Haven’t been for 6 years due to a previous experience. Much improved, veg no longer mush and nice portions of meat. Enjoyable meal

First visit for 4years this is how it was carvery chef very skilled at slicing from joint very thin slices smallest amount meat on my plate in all years visit veg was ok mash potato good.also ordered choc sponge which had been over heated in microwave and starting go rock hard before half way eating overall disappointed

Left it while, to review, had many meals at lamwath I like the place, staff are friendly enough, helpful when we've had a few issues. Me the wife, children, have had numerous carverys, really never had a issue with them, we use to get 'large' carverys, you get a larger plate, extra meat, a sausage,extra Yorkshire pud. (wish they'd make their own). But we've found that too much to handle. We stick with the traditional carvery. It's still enough meat, and pick as much as you like, veg, roasts, mash. You can go back for more of the veg, roasts, we don't, we get enough already. , Tried other meals, alas I was not keen, on the above and beyond burger £11-79, didn't think it was worth the value, tiny burger. That was pretty bland. Not something I'd try again. My other let down, I wasn't feeling that good, decided against a carvery, left that to the wife, bain, that got full marks as usual. Rather then a starter, thought I would get a sharer, wife could share, doritos cool original nachos, £5-99decided to add pull ed chicken, extra £2 Well it arrived, in a small looking cereal bowl, one of those moments you both look at each other. 😂 Big blobs of salsa and sour cream, the chicken. Probably 15 doritos,, ate a couple of crisp ones, but found I had to use a fork,for the rest which were a soggy mess, just felt like ii was just eating the salsa, sour cream. Didn't realise till the end, no jalapeños either. Sorry, how that was a sharer I don't know, pound cheaper then the wife's carvery, bit of a shocker imo. But then as usual the wife had a sundae, and me and the bain, a bottomless ice cream, fill your bowl, glass which ever they give you on the day, with ice cream from the machine. It's nice, one of my favourites. Okay a couple of things I wasn't too keen on. But we do like lamwath, I look forward to the next visit. In all this time, we've yet to try the breastfast buffet at lamwath, we've had a delivery, and that was very nice.

We have been to Lanbwath lots of times before but today we met Charlotte at the carveryshe really enhanced our visit with her happy smiling presence she genuinely seemed interested in us asking if we'd had a nice day wishing us merry Christmas and called my husband sir! That made him smile it's not often you get good customer service and we deffinatly got it today we throughly enjoyed our food too thank you Charlotte from Mr and Mrs kay

Went as group of 12 friends, mixture of adults and kids aged 9. Can be a bit hit and miss with the food and today was definitely a miss. I got what I would describe as a child’s portion of meat at the carvery. If you put my gammon and turkey together it wouldn’t even have been a full slice of meat. I know some people pig out at carveries but my 9 year old child got more meat than me. Didn’t want to complain as was with friends, if had been just us as a family would’ve had a refund, left and gone elsewhere. They were kicking the bum out of some bits of dried up gammon, that the server described as ‘very tender’ but I would say scrag end bits. I got some like crackling bits and a blob of fat and two finger sized pieces of turkey. It was either that or a large piece of fat spotted with bits of brown that they said was beef. One of our group had a burger, he left most of it as he said it was grey in the middle. It that was my pub I would be embarrassed.

We had an offer on their app for a £5 carvery , my partner had just finished work and thought we would try our luck for a table We were greeted by a lad with a England top who was very happy to help us with a table , we had Turkey and beef which was very tasty and their mash was just right for us all the veg was cooked how we like it , well worth the visit , the staff are always polite and helpful , Dave & Vicky who run it we have known for years from Westbulls and always have time to say hello ,like we said we love the Lambwath and would recommend it to anyone

Had a lovely time here today, had some friends from out of town come over so we’d thought we would try The Lambwath. The cocktail deal for £12 and shots were rather popular with my friends, would highly recommend for a hot summers afternoon

Great quiz....we went to try their quiz on a Wednesday night ..we had a good laugh ...music quiz then a general knowledge quiz ...we then had ago on their Play your cards Right ...this was so funny Nobody coukd get it right ..Dave the quizmaster made our night ..he is quite a character making jokes along the way ... Bouns we won £20 voucher !!

