The Kings Head offers a great atmosphere whether you are seeking a night out with friends or a quiet drink. The pub has an impressive selection of drinks, from beers to wines, you have a great choice. Having previously visited I can say the food is excellent, whether going for breakfast or something more hearty that satisfy many tastes. Very friendly staff and a great landlord…lively ambiance makes it a perfect spot for drinks and food!!

This is a great pub and ideal for a few drinks with friends. Landlord is really friendly and is a well kept pub. I’ve tried the breakfast too which is absolute quality. The flowers outside really do make the pub so welcoming and it really does look great around sidbury. Definitely worth popping in for a few pints.

A great pub on the edge of town with excellent food and regular events on. Have had the roast here on Sundays with family and it hasn't disappointed yet. Pub layout has plenty of options, tabled indoor seeating, courtyard (great for big screen sports and for bands/DJ's) and the outdoor canal side area. There's also an upstairs room, used for busy periods. The Guinness is spot on too... some might say the best in Worcester... maybe the world!?

I recently visited The Kings Head in Worcester for a Sunday dinner with a friend. The staff were incredibly polite and pleasant, which set a positive tone for the visit. However, there were a few things that could have been improved. Firstly, they didn't ask about any allergies, which felt like an oversight, especially when serving a traditional Sunday roast. When the meal arrived, the carrots were a bit too salty for my taste. The beef was quite fatty, and despite being told it would come out pink, it wasn't quite as pink as expected. Additionally, I prefer my gravy on the side, but it was already poured over the dinner. I also wasn’t offered any condiments, such as salt, pepper, or sauces, which felt like a missed opportunity for better seasoning. That being said, the meal overall was nice. The greens were particularly good, and the Yorkshire pudding was lovely. I enjoyed the food, and I ate all of it. However, I did feel that the £25 price tag for two courses, when you couldn’t just order a single Sunday dinner, was a bit steep. It would have been nice to have the option of just the roast without paying for a starter or dessert. A small issue I noticed was the state of the toilets. There were cobwebs on the light shades, and the hand dryer didn’t work, which is a real pet peeve of mine. There were no paper towels available either, so I had to use toilet roll to dry my hands. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon, but there are definitely areas that could be improved, particularly regarding the pricing structure, condiments, and bathroom facilities.

I don’t know if it was some sort of staff joke or dare, but the’ smoked chicken’ side that came with my mac cheese was uncooked looking, unappealing, and tasted like a hybrid of bacon and rubber. The service was lacklustre too.

Food was appalling. We went for Sunday lunch. The potatoes and vegetables were undercooked and the Yorkshire pudding was stone cold - it was like it had come straight out of the fridge. My partner has the gnocchi which came with spinach. It clearly hadnt been washed and was covered in mud. We were told this was not mud and was in fact chocolate brownie???? Do not go here and waste your money. It was shocking.

Not bad but strange experience, after waiting a while we were asked if we’d like to order food so we asked if we could order drinks to be told we may have to wait a while, so then when we asked we were told we should order drinks at the bar, that’s fine but let us know when we arrive! Food was fine, roasties were more like boiled potato, parsnips rock hard, but the rest was lovely! Anything we asked for seemed to be a bit of a hassle, don’t get me wrong one of the staff (younger lady) serving was fantastic! Topped off by asking for warm milk with a coffee…. We don’t do warm milk? You do milk, yes…. You have ways to heat things, yes…. But we don’t do warm milk! Okay! We had a wonderful time as a family and didn't let it bother us but certainly won’t be going back, there is so much amazing competition in Worcester! We mainly gave it a try as they show rugby!

Mother's Day - family table booking for lunch... firstly there was no warm welcome and the atmosphere was sterile. Staff seemed quite cool/frosty and not in a hurry to serve. After sitting for quite some time hoping someone would take a drinks order, we asked... only to be told it would be quicker if we went to the bar ourselves! Food was average - flavours were good but beef a bit tough, parsnips and carrots too hard to eat! Cauliflower cheese was yummy. We love the Rugby but the room dedicated to this was cold and semi-outdoors with hard metal chairs. The screen was a great size but sound was only coming from the back of the room so couldn't be heard. Lacked atmosphere and just left us all feeling a bit 'meh'.

