really nasty. However, the experience was a good one and we would eat there again.

This is my go to pub in Lynn. It is very relaxed atmosphere and an amazing historic building. Me and my friends always go here first for night out and usually end up just staying here cause its so chilled out. Got food here a few times, it used to be better but they changed menus, still okay though as have deals on like curry night. Quite cheap prices for everything. Used to have the best staff sadly a lot left after the passing of Sam Cooper. He done quiz nights every Monday and it was always packed, the best time to come in but now things just are not the same. Everything is still nice, good atmosphere even though they do need to change a few light bulbs. This is a great place to go in winter when they have the fire on too.

This is a 15thC town house (that’s in the 1400s!!) just off Tuesday Market in Chapel Street. It is now justifiably a Grade II* Listed building. It was originally owned and used by the clerics of the nearby Chapel of St Nicholas. But starting in 1714 it became an Inn, then a Tavern and now a Pub! The building was called ‘Ye Olde Lattice Inn’ in 1714 but now is known as ‘The Lattice House’.

Regular visitors for good quality real ale. Had food for 1st time last night (26 Apr 2017), dreadful quality and worst food I have ever been served with. Pork burger had huge lump of gristle in and Ultimate BBQ burger was totally tasteless. Chips were cold and tasteless and the meal lacked drastically on presentation - didn't chance dessert. Was very cheap - £8.98 for 2 meals with a pint of real ale!!! But cheap for a reason. This pub cannot compete with The Globe which is always good. The Lattice House needs to up its game on the food front.

We waited about 30 - 45 mins for the food to arrive, when we got it it was stone cold. The waitress went back and reheated it (was quick so wasn't fresh and was just microwaved) My meal was tasteless, I had the burger with chilli and cheese, the chilli didn't even have much taste. My husband had the big burger with the chicken, onion rings and bacon in. His bun was rock hard. Chips weren't thoroughly cooked through.I will be avoiding this place in the future!

Went here for a family Sunday lunch as used to come to this pub years ago.It is a good boozer-the beer is good and theres a good choice (although the Adnams IPA was off), It's a great building and it has a nice atmosphere, though make sure you dont go in the locals bar to the right of the entrance opposite the car park (!), HOWEVER, the service, even for the drinks was very poor. The bar maid threw a hissy fit because we wanted to split the bill between the three families. And the food, well! Most of us went for the Roast beef and horseradish Sunday roast-on the basis that roasts are usually OK. I think the meat was pre-sliced and so was tasteless. The veg was actually not too bad but it was overall a parody of a Sunday roast!Perhaps it was to be expected that the bar maid of a nervous disposition was quite unable to supply the promised horse radish, and took it as a personal affront that we even asked for it.Kings Lynn is a town that's struggling to maintain its historic and interesting centre-the experience we had the Lattice House is just a symptom of this.

Formerly a Wetherspoon's, it is now part of the Hawthorn group, but it would be hard to tell without a close look. The menus is cheap and cheerful and the drinks range has a selection of cask beer. The big issue is the service, which can be very slow. It is not really the fault of the staff, who are pleasant and helpful, but are forever running around between the bars to pour drinks or use the tills. More staff might help, clearing tables and delivering food, but I think trade will slowly eke away unless this issue is addressed. If you are patient enough, the beer is fine and there is a good selection. The food is a typical pub menu where turnover is preferably to quality.

When we lived in the area several years ago, we were regulars at this pub and used to bring our friends and family. We returned for the first time between Christmas and New Years this year and it has changed for the worse. Sadly, our last memory would be quite an unpleasant one... The place was almost empty, looked a bit run down, the food was slopped together on the plate with no real care and when you could find staff (that wasn't in the back chatting amongst themselves) they were extremely rude. We should have just gotten up and left but stuck it out for old time sake. We won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone anymore.

