The King's Head Harvester in Surrey Heath

Used to love going to the Kings Head and have been doing so since around 1966 in one or another of its guises. As it was a lovely day, I thought I would stop and have a beer in the garden. I have never seen a pub garden is such a terrible condition. Some of the tables couldn't be sat at as they are too rickety, fag buts everywhere, used paper green and yellow serviettes strewn around the garden, ash trays in the grass, used Lurpak cartons under every bench, some umbrellas in pieces others fallen over, bin overflowing and the garden empty on a sunny day! There's a real chance of children picking up splinters from the wooden benches or the damaged fences surrounding the garden. Such a shame the premises aren't well cared for anymore, I won't return!

Absolutely fantastic meal! The food was amazing and so obviously freshly cooked. The staff were helpful, friendly and approachable - our waitress, Debbie, was especially great and it made the meal our feel like we were special guests or valued friends - even though it was our first trip there. Highly recommend this pub for anyone wanting a friendly atmosphere and sublime food.

We love coming here and had another good experience. A warm welcome, excellent food and great service from the staff,especially Lauren who is always so cheerful and chatty. Look forward to coming back.

Firstly I would like to say the service was appalling, our waitress was very condescending and rude and should not be in the hospitality industry. Our waitress even made a member of our party cry as she was very abrupt towards her The salad bar wasn’t fully stocked. And the refill machine for the drinks at first was completely flat. However the manager politely apologised and went to fix the issue this was about the only good interaction we had received. Also when we asked for 4 refills just the glasses the Young lady who brought the glasses over proceeded to just slam the glasses down on the table and walk away. The food was below average but the tomahawk was shocking over done burnt to a crisp and inedible meaning another of our party whose birthday it was went without a proper meal, the sides (mac & cheese) after a few mouthfuls tasted like sick. Overall the experience we had this evening was shocking and we will not be returning in the future.

I took my son for a birthday treat meal here this evening, March 26. Table booked for 7pm, wasn’t served till 8pm. When eventually the waitress came over, we started to give our order, my daughter spoke quite clearly, but the waitress kept saying to her what, can’t hear you, so my daughter practically shouted her order to her, the waitress tutted at her. My daughter in law, was asking about the flatbreads, and what her speciation that she wanted, she asked to swap out the fried onions for raw onions, we can’t do that you’ll have to get that from the salad bar, ok was our reply, my daughter in law asked to just have chicken with her flatbread, waitress, what chicken, just chicken is that it, you know it’s a lunchtime meal, so it won’t be big. (The way she spoke to my daughter in law was unacceptable, rude) she the decided that she’ll have a burger instead. Waitress, practically snapped at her NO BURGERS. Again very rude. She made her cry. Disgraceful. We asked a few minutes to decide, waitress walked away. I went to get a drink, as I walked past the waitress, she stopped me, and said, is she going to order something as I can’t take anyone else’s order till she decides what she wants. Waitress went back to our table, and an order was placed. The salad bar was practically empty. Disappointing. The soft drink refill machine was dirty, didn’t work properly, and the gasses had run out, told the manager that the drinks were flat. She did sort it straight away. Eventually when we received our food my son was so excited about his meal, but the tommyhalk pork chop was burnt to a crisp, and inedible. The waitress said when I complained, that she looked at it before bringing it to the table it looked burnt, but she continued to deliver it to our table. I refused to pay for that meal. We used to line this restaurant, but with the way we were treated this evening, I won’t be returning back there again

Lovely lady served us, but sadly 2 members of our party became unwell after eating, paying nearly £100 for a meal that gave 2 people a bad stomach? We won’t be returning.

We went for a family lunch at the Harvester Frimley Green and was served by Michelle. Michelle was very accommodating and receptive to our needs a credit to the Harvester brand.

Good food, good value for money. Helpful and friendly servers. Would be good if there was a Gluten Free menu instead of using the tablet as the server didn't seem confident with what was gluten free and what wasn't without speaking to the chef.

Lovely evening with very yummy food. Autumn was an absolutely great waitress, very attentive and helpful. We had a voucher which made the food very affordable but would’ve happily paid full price!

We have a great experience and received excellent customer service from Rachael. She was knowledgeable and goes above and beyond at every turn. She is a credit to the company. Definitely come again.

It’s been a very long time since I have eaten in a harvester. We came for a quick afternoon lunch and I was so pleasantly surprised at how good it was for a family restaurant. Service was really good!! Debbie was very helpful and friendly and the food was way above my expectations meat was cooked beautifully and portions were large. Will definitely be coming here again!

Came here for an evening meal on Sunday. Semi busy but was served straight away. The food was excellent and the prices were decent. Staff were excellent, especially Rachael, which made our evening nice. Pork Belly was excellent.

My friends went to the harvester at frimley green on (18/01/2024). I hadn’t been there for many years because of the bad experiences. My friends said that they had changed for the better so I agreed to have a meal with them on 25/01/2024. What a disaster. NEVER AGAIN.. We got there to no welcome. A woman who looked very unhappy showed us to our table. We were told that we couldn’t have any salad until we ordered. We had to order our drinks first. After a while we got our drinks and were allowed to order our meals. We were told a number of meals were not available. We were finally given bowls for the salad. The salad was ok but unfortunately the rolls were stale. When the meals arrived my friend told this lady that her chips were the wrong sort (she had ordered the dirty chips). The woman serving told her that she had got what she ordered. There was a small disagreement and as it didn’t look like the chips were going to be changed my friend decided to keep them. I had a sirloin steak which was burnt and the whole meal was cold. Nobody asked me if my steak was ok so I just ate it. There were seven of us eating and there was a very frosty atmosphere. After our meal we decided to have a pudding. It was at this time that the lady told us that the ice cream machine was not working. We looked at the menu but there was not much we could have because most of the menu was ice cream. We were offered cake and foam cream. We then decided to pay the bill but even this was hard work. We had a 40% discount voucher off the main meal and the lady had trouble working out the bill. There was a discrepancy in the bill. It was at this time that I found out she had given me extra chips. She had asked me when I ordered my meal if I wanted large or small chips. I said large thinking that I wanted fat chips, not fries. I didn’t know that I had ordered extra chips. We paid the bill and could not get out of there fast enough. PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T ANYBODY TALK ME INTO GOING BACK THERE AGAIN.

Decided to pop in with the family for lunch to treat ourselves. Was greeted at the door by a charming young man who introduced himself (Joe) and he was very obliging as we wanted to sit in a quieter area as had older members of the family with us who struggle to hear if there is too much noise. We were then introduced to our server (Dan) . The menu had changed since we were last here and Dan was very patient with us as he explained new items that may be of interest. We had a very lovely meal with quick service and a very attentive server. We have been several times to this restaurant but have noticed that the staffing and running of the restaurant has vastly improved. Will definitely recommend it to others.
