We were extremely lucky to be able to stay the weekend in one of the new lodges on the fishing lake(which my partner caught his PB in!) The lodges are absolutely stunning. They are fully stocked with everything you could possible need and the space inside and out is immaculate. Being able to fish and relax with the hot tub is another kind of brilliance. From the momment we walked in all the staff were super friendly and attentive, going above and beyond for us. Before leaving, we stayed for a Sunday dinner. Which was lovely fresh homemade food! We met some great people and It was a brilliant weekend. Already planning on returning!

Ate here in 2022 and tbh the service and food was not great but thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt, hoping 2 years on they would have improved. Arrived as a party of 7 to be told it would be an hour wait for food. Happy to wait we ordered and waited for food, 1 hour and 50 minutes later what can only be described as mediocre at best food arrived with one whole meal missing. Mistakes happen it is how it is dealt with, I was told, ‘I can stick you something in but I don’t know how long that will take’ no apologies, no customer service at all. Will definitely not be returning.

This was a lovely little caravan park with a bar and hotel on site. It was a lucky find. I hired the 3 bed static caravan with a hot tub. The caravan was a lovely size clean and well equipped even supplied games for rainy days. As for the spa that was luxury and enjoyed by all the family. The pub onsite do was lovely Clean well priced and brilliant food. They had no entertainment that weekend it every other but that was OK as a short 5min drive to ingomells . Food was 5* only thing didn't get to try the roast dinners as they village had a power cut but people was turning up for it so must be good. The staff are very friendly too . Definitely re-book

Immaculate inside. Everything looks brand new and it’s very clean. Decent sized car park. Good range of drinks, albeit no cask ale. Decent menu, with plenty for all. Steak was pretty good, lasagna was excellent and the chips were superb. Well priced for the quality. Will return to try the Sunday lunch. Dogs allowed inside in the kids/play/family area

I came here with my elderly parents and 12 year old son on Tuesday evening. We were told on arrival that we needed to order food in 15 minutes as they were busy. The pub didn't look busy. As we were all hungry we waited and after 20 minutes went to order, only to be told they can't make any food yet as the cook is cutting the chips. It was transparent then that the two people working here couldn't be bothered to cook or take our order. We then had to leave to go somewhere else. My 80 year old dad, step mum and my son we're extremely upset as we left very hungry and appalled at the lack of service we received. We should have been told on arrival that they were not bothering to serve us instead of letting us buy drinks and look at the menu. I hate leaving bad reviews but felt the need as this is the worst service I've ever had. We won't be returning.

Although the room and en suite bathroom were both decent sizes our experience during our stay was extremely poor. 1) We had booked on a room only basis but had planned to eat at the establishment on arrival on the Sunday . However on arrival we were told the pub / hotel was now undergoing refurbishment and no food would be available throughout our stay. This was the first we had heard about the refurbishment taking place during our stay. 2) We were advised that to enter / exit the hotel we would need to do so via the 1st floor fire exit ( and down the external stairs to the ground level- given the extremely cold weather and ice /frost these were a death trap) 3) The free Wi fi was not available at all throughout the duration of our stay 3) We arrived at the establishment at approx 5pm on the Sunday, by 8pm that night all staff had left - we didn’t see a staff member at all again throughout the duration of our stay & the door from the hotel accommodation to the bar was locked 4) no hairdryer available in the bedroom and despite my partner going to try to locate a staff member there was nobody to ask for one ( no staff in the building) 5) Although there was a kettle in the room along with a couple of biscuits, tea bags and coffee sachets & cups, teaspoons no milk provided 6) One of the bath towels was stained 7) On departure as no staff were in the building ( at 9.15am) and the door to the downstairs bar area was locked we had to leave the bedroom key in the lock of the bedroom door 8) Due to the lack of staff in the building no body to report any of the above to.

When we stayed, there was usually only one lady covering the restaurant, the bar and doing the cooking in the kitchen. Food was very mediocre. There was lots of lights missing, ie: on the stairs up to room, the upstairs corridor and in the restaurant almost every double wall-light had a bulb missing. Would not stay there again.

It wasn't very busy when we went (Monday evening) which was a shame because this place is a hidden gem. Perhaps adding the menu and food serving times on the website might help? Not the fastest service in the world but that could have something to do with the fact you have 1 person working the bar and serving the food. Had been recommended by locals. Visited as a party of 8 for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint in any way. Dinners come in small. Medium and large, do not attempt the large unless you have a very big appetite. Children under 10 get a free meal with a paying adult, so 3 of the children got free meals, which was a bonus. The food was traditional home cooked and plenty of it. The restaurant is spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and friendly right from us entering the premises. Will definitely be recommending to others when visiting the area.

We have been to the Kings Head previously for Sunday lunch and although you have to wait roughly 1 hour after ordering even though they are not busy we have put up with it. On this occasion it was the final straw and we will not be returning. They only have one member of staff behind the bar who is taking food orders and serving drinks. Had to queue for 15 minutes to get served. I ordered 2 meals a pint and a glass of tap water. I was informed that they do not give tap water as it is not drinkable, but I could purchase a bottle of water. Although I informed the member of staff that by law establishments have to have free tap water available wherever alcohol is sold again I was told I would need to buy water so I declined. I paid for my drink and the food and was then informed the waiting time is 1 hour so we took a seat and waited. After waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes the number before ours was called which gave us some hope. At this stage after complaining at the length of time we had been waiting we were given a free drink. Eventually 5 minutes later our order number was called and we were taken through to the restaurant where we waited a further 5 minutes before we received our food. Never again, from arrival to receiving our food was 2 hours and 5 minutes and the place was not really busy. When we arrived there were less than twenty people in the pub.

