Possible the most disappointing fish and chips I’ve ever had. Both my wife and ordered it and when it arrived it was almost thrown at us and the staff member ran off. It was a case of hunt for the fish amongst the batter. Sent email of complaint and received a standard response. We’ve had breakfast here in the past which we enjoyed and that’s why it’s three stars and not one.

don't know where to start really, despite being almost empty food took 30 mins, cask beer completely flat that was not first choice as online menu not kept up to date, coffee machine left unfilled, dirty tables everywhere left uncleaned. I like Wetherspoons but this was very poor experience all round

Cheap drinks but probably the worst Wetherspoons we know. Very unkempt, despite a refurb a few years ago. Food plates left uncollected for a long time and tables not cleaned regularly. Always have to queue a long time for a drink and also wait a long time if ordering on the app. Staff all seem sullen and unhappy. Suits us for that quick cheap drink and the occasional snack.

Dropped my car off for its MOT, then walked in to the city & went in to the restaurant for my breakfast. I had a full English & unlimited coffee, all for £9. Great VFM. The food was excellent, as was the service. Happy to recommend.

Myself and my friend ordered small fish and chips but were flabbergasted at the size of the meal. The piece of fish must have been the cut off rejects when preparing the fish. I’ve never seen a piece of fish so small, thin and overcooked! The cod was brown. The chips were ok but hardly enough to feed a toddler, mushy peas looked like a cat had vomited on the plate. Delightful!

We stopped in for a cheap treat this morning. Think we will find another place for Sunday breakfast. My lady ordered a small breakfast expected bacon as advertised. Instead of dead pig she was served dead cow. It was replaced but I imagine it would...

We love Wetherspoons and always make a point of finding a Wetherspoons pub wherever we go. We were staying in Salisbury and decided to go to Kings Head for dinner on our first evening. My husband enjoyed a gammon with all the trimmings and I...

The location is superb for shopping and browsing in the centre of Salisbury. It is Wetherspoons, so, as usual, there's a wide choice of good beers and the prices are very low. But our three meals were all pretty average. We've had much better meals...

What you pay for food and drinks here is good value, if you expect top quality then you are in the wrong place. I have had several meals here and have enjoyed them, the food is not to bad and for what you pay it is pretty good value.

Well, having spent many months hinting at the prospect of a proper Sunday, hubby eventually got the hint, and boy did he earn major brownie points Kings Head , Whiteparish, came up trumps. Fantastic roast beef, not put on top of the roast potatoes, as is the fashion, but properly presented. Superbly cooked. Couldn’t manage a dessert but managed some cheese and biscuits. Who knew I would fall in love with Shropshire blue ( served at the correct temperature ) If you are ever near, please it’s worth a visit

Went there for a Christmas lunch with 2 friends. Very well refurbished - modern style but nicely in keeping with the building. Chose the Festive menu - and all our food was excellent - particularly enjoyed the slow roast lamb - great cheese platter. Great staff - will certainly be back.

I've been waiting 4 weeks for TripAdvisor to remove the old reviews of the Kings Head (no apostrophe!!) in Whiteparish but cannot hold out any longer.... This is a seriously good gastropub having gone from zero - 100mph in no time at all. I was lucky enough to get a table on Day 1 and, although I hadn't set my expectations too high, I needn't have worried. Tremendous quality and sizeable portions all round - very happy family! With exemplary staff; a great range of beers, wines and spirits (esp the gin selection) and a really tasteful, relaxing interior, you have to applaud the new owner's judgement and ambition. This is just what Whiteparish needs and is a great restoration of THE pub of the village. Keep it up!

Went for supper last night (Sunday) at 6pm table. The restaurant has been tastefully re- decorated , the loos were lovely! Really attractive dining furniture, and nice touches with the cutlery and serving plates/bowls. Waitress service was attentive and charming. Hats off to Andrew and Gemma for being so friendly and helpful. Food beautifully presented and delicious. Roast dinners were a real hit. Was really impressed, will definitely be going back. Scrumptious! Can't wait to try some of the more interesting items on the menu.

I think the title speaks for itself, the pub is closed and doesn't look like reopening in the near future.

Cheapest drinks we could find in town. We were told it is a chain, but they definitely try to make a name for themselves with the set up & prices. Tons of room, multiple stories, friendly service. Highly Recommended.

Have visited this 'Spoons on a number of occasions with either friends or family and have never been disappointed. It's a short walk from the railway station en route into town and to be honest I've only managed to get past the pub and into the town once! We always get a table upstairs and although it can get a bit busy late morning there's never a problem getting served and meal orders arrive at your table without delay. Our latest visit coincided with steak day and I had a most enjoyable mixed grill plus dessert (didn't realise at first that you can get a discounted dessert if you have one of the steak offerings). I don't think there's any toilets downstairs (but maybe disabled?). From upstairs you get a good view of the river and in the summer it's probably very pleasant sitting outside at the tables round the back. By the time we decide to head back to the station I'm usually a bit worse for wear and once even caught the train in the wrong direction! Always found staff to be friendly, good selections of ale and good value food - what more do you need!

Recommended by the owner of the Newton Farmhouse. We had a lovely meal of a full roast dinner and duck confit - both very nicely prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
