Easy to order quick service but food was cold .

1 Star because I cannot order my coffee with MILK.....why do I have to put up with skimmed white water?

The café is clean. To order food/drink you need to use the touchscreen order points (similar to fast food chains). The food was hot and everything was correct.

Why is the newly refurbished cafe only using touch screens for ordering? There was nothing wrong with the original method of service. You have just lost my custom.

Disgusting 🤮 ordered breakfast through just eat. Overcooked eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The eggs were more like rubber Frisbees than a food product. Grey bits of potatoe in the hash browns. No tattie scone but was given a slice of toast instead. Some bright spark decided it was a good idea to put 4 butters in the bottom of the bag before putting cooked food on top of them so we had to fish the food out of a bag of melted butter. Ended up putting it in the bin after 2 bites. £10.75 for this sloop is disgusting, never again.

Every time I order the fish, chips and peas from here I get an upset stomach. The food is dripping in oil, takes 30 minutes to be ready and is fried to the crisp, to the point it can’t be cut into. Disappointing.

We was served today by Jessica- baring in mind its Christmas eve so very busy- she was polite, friendly and had a huge smile on her face. We sat and watched her with other customers and she was amazing with them too, especially the young children. Credit to your team. Please pass this on to her.

Today the worst service we have ever had, waiting so long drinks were cold,no apologies, definitely not the A team.

Long walk from the front door to the back right, via the escalator. This makes it inconvenient before or after shopping. Atmosphere? Loud, jarring, but the fit and finish is fair, if not boring. Though the food is a shadow of itself, the staff are lovely and caring towards customers. I've never seen it busy, nor does it service the locals as a place to eat an evening meal. When it was at the front, it was very busy, a hub for workers, locals, and the elderly to have a meal. Now it's largely forgotten. Yet another Tesco miss step, making rather a lot of those lately, almost like they just don't have a clue.

Amazing service, great team Tesco is lucky to have these workers. As an foreign sometimes I feel nervous and ashamed of asking for things because of my accent and because of negative past experiences but not this time. I have encountered a beautiful and understanding team that helped me getting what I wanted , I was treated with kindness and respect. Plus the café looks nice and the food is good enough. The down side is maybe being next to the clothing section, it lacks view/ environment and possibly not good for the clothes either 😅😂.

Be very careful at this store because me and my partner went in the morning and my partner decided she would take my 13 year old daughter later in the day. But they have cameras onsite to ensure you don't stay longer than 4 hours. Unfortunately they took the image of us arriving the first time, then leaving the second time and this came to more than the 4 hours. That we had left and came back again was not on their radar The first we heard of it is when we got a letter from the debt recovery agency asking for £125 4 months later. With any luck we should be able to resolve this as it clearly shows in our Google timeline that we had left and come back

We ordered the breakfast which consists of one Egg one sausage one bacon rasher beans hash browns and toast, When we received the breakfast it was just warm, the toast was more like warm bread and one of us had a snotty egg, the sausage and Bacon had very little flavour

cafe is ok, staff seem unhappy & i was shocked to see no hair protection or gloves being used by staff cooking food. high risk of spreading bacteria & infection.

Came in with my daughter. Before shopping went to the cafe and had a Cappuccino, daughter had a coke and a slice of cake. Staff are fantastic, always cheerful, polite, always makes us feel very welcome. Can't fault them at all.

Very slow que, progressing at longer that 5 mins per person. The sausage had minimal meat content and the toast was still soft bread, but with a suntan :( Better to use the Toby accross the road !

Staff making faces when placing an order at 3:20pm. Cafe supposed to be open till 4pm so do not appreciate staff being rude behind our backs when placing a food order well within the opening times! Was then shooed out of the cafe at 3:52 by a member of staff saying the stores closed in a rude manor. The store closing time is 4pm, therefor I have until 4pm to leave the store. Wouldn’t have been a problem if they were nice about it. Staff need an attitude training course.

Probably the worst thing I’ve had in a long time. It was warm at the best. Even thee beans are stodgy I won’t be back there again

Big breakfast... well for the money you pay it’s not worth it.. the big breakfast as they put it .. was small One of every thing on the plate . Luke warm aswell . There’s a cafe down on Trowbridge park that does an all day large breakfast for just £5.50 !! Stars I think it’s called. Well worth the money..

Visited Trowbridge Tesco café today, ordered Cheese Scone with Butter and a latte, have to say very delicious, but unfortunately was let down by being charged £1.70 for one scone when I found a pack of 4 on the shop floor for £1.00. I know the cafe has to make a profit but this is rediculous !!

