Lovely food and a great atmosphere..

Booked a lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon for 14 people. We were told they were understaffed due to sickness so weren’t expecting the amazing service we received. The drinks were a little slow coming but nothing too noticeable. The waiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable and caring (we had someone with an egg allergy within our party). The food came much quicker than we expected. It was hot, good size portions and very tasty. Seriously good. Well done to The Lamb and your staff.

Always go past this restaurant on this occasion I wish we had. I think the seating and ambience is called trash chic. All the furniture looked like from reclamation yard or the deceased estates of the homeless and the food matched this growing expectation. Should have walked out then and there. The chicken in the Club Sandwich was a piece of rubber, the service was substandard not even half a star. My daughter said she enjoyed her burger - no accounting for good taste! Therefore on that basis half a star.

A scenic, busy and popular pub. Excellent food with great prices. Fantastic Sunday Roast and tasty vegan options. Gets very busy so I recommend booking in advance.

The roast beef was thinly sliced like ham roast potatoes rock hard, side dish okay. Recomend thicker slices of meat

The Lamb is our local, best for a drink. Food is variable. Friendly waitstaff. Tonight pie was full of fat and pastry bottom was raw while lid was too hard to cut. Nice carrots! No point complaining if you expect a bill reduction or free coffee. Very overpriced. Rarely choose this pub as there is always some disappointment.

Went yesterday early 12 30 staff soo friendly accommodated crying dog when Daddy went to loo food xcellant husband said no fish n chips will ever beat it 4 of us said the same about all dishes fantastic!! Will highly recommend

Great village pub with high quality food. We booked for dinner when staying nearby and it was an excellent choice. Friendly, attentive service even though it was busy. Nothing to fault at all.

After watching the sun set on the beach we wee stuck as to what to eat. Took a gamble Rang the pub and they said kitchen closes in 5 mins. We will be there in 5 mins we said! - fine they said! The service was certainly friendly. The food was exceptional. 5* Fish n chips. Will deffo be back there next time we hit the beach.

Nice pub just bad service. Pleasantly surprised how nice the garden was and was greeted by a waitress that said they would come over and serve us at the table. After nobody showing up decided it was easier to go to the bar and buy a drink but was told at the bar they can’t serve us as we were sitting outside. Went back outside and asked the waitress again and sat down. Unfortunately the waitress decided to serve a table that just walked in rather than us who sat patiently for some time and also asking twice if we could order a drink. It’s a shame as recently moved to the area so would definitely of used it frequently.

Lovely Sunday evening meal with a big group. The Lamb took everything in their stride and did a great job. They had run out of Sunday dinner, but it was a sunny summer Sunday!

Tasty food with lots of options on the menu, service was good. Sat in the garden which is pleasant enough.

We came here for a meal prior to taking the ferry to France. The food was rustic, delicious and fresh. The service was great: really friendly and a wonderful atmosphere. We have four children and we were sat very close to the bar and just soaked up the atmosphere. Good pubs will save Britain! Thanks for a great evening.

I have memory's of this venue from years ago when it was very, very good. I have not been back and today was able to visit. To say I was disappointed would be understatement. The welcome was ok and the service was just about passable. Decided to have the fish and chips. The fish was tastles and the batter was very greasy, my partners batter was burnt, the chips were almost the size of half potatoes and undercooked. Clearly short of staff. I will not return.

Family evening meal August 2024. Sat inside near bar, very good atmosphere, fully booked on Monday evening. Good variety of food and drinks. Had the fish and chips, fish excellent. Prices like many pubs seem to have increased recently but the portion sizes certainly sufficient and overall good value. Waitress who served us was very efficient. Will return.

We are a large family of 14 with two babies and five children . The staff were friendly and efficient and understanding with the children . The food was delicious with a good choice for our group which include vegan and vegetarian We had a large table in lovely comfortable attractive decor Highly recommend a visit

Stopped off for a snack and a drink.

Nipped in for a quick drink in a warm summer’s evening. We had a cheeky cocktail each. I had a spicy margarita and the driver had an elderflower fizz. Garden is a nice sun trap. Didn’t have food as we had eaten earlier in the day but it did look good.