My boyfriend and I visited on a bank holiday thought we would give the food a try since I was starving mid sale shopping, wasn't overly busy the issue was they were severely understaffed which was a severe oversight by management (not blaming the staff because I know it's not their fault) but a 20 minute wait for drinks and over an hour wait for food is awful, also the food was a bit simple compared to when it was a spoons ( e.g. No lettuce or trimmings on burgers), definitely not rushing back

I ordered steak medium and that was supplied rare at best , peas cold as was my daughters to , The food is certainly not up to the standard that used to be here and at other Weatherspoon pubs. Have visited this excellent town centre pub dozens of times & have never had a bad meal, including the recent visit earlier this week.....but the place could do with at least 1 more member of staff to offer a hand to the poor lass who was chasing her tail flitting between both bars whilst also serving food to customers.Such a shame they're clearly scrimping on staff to obviously keep costs down/profitabilty up, because in the end the dirty tables & frustrating wait at the bar for drinks/food will rebound on them as folks migrate to other establishments.I doubt folks would mind coughing up an extra few pence or two on a drink/food to ensure faster service & clean tables/floors. Seems to be a common theme these days, which is also a very disappointing one.

I used to come here quite a lot when it was owned by Wetherspoons and it was probably the best pub in town. How things have quickly changed as soon as Wetherspoons sells it.Went in there for a quiet drink with my partner after attending an event and how I wish that I didn't. It was understaffed and the service that was given was appalling. I waited for about 20 minutes to get a drink. I finally got served by what I believe was the duty manager and her lack of customer service skills were apparent. I got asked for ID and then asked who the other drink was for. I stated that it was for my partner and was rudely told that she had to be present and that I couldn't be served. I asked if I could pay for the drinks now instead of waiting in the queue again and leave them at the bar, which I could then fetch my partner to be ID. The member of staff bluntly said no and went to serve someone else. I reluctantly fetched my partner which caused us to loose our table. We then waited in the queue again and was rudely ignored when we got close to the bar. We then decided to leave because we had enough. It's such a shame as it used to be a really nice pub. I have spoken to a few people and they have all had bad experiences here recently. I won't be returning here again.

Arrived on a Saturday evening at 8pm on 30th July 2016.We have visited every year for sometime and look forward to it was one of my favourite Pubs.Firstly there was no Real Ale available, the Pub was short staffed the bar area was messy. After some wait we ordered a Lager and a cider,ok not cheap but not too pricey either. The menu looked like a smaller version of the Wetherspoon Pub it once was before being sold.Food very average, cheap but average.Upstairs has a nice area to eat with a bar,BUT the bar was closed, yes on a Saturday,By 10pm it was getting really chilly inside(all doors and winsows wide open)..A little later my companion went outside for a smoke I went to the toilet, when I came back my full pint had vanished....That was it,cold no beer went back to our Kings Lynn hotel.I didn't know Wetherspoon had sold the Pub ,it was always so nice but not anymore.Poor service, not very clean ,no Real Ale till later, had problems pouring that,so didn't bother.I for one will not be returning,POOR at best.emailed company, but never got a reply!!

We went here for a steak night still thinking it was a Weatherspoon's, that was the biggest mistake we've made to date. The menus looked different but we didn't actually suss it out until after we ordered the food . . . . Huge lumps of gristle in the steak is not we like paying for - so we complained and got our money back :)We wouldn't bother again, such a shame as it use to be a great pub :(

Living in Lynn this is a place I've been to a load of times. Until very recently it was a Wetherspoon's pub and though wasn't perfect I never had reason for complaint. food was decent for the price and the pub has always been a great place to hang out. It still is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink but the food has gone backwards and risen in price. I've had a couple of meals in there since it changed hands and I won't be back for food. I just isn't as good as it use to be and the price increase just makes it even more of a disappointment. If you want to nice pub with character to hang with some friends for a drink, go ahead, but for food I would avoid it. Plenty of better places near by.

Cheap beer and lovely building. Staff were a bit slow, but very polite when you did get served! Good value for money.

The pub has an enclosed beer garden at the back, that is good for children, although it was small and difficult to get away from smokers. We both had a pint of cola. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and prices reasonable

Our starters of chicken strips and King prawns came out very prompt and was very tasty but our mains....we waited over half an hour after complaining to the manager he informed us that he had asked them to be cooked again as he wasn't satisfied with the first offering ( I think they had been left under the warmer since the starters had gone out) our fajita burgers finally arrived and I wish they hadn't. I basically received a piece of chicken with guacamole and sour cream, there was absolutely no fajita flavour at all

The food in the past under the Weathrspoons banner was always very good as was the service, last night the food was aweful and the service was as well, I stood waiting to be served at the bar for 15 mins there was no one at the bar. I must say its the first time under the Hawthorn name and it will be the last!