Nice to be able to use the cafe again, the staff very friendly and helpful.

Had a small latte and pack of 2 ginger biscuits £3.95. The latte tasted nice and was hot. The biscuits are the ones you get from all the posh cafe's. It used to be a Costs here but I think it is much better now, from the cups they use to the taste of the latte I had. Would be happy to go there again.

Had our grandchildren with us so we needed something easy and convenient. This cafe did our asks. The food was good for children and there was baby changing near by.

Had a breakfast....Nearly broke a tooth on the fried bread! Tasted like it had been fried in 1940! Undercooked slimy mushroom, a small single burnt sorry looking sausage. No knifes in the tray. Not impressed Tesco! Morrison’s breakfast is brilliant!

Well what can I say the chefs were in cloud cookoo land the breakfast was cold my daughter had 2 rashers of bacon and i only had one and she had butter and i didnt I didn't think they would do favouritism in tescos and my granddaughter had no breakfast well I'm flabbergasted and there was a pea in the beans yes a pea well if we were allergict to peas it could have been fatal or not very nice exsperence and my daughter told the chef and she said it wasn't my fault I didn't warm the beans up

Ok for a coffee but the food quality has gone downhill recently.

Only average. Not very many cakes/pastries to choose from for tea and cakes snack. Clean enough. Could do better but not at all bad. I only had tea and toasted tea cake which was fine. They do hot meals but I can't comment on those.

Long wait for food, about 30min, tables not cleared frequently enough

I have breakfast in this store most days due to the fact I work away from home. I’ve only ever had one problem with my breakfast and I’ve had most things from the menu. Full English, beans on toast, bacon or sausage sandwich! If people have a slight problem with their breakfast I know the girls and lads are more than happy to rectify this (did for me) No point moaning and slagging the place off simply because you had a “bad experience” if you don’t give staff a chance to exchange your food! the place is always busy so the staff must be doing something right. Telling the staff your breakfast isn’t adequate enough isn’t always seen as moaning it’s sometimes feedback so they can improve on things being done.

Not enough staff on duty and latte not wonderful. One lady serving orders and taking money and clearing tables very poor organisation.

No hash browns so offered something extra. That was ok but then had other items missing off our plate. Had extra toast but no butter. No forks and the cutlery that was there wasnt clean. One lady that served us was nice enough. Others didnt even acknowledge us. Ok place to eat if you are not fussy!!

New, rubbish menu. My chosen choice had run out, so had some of our side-extras. (There's an entire shop of food downstairs!!) And there were no colouring pencils to go with the paper provided. Poor.

The bread was slightly stale and looked like it was sliced with an SDS drill. The bacon was woefully undercooked and full of unrendered, stringy fat. Totally unimpressed.

My friend and I, stopped in the Tesco's cafe upstairs one day this year in the Sales. Must've been April I think, anyway after browsing tons of clothes and looking for replacement plates that I'd broken and needed replacing, we sat down in the cafe for a drink and decided to have a meal to tide us over for the evening. I do recommend the meals in there, they are reasonably priced, they don't take long to arrive, the staff are very friendly and helpful, I remember ordering a Smoothie, which was full of pips, but I enjoyed it all the same, and my friend had a flat white coffee. Although there is little Ambience in this place, because of it being a supermarket Cafe, it was clean, the tables had been cleared and we'd just caught the last hour before they closed. I also noticed the floor must've been swept as there was no food on it.(makes a change!)

Food was good but I do feel that they should have more staff. Staff were friendly and helpful but they were run off their feet, which I think is so unfair! Come on Tesco Cafe...

Nice and clean and the food is cooked on the spot so no hanging around under heat lamps.

What a disappointment. I love the Tesco store and look upon it as my local shop. Recently my friend and I, both eighty, thought that we would have a treat and have lunch in the Tesco Cafe. I ordered fish and chips and was told that there was no fish available. I was then offered Eggs Benedict which I agreed to. After waiting for ages I was told that they could not poach eggs that day! The young man who came to our table was called Ash and was very helpful. When I told him that I had really wanted fish and chips he assured me that I could have them. He was true to his word and produced the fish. All together we had waited well over half an hour and decided that we would have been better to have gone to a fish and chip shop. I am sorry to be critical but in this (rare) case Tesco let us down and what started out as a treat ended up as a disappointment.

Popped in to buy dinner for my daughter at 5pm to be told they had turned the cookers off as were closing so we could only have a sandwich from the chilled. When we said that on the website it states they close at 7 they said it was now 6 and so would not cook anything. We ended up going to Sainsbury's for a cooked meal. I would recommend not going there at tea time to avoid disappointment because they shut 2hours early.

