The best breakfast ever! The food is delicious, amazing quality, fresh. The staff are absolutely lovely and always welcoming. Hot chocolates are amazing.

Always a great breakfast, always so fresh and great quality of food. And always happy to accommodate fussy eaters/changes to dishes

Visited with a friend for a late breakfast/lunch. We had two full English breakfast's which were well cooked. Sausages were superior to other local cafes as they are sourced by a local butchers, and the hash browns were very nice. The cappuccino was perfect, no biscuit with it though unfortunately, and the coffees are not included as part of the breakfast which brings the price up. Total cost 15.95 per person, which is a tad expensive, I’d be happy to pay the 12.95 with coffee included for the extra quality ingredients but overall it was a nice meal. Will visit again when in the area.

Been a regular visitor to this cafe for a couple of years now always go with some old work colleagues a great place to meet up now we’re all retired, the food is excellent the cafe is very clean and welcoming the staff are always friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Lovely staff, very clean and tidy, the inside was well kept and nice. Lovely open fire in outside inlcosed area. Food was very very nice.

We’ve been coming for years so I thought it was time to finally write a review. In approx nine years of breakfasts and cake visits the Kitchen Cafe hasn’t let us down once. Brilliant breakfasts, great kids options, local produce and friendly staff. Not going to lie; we have tried other places locally but none even come close. The only thing stopping us visiting more often is it’s good to be able to keep your toes in sight.

We are frequent visitors to The Kitchen Cafe and have been for several years. We love it. Great food, great staff and would highly recommend.

This cafe is just outside of Romsey and has free parking - so rather than meet a friend in the town centre, meet here instead! The staff are very friendly & helpful, range of food has something for everyone and there are slightly unusual cakes as well. The breakfasts seem to be popular as at weekends are lots of regulars treating themself to a full English or any number of other options. All seating is indoors. There is a good butcher on the same site around the back which is worth a visit too. A good independent business which deserves to be supported!

Not a bad breakfast, little bit expensive, staff could be more welcoming, we had a dog and was told not welcome, even though they have an outside area under cover, lots of people had dogs but had to leave in there cars

Visit regularly from north of Stockbridge. The best breakfast we have - always. High quality ingredients. Very reasonable prices. Top quality service. Consistently exceptional all round. Why go elsewhere. The choice is amazing for breakfast, lunch or snacks - afternoon tea etc. something for everyone. Strongly recommended.

Went to the kitchen cafe today with a friend as always enjoyed the food. Not the case today! 2 hairs were on my eggs, luckily I spotted it as soon as they were put down, so pointed it and the lady apologised and said she would bring another. 5 minutes later she brought another with yet another black hair. So not sure if it was fresh or they just served the old ones. I hate complaining so did not send it back again but this time cannot even remember receiving an apology. Whoever was in charge should have come out at the very least and apologised in person. It was not very busy so maybe they have gone down hill and I have not heard about it. Very disappointing, will not be back!

Post Covid review. A lot has changed in the world in the past few years since i last reviewed this business, thankfully the kitchen cafe isnt one of them. The same great service, locally sourced excellent produce and all cooked to perfection. The best breakfast ive had still. If you havent been there and had breakfast you are missing something from your life!!

Well what can I say. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and I’ve had a few. Lovely fresh local produce. Busy for a reason.

We have been to the Kitchen Cafe on several occasions in the last few years and we are guarnteed a good cooked breakfast, brunch or light lunch. Service is good and we have not experienced any problems.

Great, good value food with friendly service in this nice, clean cafe. All day breakfasts and jacket potatoes were lovely with good quality coffee / hot chocolates.

Found this lovely cafe browsing on Trip Advisor. Great place, good menu and great value - full cooked breakfast with tea or coffee for £9.95. So much scrambled egg and salmon for £7.50 - not sure how they make a profit on it. Will definitely be back again - clean tidy well presented and great food at great prices.

If you want a fab breakfast go here. The Owtons sausages are to die for!!! We went there on a Sunday at 12noon and they coped with precision, each worker knew their job so things went smoothly. I was fasinated with the way clean sauce bottle tops were put on before being used again. Their menu is immense to cover all food requirements. Well the crew!!! Mike.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and it’s always excellent. Most recently visited a couple of times whilst out on the bike during the week. Opted for the veggie breakfast (easier to cycle home on than a full English!), it’s great value at £6.95 including toast and coffee. Friendly, quick service and nice and warm in the outer area thanks to the wood burner.

We go to this cafe on a regular basis and can't fault it in any way..they have just reopened after their Xmas break which was well deserved...unfortunately a breakin happened in early December that was very disturbing for all of the staff. But they were up and running the day after...we will be looking forward to many more visits in the coming year and hang some of those fabulous bacon baps...mmmmmmmm. Excellent breakfast. I had the full English, my partner had the traditional and her daughter had the vegetarian. We were all really pleased with the well prepared food and wonderful friendly staff. Definitely going to be going here again.