We booked a week stay in the hot tub caravan and OMG it was amazing. The caravan itself was immaculately kept and very homely. Ideal for a couple or a small family, and ideal for a home from home getaway. We went for a few drinks and a bite to eat at the on site Pub and Hayley was really welcoming and made us feel at home. We had a burger and chips and my other half had steak and chips. No complaints at all and would certainly come for food in here again. Another added bonus was the on site kitties awww.. I would of taken them home if I could. If you fancy a walk in to ingoldmells it's roughly a 25 min walk which isn't too bad or a 5 min drive. We would also recommend a day round Mablethorpe, as a last minute decision we decided to take a ride over and this was a really stunning little sea side village and only 16 miles up the road. Overall we have had an amazing stay and we cannot wait to book up for next year. Thank you for an amazing worth while stay

If you are visiting the Ingoldmells area, fresh cooked meals, and indeed, fresh cooked vegetables, can be difficult to source. The King's Head in Addlethorpe is the solution to your take-away, chips-with-everything, blues.I visited the King's Head over ten years ago, when I enjoyed an excellent carvery during a Sunday day out. Not having visited the area for some time afterwards, I did find it a little difficult to find once again, as it is a little off the beaten track.Nonetheless, it is a short drive, or a very pleasant 20-30 minute walk, from Ingoldmells, for what can only be described as the best Sunday dinner in the area! There is a choice of beef, pork or turkey on the set Sunday menu, in sizes of small, medium and large. The small is quite big, the medium is large, and I suspect that the large dinner would easily feed a family! The heart of the Sunday lunch is the roast, and all three meats are very well cooked, but are still succulent, and arrive in generous protions on the plate.Accompanying the meat are seasonal veg, which at this time of year consisted of new potatoes, fresh carrotts, peas and savoy cabbage. I admit to being rather picky when it comes to how my vegatables are cooked, a little over or under and my appetite and enjoyment are spoiled. These were absolutley wonderful, not over-done mush, but not 'blanched' (chef-speak for "Half cooked") to the extent that you have to lean on your fork to pierce them, just a little gentle resistance.A small stuffing ball, Yorkshire pudding and REAL gravy complete the meal with the addition of the biggest roast potatoes I've ever had! Roast potatoes which, it has to be said, are to die for, they are like the male version of chocolate! The small dinner will put you back £5.95, and will happily feed the average appetite, if you have a Sunday dinner mission an additional pound will buy you the medium which will satisy all but the most robust of eaters.Another pleasantry enjoyed at the King's Head is that when sitting down, one finds that the tables aren't sticky with the left overs of previous diners! The pub itself has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere which is so refreshing after the hustle and bustle of the eateries nearer the coast. The decor is, perhaps, a little dated, or one may describe it as 'traditional' but it is very comfortable and clean. A childrens' room is provided and there is a swing and slide set outside. The drinks are reasonably priced and well kept.So if you are fed up with eating chips, sausage and egg and can feel your vitamin B12 levels falling, have a run out to Addlethorpe and enjoy some hearty, home-cooked food that hasn't been prepared in the micorwave or the fryer. I cannot recommend this pub enough!

Had a couple of roasts today which came with free desserts. Meal was lovely, fresh, hot, just what you expect. We was really happy with that.....but....half an hour after leaving we realised we had left a bag behind. Money, cards, car keys, medication, all stuff hard to replace when on holiday. We returned to the Windsor and the lady who was serving, cleaning etc said she saw the bag as soon as we left, so put it safe behind the counter. Panic over. We can't thank you enough xxx

We went specifically to this venue for breakfast. We ordered different breakfasts and made some changes to one of them with the helpful counter staff. The tea in the tea pot was cold and we took it back for a replacement hot tea pot. The breakfast was brought to us by a member of staff who did not smile or speak. Having ordered extra well done bacon we were surprised to note that it certainly hadn't been even well done. The plates were cold and so was half of the breakfast, the rest of it cooling rapidly. The toast and prepacked butter were placed on the top of the breakfast and we had to use our fingers to try and get them off the top, even though there was nowhere to put them (have they never heard of side plates)? All in all, very poor. Customer care is clearly not a priority.

Visited here yesterday as we have done many times previously and i was on my VERY SMALL electric scooter (ES). It was quite busy but not full as it is fairly small inside. Myself and my scooter took up the same amount of sitting on the chair as i was situated so i didn't need to use their chair and if on a large bike this would not have been possible. However a young girl asked if i could leave my ES outside and walk in which i could not as not able to do so. I replied we have been in there previously and had never been an issue but she said the couldn't allow it when they were busy. I would not have gone in if i was going to cause an issue or restrict any of the pathways and so i felt i had to leave, which we did. However there was 3 tables occupied by approx 12 men who were blocking pathways and not eating anything and were loudly talking to each other across the tables who were who were quite clearly obstructive but seemingly that was ok !!! I am disgusted in this day and age that such discrimination persists and i will not use them again. Perhaps they need to add a sign to the windows stating people with mobility aids would not be allowed in busy periods. Totally Disgusted. LInda Halls