On a previous visit I liked The Lattice House as it was more peaceful and relaxing than other Wetherspoons' pubs. Now it's under the Hawthorne Leisure banner and based on this visit it's even better. The place was clean, tidy and the staff were friendly and on the ball. It was Wednesday so there was a chicken theme to the lunch menu. I opted for Wexford Chicken, which came with a peppercorn sauce, mushrooms, peas and chips. Together with a pint of Fosters this came to just under £7. A really enjoyable meal and I will definitely visit again.

Am told that there has been a change of management at this place and boy doesnt it show. Staff were very surly. For one young girl everything was clearly an effort, lots of sighing and a 'hard done by' attitude, stomping of feet and swearing under her breath. More interested in her colleagues and gossip. Food was rather appalling too. Looks like there has been a change in menu and this obviously comes with change of suppliers. Had a very straightforward burger, but this was so dry and tasteless and had two ingredients, that were stated on menu, missing. It also appears that their 'house wine' that is on tap is now not included with your meal. Instead a glass of vinegar is served. May I make a suggestion about the access door to the patio area out the back ... would be far nicer for your customers that sit at that end of the restaurant if the door did not bang each time it was used. Not very pleasant to hear each time a fellow customer exits for a cigarette. This is not the first time I have visited The Lattice House, but it is the first time I have had cause to share my experience.

Well done Hawthorne Leisure Pubs! My husband & I have just eaten at this pub today (15.5.2016) and what a difference with the new ownership/management. We last visited this place 10 days ago, whilst it was still under the Wetherspoon ownership - it was a disgrace. The food was awful, tables, chairs and surrounding areas were absolutely filthy but what really capped it all was a group of about 8 adults sitting at the next table. They had obviously been in there drinking for some considerable time and were very much the worse for wear. Their language was foul and the topic of conversation was disgusting, especially for the people who were sitting around eating and having to listen. It was quite obvious that the bar staff could also hear but nothing was done to remedy the situation. We were appalled and couldn't get out of there quick enough. What a difference today - many of the chairs have been recovered and tables are sparkly clean - in fact staff were still busy cleaning whilst we were there. The food was lovely and great news - they have re-introduced the good old Sunday roast! It was really tasty and generous portions. I overheard one of the staff bemoaning the fact that it was so quiet and there were very few customers around. May I say don't lose heart - the public will return once word gets around about the new ownership and may I suggest a couple of banners on the outside of the building, advertising the return of the Sunday roast - this will almost certainly entice people in. Good luck!

Visited Kings Lynn and popped into this Wetherspoons, one of two here, just for coffee. There are free refills until 2pm but the coffee is good and reasonably priced anyway. Service was good as was the coffee and we enjoyed a well earned break in a lovely old interesting building. We will return next time we visit Kings Lynn.

Great food but absolutely dreadful service. Few customers but very slow to take orders and deliver drinks. Very sad as it let's itself down by the service and waiting time.

Probably my worst WS meal ever. 3 sausages almost burnt, they were tasteless and well overcooked which I said to the server who grinned at me. The chips as usual most were hard and inedible, peas hard. Served in a bowl with gravy all over the chips. WS has had a problem with hard chips for months, I have complained to staff and emailed head office to no avail. Thats it I AM NOT eating at a WS any more.

Ignore this place visited Bank Holiday Monday. Bad atmosphere no welcome and then 2 awful cappuccinos. Food average and very poor service even witnessed 2 examples of rudeness to customers.

Two adults and two dogs enjoyed our weekend at the GTI. From arrival, the personalised touches really made for a memorable experience- homemade cakes, gin and tonic in the suite, relaxed but efficient service and delightfully presented accommodation. The pub and restaurant is wonderful, the food is exceptional. The service was wonderfully attentive and relaxed, the prices were good value. We ate in the restaurant and the pub, both menus were superb. We visited beaches, ran around the Downs, shopped in Burnham Market and Thornham Farm shops.
