Excellent service, and a really good choice of dishes on the menu. Food was lovely, really tasty. Beer was also very good. Really lovely rooms as well, if you wanted an overnight stay

We’ve just enjoyed the ‘Low & Slow’ supper club night - gorgeous food with intense flavour, complimented very well by the accompanying wine flight. A copy of the menu & wines would have been helpful but each course was a lovely surprise instead! Our dietary requirements were no problem & incorporated seamlessly - big well done to all concerned.

Staff where very polite friendly and efficient. Beautiful pub, very clean, But the food was just okay, wine sauce gravy was like water, 1/2 a carrot and parsnip, and a pile if cabbage, 3 Roast potatoes and the cauliflower cheese that was over £5 was missing the cheese, The Beef was lovely and moist but just 1 slice looked like two slice but was folded in half, The Starter was lovely and tasty, stem Broccoli, with butter nut and chim churi, So Sad i was expecting more.

I came here with my dad recently and it was such an incredible meal! The food was amazing absolutely no faults with the whole experience.. will be back again very soon! Chefs and waiting team are 10/10.

Great welcome , very welcoming ! Duck parfait exceptional and a great serving for me . Monkfish tandoori style very dry and wouldn’t have again . Pork belly , beyond cooked, burnt and dry. A very sad outcome for a pig that gave its life to feed us . Roast chicken boiled not roasted chicken skin slimy and slippery . A great shame for something so easy ! Chose not to have a dessert . Cash beer exceptionally good ., Would I return …No . Reasons Christmas Red cabbage jus underneath the roast potatoes . Yorkshire puddings uppers we’re great and soggy bottoms soaked with beef dripping . Would I eat there again ….No Would i drink there again .. hell yes ,cask beer is very very well kept Chose not to

We have had excellent meals here previously but today was a real disappointment. We waited 70minutes for our food and when it arrived it was very poor. My roast chicken was served without the Yorkshire pudding and looked anaemic. The one piece of carrot and parsnip and three pieces of roast potatoes were undercooked and there was hardly any green veg. My partner’s Celeriac main was not good either. Such a shame as it is a nice venue ☹️ and we are both Butcombe Loyalty members

A last minute decision to try this country pub and what a treat! Great modern set up inside with an olde world feeling and a great atmosphere. Service was excellent and you could see and hear the great work of the chef and the team in the open plan kitchen. Food was exceptional all praise to the chef (who looked ridiculously young but clearly knew what he was doing. So, had the monkfish tail as a starter - great presentation, amazing taste. And the main Sunday lunches: one beef and one pork (with perfect crackling)…. Both perfect, great veg. We were completely full, not even room for a coffee or a dessert! Guinness was spot on as was the Rose from Provence…. All made for a 6* Sunday lunch - we’ll be back! Thanks to all the team and the chef!

We were with a party of 28, all of whom pre-ordered their food weeks in advance. Despite this we were waiting for 90 minutes before the food came. My son and myself ordered a gluten free breakfast and asked to substitute the items that weren't gluten free and / or we didn't want. I ended up with 2 rashers of bacon, a minute hash brown, a tiny pot of beans that tasted like soup and a bread roll and was still charged £15.95, the same as everyone else who had the full non gluten free breakfast. A 10% service charge was also added despite the huge delay. On the plus side, the staff were lovely and the pub has a great atmosphere but the food is hugely over-priced. Disappointed.

We were here to celebrate my late Dad’s 80th birthday. Table of 5 and two dogs!!! We had an amazing meal, we weren’t rushed, loved everything from start to finish. The restaurant is in the middle of us in Devon and my sister In Berkshire, so we WILL be back!!!!!!

Nice country pub, close to the airport. Our first impression on being shown our room was wow. Room was very nice, although could have done with a brighter light. Booked the room over six months ago so missed out on the offer of room and money off Sunday dinner voucher, which was a shame. Dinner was very good, but after checking the bill I was charged for 3 courses not 2 for both of us, my fault should have checked at the time. Breakfast was at 8am and was a tad rushed but was tasty. Very good but expensive.