I take a family of two adults and two small children here for breakfast or lunch every month when I visit Romsey. Unfailingly great food, very reasonably priced and very helpful staff, particularly regarding small children. Whilst waiting for food they love to wander round looking at the tropical fish. Thoroughly recommend!

went there for the 1st time on Sunday arrived at 9.58 cafe was full by 10.20. decent breakfast with no cheap sausages or bacon all top-notch would defo go there again one of the best-cooked breakfast I have ever had.

We had been recommended to go here, and were not disappointed, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the way the outdoor seating was actually indoors by all the plants, felt like being outside with out the normal weather and wasp worries.

The breakfast here is fantastic. Really good value and generous portions. £7.95 for a full English breakfast with side order of toasted sourdough and a tea or coffee. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend getting there at 9am (opening time) on a Saturday and just before 10am on a Sunday to ensure you have a seat as it’s very popular .

Well i can not believe i have lived so close to this little gem amd only just discovered it. We recently visited for lunch, partner had full english, i had the special sausage, bacon and egg bap, very surprised at the quality for the money, so clean, staff very friendly and efficient, absolutely no faults can be given and i cant wait to visit again and try something else on the menu. Thankyou for giving us a new option

I have eaten here on a number of occasions now and have never had anything but a delicious breakfast! Great value, locally sourced meat, awesome coffee and the cake is pretty good as well! Staff are very friendly and helpful. A definite hidden gem.

I'm so lucky to live literally opposite this cafe! The food is amazing! Always cooked to perfection! The sausages are definitely my favourite! Never to much trouble to make up a breakfast with certain items for my fussy children. The staff are so friendly, helpful and polite! Would highly recommend this place

This busy café is located within a plant Nursery, in addition to very nice sandwiches etc. they offer several variations of an All Day Breakfast which keeps customers coming back again and again. They never fail to deliver a top class dish, every item cooked just how you specify. Visiting family and friends always get brought here for the Breakfasts and they love it.

this is an undiscovered gem. Simple food done well superb quality products and the best breakfast in the south ( i haven't tried the north but i bet they are no better!!!)

This place is amazing, the food is phenomenal, prepared with fine ingredients and very quickly, the staff are always very friendly, polite & helpful. It can get busy even in winter (the woodburner helps with this) but we've never had to wait too long for a table. As a side note, the plants at cedar nurseries are also of a good quality at a reasonable price & the staff are extremely knowledgeable. It's a win win combination they've got going.

We love coming to The Kitchen Cafe, on this special occasion there were 12 of us and two toddlers. We were all served our piping hot breakfast at the the same time which looked amazing, and tasted even better!! The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. We all highly recommend this great little cafe!!

Good service and very busy . We arrived just after opening and all the tables were gone before 10.20 so I guess there are a few regulars on a Sunday morning! Very clean and kitchen on view. No gluten free sausages though and the gluten free bread bears no comparison to the lovely sourdough that is served to non celiacs . It is a white small sliced offering and only one slice.

What a lovely full English breakfast. It was a busy Sunday morning but we didn't have to wait to long, everything was cooked fresh. We've eaten here before and have never been disappointed. The cafe is very clean the staff are very warm and friendly. Good for family, friends, cyclists and bikes, everyone seems to be welcome. We have been using the nursery for years. Both need to be visited you won't be disappointed.

Tucked away, inside Cedar Nurseries, the Kitchen Cafe was a recommendation from friends. Arriving, I thought it might be a mistake, but once inside the unprepossessing external doors, a really pleasant surprise awaited. The cafe is warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean and with a nice atmosphere - a wood-burner was lit in the outer area.

This is up there with my most favourite full English breakfasts of all time! All the food is cooked to perfection and the sausages are proper! Not those cheap bought ones lol does get busy but I like the fact it’s tucked away a bit not in a busy location.

What a great find. We had the day off so thought we would venture out for breakfast. We have had so many disappointing ones recently and we thought we would try somewhere different. The Kitchen cafe is clean and nicely decorated with welcoming staff. The breakfasts were hot, nicely presented with a lovely thick slice of sour bread toast on the side. Good quality sausages and bacon and well worth the price. Traditional breakfast was about £6.95 and the largest breakfast was about £8.95 both included a standard tea or coffee. We chose to upgrade to flat whites which was an extra 40p. It was exactly what you expect from a great breakfast, lovely! We will definitely be returning.

The food and service here is always five star - why would you go anywhere else ?? Extra seating outdoors means we have always been able to get a table although there are busy times at the weekend.

Dropped in ten minutes before closing on a Sunday afternoon and didn't feel unwelcome. Had an excellent scone with average jam and the usual pot of clotted cream and I really enjoyed it. My friend had a rather delicious looking moist lemon drizzle cake. Well priced, clean surroundings and lots of colourful fresh flowers around the cafe. Will definitely be returning

We have visited several times now. Always greeted with happy friendly staff. The breakfasts are superb best in the area by far ,always great quality and beautifully presented. There is nothing locally that compares with the Kitchen Cafe.

My wife and I have eaten at this little gem of a place within a garden centre several times. We have had the cooked breakfast a couple of time as well as a family gathering for afternoon tea, which was catered for 10 people. On each occasion we have found the food to be freshly prepared to order, quite delicious and the staff extremely polite and attentive. Well worth visiting even if you don't want anything from the garden centre!
