45 min wait. Which we were aware of.. actually 55 mins.. when our food came.. I ordered Turkey breast with veg and roast potatoes.. veg cold..toast potatoes hard and cold.. Yorkshire pudding cold.. Turkey warm.. very disappointed..will not eat there again.. I admit it was busy..but if your meals are timed..I expect it to be hot..

Great food, great decor but service is incredibly poor even on a quiet day, staff very rarely check orders to get them out on time, often see bar staff hanging around chatting. The food is always great, hot enough and always on point, don't think I've ever had a bad meal

Having given this pub a negative review previously I recently visited it again and was very pleasantly surprised. It has been refurbished and now has welcoming, attractive furnishings and a great beer garden. The food was lovely (unlike last time). It was very busy as it was during the school holidays and the wait for food was quite long but worth it. The only problem was that this pub charges £3 for half a pint of lime and soda, total rip off!!

Visited early evening for a meal with friends as staying locally. Friendly and excellent service from the helpful staff. Food was really good and most enjoyable. Will certainly visit again when in the area. Rohan certainly looked after us and was most thoughtful and patient with an elderly couple nearby.

The worst food I think I’ve ever had! Sunday lunch made Wetherspoons look like a Michelin star restaurant. Beef looked like it had been overcooked a week ago and then warmed up in the microwave. Full of fat. Yorkshire puddings like cardboard. Absolutely awful!! Pub itself is very nice and service was friendly (yet slow; 45 mins to deliver 2 Sunday lunches).

A covered smoking area would be good as well as reinstating the pool table and dart board. Also I swear the chips are the frozen variety and not fresh cut and fried?

Such a beautiful location, there are plenty tables outside, and right by the river so perfect to make the most of a summer afternoon! The decorations inside are also very lovely, feels very high end for a pub. The food was also delicious!! Would highly recommend the pies specifically, definitely worth their price. Will definitely be making plans to come back, hopefully in the near future

We did not stay at the hotel, just booked a table for a meal, the restaurant and bar area were very nice and the beer garden overlooking the river was very appealing, unfortunately when it came to food and service that was a totally different thing, we placed our for starters, mains and drinks, the place was quite busy but not full, we received our drinks, but didn't get our starter until 40 minutes later, the food was ok but not brilliant, after another 30 minutes of waiting, we asked when our mains would be served and were told it will be soon, so having had drinks and a starter, it was now 1 and a half hours later and still no mains, I asked for the bill for the drinks and food that we had received and was told the mains would be arriving shortly, we paid for what we had and left, I don't know if anyone thinks this kind of service is acceptable, but I do know, we will never go back there again

Stopped to sit and eat some food at one of the outside benches which looked like a dissused part of the garden/marina (behind Herris fence).It was all empty, no info or explanatory signs We were told off by a member of staff to vacate the seat. It's empty, it looks like under construction, perhaps a little friendly gestur could improve your ** standing or just polite invitation from pub purchase. You lost potential customers.

Love place by the river. Wanted some food so went to the bar and ordered at 8pm, at 8.50pm I went to the bar and got some more drinks and asked if our food would be long, I was told the started was being cooked. At 9.10pm we went to enquire where our food was and were told the starter would be 20mins. By this point we just wanted our money back and to get a McDonald's! 1½ hours to wait for a starter! If we'd been warned when we 1st ordered it may of been different.

Very noisy. Asked for a quite table but no joy. Had lasagne which was mediocre, not much meat in it and it was probably microwaved for too long. Also the rocket garnish was limp and well past it's best. My husband had a pint of wherry which was very poor as it was cold fizzy keg beer not handpulled.

Breakfast very poor ,sausages looked like they hadn't seen pan ,egg undercooked ,fatty undercooked bacon ,cannot recommend, unfortunately worst breakfast we've had in this area After a conversation with Lauren, it's good to know reviews are taken seriously and acted on.and we accept the apology, thank you

Sunday lunch horrible, fatty beef, Yorkshire pudding g must have been made about a week ago, one bar staff had no idea if it was mashed potato, asked for chips said no

Nice restaurant and rooms are quite simple but clean and well maintained good place to stay for angles as it is right next to the water And the fishing is quite good there also saw an otter which was nice

Had booked for a group of 14. The staff seem unprepared. We ask about lunch time specials, we're told they didn't do any. When told it was on their Web site, were told it was just Monday - Wednesday, we were there on a Friday. Waiter 'discovered' it did run to Friday. When food came chips ordered by some were put on others plates. When queried with the waitress she said that was how the order came through and for those who 'accidently' had chips to pass them to those who'd ordered them. The burgers were like cardboard, again no apology when staff told this. When meals were paid one who gave her chips up was still charged for them. Initially her bill was £16, but she queried this and was eventually charged £9. Again no apology from the staff. The decor might be nice but that's all I can say. We are a local group of women and so will not be encouraging friends and family to visit. They may hope for good service from holiday makers, but it's locals who keep these places running

Great location, lovely room, the staff were friendly and the food we had was lovely.