Have stayed in a few of the Butcombe pubs and this so far is one of the best. Booked the Sunday saver which gives you B&B plus a contribution towards lunch or dinner on the Sunday which makes it a very good deal. The welcome and service we received was faultless with a genuinely warm attitude which considering how busy the pub was was a credit to all the staff and management. The food was excellent as was the wine plus of course the Butcombe ales! Breakfast the following morning was superb also with copious cups of fresh coffee. The rooms were certainly boutique and had everything you could need for a good nights sleep. Near to Bristol airport (c.5 miles) we will be back

We have had two consecutive Sunday lunches recently and both times, the meal was delicious. The roast beef was very tender and all the veg, well cooked. The cheese soufflé starter was great! Although very busy (a good sign in itself) service was good and very pleasant. Compliments to chefs and all serving staff.

We stayed for 1 night prior to our flight, with a Sunday Sleepover. Wow, what amazing value! Our room was warm and cozy, with complimentary prosecco in the fridge. A well stocked refreshments tray, toiletries, etc. The deal we had gave us £50 towards a meal, we had the most amazing Sunday Roast in the evening. Breakfast the following day was to die for, gorgeous full English for my husband, poached eggs, mashed avocado and smoky bacon for me. Really lovely old pub, fabulous atmosphere and wonderful staff, a truly great experience, thanks to you all.

We had a really nice Sunday lunch with family and friends. Nice menu and the food was hot , with a generous jug of hot gravy. The staff were very attentive and obliging, we will definitely recommend and we will be back .

I live locally & had Canadian friends visiting so thought they'd enjoy a village pub lunch. I hadn't been there for ages but it used to be good.

We have visited the Langford several times before and classed it as an above average pub restaurant. This prompted us to take a party of eight recently to avoid the Balloon Fiesta traffic. The main meal was the usual satisfactory fare although the steak sauce was served late. However, the deserts were a mixture of yummmy and poor. My wife and I ordered profiteroles with clotted cream and but this consists of 5 or so Asda type profiteroles and some sort of squirty cream. I complained when I paid the bill and the assistant played away with the till and said no problem. Thinking they had been deducted from the bill I paid. A quick run though this morning revealed that they had not. Despite a well cooked meal unfortunately it is incidents like this which stick in the memory when it comes to recommendations

Avoid Avoid Avoid....the most awful Sunday lunch we 've ever had and we 've had a lot! Two of us had beef two had lamb. Hard tough great chumps of meat.When you finally managed to cut it, you chewed and chewed and chewed. Awful. The so say roast potatoes had not glimpsed an oven. We think boiled then flashed on some hot oil maybe. But no colour on them. Veg was very poor. Some floppy green beans a small token gesture of cauliflower and few sliced carrots that were hard. Awful. The only good thing on the plates was the Yorkshire puddings.You could even see other people pulling meat out of their mouths as it was almost inedible. We then stupidly went for a dessert as were still so hungry. Apple pie on the special board. Why did we punish ourselves further? A home made Apple pie thin flaky pastry all microwaved to perfection... yuk gooey wet soft lifeless pastry with possibly tinned apples inside. So it's with regret to give such a terrible review but it was our experience today. We shall never return. Such a beautiful quaint country pub but boy does the food let it down. I'm just an ordinary person who enjoys good food and hate bein ripped off for sub standard food.

Visited after having give the restaurant a miss for a few years. New Owner and new Chef. Menu limited but covered every type of food. We requested real home made onion rings - not on the menu and the chef cooked them for us.At last a restaurant that serves real chips not frozen but peeled cut and deep fried. Exceptional and unusual.The food was hot, cooked fresh and served in a timely manner.The coleslaw was not to our taste but everything else was excellent. We even ordered an additional starter after the rest were served and that was no problem,.We will visit again.

Been here a few times this year. Their new chef offers exceptional quality of food. Well presented and amazing value. Will definitely be coming here more often.