We went today for a family meal as they had 50% off on pizzas ..we ordered our pizzas but struggled on their app, a lovely waitress called Sophie helped us with our order , she made sure we ordered what we wanted,,after 10min all our pizzas arrived delivered by Sophie who asked us if we needed any sources ..the pizzas were lovely and tasty ..we are definitely going back ,,the staff are very polite and helpful , the pizzas are very tasty ,

Yesterday(27/04/24) we ate at the lamworth in Hull. It was for my sons 13th birday and we had a table of 12. The food and service were without a doubt exceptional. But we had 1 problem. Upon booking the party we requested tea and coffee to be laid on(which I was more than happy to pay for obviously) to save people having to get up and go through to the bar. This didn't happen and I was told by the manager, he knew nothing about it, so it wasn't available. Also he quite abruptly said he knew nothing about bringing the cake out, so we could sing happy birthday to my son. I had to do this myself which spoilt the effect and suprise of the occasion.

My friend and myself go to lambworth every week on a Thursday we both get a large carvery and a dessert each well we both went today and it was terrible the food was cold the gravy was like water with bits floating in it the stuffing was sloppy we only ate half of the carvery all I can say is it the worse meal we have ever had in there

One of our favourite paces for lunch and with a 50% discount it would have been silly not to take advantage of the offer. We always have the carvery which sometimes could be hotter but is usually o.k. and today it was great. It is excellent value and all the staff are wonderful. Today we were given a code to scan but we don't have a smart phone. However special mention must go to Sophie who twice checked that everything was okay with our meal. A valuable member of staff ! Because the offer can be used more than once we will be back again on Thursday.

Finally I ve got time to do my reviews. So, stonehouse, gave me a offer for my birthday, buy a main, get one free. So why not, actually they'd been doing a 50% off during Monday to Thursday, unfortunately I was unable to take up that offer, but, arrived Friday. Bought our drinks at the bar, and was advised to go through to the restaurant and get our table, in which the lady, gave us our table number, seated ourself and gave us chance to choose our meal. My friend went for the pizza, I choose the large carvey. That comes with quite a large plate for sure. I went up to the counter, had a choice of three meats, too choose two, went for the, beef and gammon. Other choice turkey. Then it was, two Yorkshire pubs, and filled up on, carrots, cauliflower cheese, mash, and quite a few roast potatoes. My friend, on me seating myself went, 'whooo',"that's a lot" 😂, I blame the large plate. Now, I tucked in, thinking his pizza wouldn't take long, but honestly, I shoud of waited a while before getting my meal, because I wasn't far off finishing my meal, when his pizza arrived. I enjoyed my meal for sure, and my friend really enjoyed his pizza. The gap, while he ate his meal, made me decide to go get the bottomless ice cream, which you dispense yourself. Now that was proper 99 style ice cream for sure. Yeah I decent meal, and a helpful, cheerful server, whom sorted us out, during the evening. Look forward to my next carvery....

Sorry to say was the worst carvery had there for a while, we go regularly, and usually ok. Beef was very fatty and large pieces grissle, was not a good cut of meat either taste wise I think, they gave us a little more beef with less fat on, but meal ruined, not enjoyable at all!

We went for Christmas dinner , first time we have used this place for Christmas ,,,table was decorated very nice with a small box of chocolates and a table decoration , the service was excellent , and our meal was excellent and worth every penny .. we really enjoyed our time and are looking at booking back there next year .. I went with my friend for lunch on Mon. 11th December. I have never been before but was pleasantly surprised how great the carvery was - plenty of choice, hot and reasonably priced. I want to give a special mention to a member of staff - Sophie, who really looked after us. She was very friendly, attentive and a credit to the establishment.

Well what can I say this place alway brilliant. The staff are amazing and always out too help. Even our eggs was runny. And we will be back to annoy you all very soon. Mel/dave/Vicky.

