Great coffee, lots of lovely cakes, a good few different options for food, and Clive is lovely. He took great care of us while we were there, suggesting things we could do in the area and making good recommendations.

Great coffee and not the usual rip off prices, lovely looking cakes as well, the stay can’t do enough and very friendly. It looks small but has a wonderful garden area to the rear. If you are in Whitstable and only 750 yards from the harbour go and try it, you definitely won’t be disappointed

Cosy cafe with a varied menu for breakfast,brunch,lunch and more! Good selection of cakes and really pleased to find gluten free options for one in our party. Properly hot lattes were very nice too. Highly recommended!

I'd rate the service at this place 10 stars if I could. From the moment we walked in with a dog and a baby they couldn't have been more hospitable. They bent over backwards to make sure we were comfy and had a lovely chat with the owner. Some of the friendliest people we've met. Food was very tasty and very generous portions for great prices. We will definitely be back next time we visit Whitstable.

Lovely café. Excellent drinks, friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Our kids loved the drawing wall and dogs are welcome too. We will be back!

Lovely little cafe, incredibly friendly team there and great food. Definitely worth a visit!

First visit today. A friendly welcome from Clive the owner awaited us. We were not rushed or hassled to order quickly and were able to peruse the menu at our leisure while chatting amiably. Freshly prepared ciabatta were generously filled accompanied by a fresh salad. Cake was beautiful. Good coffee and hot chocolate to warm us up too. Definitely on my list to revisit. Don’t forget to sign the wall!

Genuinely wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, even going above and beyond for our puppy who was teething! Good gluten free options and dog friendly, we couldn’t ask for anything more. Cannot wait to return.

My first visit to Whitstable. Decided that I fancied cake, as you do. Found this place that had a white chocolate and pistachio cake, couldn't resist. It was delicious! My parents had a massive bacon butty in doorstop bread with at least 8 rashers of bacon! Well worth a visit if you are in Whitstable 😁🍰☕

Had a lovely Brie and Bacon Chiabata for my breakfast at Clive's super eatery. It was so tasty and filling. The staff were great and atmosphere very relaxing. Definitely recommend it as a place to eat and chill.

Great little cafe. Have garden at rear so we took in the autumn sun whilst enjoying a ciabatta. Excellent and friendly service. Will go back when next in Whitstable

Very lucky I stumbled across this cafe today. Spent 8am - 4pm working from here and had the yummiest food and very warm and kind hospitality from Clive (Owner) and Cyd (Manager). Can highly recommend the avocado on toast (with bacon) and the brie and bacon ciabatta. The world needs more cafes like this 🙌🏼 - I'll absolutely be back.

We popped into the Kitchen cafe today and enjoyed a lovely tea and cake. The outdoor seating area looks lovely and secluded. But what makes this place is the lovely staff. Clive took the time to come over and speak with us, he recognised the fact that my daughter was looking very sad ( our doggie had gone to heaven the day previous ). Upon knowing this Clive went out his way to cheer my little girl up and gave her a great big cuddle and free cake as we was leaving. Thankyou Clive you are a gentleman. We look forward to returning soon!

Such a beautiful atmosphere, wonderfully kind and friendly staff, really great for kids (changing table and toddler seat for the loo!) the cakes are so yummy and the outdoor garden looks so cute. Really recommend for a stop off on the high street💕

Called in today, 3 of us and were met with a very warm welcome. Managed to grab the lovely table in the window to enjoy our iced coffees, along with toasted sandwiches. The service was impeccable - our friend arrived from Oz last week and commented that it’s the best service she has experienced in the UK - the food was great coffee tasted good and the cafe was so clean, they have a cute little garden outside too with a locals food map on the wall - nice touches such as tide times and super times and you can write on the wall! Will definitely be calling back in when visiting Whitstable Thank you

We visited the cafe again today and took our friends with us. We got a lovely welcome from the girls behind the counter. We sampled their cakes today- Victoria sponge and lemon cake which were both lovely . One of the men had a sausage roll which was enormous! He said it was very tasty and much better than a Gregs one! We all had drinks which were nice and hot. We are on holiday here so not regular customers but we will definitely be coming back next year.