Era caro para lo que era la comida bastante mediocre. El personal parecía olvidar quiénes somos, así que teníamos que ir y nosotros orden después de una larga espera. Esto es una lástima porque en el pasado realmente disfrutamos comiendo allí como una familia. Interesting choices on the new menu, including some tapas specials all beautifully presented and well priced (3 items for £12) The scampi, calamari, and whitebait were cooked in a fine batter and obviously fresh. Service was quick and friendly and the portions were generous.

Mi hija tenía el hongo stroganoff que estaba aguada y absolutamente insípido. Mi hija tuvo una hamburguesa vegetal que era el mejor del grupo, pero como mi "triple "patatas fritas caseras eran apenas cocinadas una vez y sólido en el medio! Yo tenía una pila de pollo con queso. El queso había sido superficial y soldada en un trozo de goma. . . Me encanta la comida y puede comer de todo, pero este era espantoso. . El muchacho que servía era como una gota, no había papel higiénico en el Ladies y podíamos aquí el chef de sonar el timbre para ellos a recoger nuestra comida más y más, pero nadie reaccionó, me fui y conseguí que casi yo mismo! Prefiero comer en el aeropuerto para darle un sabroso, la comida en el futuro! Chocante! No podía llevar yo para quejarme ya que sólo quería salir y empezar nuestras vacaciones. . Nunca volveremos!

Don't miss the tasty roast on Sunday. It is good value, local, tasty meat and good selection of vegetables. The new owners have turned this place around. Friendly staff. Wish we lived nearer!!

We liked the building and pretty village, but the service and food,was poor. My wife's vegetables were cold and our friends triple cooked chips were undercooked and hard. We complained, but nothing was done or offered. We won't be returning.

Llamado aquí con un amigo que quería venir y quedé asombrado de lo bueno que la comida que nos dieron era, filete de atún que se derretía en la boca sobre una cama de verduras stir fry y fideos. Descubrimos que los nuevos propietarios habían comenzado ese mismo día! ! !

Me quedé muy decepcionado después de ver el restaurante habían dado cuatro estrellas. En una noche de viernes uno habría esperado un restaurante completo pero sólo tres mesas fueron tomadas. Mis compañeros de comedor nos sirven patatas fritas anémicos y el bistec era servido con sólo dos mitades de tomate. No hay otros vegetales o ensalada. Mi lasaña era insípida, en una salsa que pareciera aguadas sopas de tomate. Sin embargo, la fruta se diluyen parcialmente canjear la comida. El servicio era pobre y ciertamente no con una sonrisa. No creo que habrá una visita de vuelta.

A group of 12 of us had a lovely evening at The Langford in the food was absolutely superb and well presented I'd like to thank Claire and her staff for a wonderful evening everybody enjoyed it the food was reasonable price and the drinks as well so all fantastic time all welcome it was very clean and tidy and the atmosphere was brilliant had a good feedback from the whole group and the chef it's brilliant cooked all steaks to perfection so visit this lovely pub and restaurant you will be surprised lovely food on offer definitely 5 star

Hemos comido aquí varias veces a lo largo de los años, normalmente un domingo, cuando el asador ha sido siempre muy buena. Esta vez fue una ocasión especial, ya que la familia de América pero la comida era muy decepcionante. No me voy a decir nada más que eso, como espero que esta era sólo una noche, pero no creo que volveremos por un tiempo.

We went for Christmas meal with some of our friends tonight, we had excellent service,the food was brilliant, very reasonably priced and was served without any delays. A great experience, would defiantly go again.

This Restaurant has been a favourite of ours for some time.We have a wide local choice but this is the best.We recently visited for a Birthday Meal and were not disappointed.Our party of 4 all had different meals and each was great.Service was excellent.

