I had the Sunday roast and went for the pork. There was plenty of pork and vegetables with gravy and apple sauce that filled the plate. Very tasty and great value, all washed down with an ice cold lager. Thanks Bel, we'll be back xxx

Lovely pub, excellent service. But the food was terrible. Burger came out pink, and the roasts were the worst we've had in memory. Highly recommended for drinks, avoid like the plague for food.

Great food. And quite a good selection on the menu. The pub has a large beer garden with a big covered smoking area. Very friendly with a good atmosphere.

Warm and friendly welcome in a pub with local ale selection. Good value traditional pub grub. Puds excellent, including apple crumble with custard.

Having walked half a mile out of town, the pub externally looked like a cosy well kept local. Had a selection of real ale pumps. Just about to order when the landlady saw that we had a dog. No dogs allowed in here! I thought pubs were struggl8ng for business, especially post lockdowns but clearly not. Can't recall the last pub I went in where we'll behaved dogs aren't welcomed

First holiday with a 16 month old dog after lockdown. Friendly staff who provided us with a bowl of water for our dog. Sat inside as had a table booked. Started with a sharer of camembert, then pie, burger & steak for our mains of which no complaints. Pudding brownie, sticky toffee pud and a coffee/pud to finish. On the dear side but really enjoyed our meals and have already booked again for our last day of our holiday. Got really busy towards the end of our stay but staff were attentive and got our orders/bill as soon as we asked. From what we saw pub was really busy only 3 staff on who served at tables and the bar and were very polite.

We booked here for Sunday lunch before we travelled to Bristol airport to return to Jersey. We did arrive early to a positive start as we were allowed to have our table and order straight away. A good and varied menu (albeit a number of items were not avaliable) and a good selection of local ales. This is where the positives start to slip. We were waiting 45 minutes before our food arrived which then came quickly after we chased the barmaid. Two meals were good and the other two not so good with over cooked beef and burnt rarebit. We then had to wait a prelonged period before were asked if we had finished and then most of the dishes were collected (2 remained on the table up until we left along with the empty glasses). We were not asked if we wanted desert. Also personally, none of our party of 4 appreciate having dogs inside whilst we were eating but I assume that these are the rules of your establishment. All in all, not what we wanted as the end of our short trip (and first time travelling from Jersey in 18 months)

An unexpected surprise to have hot home cooked meals with classic desserts such as jam sponge and custard. A proper pub with great service. The gardens are lovely and well worth sitting outside for the views. Highly recommended. Plenty of parking on the road and worth a stop off if going to Lyme Regis or Axminster.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and drink and very friendly staff. Just eaten roast dinner, one vegi, one normal. Well made, good portion size. Chef and owner came out to garden after service had finished to check back with customers and made sure everything was OK. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and able to have a banter when appropriate. The garden is large and layed out well so everyone can feel safe away from others. Would totally recommend that you visit here.

What started out as a lovely evening was ruined by a very awkward and uncomfortable conversation with the owner when we mentioned we were disappointed with the food. 3 of us had fish and chips. The fish was a frozen fish portion you get from the freezers of a supermarket, accompanied by warm chips. 3 had lasagne that were clearly microwave meals. Who would go out for dinner to get served frozen and microwave meals? When we mentioned this we were told that they just serve basic pub food and shouldn’t expect great food. This seems quite insulting to other pubs that also serve basic pub food, but still put it a bit of effort to offer something other than food from the freezer section. When we said we felt £8.50 was a bit cheeky to ask for frozen food we were met with immediate defence and confrontation and asked how much we thought it was worth. No apology or acknowledgement that the food was bad, just pure hostility. And when we said they didn’t have to worry because we wouldn’t be back she said she was glad because she didn’t want customers like us. Will never be going back.

Just had a fun afternoon in The Lamb. Great friendly atmosphere with everyone obeying the Covid regs as we all have to do in these difficult times. The bar staff were fantastic, welcoming and efficient without being overzealous. Look forward to going back.

The barmaid is gorgeous. If you want to see how a pub/restaurant should be run in these days of Covid, you should visit the Lamb. I want to feel safe above all other parameters and the Lamb does this without fail. The staff still manage to be warm and welcoming. The ale is fantastic and the food the best i've had at this price point, oh and have I mentioned the barmaid's gorgeous.

I have been shielding for 19 weeks due to COVID and have only been back to work for the last two weeks so going to a pub was a very big Deal to me. I have to say that Bel at the lamb has the balance just right between feeling relaxed and also feeling safe. Bel and her staff have always been very welcoming and the beer garden is a hidden gem!!!

came to 'The lamb' recently with my family for a few drinks and a meal. Service is great as well as the dishes we had - could not fault!! :) I would like to add that alot of thought has gone into the safety of us as customers after the covid-19 pandemic with a perspex screen and track and trace information being taken. It made us feel as a family very safe and looked after - even having table service wasn't a hastle at all for the bar staff all meals and drinks served with a smile from the waitress/bar lady. so thank you to Bell and her team for this. The only pub I will be going too from now on without a doubt, couldn't have asked for a warmer reception! Would reccomend to anyone! :)

Fantastic food as always! good value and brilliant potion size. Service is always with a smiley face and bubbly personalities. Great outdoor space for chilling or for children. Highly recommend for food or drink ( both in my case). This is the only place I will book family dinners too!! Keep up the good work and thank you for accommodating my family and needs.

One of the female managers is very hostile and has no manners. Walks around like a customer and dressed like one too. Doesnt bother with a smart appearance and attitude is no better. Not a great way to represent the company. All other staff look relatively smart and professional and always polite. Food- you get what you pay for and reliable! The layout is a bit crammed also but Wetherspoons have never been one for quality over quantity.

The young lady serving us didn't tell me and my friend which drink was which. And the toilets aren't up to the health and safety standards. The tap was falling apart and no water was coming out of the tap and no toilet roll! Disgusting! You'd think especially after COVID times everywhere would be much cleaner. Makes you think how clean the place is and the hygiene of the staff making and preparing food and drink.