We are on holiday and we popped in today for a drink. We got a nice welcome from the owner and from the staff behind the counter. The drinks were hot not like some other cafes we have been in. One of my party had a scone and he said it was really tasty. The place was clean and tidy. They have scrumptious looking cakes just inside the door so we will be going back on Thursday to sample a couple! Dogs are allowed as well so that was a bonus.

A great venue with a friendly atmosphere from the owner who spent time to talk with us. Only had a scone but going back later this week for more.

Lovely little cafe, food is very fresh and service great. I had the ciabatta with mozzarella, pesto and sun dried tomatoes. It was tasty but a little too salty for my taste and the salad had a balsamic vinegar on it which I'm not keen on. To be fair i should have stated no salad dressing so really not the staffs fault. Would definitely eat here again if passing but maybe try the doorstep bread sandwich which i noticed someone else ordered.

Probably had the nicest bacon sandwich in a cafe, ever. It was like my mum made it. My partner loved her breakfast too. Really warm atmosphere and we had a brief chat with the owner, Clive who was a gentleman. I’ll definitely be back.

We called in for a coffee and were greeted by the friendly staff. We enjoyed the coffee and hearing customers around - they were all pleased too. There is a well kept area through the shop that can sit plenty of customers. It's lovely to be able support the local community and businesses.

This is just the place to relax while having an excellent quality coffee. They also have a range of delicious cakes and sanduiches made fresh on the spot. The reason I came here is because since day one they always received me with a smile and the Team here is so welcoming and kind. All are great including the owner but I have to give a shout out to the ones I see more and always look after me. Sid,Ruby,Olivia,Honey..Thanks for your great service.

Popped in here last minute for breakfast as the other cafes were busy and rushed. Service was lovely, portions were generous and coffee was delicious. We sat inside but there was nice seating out the back and would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area. Prices were really reasonable - I got the bacon sarnie and left full and happy.

Stopped to avoid the rain for a coffee. Lovely little place with beautiful garden, such lovely friendly staff, next time will stop for lunch.

Take out ciabattas - absolutely delicious. Had the brie, bacon and red onion marmalade, dad had the gammon one and mum had the chicken with brie. Tasty bread, excellently warm and nice salad on the side!

The outdoor area was really nice in the sun! Coffee was mediocre. I was there 30-40 minutes before closing time, so they didn’t have many options left.

This is a lovely little teashop serving hot and cold food and drink. The cakes are luscious and excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Will definitely visit again when we are in Whitstable.

WOW JUST WOW. Its a must visit. Up The Kitchen. The interior is not tacky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner is absolutely lovely and an outstanding teacher.

Came here by chance yesterday Sunday my normal cafe was closed. Fantastic latta in a large glass lovely. Home made scone nice and warm. Will be back very soon with my lovely wife 💕

My boyfriend and I stopped off this afternoon as our walk was interrupted by torrential rain! The cafe is super cute and very clean. We sat down with menus and ordered at the counter. All staff are incredibly friendly, order was taken efficiently. Our food arrived and it was delicious and fresh. We had a slice of cake to finish which was really delicious. Highly recommend for a coffee pitstop in Whitstable.

Coffee, cheese on toast and shared cake

Lovely hot chocolate, and cappuccino all provided with a Biscoff biscuit. Staff are so polite and helpful. Also dog friendly which was a plus for our dog :) would highly recommend to anyone.

Found by chance as we walked along the high street. What a delightful find, a warm and friendly greeting from the staff. An excellent coffee and a warm mince pie. Would recommend so nice to go into an independent coffee shop.

Not impressed this time around was told by a young lady that if we wanted cake at 3.20pm when the cafe closes at 4pm we could only take away as they were starting to clear away and wash up, outrageous!!! My friend and I walked out and found something better.

Lovely cup of tea friendly service

Me and my partner came in here to find her some lunch as she is quite squeamish when it comes to seafood - mussels/oysters especially - so she ordered a gammon, cheese and marmalade ciabatta sandwich with salad that to be fair I was quite envious of. I had a black Americano, as I had a half-dozen oysters for lunch from The Forge. Not too busy, and quite comfortable. A good place to get out from the rain most definitely, with prompt service.

Visited Whitstable for the day. Nice reasonably priced cafe, sat outside, watch out for the cheeky sparrows, friendly staff, would deffo visit again ...

We were greeted by very friendly staff for both us and our dogs. The outside space was a oasis of calm. We received very generous portions using first class ingredients. Would definitely recommend this highly.