Good outdoor area for kids. Table service was good to avoid going up and down to the bar. Food felt fresh and was hot

This pub/restaurant was the best we had visited in west wittering, we actually ended up going twice. They have a great outside space with amazing kids area if you have children it will be a great place for them. The food was delicious, they had a great choice of gluten free options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The staff were all lovely . All very welcoming . Helpful and generally seemed to love there job ...we popped in on the of change on a Sunday and sat in the lovely garden . The food was exceptional gratuity was not added to the bill and we paid more than required due to everything being so so so nice will return ASAP in fact .... starting the car now

Excellent food, and lovely staff! We had fish & chips, burgers and salads and all were amazing. Kids menus were also proper and generous portions. The outdoor space garden is nice and has a playground. Although the playground was an advantage, it is not set in a very safe way.

Visited the lamb inn today after visiting the beach and had the most delicious food, the service was brilliant and the waitress Ria was very welcoming and attentive to us! We will be back!!😊

Visited last night with some friends after the beach, food tasted very nice, we had the beef burger, the lamb burger and fish and chips. Service was great, and special mention to the lady working the main counter outside, who was talking to us about getting to work with the traffic. She was very welcoming and friendly. Same to the waiter, who was working very hard to accommodate everyone in the garden. Will be coming back next time we go to wittering!

Delicious wood oven pizza with lots of toppings and tasty base

Great food and service, well worth a visit after a day at the beach. The banoffee cheesecake is incredible and easily the best chips I have had for years.

Top notch food , quality and service

Top experience. We went with 2 kids and a dog and it was a perfect place for a lunch. Lamb Inn has a playground section which is next to the outdoor tables. Convenient location for the West Wittering beach. Food was great quality, good portions and service even better. Varied children menu. We tried a few other pubs on our trip but this was far ahead others for a family with kids/dog. Would definitely recommend.

It's a very family pub so lovely for people who have children. Every time we've eaten here the food has been very nice and the service very good. No complaints at all, chips are the best.

Last minute Sunday early lunch booking, we were unsure but wow the perfect lunch. Pizza was the best pizza we've had in UK, roast porchetta restored my faith in pub Sunday lunches and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Love this place and will be coming back soon. £65 for 2 adults and a child.... Utterly fair for what we got.

What a wonderful experience. Staff were helpful and attentive. Food was excellent and plentiful. The kids were happy.

Service and food was excellent. Lovely garden out back with dedicated kids play area. Dog friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. Badger beer available too that was well kept.

Update!!! The sun was shining, the staff were amazing and the food was excellent. Fries were piping hot and beautifully seasoned and the pizzas are on another level!! The smells coming from the wood fired pizza oven that is situated in the rear garden really add to the chilled summertime mood they have here. The staff are all amazing, always smiling and very attentive. 10/10 Thank you guys 👍🏼 ——————————————————————— Cosy, warm and welcoming with a friendly Land Lady, large outside seating area and huge carpark. We have not eaten here but judging by the smells from the kitchen, its good grub! The roaring fire is a treat on these cold winter evenings and absolutely adds to the relaxed and charming atmosphere this pub has.

Came in for lunch with my husband and sat in the garden which is filled with gorgeous plants and flowers. The waitresses were really friendly and attentive. We had Sticky Squid Bites, Cheese Croquettes and a Beef Burger, all of which were delicious. Lovely atmosphere, Great choice of food and drink. We will definitely be back again!

We've been in the past and enjoyed this pub but tonight they were woefully understaffed. We sat down just after 6pm and eventually got our starter at 7.10pm. By 8.10pm when we still hadn't had our mains we said not to bother as we had a 90 min journey home. Although they took the starter and the one maim we had received off the bill it was frustrating that we still ended up paying £40 for drinks - I should have argued but I just needed to get my children some food by then! Really disappointing 😞

Lovely pub and restaurant, food was great - squid bites as well as the Prawn and chorizo particularly good

The pub had a lot of plants so that was really nice as I’m a plant lover. The service was much better than the dish I ordered, ‘The seafood stew’. However, the burgers were amazing and the staff let us in the last minute right before the kitchen was about to close. The place also had a kids play area for any moms who need a quick break.

Really poor quality food. We had the mushroom linguine, chicken burger, tiramisu, apple crumble. Only nice thing was squid and cocktails. Very overpriced

Delicious - we went on Locals Night (you don't have to be one) and enjoyed 3 courses of freshly cooked food @ £22 ph and excellent service.