We go every week for veterans breakfast , the service from the staff is excellent , always make us feel very welcome , Mel and Dave always look after us and go out of their way to make sure we are looked after , Vicky our breakfast chef cooks an excellent breakfast we all highly recommend the Lambwath

Honestly don’t even know where to start but I’ve been coming here my whole life and it isn’t what it used to be. It used to be a friendly great pub under previous management 5+ years ago, the only decent member of staff now who knows a thing about customer service is a Scottish lady (really sorry, can’t remember her name) but she is fantastic and worth 100x of this place. The food is ok, sometimes hit and miss as with a lot of places. But what really lets this place down is the staff, or some of them at least. We booked a table for lunch time for 3 of us, came in and due to my mum being a big lady and disabled we moved the reserved sign from our table to the comfier one next to it. Now this table did have a reserved sign on, but for 2 people so in my head I was doing something harmless as the table we moved to was bigger and it didn’t matter. Maybe I shouldn’t have done it, absolutely fair enough; but it’s not a crime and the carvery part of the pub was half empty! And then a delightful lady called Mel shouted yes shouted; across the pub IS THAT YOUR RESERVE SIGN. So I said yes. Because it was. Anyway she walked off we all sat down. A couple of minutes later she was stood at the till and again SHOUTED ‘what’s your name’. And then she walked over, and began raising her voice YET AGAIN! She walked over to our table and continued shouting, in front of customers who were literally all looking and couldn’t believe the way she was speaking to us (which people said as we walked out). She was extremely rude, talking and belittling us loud enough for everyone to hear and treating us as if we’d committed some crime. She said (very rudely) that the 2 people who had reserved the booth had requested that specific table and that’s why we couldn’t move the sign, 1. Fair enough if that’s the case but you come and have a quiet word with us you don’t shout and treat us like children in front of other customers and 2. I don’t believe that for one second, there is no option when booking to choose a specific table. If there is, I obviously wasn’t given this privilege. We barely said a word when she was ranting at us as to be honest all 3 of us were shocked at the way we were being spoken to by a member of staff, but I’ve noticed this a lot over previous visits that the staff like to shout across the pub to each other and obviously this is the norm here. She eventually started walking off but still didn’t stop! We were near the till/ice cream section she was near the carvery that’s how loud she was talking. She then said quite aggressively ‘I’d appreciate it if you didn’t move my reserves’ so I said and I’d appreciate if you didn’t shout at us in a pub full of people. We decided to leave because no way are we being served by someone who speaks to people that way, whilst they’re at work! So we left. As we were on our way out this lady obviously had a real bee in her bonnet about us because she was stood near the exit with a member of staff at a table with some customers telling all them about the situation too! And she doesn’t talk quiet either, we heard everything she was saying. How inappropriate telling customers about other customers. So we went elsewhere to eat and had a lovely meal, once we’d cooled down a bit I called the pub to complain. I asked to speak to a manager to make a complaint and the man that answer the phone was the manager, not that he told me this! There was no ‘yes, speaking’ or ‘I am the manager’ or ‘my names so and so what’s the complaint regarding’ it was a very half hearted ‘what’s the complaint about’. To which I said a member of staff and something that happened today, well I didn’t have to say much before he knew what I was talking about. He explained that Mel had already talked to him about it when it had happened, but obviously she’d made out to him like she had really politely explained that we can’t move the reserve signs which she didn’t; she shouted at us. I told him this wasn’t the case and that she was so rude and was shouting to which he said he was surprised as Mel is usually top waitress. So in the end I agreed as I just wanted to get off the call and I wasn’t getting anywhere. He was sticking up for his staff and didn’t seem to acknowledge that ‘top waitress’ had been raising her voice at customers’. He did apologise that it had happened to be fair to him and he did acknowledge when I said how she had acted that there are 2 sides to every story, but by that point the damage was already done. He wasn’t rude at all, but it could have been dealt with a lot better. The phone call was a little unprofessional and the way we’d been treated wasn’t really acknowledged, he said he would speak to her about it but he won’t. You have to say that as a manager. So yes, I won’t be coming back here which is a shame as it’s our local and used to be a great pub. But I don’t want to spend my money somewhere where rather than being spoken to like an adult I get disrespected and belittled in front of other people. Do better lambwath.
