Delicious food which in my opinion is very reasonably priced for the quality of ingredients. Coffee was perfect. The cafe setting and interior is gorgeous. and they are very welcoming to our young children. It’s fab to be able to go somewhere that the children will enjoy but is still a lovely, sophisticated place for the adults to appreciate!

Running out of Jacket potatoes just after 12 today is unacceptable. If you like screaming kids running around your table while you're eating outside this is for you. No real 'normal' items on the menu and what is there is very expensive for just us two today we could have had two trips for lunch to Wetherspoons. Needless to say won't be going again to The Larch Barn

A massive disappointment. We have been going here for years now, since it first opened and it has always had a good menu and great for children with the playground. Mainly snack type menu but always with at least one good lunch option. Having arranged to meet up with family on Friday we arrived to find the place had changed hands with limited opening times and a very much reduced menu. Mainly sandwiches and their amazing and unbeatable panins were no longer available. Staff were cheerful and they have opened the kitchen up to view which obviously cost and is not necessary especially when times are hard. Sadly it can only go one way and that is down unless they buck up their ideas and menu again..

So disappointed. The room was cold and there was no noise absorption. The soup was advertised as vegetable but turned out to be a spicy red pepper. The toasted cheese sandwich was only warm, hard, bland and undercooked. The tuna baked potato was underwhelming. Perhaps a breakfast visit would have been better. No our day.

The staff were really friendly and helpful but the food was a huge disappointment. My friend and I ordered avocado and egg on toast. They didn’t do poached egg so we had to have scrambled. Upon arrival we had a warm, friendly welcome, the atmosphere was calm and inviting. Were able to choose our own table that fit our needs well (with a livley toddler, we wanted to be sat somewhere with more room and away from other diners) We ordered fish and chips, burger and as my little one is fussy the chef was happy to make her some chicken nuggets (not on the menu). All staff were very friendly and helpful (even when I went back to ask for some chocolate to be added to the babyccino for our fussy diner, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and plentyfull and looked very good when brought out to us. Unfortunatley due to the weather it was not safe for our child to play on the incredible play area...so will hopefully be able to next time! (I love the fact that The Larch Barn is literally the only place with such a good outdoor play area in the whole of south shropshire for us parents to dine out!) Thank you all for making our time out as a family enjoyable and stress free. Will be visiting again soon! :)

We contacted The Larch Barn to enquire as to whether they could do an afternoon tea to go and they didn’t disappoint. The food was beautifully presented and plentiful. There was a fantastic mix of sandwich fillings in a mixture of fresh rolls with salad and crisps. The cakes and scones were delicious and very generous in size. We will definitely be back with family to eat and can’t thank the staff enough for being so brilliant and organised to allow us to surprise our family members for their birthday. Thank you!

We decided on The Larch Barn as the venue for our daughters 1st birthday. Sam and the staff went above and beyond from arranging the menu for afternoon tea through to sourcing a gazebo last minute when their one they had put up blew away the night before the party! The service and attention to detail from all the staff was second to none. We were in the garden due to COVID regulations. The view is spectacular and the children all loved the well equipped play area. The food was delicious , plentiful and beautifully made. We left very full and with leftovers too! I cannot thank Sam and the team enough for helping make our daughters birthday celebration the success it was! Thank you again so much for a wonderful afternoon.

Having checked the website first to make sure dogs were welcome, we then drove for forty minutes to have lunch At The Larch Barn. However on arrival we were told that dogs couldn’t be taken in at the moment due to the Covid restrictions. I understand why it may be a problem due to restricted space, but is it really too difficult to put a note to that effect on the website?Luckily a dog friendly pub in Cleobury Mortimer made the journey worthwhile.