A really friendly family pub to visit and enjoy your food after a relaxing day at West Wittering Beach. Greeted with friendly smiles when we arrived. We had our two dogs with us so we sat in the garden. They have a climbing frame for keeping the little terrors busy. Food was ace!! Burger is my goto and that was very tasty, one of those burgers with a javelin in the middle to hold it together 😅. Wifey had a ham and mushroom pizza, not like the pizzas you get from the shops but hand made, stone fired and fresh. The dogs also got attention from one of the friendly staff as she is a dog owner and they also got free treats. Highly recommend going there for lunch or dinner, but I think it's a great way to end your day with the fam, so do dinner. I've never given an establishment 5 stars before!!

Dropped into The Lamb with the intention of having a refreshing drink. Approached the bar staff, only to be told she was too busy and I wouldn't be served unless sat at a table to await table service. Apparently this applies even when not ordering food. I was naturally surprised by the refusal to be served directly at the bar. They were very busy with food service so I took my custom elsewhere. This is not something I've ever encountered in a pub before. Lovely environment and food looks good but certainly wouldn't recommend going there for a just a drink.

We had a lovely outside evening meal here after spending the afternoon at West Wittering, the food was great with lots of choice and plenty of gluten free options for my wife. The wood fired pizza I had was delicious. The service was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating, I would thoroughly recommend The Lamb Inn.

Nice pub with nice garden food looked good on

Had a cracking lunch here with friends and family. The beer garden is great, lots of seating, a small kids play area with summer tunes and friendly staff providing a warm and welcoming environment. The food was fantastic. I had the winter salad with salmon which oozed flavour, balance and style. A Mediterranean dish which was as good as anything I’ve had at ottolenghi. Dont be fooled by the name as it’s lovely on a warm spring day too. The chicken and chips and chicken burger looked excellent. My daughter’s chicken goujons were made from chicken breast and looked home made. Her meal was delayed as the initial portion was overcooked which I think shows how much the chef cares. You can tell the kitchen staff here really care about the food they produce. The locals are lucky to have a place like this on their doorstep.

It was a rainy day but we had a great table outside in one of the covered areas. Food was fantastically cooked and the staff seemed incredibly friendly. Dogs very welcome with plenty of water bowls outside.

It's very rare for my family of adult foodies to be satisfied....all at once, and not just satisfied but thrilled with 5 different selections, well done! You will forever be a reference point to future dining out for us all, and we are already wondering when we can come back up for another holiday and pass you each time, thank you, absolutely delicious, like beyond! After experiencing disappointment in the holiday hotspot areas by the sea along the coast we were so relieved to find you and give dining outline last shot and it paid off! Visited for Sunday lunch. It was fully booked so we decided to sit in the garden but it got a little chilly and so we asked if there was any possibility we could sit in. They swapped tables around and managed to find us a table. Service was excellent and staff very friendly and accommodating. Selection of starters, mains and desserts was impressive. We opted for the Sunday roast- again great selection and beautiful roast dinner with exceptional cauliflower cheese on the side. A perfect finish to a lovely afternoon. Thank you.

Booked this pub on the day for a late Sunday lunch for a three generation family meal. Great choice of roasts and main menu . Delicious food and great choice for children too. Nice play area in the garden. Decor and atmosphere very good. Good choice of beers.

Lovely late lunch in a dog friendly pub. Really nice people that made the atmosphere great. Service was great especially as it was at the table and the dogs loved the chips. Happily go again and would recommend for family groups although would recommend you book.

Lovely friendly pub arrived without a booking but got seated quickly and served and to top it of one of the best burgers 🍔 I've had anywhere and our dogs where made very welcome to staff very welcoming and efficient

Dropped in to see if they had a table on the way back from the beach and luckily for us they did. Amazing food and service, and completely dog friendly. The best sea bass I’ve ever had. We will be returning!

I cannot fault this place. Delicious food cooked by someone who knows what they’re doing. Nobsurprise, therefore, that every table was taken on a Tuesday night. Good beer too. Not local to me sadly but good enough to revisit the area so can go again. Can’t wait!