Coffee was better than good but not great. I had the standard breakfast. 2 bacon 1 sausage 1 egg 1 hash brown beans and toast. Completely edible but not outstanding. I go to the Field kitchen at the glove factory Holt for that.was just convenient today before shopping.

Good although boiler keeps breaking down so has to shut which is intermittent.

Too bad that there is a cook (incidentally with filthy apron at 9:30 am), who can barbecue an egg (and I mean barbecue), but doesn't know how to scramble one.Awful place makes KFC look cordon bleu. This is supposed to have been improved, but it's not. Last visit for us I'm afraid

Very friendly staff and clean. Seating ripped on one chair and limited menu as delivery hadn't come in. But the chicken wrap was tasty.

My daughter loves it here so before we do the weekly shop we might pop in here for a snack or light lunch. However, on our visit today we waited a long time for food (even though the place was pretty empty!) and our all day breakfasts were pretty overcooked. Rubbery eggs and burnt toast! Saying that my daughters pizza looked delish! Possibly even handmade?! No doubt we will go back as its so convenient (and stops us from buying lots of food because we have empty stomachs!) but I won't be ordering the breakfast again! Maybe I'll have the kids pizza!

Took little one for breakfast one morning, complete waste of money. Staff are a waste of time and incompetent. The food was awful, arrived cold and just very unappealing...

16th of January 2019, I made a decision to have Breakfast here. Ordered food, gathered my cutlery and sat down, well it took a while to do that because the very few tables that were left were full of empties. Looked like a gathering of cowboys by the entrance pushed 8 or so tables together to have a Male reunion, the noise coming from that area was well above normal chatter..... almost to the point that the Riot Police were called. Anyhow it's the food that is the important matter here.....within 4 minutes of me being seated, my food turned up - none of it was hot, so it hadn't been just cooked fresh. The hottest thing on my table was the pot of tea. I had paid extra for Black pudding..... it was soggy and fell apart as I tried fork a piece up....had to use a spoon for that. Sausages were cold and wrinkled. Fried eggs were cold and solid. Half of tomato....yes a half, this was supposed to be the Bigger Breakfast, I was beginning to think I was being taken for a ride here. Hash Brown, ... yes you guessed it ....Soggy and wouldn't withstand the fork treatment. Bacon so burnt and hard I couldn't cut or fork a piece up...I fact it looked as though it had gone through the rigor mortice process for the second time. Fried Bread, why oh why, did I get an end crust-fried.... it's not that you dont charge enough for your breakfast...Over £8 would have meant i would expect substantial produce and a proper slice of bread. Please see enclosed photo's of the food i had to leave, and the condition of the bacon. To sum this breakfast experience up............. ABSOLUTEY DISGUSTING AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO SEND FOOD LIKE THIS INTO YOUR RESTAURANT....THE CHEF SHOULD BE MADE TO EAT IT... Needless to say that Tesco in future will only supply my groceries. And breakfast will be over the road at Toby's afterwards... HuggieBear

Breakfast is good value but don't expect greatness. Mushroom is VERY oily and black pudding was so overcooked it was more like a charcoal incense burner.

Not bad food but could have been better kids portion was good

A really bad experience, it was a ridiculously long wait, over 40mins for two basic breakfasts..None of the staff on duty told us about any delays or how long it would take. If we were told at the start, I'd of just had the coffee. Several people before us had cancelled their order as they were not prepared to wait any longer. When we did get our breakfasts they were not worth the wait, Luke warm, toast was not toasted, no butter and the cutlery had seen better days. This isn't the first time we've experienced this level of service before, however on the previous occasion a fantastic member of staff apologized profusely and gave us complimentary coffees. But no apologies today , don't think staff seemed to be aware of the situation, safe to say we will not back. Very disappointing and unsatisfactory.

Service is really poor, you wait so long for any sort of food in there and usually it's not very pleasant when it arrives. Tables usually are not clean.

Unbelievably bad Breakfast. The Bacon was burnt as was the toast, the Hash Brown was totally soggy and the sausages were virtually tasteless. It was a real mess and a disgrace. The actual Cafe could do with a Steam Clean and the furnishings were sub standard my first and last visit. Tesco what are you thinking here??