Called here with friends without booking on Sunday afternoon, initially planned just a drink, but then decided to eat from the bar menu. Staff were welcoming, friendly and although the pub was not busy, there were enough people there to give it a nice relaxed atmosphere. All of us opted for the "Mac-n-cheese" - 3 of us with smoked brisket and 1 went for the vegetarian option. The food was superb - plenty of it (probably too much actually), piping hot, very tasty and no complaints whatsoever. Again, service was great and exceptionally friendly. We will come here again.

We originally wanted to hire the Anchor @ diglis but the landlord there was so unresponsive and rude, meeting Matt at the kings head was a breath of fresh air, he made our wedding day and party the best day of lives. We had over 100 guests and Matt and his team could not have been more helpful, polite and tried to help and grant our wishes and requests. The venue is gorgeous and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ll regularly be back. We had a family lunch at The Kings Head Worcester. The food was excellent the roast beef was perfectly cooked and plentiful, the other meals were also excellent, and the service was good. I would have given five stars, however, when one member of the family asked for extra gravy it was an extra£2.00!!!! and when I asked for Horseradish sauce it was an extra £1.00, when the extra gravy arrived it was in a very small gravy boat, even worse the horseradish sauce was in a tiny pot containing no more than a teaspoon of sauce!! I was disgusted!!! An excellent meal ruined by penny pinching

This place has been refurbished and trust me it’s very cool. Friendly staff and a great setting, on the canal. Less than 5 minutes from the Cathedral. We got there early for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. My roast beef was a joy, cooked perfectly, quality meat and a pretty decent portion (which I rarely find myself writing). The largest Yorkshire pudding was fun but most importantly the roast potatoes were perfect. My wife had the spinach mushroom and feta wellington. She loved it and I managed to try a forkful. The new owners have excelled themselves in every way. The inside and outside is now completely renovated which makes it very cosy and comfortable with a relaxed vibe; food is now served every day from 1200-2030 with a roast on Sundays. The food is absolutely great; a pub menu that makes you want to try everything with the right mixture of tradition and modernity, executed perfectly. The triple cooked chips are delicious. By far the best chips in the local area; we had these with our fresh haddock, curry sauce, and mushy peas - all of which was tasty, not greasy and left you very satisfied. 11/10 We also tried the shin of beef pie with mashed potatoes. This too was a triumph. A real pie, not just a dish of brown mess with some cheap pasty on the top. This pie has flavour, was full of tender meat and the pastry wasn't greasy or too rich as can sometimes be the case! 10/10 For a starter we had the gorgonzola croquettes with pickled walnuts. Lovely texture, delightfully salty, sweet, sour and with plenty of umami. 8/10 All in all, I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes on their small but well thought out menu. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the portion size certainly makes food here a good deal. £3.5-7 a starter, £11-15 for a normal main. The aged steaks are more expensive. The service is relaxed and friendly and the wait time for food was not long. Total cost for our meal (1 starter and 2 mains with 2 drinks) £40. We have eaten at so many pubs in central Worcester and none of them come anywhere close to here. Thank you so much for the great food. I'll be back very soon to try the other tempting dishes you have on your menu! If I were to change a couple of things it would be; improve your drinks selection - more interesting local beers and a better selection of wine. Your food is so good it deserves a fitting beverage! :)

Absolutely superb place. The food, wine and service was first class. I cannot believe that someone called Steven McCabe has posted a one star review simply because he couldn't get through on the telephone to book a table. What an idiot! People like him have no idea how damaging this can be to a new owner who has taken over the business- and as this 'Steve' hasn't even eaten at the venue his review should not be allowed. Anyway, do not be put off as this place is simply wonderful. The Old Rectifying House was always one of my favorite pub/ eateries in Worcester and it remains so under its new name of Yeliz. Also, Isabella, the ladie who looked after us was amazing- so attentive and helpful. Ten out of ten 👍

I attended Cafe Cadena recently with a group of seven people for the 'Bottomless Brunch'. The venue itself is nice; we were seated upstairs along with other groups which led to a good atmosphere and the selection and quality of drinks were good. However, we did unfortunately experience some issues with our experience. We were asked to pre-order our food in advance (the point of this being to ensure no problems with group orders), yet there was an issue whereby one of the orders was wrong. This meant food had to be sent back and one person received their food later than the rest of the group. Also, the portion sizes and quality of the food was poor. The tapas plates were very small and even the 'mains' item was not substantial. The Bottomless Brunch cost £35 per person for 90 minutes, but this felt slightly excessive due to the issues with the food. I would not pay for this again, however, would return to the venue for a drink.
