no food....basic , old fashioned pub, nice people, not expensive, free car park. edit.....live music most Saturday night edit......the best thing about this place is that it hasn't changed, it a one constant in a changing world, it's not trying to be trendy, a destination, a gastrobar or anything else, just a good old fashioned locals bar, a community hub and one.of the last bastions of a proper English boozer

Great place particularly when they have live bands, great atmosphere and service with a smile. Private functions available which is also very good with catered food.

Went in with a group of service users on support work and was told I can’t have water with me so placed it in my bag, which still didn’t seem to satisfy. Then got stared at by one of the staff in an uncomfortable way. After seeing this and how awful the cup of tea looked I decided to go without food and won’t be returning.

Very friendly, excellent breakfasts, lively programme of events.

Chris and the team gave my daughter and son in law an amazing wedding do to remember. The food, bar staff and dj were all perfect. I would definitely recommend this as a venue if you are looking for one, as you will certainly be taken care of.

Just been to a wake for one of the aunties ,the staff were very respectful and the buffet was ample and freshly prepared. Very good experience for a sad occasion.

Nice pub. Has a pool table and lovely staff. No cranberry juice though, would be 5 stars if I could drink vodka and cranberry there.

Being a very very picky fussy eater ordered a build your own roast for lunch today. What can I say ??? Absolutely fab. We had a few during lockdown which were lovely but todays excelled. We had the beef which was cooked to perfection, spuds crispy and fluffy inside and gravy was to die for. Everything was cooked nicely as should be and very tasty. Can highly recommend to anyone wanting a roast and not wanting to actually cook it themselves. We'll done to the chef and all who contributed to the meal. 10 out of 10. Many thanks.

Amazing food, finally somewhere that serves a decent portion of gravy with a roast dinner! Very friendly staff, seemed to know their regulars well. We will definitely be back.

Il be honest that was the best roast dinner I've ever had, It looked and tasted amazing,. Really friendly staff, I didnt book but the owner managed to squeeze me in . Thanks.

Good food, good live music, friendly service.

It's a bit like the Faulty Towers of pubs. Rudest landlord imaginable who treats customers like something he stepped in. Seems hugely put out and annoyed by serving customers and doing his job. Lost my coat at the pub and asked the landlord repeatedly if he'd seen it but he hadn't and refused to let me look as though he thought searching for a coat was a criminal offense. Called the next day and it turned out my coat was there (probably would have found it sooner if he hadn't kicked me out of the pub the night before for looking for it) and when I went to pick it up he boomed out a hearty "don't come back anytime soon" which I gladly agreed to because I had no intention of returning anyway. My advise is for people to steer well clear of this pub. It's one of those local pubs for local people and if you're a new face they treat you like dirt.

Only for outside drinking. It was wonderful to be back to a pub again but not the £4.05 a pint of bitter.

The guys here are the best and the food is well nice - always so helpful and friendly. I used to come here a lot but moved away so hadn’t been here for two years or so. I come back and they’re still just as welcoming and helpful, and the food is amazing, especially for the price you pay. A+++

I met up with a few friends for breakfast at the kings. The food is reasonably priced and cooked to order and very good indeed. You pay per item that you order which is very good as you have what you want. Looking forward to my next visit.

Exelent food, just had the build your own sunday roast and it was spot on!! The service was great and the price was worth it. Deffo recommend for a descent roast.

I am a regular at the Kings, also my parents are too, the owners are thr nicest people you could ever meet, the food is cooked all fresh to order, very reasonable too I give 10 out of 10 😉👍🥂

The Son that is not long out of his nappy will not serve a 15 year regular.. very un happy.. I have collected glasses when they are very busy and even been given a free⁰. meal with much respect!!! The Land lady is so lovely,its a shame her Son thinks he is the Boss !!! Lost my custom.

When we visited here there was a band playing called the sky lizards, excellent music and a great atmosphere with plenty of people up dancing! Apperently live music is a regular thing here, just glad I came, had a great night.
