A nice quirky place - lofty and nicely done out. But because its probably a converted bank can be noisy. Service excellent and the food tasty. Ideal venue for loads of young people having their own fun lacks an intimacy. But we'll worth a try.

Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly, they brought biscuits and water for the dogs. The manager spoke with my son for ages to check food allergies. 😁 We went for a family birthday and ages ranged from 13 to 70 and everyone was happy!

Excellent service and great food. Such a lovely atmosphere in the evenings with all the candles. Tapas Tuesday is such a good deal!

Fun location and vibe but let down by the food for the price. The fries are particularly bad value given the amount they give you. Drinks are well priced and the staff are friendly.

Nice place with good food but won't go there anymore. Can never get a seat. They let students order one drink and then sit there on their laptops using the free WiFi for hours. A busy Saturday and nearly every table had students on using laptops, some even playing cards! Not a single meal between them and all had empty glasses. One person sitting on their own at the sofa tables designed for 6 people, no food no drink just a laptop. We, who wanted to eat and drink, had to go somewhere else. Might as well be a student library or common room. Shame.

Came here for my birthday, the staff were friendly and lovely, the food was good. We had two milkshakes and they were really delicious. The service wasn’t fast however it was extremely busy! The interior decor is very quirky, lots of paintings of portraits on the walls. Very nice atmosphere in here regardless! Would 100% come again.

As a regular, it's a great place relax after a long day's work. They have good food, well presented, and as for the staff, well as Tina Turner sang they are 'simply the best'. putting a smile 😃 on my face even on the darkest of days.

Didn't have food, but this is a good place for a meeting and coffee. Plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. Good mix of tables and soft furnishings so you have a choice based on how you feel. Coffee is good, recommend the Flat White, service is always warm and welcoming. A grand building with lots of character, making it an excellent meeting place, coffee stop or place to eat.

They made a balloon hat for the guest of honour in our party. What's not to like!

Beautifully decorated, no atmosphere but maybe because it was a lunchtime. Food was nice but expensive for what we had especially as chips were cold.

Generally, my rule is not to dine in chain restaurants with large menus as the food is pre made with no real flair or personality. I have to say in this case I was pleasantly surprised. Best haloumi fries I have ever tried! It was good and nicely decorated if your nearby and want a quick bite, then give it a try

Standard 'Lounge' food. Reasonable quality and reasonable price. Cocktails great as usual. Bit lacking in atmosphere compared other Lounges I've visited. No staff welcoming people on arrival.

Part of a chain. Soooooooo GOOD. Epic old architecture large building. Chill vibe. Came here to work on my laptop. Stayed for huge vegan breakfast chosen from an entirely vegan menu. Lovely staff. Quiet at 10am on a Tuesday. Just made my day/trip actually. Good wifi too

My partner and I went for brunch/breakfast, there were lots of options available and the food was delicious.

The place looks lovely. We popped in for lunch. The place for quite busy. The bar staff looked overwhelmed. Everyone was very lovely. We ordered a burger and Nasi Goreng. Tje burger was okay but the Nasi Goreng was horrible. They put so much oil I felt sick. Shame as we would come back again but definitely not for the food.

Great venue, food and service and good value

Popped in here Saturday night just for a drink, liked the atmosphere & vibe so decided to come back the next day for lunch. Had tasty beef brisket chilli & spicy rice & enjoyed it immensely. Very reasonable prices too.

Love this place , the tapas are fantastic, we actually think the Lounge offers some of the best food in Falmouth. We tried the new menu today ( lamb shwarma) and as per, it was fab. The front of house staff are always friendly.

Always a great place to come for food or drinks. Staff behind the bar are always polite and friendly. The food is great and they cater to dietary requirements with a separate menu for gluten free and vegan. There is always a good atmosphere! :)

Certainty not a patch on other Lounges. Must be a very poor copy. Wondered why it was almost empty at lunchtime, now we know. Not worth telling staff as they had already insulted another would be customers by sarcastically wishing them “Have a nice Day” while smirking behind their backs as they left.

It's a lounge, you know what you are getting. On the major plus side is that Tapas actually is Tapas sized... but obviously much more expensive than Spain or Portugal. Staff were efficient and really cheerful so must be a good place to work. We keep going back sousy be OK.

I love the food here, it's a great selection and most dishes are balanced or at least garnished in a way that they both look good and you don't feel completely guilty for eating ;) I'd say you get a decent amount of food for the price and the mobile order-to-table experience is seamless, with a section to write notes if you need customisation. Definitely would recommend for a place to study with a coffee, a proper breakfast, or a meal with friends and/or family :)

Thursday 24th August 2023, After being in Falmouth art gallery for five hours at the King Arthur Exhibition my husband and I were in need of refreshments. Just across the round from the gallery was the ‘Palacio Lounge’, where my husband and I went for refreshments. We were given a warm welcome and we found a nice table where we had a pot of tea and a hazelnut latte and rested for a while before starting back up Warren Hill to the car park. This is a nice place with a lively atmosphere and friendly staff.