Nice place to stop for a coffee and brunch whilst shopping

Went there yesterday,I was buying drinks while my friend was waiting with kids at the table.Like always,just 1 person working at the till and making drinks.After a while,one of her colleagues came to help and made my latte.The card machine broke down,the person at the till left on her own again.The supervisor Sam (duty,manager?) was walking around around,making flower arrangements ,not even looking at the employee if she needs help,ignoring the queue that was getting longer and longer.After she'd been asked for help,she moved the cable on the card machine and walked away.Obviously,the card machine wasn' t fixed.After 8 minutes with the drinks on my tray and queue getting longer,Sam making flower arrangements in front of the queue (still not showing intention to help).The employee asked for help again and she said she is going to call duty manager and finished flowers before going to do it.She came back,said (to the employee only) that she can take cash payments only.I said I didn't have any cash with me.She looked at me,shrug her shoulder and said ;What should I do?There's nothing I can do about it!" I was waiting in that queue for 15 minutes,having hot drink ( on my tray for ten,and to find out that person in charge is not even bothered to show any interest in customers,I did what any customer would do-walked away and will never come back!

Ok good which should be a bit cheaper.

Good value supermarket all day breakfast!!

We took our two and half granddaughter there for lunch ,ordered sausage carrot and swede mash for her & myself and my husband we ordered baked potato with baked beans and cheese, we got ours , our granddaughter did not so I said something to a member of staff she did apologise but when we got it it was not what we asked for it was smash mash peas and two sausages , with this I complained to a member of staff and she said would I like to have another mealfor her, I said but we had to wait for this one so I said no thank you , could we have her meal off bill .No we could not we could have two coffees instead and I said it was my granddaughter meal that was not right, with this we got a free milkshake to take home not impressed at all The staff were helpful but I don't think I would take children there again

Staff very unhelpful, place filthy. Told we had to wait for our hot drinks till the cashier had taken the orders from the 6 people behind us.

Since it was revamped the seating and menu have changed for the better but the day to day running and quality have not. Often understaffed, often choices are unavailable and quality is lacklustre. Definitely falling to the bottom of the list of supermarket cafés. Shame, it used to be a good stop off during a day's busy shopping.

On 30th June, there was a free coffee promotion in the cafe. Staff were run off their feet. Told it would be a 25 minute wait to heat a prepared toasted sandwich. When it arrived, still cold in the middle. Did not have the heart to send back as the staff were totally over-awed.

Had a breakfast here but wasn't impressed. I don't like cheap sausages, so we'll ignore that point. However, I also don't like overcooked eggs (burnt bottom and no runny yolk), and I don't like butter. Would have preferred a spread like Flora and also I prefer mayo to ketchup, but this was not an option. The bacon was good though! We'll not be going here again for breakfast.

Absolutely disgusting!! 45min wait for food and other people who ordered food was only getting part of there meals!! Very slow service and very poor team work between the cooks!! Will not be eating from there again!

We went to Tesco for a late morning breakfast. As there was going to be a 25 minute wait to get our food we quickly popped to the Tesco phone shop. When our breakfast was ready the really lovely lady on the till even came to tell us (4 stars for her). The chef wasn't happy though that we'd disappeared. If looks could kill when we went back!! It was hilarious!! The food was Ok. We had 2 breakfasts. They said they'd ran out of poached eggs though but we could have a fried egg instead!! I wonder if what they really meant was the chef couldn't do poached eggs!!

Very large store normally well stocked. Plenty of tills and self service area. Extremely large car park, always positions to use.

Had a quick stop here for lunch before we done a shop, the bottled drinks were quite pricey, the staff looked miserable as well. I had a jacket potato with coronation chicken, almost broke my tooth because the potato was so hard, probably should have had a steak knife to cut through it. Anyhow, the service was quick and that’s the only good thing I have to say.

I had one of their basic fried breakfasts (larger version possible). All provided freshly cooked in good clean surroundings. Friendly happy staff. A few days later I tried their tomato/basil soup with roll and this was delicious.

Yesterday 21st June I went to Tesco's on County Way, where some irresponsible person had taken their dog out shopping in 30 degree heat.

Great supermarket,has loads of extras including a petrol station,pharmacy,photo shop,phone shop,opticians,cafe,home shopping dept,and a large clothing,electrical and homeware section,it has everything you could need under one roof.

Though never a key service there is always (normally) something special about a breakfast at a supermarket...the calm before the shopping 'storm'....not in the s case I'm afraid to say...we were in the early fresh cooking and invigorating staff...no sorry seemed little interest from staff, my fried egg couldn't have been cooked any longer and the coffee lacked coffee...

Enjoyed breakfast with friendly service. Food arrived quickly and hot, missing sausages but quickly brought after hi lighting the absence! Food of decent quality and no complaints here.

I have had breakfast here on a couple of occasions which was good value, also the coffee is good, they have also recently refurbished it.
