Considering how busy the pub was and how large our group was, very impressed with quality of food and service.

Had a great time last night celebrating my daughters 18th birthday. Food amazing and lovely staff members. Stayed for the pub quiz but hey ho we came last ha ha. Will definitely come again.

Always love the fold. Staff are lovely and friendly. Food and drink are spot on. Always a good night. Always a good sporting event on too. Really good for families as well

We had a fantastic New Year’s Eve at the Lancashire Fold really enjoyed the singer and the food and drinks were first class and the bar staff were excellent can’t recommend the Lancashire Fold highly enough many thanks to everyone involved in making it a memorable evening and fantastic atmosphere

i decided to take mum there as I used to live in the area and not been here for over 10 years. I ordered cottage pie with veg from the specials. Mum had a sandwich. We were not asked once during the meal was everything ok. When the girl collected the plates she said was all ok, I said that the veg was rock hard and tasteless and all i could manage was one carrot. She replied 'we get this all the time about the veg' and walked off. It was like faulty towers. I was speechless. I won't be going back.

We came for Christmas dinner and there were quite a few of us, service was quick, food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming. I also held my daughter’s christening here a few years ago and it was lovely then too.

Went for a Christmas meal here and had a lovely time! Service was wonderful, and I wanted to leave a review mainly to say thank you to the staff. Food was beautiful as well and I honestly think the white chocolate crème brûlée was the nicest dessert I've ever had. Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a lovely experience! Would definitely go again.

Nice pub. Been here a number or times. Foods standard like any bar, but the service was good and the atmosphere was friendly enough too. Can't fault it.

From the time of booking to the time we left - absolutely no complaints. Our pre-ordered food was exactly what we ordered, each meal served was delicious and came piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they accommodated every request we made, very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend the Lancashire Fold

Very surprised a Saturday night with a singer the place was rocking

Xmas dinner was amazing. The portion size was enough to feed two people. We had sticky toffee pudding with custard. Yummy.

As visitors from outside the area we took a chance on this pub based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. It’s a very welcoming pub with friendly staff, is clean and airy, has lots of nice areas to sit, and the food was great in both quality and choice. Highly recommended.

Was at a 70th last night what an amazing night landlady absolutely brilliant staff amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic live music 👍 and the crowd in there were so much fun looking to next time 😀😀

Its been almost 20 years since I've been here and things have certainly changed for the better. Everything about this place is worthy of five stars. Great service, great atmosphere, great value and absolutely wonderful food. I highly recommend it!

Large family lunch which included food and drinks and the staff were great as always. Never any issues with the food and are served in a timely manner. Would recommend to others for food and/or drinks.

So it was a Thursday, lunch time on a hot day so very quiet hence the atmosphere only getting 3 stars. Thw staff were young and friendly, we were not hungry so only had a starter but that was very good. Will definately go back and give it another go, then updat this review.

States on website food is served until 20:30, this wasn't the case when I went in on a Tuesday evening. Nice looking pub, staff were fine etc. Plenty of drinks options and lots of seating available.

My mates local, visited on a Friday after work and it was heaving. Nice atmosphere and a belting pint of Guinness

We (3 people) called at the Lancashire Fold this afternoon about 2pm for 3 meals and drinks. Although I wouldn’t say we were regulars, we have been there on many occasions for food and drinks. The food was well presented and plentiful, however, half the chips were uncooked and as a consequence we all left them as it was a guessing game trying to work out which were cooked. We were all very disappointed at the chef who doesn’t seem to understand the difference between cooked and brown. I was awaiting a member of staff to ask if everything was alright but no one appeared. On leaving there was two bar staff who were deep in conversation with each other so we left, disappointed.

Busy pub ,very popular . I drink cider so I can't comment on the beer , but hubby does and said it was an alright pint

Great little community pub which the owner has worked hard on over the years to get it where it is now. Staff are great and always friendly, Lisa is always popping up to chat with customers and values opinions and loves feedback either way. Easy book in system unlike other local pubs to eat and always accommodate. The only downside I can add after years of attending which is also mentioned by friends is that the food prices have increased a lot compared to the size of portion which have reduced. Apple pie was approximately £7 and presented on plate which maybe made it look worse 🫣 other than that still a great pub for the community.

Came out with my family in Tuesday tea time. Food as always 1st class catered for my two celiac grandkids without an issue Service was spot on. Lisa is such a great host she has a great team working I would recommend this place every time. I use to eat a lot In Manchester City centre but this place The Lancashire Fold with Lisa in control and the dedication of her team and professional chefs why would you want to cook at home again we'll Done everyone see you again very very soon

It’s just the best local we could wish for the food is great and always refreshing the menu keeping it interesting , the drinks are cold and wet which is just what the doctor ordered - all staff are fabulous each time we visit … very welcoming and just what you need and want in a pub

Food wasn't hot it was warm at best! I reckon its all frozen food personally? I think for how much it is, it should be far better.