I was greeted upon entering. Then nothing. Despite wait staff doing wait work on the left and right of me, nothing. I turned my chair so I was facing the bar across the broad open floor. Nothing. As I left I mentioned to the barman that I appeared to be invisible and I was certain others would be happy to accept my money.

Came here with a group of friends. Food and drinks weren’t bad. Service was good and pricing is very fair.

Whenever im in a town my first choice for food is a lounge and thankfully falmouth has a very nice lounge just in middle of town, very clean venue with great food and drink the 4 of us had a lovely lunch, would recommend

We called on the off chance and although the place was relatively quiet for a Saturday eve, we were very pleased with the choice, value, quality and service. All the staff were lovely and welcoming!

Poor service - no check back, there was lots of flies due to hot day fair enough but the salad was tiny for price and then couldn’t eat half of it as swarmed with flies, as someone who works in hospitality- need some fly traps.

Hit and miss. Eggs and bacon were good. Broccoli and Stilton soup tasted of neither and wasn't pleasant.

Disappointing Visit to what is usually a very reliable chain known for good service. 40 minute wait for food which was appalling for a venue that was 25% full. No apology given….

Went fir a late breakfast/brunch with family. Staff on duty were very helpful, and food met our expectations. Very happy, (and full!)

Walked in on a Tuesday evening looking for somewhere for a meal, we received a a really lovely and warm welcome unlike many of the other restaurants and pubs that we have visited this week on our holiday. We ordered via the QR code on the table and our food and drinks were delivered within 10 minutes, all meals were really lovely and the portion sizes were great, excellent value for money too, we were looked after by 3 different staff members, all of which were happy, polite and made us feel valued. Thank you so much.

Food was nice but it took 45 minutes from ordering which isn’t ideal. People are friendly enough but it wasn’t busy enough to warrant such a long wait. Perhaps they rely on students during the summer holidays and were low staffed.

We visited with our dog, we were looking for somewhere dog friendly that we could sit inside as the weather was dodgy and found this absolute gem of a place. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food great and the staff really friendly and especially made a fuss of our little blind dog. The decor was gorgeous and I wish we could visit more often but sadly we are not local, thank you for a lovely lunch!

We dropped by for breakfast, it been a long time since we last visited. Weirdly someone who works in the Bowgie Inn had told us one can only via an app here now, this turns out to be untrue. (Don't have a problem with apps but like to be able to go the bar as well). Anyhow I digress. We both ebjoyed our brekkies delivered via the app and afterwards we went to the bar and got drinks. Service was friendly and efficient. There are some very opportunistic seagulls outside who were having a good meal on the next door table bar one. Left over food not collected during our stay. Another customer decided to shoo the bird away which caused it to fly off in our direction narrowly missing flying into me. Think that whoever is clearing tables needs to keep an eye on this. PS having just read your other reviews I was concerned to read the poster who is having problems getting their money refunded after not having thdir deposit taken off their bill. It suggests a manager who needs customer service training among other things. It is this sort of review that I take a lit of note of, who wants that sort of hassle.

The food was pretty good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, service was very slow as it took over an hour and a half from ordering to receive a main and desert. I do appreciate it was moderately busy and the staff did apologise but personally for me I don’t think I will return. As I said before, the food was good but not worth waiting that long for.

Booked a meal for a family birthday and was told to pay a £40 deposit. Arrived with a party of 8, and enjoyed a pretty nice meal, no complaints with the meal or the servers, all very pleasant. Paid and left. However, when we later tallied up the bill, we realised that the £40 deposit was not deducted. Assumed this would be an easy fix and so partner called to request this deposit was returned. Was told that "refunds" are not given, but could have a credit note. I then called and explained that we were not requesting a refund, but that we we had overpaid for the food and drink we had. Was again told that we would not be given this, but I could speak to a manager who later called as promised. Was told they would "Give a refund this time, but under the terms and conditions they did not have to, but would as a gesture this one time." Dictionary definition of a deposit: a sum payable as a first instalment on the purchase of something or as a pledge for a contract, the balance being payable later. As said, they overcharged us. We were not seeking a refund, but a return of the money the should not have taken on the night of the meal. Due to this, can only give a two star review which otherwise would have been a solid four. Certainly will not eat there again, really poor attitude and response to dealing with this issue, and I am offended the manager acted like they were doing us a favour by giving back what they should not have taken. Anyway, a week later, still no sign of our money.

White visiting Falmouth for the day we stopped at the restaurant for brunch to help fill us up for the day ahead. Having visited other branches of this chain we were looking forward to our meal here and we were definitely not disappointed. As a group of six we chose various dishes from the breakfast menu, some having the poached eggs and avocado on toast and other having the normal and larger full breakfasts. We were pleased to see a whole Gluten Free menu and were told to order at the bar so the manager could make sure it was marked with an allergen. Overall the dishes were presented nicely and tasted great!