Reservamos, la bienvenida fue muy profesional, llevaron a nuestra mesa ofrecieron una copa y presentado con los menús, opciones muy buenas, las comidas eran entregados rápidamente y de manera eficiente, eran perfectos muy bien presentado y preparado, seguido por una buena selección de dulces. Pedido el pescado y patatas fritas para llevar dando una hora antes que necesitábamos para recoger pero todavía no estaban listas cuando llegamos. Con ellos a casa nos parecieron bastante deficiente en comparación con otros locales de comida para llevar. Nos alegramos de encontrar este pub acogedor local después de que desanimen otra que intenta ser, pero falla (el arado en Wrington). Meal for family on Sat 30/16 3 out of 4 meals were very poor e.g sloppy lasagne, soggy chips.etc. Very pricey for the quality of food. Would not recommend to anyone. Also car park has only enough spaces for about 5 cars.

classy décor.......great food......olde woride atmosphere but modern a clever trick. Good service......Cameron Scott and Joe et al....friendly and efficient. We did not stay over this time....but I am sure the b and b facilities would be just as good, the place oozes class.

Tenía el asado de cordero asado los domingos, que en Libras era caro, y 10-45 sólo sirve como estándar o grande? Lo que sucedió con los apetitos más pequeñas para aquellos? Un acogedor pub de país escondido justo a la salida de la autopista A38, es un agradable lugar para parar por una pinta o comer un bocado. Hay un jardín de cerveza en el frente para el tiempo cálido y también un patio en la parte de atrás, aunque esto parecía ser un poco cerrado y espero que no utilizan la herrumbre en realidad antigua barbacoa para cocinar algo. Los jóvenes camareras todo parecía amable y servicial, incluso el que no podía operar hasta que ni la máquina de tarjeta, al menos mantuvo disculparse. Sólo la casera (presumiblemente) parecía tener una personalidad de agrio.

Visited this place a couple of times in the last two weeks. Had different meals each time. We were not hurried and the staff were attentive and friendly. Great selection on the specials board. Food was hot and very well cooked.

Cosy Inn with cottage type rooms recently added adjacent, which may be handy for people flying from Bristol airport a few miles nearby. We enjoyed Dinner in a cosy room with good menu choice.

Buena ubicación, a sólo unos kilómetros de la autopista M5. La suite familiar y encantador distribuidas en 2 plantas y amueblados con un alto nivel. El personal es muy amable y servicial.

Easy book and good service. Excellent choice of meals. Specials board pretty extensive. Fish and chips was very good. You really don't need the large fish as the standard is plenty big enough. Thorough enjoyable evening.

Reconnected with the Langford Inn when 7 friends shared a lunchtime meal. The waitresses we excellent and the atmosphere and food was good. Would recommend a visit.

Se llama aquí para el almuerzo en forma de South Devon un sábado ocupado esperando que podíamos conseguir una mesa. Pub estaba vacío! Tuve la esposa de Labrador, y tenían una baguette de pollo.

We ordered two breaded Brie & one mushroom with Stilton & cracked black pepper for starters, Brie was nice, my husbands mushrooms had only the very slightest taste of Stilton but an abundance of black pepper. For mains we ordered the venison, belly pork & faggots, faggots nice, venison nice, pork steak came rather than the belly, cider sauce very sweet, not so nice, veg served smelt/tasted of smoked fish, not nice, dauphinois potatoes the onion was not cooked fully & gave an unpleasant taste, not nice. When we said the wrong pork dish had been served the waitress did say they would replace but did not know how long it would be, as we already had the other orders our son said he would stay with what he had. When I went to pay I checked the bill to fine they had charged us for three starters & four mains, one being a £12.95 misalliance item, when asked what that was, we were asked if we had orderd the belly pork which we did but not get, why they thought it a good idea after making a hash of the order to try & charge us for an extra main I don't know. This is not cheap chain pub, I expected better service & food, over all very disappointed.

Quaint, good English country pub, the food was well recommended and didn't disappoint. Good selection of beers with a small beer garden at the front and another larger one at the back of the pub. The restaurant is located at the rear of the pub.