Had a lovely 2 night stay here, right at the side of the river. Check in was quick and easy. Bedroom was newly refurbished and was clean and spacious, in fact everywhere was clean, staff were lovely, polite and friendly. We booked breakfast when reserving our room… you got a good choice, we had the cooked breakfast which was lovely and set us up for the day. At the minute they’re doing the garden up… they have done part of it and put a new undercover seating area. It was nice to sit outside in the garden watching the boats and the wildlife and we had lovely weather too

Me and my wife used to go to the Kings head alot when we was up Wroxham on our boat, it was a lovely place to go. Felt rather let down on our return Saturday just gone. We understood there being younger members of staff but the lack of experience really showed throughout our experience. All it needs is some more proffessionalism among the ranks and this place is well and truly back to it's old self. The rooms were immaculate no issues at all. Food was also very great. Would 100% reccomend. Thank you Kings Head Team. We shall be back

What can one say after the refurbishment you would not recognise it. They have done a brilliant job and it now looks amazing. As to the bedrooms you would not recognise them of old. As I start work early in the morning I can now take a break and have breakfast from 7am and it is great value into the bargain

Such a lovely pub with first class customer service from each and every person we dealt with. Dog and wheelchair friendly, which is a bonus. The food was excellent (rump steak and mussels linguine for starters, with a sausage for our Greyhound and the crumble and panne cotta for dessert). My husband and I were very impressed and would thoroughly recommend. Hope to visit you again before we return home to Lincolnshire. Thank you to you all for making our visit so enjoyable.

Lovely pub and hotel in the village of Wroxham which has just been renovated. It looks really smart and is at a great location right on the river. The staff were friendly and helpful, they have a large choice of beers and lagers, the food is great too. Well worth a visit.

Great location but... Sunday lunch, sun came out and everyone turned up for lunch. Had we been told there was a 50 minute wait for food, we would probably have said thank you but left. Instead after waiting 45 minutes (and asking nicely) we were told (equally nicely) that they are now telling new orders will take 45 minutes. Not great. Should have been offered a free drink or something whilst we continued waiting. Staff understandably stressed but remained pleasant and professional. The fault lies with software that should put brakes on orders as the kitchen clearly couldnt cope. And brewery managers need to cough up and recruit more kitchen staff.

I was on a coach trip & had lunch here, service & staff both good. I had Lasagne which I enjoyed.

Had a lunch here including 2 x kids meals which included in the price a mains,a drink & a dessert. We ordered mains & drinks thinking kids could choose their desserts when we finished our mains but we were surprised & upset to be told we should have ordered their dessert when we ordered the mains & wecwould therefore need to now pay extra for the desserts. Not impressed what a stupid rule Who ever has kids know they would change their minds by the time they finished their mains. Would not be looking to recommend let slone revisit ourselves any time. Think they should rethink as this seems a poor services to give especially with holiday season approaching.

We arrived to the kings head yesterday. There was multiple members of staff behind the bar, but only one lad was actually working, the others were sat in a group talking and ignored the fact that we had been waiting to get served. When we sat to have our drinks, the staff sat in a group were talking loudly and one girl in particular was continuously swearing. We were sat at least 10 meters away from the bar and could clearly hear their conversations (which were not appropriate).

Had a problem while having a meal on Sunday with my wife, I made a review and Damien sent an email to me to ring him, I did that at 7am today, and booked a table for 4 people tonight at 7.30pm. The service and food was absolutely superb. And I apologise for the comment that I made, and have subsequently deleted. Thanks Damien and your team.

Lovely pub on the Riverside. Recently had a much needed refurbishment which has turned what was a run down pub into a cosy warm environment. Friendly staff, especially Manger Damo, who always gives a cheerful welcome and happy to help in anyway he can.

Popped in for a meal with my wife and mother-in-law. Thankfully they were dog friendly as we brought two dogs along! The food was good, many options on the menu. Lots of options for beer and no/low alcohol beer too, which is always nice to see. The refurb looks fantastic! Lots of TVs to watch the football on. One thing I couldn't work out was the accessible toilet was beyond the bar and at the time the only entrance had a couple of steps on. My advice for wheelchair users is to call and ask in advance if they open the door on the main road.

Booked a meal for a family of 10 after a day trip on the river. I didn’t know what to expect and I can honestly say this was a fantastic choice! The front of house AM was incredible! So enthusiastic, very friendly, amazing information with a can do approach. Very welcoming from walking inside the pub. The decor was stunning, such a beautiful place for a drink, lunch, meal chat! Breathtaking well done! Toilets spotless! So clean and tidy. Dog friendly too this was so helpful. All staff were working with the same work ethic as the front of house. On to the meal, Sunday roasts to die for! Stuffing reminds for of meal old fashioned stuffing! The Yorkshire pudding…….. wow! I had the beef and it was delicious. Overall experience, amazing! Would highly recommend for families and dog owners. Great venue great people. Very good I’ll definitely be back again soon. Oh football on a number of TVs. How could you go wrong 😂 Thank you guys

Great selection of food and beers. Update 03.2024. Now refurbished and looks great. Bar service still poor, always a queue. Menu remarkably good value. Small car park attached to pub but large free car parks close by.

Cancelled our booking with only 2 hours notice! No apology and no reason given, Don’t deserve customers with that treatment.

My family and I had a meal when the pub was opened after the refurbishment and I must say I was not disappointed. It had a lovely atmosphere, the food was outstanding and very well presented. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait long before our food was served to us. The staff were very friendly and polite and I would say if you have not been there since the re-opening I would strongly recommend a visit.

Recently visited for a meal with my mum and my 2 children, it’s been recently refurbished and looks very nice. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic, my chicken katsu curry was lovely, was a very good size portion and was really reasonably priced it was only about £11/£12, my mum had lamb shank which she also said was very tasty, kids meals were fab and good value, I was also very jealous of my mums sticky toffee pudding with looked delicious! Will be great to visit again on the summer as the outside seating area looked great on the river too!

The food has caused two members of our group some severe stomach problems since going. Would recommend caution when ordering.

A lovely pub that's worth the visit. Had some amazing food and spent a lovely evening in here while in Wroxham If you have a blue card this helps to reduce the cost of meals in particular. Worth the visit.

Been here today with my Step Brother for our belated Birthday Lunch . The staff are so lovely and polite. The meals were so lovely presented and tested great too. Know they are closing soon for the well needed refurbishment of the place . Cant wait to return when they re open