Big fan of the lounges chain but this has to be the worst one I have ever visited. Avoid. Food was burnt and not to its normal standard. Will not be returning to the Falmouth lounge again. Avoid. Nicer Cornish pubs with better food, service and atmosphere

We ate here twice while visiting falmouth. The food and service was excellent, and we would recommend burgers, especially the Korean fried chicken burger and the lounge bacon cheeseburger, both good value and very tasty .The pub is also dog friendly, which is a plus.

Got our order wrong so I got the standard breakfast instead of the large. Rather annoying as I was looking forward to the black pudding, which I haven’t had for years. Then they got the bill wrong but that was sorted. Food was good, service was very good, but they will have to improve on their colleagues in St Ives, where everything was perfect.

They say we eat food. Yes, and we savor good atmosphere and great hospital. And smiles and good service are on the menu at Palacio, with friends staff and open spaces both inside and out. This interesting eatery in the heart of Falmouth is a nice spot to stop and savor affordable and well cooked comfort food and an interesting old building converted into a nice modern dining location. Has great spots inside and outside for guests.

Had a lovely exspirence, the staff were very engaging with our 2 year old we tried 6 plates of tapas that were fantastic. Has an amazing vintage decor . Was reasonably priced considering it's in falmouth. Will visit again

Lovely place. Went upstairs for sea shanty festival. Lives up to its name, very palatial.

Good food at a reasonable price, if you want something other than burgers and chips. This is the place to go!! Some outdoor seating, large seating areas indoors on two floors Very dark interior, but pleasantly decorated as was an old bank We sat outside in our first visit and indoors on our second visit!! Friendly, helpful staff and unintrusive music playing. Seems popular with students at certain times of the day. So if you want somewhere quiet, maybe this isn't the place to go

My go to place in Falmouth. Robert Galbraith (ie JK Rowling) describes the decor amusingly but fairly near the start of Troubled Blood. A great place to work, as they don't bother you to order more than you want.

Lovely place, shame the portions are not very generous. Would happily of paid a few more £'s to have left not feeling hungry. Tapas was lovely, flavours were gorgeous but would of needed 6 to have called it a meal. Will be back but ordering more ! Husband had chilli, again very tasty but as a main course it didn't fill him up either.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food, only the service, or lack of. We grabbed a table outside, waited 10 mins and a waitress eventually came out with drinks for the next table (only other customers outside). She walked towards us so I said "good morning" but she completely ignored us and went back inside. 5 mins later the same waitress came outside, walked around our table, and ignored us again. Realising we must be invisible we gave up and walked off. Had an amazing breakfast at the Windjammer, other end of town.

There was 0 welcome when we arrived and a staff member smoking right outside the door blowing smoke on those entering. We sat at a table upstairs that we saw available. We cleared up the table ourselves and proceeded to order our food through the QR scanner. I ordered the buttermilk chicken main and added a note to say no house slaw and I ordered Mac and cheese side. My friend ordered bang bang chicken and halloumi side. 20 minutes in a member of staff came up to tell us they couldn’t do the bang bang chicken without peas as it was pre-made. My friend then asked for another main and then was told that was pre-made too so she could have a substitute. Everything she asked about we were told was pre-made, my friend ended up ordering the buttermilk chicken too and wasn’t refunded for the price difference. 45 minutes after ordering our “pre-made” meals arrived and the notes we had added in our order were not noted. The buttermilk chicken was over cooked and dry, the Mac and cheese had a very funky taste and not edible and the halloumi side was just tasteless rubber. It all just tasted like frozen food just heated up. Might as well have gone to spoons if that’s what we were going to get. We both had just about half our chicken and left the halloumi and Mac and cheese. Just such a shame because we had high hopes

We visited twice. Loved the chilled atmosphere and quirky decor. We only had drinks...the milkshake wasn't great unfortunately and the servers were mixed. One server was dashing round appearing to do everything and we were ignored for a while at an empty bar with two servers on our first visit and was served by a very grumpy server the second time. Such a shame as I regularly go to a sister lounge in Warrington and it couldn't be more different.

Brilliant vegan food served all day. My ONLY criticism is that 2 out of 4 meals came together, and 10 minutes later (while the other two guests had nearly finished) the other two meals appeared. Aside from the timings for the table... most excellent!

We were so happy to find this for our meal, very easy to order online and could customise the food. Drinks came very quickly and food came soon after too. Very nice staff, efficient & happy to help. The food was delicious (halloumi burger), the chips were perfectly crispy. Lovely atmosphere & interiors on both floors, pretty fairy lights.

It's a Lounge, it's identical to all the othe Lounges that sprang up all over the country. You know what you are going to get, you know it'll be competent but un-exceptional.

The food here was amazing! Great pub food with a nice twist. Jaz was amazing and helped me understand the menu with my dyslexia. She made the atmosphere all the best, would definitely go back.

I didn't get my order only fries. 4 of us n my food was put on other persons plate.they asked me to take it off plate I didn't find this very hygienic. So I got another lunch without fries mine were cold. Really bad for price. I wasn't happy. Thanks for asking