Los amigos estaban ciclismo de John í s'Groats a Land's End así que cogimos con ellos cerca y 9 de nosotros nos reunimos para cenar. en este pub/restaurante Dado que llegamos a una hora más tarde de lo planeado, habían sido muy paciente!

good food and polite staff and usually a good menu with some nice fish dishes , prices are sometimes a little higher for a pub ,parking can be a bit tight in the car park back again for sure though

Dos amigos y yo pasamos 7 horas llegar desde Penzance a Bristol después tailbacks enormes en la A30 y M5, y por desgracia perdimos nuestro vuelo. Nos tropezamos con esta 4.49 del lugar 10 minutos desde el aeropuerto, y me pareció encantador! El personal no podía haber sido más atento, entender nuestro apuro, y consiguió una habitación para nosotros, nos preparaban una bebida y nos dio los menús de comida. Decidimos que la comida era mejor que el de cualquiera de las vacaciones, el bistec fue increíble, y el tamaño de las porciones son enormes (después de 7 horas de viaje, nos las arreglamos para comer todo!) La habitación era tranquila, las camas eran cómodas, y la ducha refrescante en la mañana, incluso después de aproximadamente 4 horas. Lo recomiendo totalmente este hotel a cualquiera que esté buscando un lugar para parar antes volar, o incluso una noche romántica. No puedo agradecer al personal lo suficiente por lo bonito que fue para nosotros, fue uno de los puntos destacados de nuestras vacaciones! :)

grub genial caseras de pub. Una gran elección, con una comida y un ambiente encantador. Tuvimos una comida en nuestro camino al aeropuerto. Era un sábado por la noche y nos metieron en. Realmente una gran selección de comida. Nos gustó tanto que volvimos para el domingo asado en nuestro camino a casa de vacaciones. Muy buena relación calidad-precio

Era un domingo así que muchos optan por el domingo asado que parecía generosa como la comida dejaba la cocina; los platos estaban volviendo completamente vacío!

Mi pareja y yo nos dejó en, sentir mucha hambre, dirigieran el lunes de Semana Santa, y quedamos encantados de tener un lugar en el bar tradicional para una comida tradicional de bar. Las baguettes eran muy sabroso y abundante y venía con los adornos perfectos de ensalada y patatas fritas, justo lo que necesitábamos antes de un paseo por la tarde en el Black Down cercano. Evitamos el comedor ya que lo único que queríamos era algo rápido y sencillo pero parecía que llenan rápidamente durante nuestra corta estancia. No llegué a ver el jardín, que varias personas parecía estar entrando a través de. El personal era sencillo, atento y agradable, lo cual creo que es exactamente lo que quieres. Sin dejar de nuevo!

The food was superb! Ordered from the specials board, which was mainly fish dishes but you would have been happy to give paid twice the price given the quality. Great service too

Fuimos allí para el almuerzo de domingo con mi compañero Alistiair, mi hermana y su socio e hijo de Alistair , y su pareja. Teníamos las comidas principales diferentes, pero todo estaba muy bueno y abundante. Algunos de nosotros tuvimos un flan, y eran todos muy sabrosos.

Visitamos esta empresa a menudo y nunca he tenido una mala experiencia. El menú es amplio, con un gran número de especialidades del día siempre disponible también. Las raciones son grandes y de buena calidad. El personal es muy servicial y amable. pastel de pescado es imprescindible ... !!

A fine "Beef and Ale" pie with all the trimmings - supported by good service and good value. A pleasant short walk from Lower Stock Farm B&B; where I was staying

Recently dined here with my in laws and must say i was impressed yet again with the service the beer and most of all the food,,My steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were homemade,,my wife had the delicious Fish pie,,while my mother in law had seared sea bass,,and couldnt stop talking about how good it was,,My father in law had the Seared Duck Breast with Raspberry Jus,,,,,,,,,,Divine,,The children are absolutely catered for and welcomed with there own menu,,Daughter one had freshly battered cod with chips and beans,and Daughter two had her favourite Pizza,,,,We love dining at the Langford and have always been made to feel welcome and valued,,something Chained eateries just dont give,,A gem of a stop ..just off the A38,,Look for it and go there,,

Bags of choice, and always good quality. A 2 course special before 7.00, but if you only want 1 course, then plenty of choice and good value.

Visitamos este pub el sábado antes de la ultima, la comida era excepcional relación calidad-precio y una buena relación calidad-precio. El pub en sí es un poco alejado, pero bien merece la pena una visita.