I posted this review a week ago, but it was reported as inappropriate and removed and a counter review posted. In the interests of transparency for other visitors, I’ve posted it again...As a party of three, we visited here for the first time mid August on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Our first impression was a beautiful location, but there was no friendly smile or welcome, even though I said it was our first visit. It wasn’t obvious how to order as a table had been laid out with menus and a one-way system put in place so I had to ask for help rather than being acknowledged on entry. I asked what savoury vegetarian gluten free options were available and was told just carrot cake and assured it was gluten free. I asked again for savoury and was told to read the menu...which said to ask the staff. To save further embarrassment, we took a seat in the covered area. The only option other than a cheese and bean jacket potato was a cheese sandwich so we ordered three of those, one on gluten free bread. When we asked for the carrot cake the staff still looked confused so I asked them to check it was gluten free but it turns out it was just vegan. That was a near miss but no apology or sign of what that could have meant. There were no fresh gluten free cakes and we were just offered an already open clingfilm wrapped lemon cake, a Co-0p Rocky Road slice or slice of shop bought chocolate cake again from the supermarket, We politely declined as it’s not what you go to fresh cafe for - to be served a slice of supermarket cake at top fresh homemade prices. The Paninis came as sandwiches on toasted buns rather than panini bread and came with lettuce and coleslaw sides and made a nice, if very dry lunch, but with three small canned soft drinks the bill came to £27.50 which is extortionate, particularly as there was no cake. The whole experience was embarrassing and the staff seemed not only confused about allergens, but treated others the same way, indifferent and giving the impression they wanted to be elsewhere and we heard echoes of that at the next table. It’s a shame as being new locals, we really wanted to love the place and find a good place to have coffee and cake with friends. Maybe a ‘goodbye and thank you’ would have gone some way to helping, but we were just stared at on the way out too.

As a couple we decided to visit on recommendation of a neighbour to have a look at plants and have tea and cake. We walked up to the cafe counter and the assistant was busy making up and order. Other staff were bringing in used crockery etc. We waited patiently and were clearly seen by at least 3 staff to be doing so. Nigh on 10 minutes later we simply walked out questioning if we were invisible. All it would have taken was polite acknowledgement that we were there with perhaps a sorry your being kept waiting? Or maybe noting what we wanted with a promise to let us know when ready. At a time when businesses and employees are struggling you would think our patronage would be welcome? Or is it simply that young persons have no manners these days?

Unfortunately the food here has really gone down. I have been telling everyone how nice it is (including on Trip Advisor) but when we visited for my Birthday on 17th Jan we were served almost cold jacket potatoes, the tuna was good but the baked beans and cheese were all stone cold. It would have been nice to have butter on the jackets which would have improved the flavour. Seemed so different from our previous visits.

Attended an Afternoon For my sisters hen party (same as the lady below so please ignore her stupidly low review). Everyone at the Larch barn couldn’t of been more helpful, nothing was to much for them! They allowed us to come earlier in the day and set up everything. The choice on the sandwiches were so extensive everyone was lost for choice. The cake portions were generous and you could tell that they cared for freshness as it melted in your mouth! They did a selection of deli meats and that went down a treat! So much food that people were getting doggy bags and taking it home with them and all for the low price of £12.95! I advise absolutely everyone to try this place out!

Disappointed. We were ignored by the two young girls for quite a few minutes when we first walked in; I know they were quite busy but that is no excuse for not even acknowledging that we were waiting. We waited a long time sat at the table for our cake and drinks to arrive. We asked for a child's hot chocolate which was not too hot and were told that was fine, but when it eventually arrived it was scalding hot. It also tasted like it was made with instant chocolate and water. The chocolate cake itself was very dry with too much frosting. The scone, jam and cream was overpriced for £3.50 - the scone was dry and rather than clotted or even whipped cream, it was served with squirty cream from a can! The best thing was the carrot cake but unfortunately the whole experience was too unpleasant to be overcome with that.

Recently there have been some new members of staff and all are wonderful, kind and friendly- nothing is to much trouble. The carrot cake tray bake is to die for. They do breakfasts and light meals too. You also have the opportunity to browse and purchase a few plants within

A lovely cafe with a stunning view of Brown Clee and Titterstone Clee Hills. The service is excellent and the homemade cake is delicious (and a special bargain if you go on a Wednesday). I also went home with a couple of lovely plants. A very new restaurant but well established with loads of potential.

Went for lunch with daughter in law and infant granddaughter. The views are spectacular and the decor and ambience is tasteful and comfortable. There were child seats and colouring to keep children amused. The food was lovely. I had a tasty frittatta with goats cheese and good selection of salads. The coffee was good. Enjoyed it so much we went back for coffee and cake and the coffee cake was superb. There's a good selection of plants to browse too. Can recommend and would definitely return.