We have visited for lunch Set welcoming venue Drinks reasonably priced orders 1x Chardonnay and 1x Merlot £9.50 Average wine Ordered steak Philly cheese & chicken flatbreads Steak was fatty and tough , very low standard meat . £15 and they put cheap meat on the plate . But saying that cheap meat can taste nice when cooked right but this look like a bag of smashed crabs Chicken was nice and well presented. Flatbread was fresh Worth a try but won’t be returning for food p

Booked a birthday meal for a friend, 8 in total, starters were really good and the main meals were also really good, highly recommended the Chicken burger 😋 and the Sea Bass was also really good, the desert let it down a bit... The cream boulevard was too soggy and no caramelised sugar on top, The Yorkshire Pudding pudding was well, different shall we say, overall yeah we would go again, enjoyed the evening 👍

A great place to go with your family any day of the week. Quite a good menu, with one for children as well. Advisable to book on busy occasions. Plenty of parking space and easy access. It's normally nice and warm and has big screen coverage of the football if you're interested.

Stopped by without having pre-booked a table. Pub was ultra busy due to football being on so the tvs were showing the match. There was a lot of diners and the bar staff happily found us a table and gave us menus. We didn't wait long for food and it was worth stopping by. Really lovely food and staff were attentive. Table was great size and chairs very comfortable.

It was a venue for a wake, we had never been there before, the funeral was 300 plus for a lovely guy I worked with for 20 plus years and the thought of queuing for ages for a beer was dounting but to there was 6 on the bar and service was very good and the buffet was excellent and the potato pie was great, all in all a very well organised pub with great beers and great food.

I went for a northern soul night with a friend. Great pub and atmosphere. Didn't eat, so cannot comment on food but I expect it is excellent quality

The staff are always very welcoming and throughly professional. Service with a smile always. A great selection of beer and drinks and the menu is very extensive. I have been very often as I am lucky enough to live around the corner. To date I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food in fact it has always been very good and tasty. I'll definitely be going back.

Attended here with my girlfriend for a date night. The food was amazing, mixed grill where each piece of meat was cooked to perfection. Girlfriend bought a few sides to try. All of which were much bigger portions than we expected and absolutely gorgeous. Don't even get me started on deserts, also to die for.

Excellent customer service, lovely food and perfect atmosphere for a mixed group of adults and children.

The hot pot needed more potato on top. The meat was plentiful and tasty. The accompanying veg was great. If it was in a shallower larger bowl you could put more potato's on, it didn't need more meat or veg.

The sunday carvery roast was a bit of a disapiontment ,the beef was beautiful and plenty of it, the gravy really tasty, but the roast potatoes were like dried up carboard ,obviously warmed up in the microwave , and in edible, really spoilt what would have been a lovely meal, and not cheap at £13.99. Every body else was pleased with their food, but for me those roasties spoilt it, would have expected better

Local pub in Alkrington,well used, good outdoor eating space, pity that the outside picnic tables are at the expense of disability parking!! One space only by the front door, we used it otherwise we would have been looking for another place to eat.

Always a decent atmosphere and a decent pint. I go for the Guinness - food isn’t too bad either.

I use the Lancashire Fold as my first choice to go watch football. Good screens. Can get busy so seating is first come first served However even when full service is very good. Decent prices for drink and food.

My Mums funeral wake was held in the function room on Tuesday, the food was superb and the service we received was excellent.Thank you very much to Luke and everybody at the Lancashire Fold you certainly made the day a little more bearable. Thanks also goes to Alice who was so patient and gave lots of good advice to us during the booking process when we were unsure of what to order.

September 2022 visit for Celebration Of Life for late Father. Booked the Vault Room, perfect for a family gathering. Food was delicious and the staff attentive.

Came here for a work meet and it was my first time there. I ordered a mixed grill which was nothing to write home about. Would have ordered something else if I'd seen it beforehand. The food was cooked well however not much seasoning in the food or it could be my taste buds. Whatwas a highlight were the desserts. They were honestly excellent in the presentation and taste that if you'd told me that two different restaurants made my meals that evening I'd believe it. Overall very good atmosphere and clean open place. Would recommend to others and hint them to order dessert Very easy place to get to and park. Sadly I cannot attest to the food cost as my my boss kindly picked up the bill

Booked this pub for my aunties wake, from start to finish the service was amazing. The staff and the landlady were very accommodating and extremely supportive. The food was excellent, the room was perfect. Very impressed and grateful.

I worked in London for a year , and while I was there, I NEVER paid as much for beer as I did here , My first drink was a pint of lager shandy , and a pint of lager , I was absolutely gob smacked to be told the price was 10.60 absolutely unbelievable for a pub that's in the middle of an housing estate and at a time when everyone's struggling due to rising prices /inflation. My advice is simple . If you can go to the Lancashire fold then you can go to Middleton, there's better "CHEAPER" pubs in Middleton that serve better quality food as well. Conclusion :? Dodge this pub like the plague

The food was delicious. I had the cheese and onion pie with chips and beans and a small jug of chive sauce. My OH had the beer battered cod. Apple crumble and cream for pudding. Thank you 💗.