Cosy pub, very charming and inviting. And dog friendly. The staff were friendly enough but the service a bit erratic. We had to ask to order food, ask for the bill and no one came to ask if everything was ok. But the food was delicious. The Cumberland ring and mash was superb and so much of it. My husband enjoyed the mushroom burger. Our only complaint was that the chicken burger was extraordinarily spicy and didn’t advertise itself as being so.

Beer battered fish and chips.. The chips were just badly cooked potato wedges. The rest was average at best. Disappointed.

The Manager or bar staff was vert rude. All the tables are booked 5 pm we were & probably 75% or the tables were empty there we could of sat at one just for a coffee that's all we waited would of only been 30 minute or so So we didn't spend any money at all. Shocking its like she didn't even wait to serve us we will not be going there again or recommending to anyone we know very unfriendly. This happened once in another Hall & Woodhouse pubs a couple of years back The Talisman although been going there for about 35 years or so its much better now. The lamb was very disappointing never been treated or spoken to so rudely is there not training you do for your staff.

Tuesdays is locals night so a set price for two or three courses. Reasonably priced but limited menu. Starter of pork bites (belly pork) was mostly squidgy cubes of pork belly fat with very very little meat. Should have been cooked a lot more and sold as pork scratchings. Main courses of fish stew and griddled chicken were ok. Restaurant was busy and ambience and service were good. The deserts were a typical cooks cheat and pretty rubbish. The ‘stick toffee pudding’ was a microwaved supermarket chocolate muffin camouflaged with toffee sauce and the Eton mess frozen not fresh fruit and the rest was a pink slush. Some meringue and no identifiable cream. So yes,would go again because it’s a nice pub, but they really need to pay attention to the food. The faults when they occur are too obvious.

First time to the Lamb, initial impressions were good, busy, great atmosphere, family and dog friendly for sure. Table was ready, service was good, problem with the starter which was rectified although had to wait a while for replacement dish Main course, recommend the lovely fish stew,, but the garlic chicken was very dry, shame really as it was a sizeable portion. Wine selection was good though, as were the beers.

Booked mother days day for 3 generations of my family, each mum received a plant from the pub which was a lovely gesture. Food was outstanding, catered for vegan, coeliacs and allergies, our server was very knowledgable regarding this too. Gorgeous pub with a very welcoming atmosphere! A special mention for Claire our server nothing was too much trouble she made the whole experience very pleasant.

Just had the most delicious roast for 4-people in Mother's Day. We had pork, beef and lamb dishes and they were all so delicious. The pub is full of character and charm. The staff are attentive and friendly - Clare was fabulous looking after us. It's a proper team there doing what it takes to keep their guests happy. Will definitely return ... Thank you Team Lamb xx

Wow! What a superb lunch! It’s our first trip to this area and we stopped for lunch on the way to our beach cottage. We were met with such a warm welcome and friendly team. The service was superb and the food was amazing! We shared a gorgeous seafood sharing platter and then shared the seafood stew - all so delicious! A wonderful start to my birthday weekend ❤️

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch here to celebrate our daughters 50th birthday. The food & service were excellent . We were a large group but the service was unobtrusive & faultless.

Another visit , great food, nice atmosphere, close to west wittering. We always pop in when at the beach. Highly recommended.

Could be a great pub but it’s tired and the food is massively overpriced. The food came out 10 minutes after ordering so not sure how they managed to cook it in that time. Chips were hard and the tartare sauce was just weird. Staff were decent enough. Just felt like £82 for 2 adult and 2 kids meals was a massive rip off for the quality of food we got.

Amazing food, quick service, dog and family friendly. Roast is the best I've had.

Sunday lunch. Mmmmmmm delicious. Cocktails to start followed by wine to suit. No photos sorry but we enjoyed lamb roast of the tenderest pink lamb and medium cooked lamb as well as crispy pork and loads of apple sauce and of course beef and Yorkshire pudding. Don’t skip the cauliflower cheese! Very good quality meats and big Yorkshire puddings with all roast meals. Desserts were suitably delicious as well.

This pub NEVER disappoints. Fabulous food and great customer service. They made my elderly Father and I SO welcome, which helped to make it a memorable lunch. Can't wait to return! Oh...and the cauliflower and mushroom risotto was sublime.