Went for lunch with family after seeing the advert in The Rock and District News and we were most impressed. We had the warmest welcome and the food was absolutely lovely. I had "a daily special", which was a green bean, asparagus, mushroom and cheese frittata. It smelt wonderful as just out of the oven and was delicious. All served with dressed leaves, coleslaw and couscous - all smashing. The barn buildings are very pleasant, with wonderful views over to the Clee Hills. The décor is very tasteful and little touches, such as iced water that you can help yourself to, create a lovely ambiance. Highly recommended.

Not long opened but have visited multiple times already with different friends. Very inviting, stylish interior, wonderful views and outside seating area. Great staff, great service, good choice of food and usually a gluten free option available. Have bought a selection of garden plants and also greetings cards which complement the art on display, also artists prints on sale. The frittata on offer will definitely be my next purchase, looks delicious.

What a great place for coffee or lunch, beautiful views, friendly and attentive staff and delicious food. We’ve been several times since it opened and always end up taking an array of plants home too. The plant shop is a great addition and I’m sure this will become a regular meeting place with friends and family. Already looking forward to hot chocolate by the log burner whilst admiring the snow capped views when winter arrives! Highly recommend a visit...

We’ve visited on two occasions, bought quality plants on both visits, super selection of cake and hot drinks trying to work my way through the menu so we will be visiting often! All very reasonably priced for the quality. Staff very helpful and friendly, enjoyed the view which you can see from both inside and out. Worth a visit to this little gem, everyone I know that has been has returned, to me that says it all.

I have now visited this place more than once since they have opened, and would go every day if I could!! The views are breathtaking, and the coffee is excellent, but I must say its the home made cakes that do it!! They are scrumptious, and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you... I would certainly recommend it, because once you go, you will keep going! Excellent.... :

I have been here for lunch several times since it's been open and I can highly recommend. The cakes are especially fabulous! It is a gorgeous setting to sit outside and inside is very tastefully decorated. Becoming a firm favourite with myself and my friends!

I found this little gem when out with friends recently, we stopped by for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. The weather was lovely and sunny, so we were able to sit outside and take in the beautiful views. We will definitely be back as the cakes were out of this world. Lovely plant centre too, we bought some pretty bedding plants.

I have visited this cafe several times now since it opened, and every time the cappuccinos were perfect and the cakes absolutely delicious. The outdoor seating area is lovely, with beautiful views all around, but the indoor areas are also very relaxing and I could spend hours there. The staff are always very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

We headed to Dee Dee's firstly because it is situated within The Range store, where we happened to be browsing, and secondly, because it advertised that it was serving Costa Coffee. We were killing time, waiting for a relative to undergo a hospital appointment, but we waited a LONG time to be served. I actually began to time it on my watch, silly I know, but I was beginning to think that we would have to ditch our idea of a coffee and head back to the hospital. In the end, we waited a little over 18 minutes to be served. Yes, the coffee was Costa, but not served Barista style, more of the kind of machine one finds in a buffet breakfast at a hotel, select your drink, press the appropriate button and the machine dispenses the drink. The staff seemed to be rushed off their feet, with one young lady taking orders and delivering coffees and another, older and more experienced lady putting together the food orders. One felt for them, as they were clearly understaffed and rushed off their feet. Yet, being British, we all stood there and queued! Costa coffee is okay, not nearly as special as it would like to think, but we got what we paid for. The seating area was nicely laid out, sufficient space between tables, but it was all rather canteen, rather than a coffee / cafe /bistro experience. The management should really look at their staffing levels and help out the current members, who are doing their best.

A really good find close to the Park & Ride bus stop at the top of town. Service was welcoming and helpful (husband has some disability) which extended to our dog. A small breakfast for £6 (choose 3 items) was perfect as was the coffee. Lactose intolerance catered for without difficulty. We’ll be back.

Found by accident while out driving around the area. Popped in for a quick lunch about 2.30. Quits a few people in there. Burger and chips were nice. Coffee was good. Toilet was clean also. Would be a good destination if it wasn't pouring with rain as could sit outside.

not much occuring but the beer is nice and the staff pleasant. I was the only one in so not much atmosphere but chilled out. The young guy in glasses on the bar was lovely but didn't know much about the beer really
