Just had a lovely breakfast/ brunch in a gorgeous beer garden. Pub looks small from the high street but it is beautiful out the back. Breakfast to a high standard and server so cheerful. Sunny today but looks just as nice inside for the damper days. A real treat.

1st time in this pub. This is the 1st time I've ever felt it necessary to leave a pub and my pint of decidely average Guinness behind because the place STINKS.

Quite expensive for drinks! but a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly but very busy. It was a lively evening so very loud and the live music in the other section was so loud we couldn’t talk and hear each other.

You can truly see the changes since the change in management. The service and atmosphere here has drastically improved with the management listening to the customers wants and requests. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming, making you want to come back. This pub has finally become the pub that Teddington needs, especially with so many pubs closing down. Highly recommend.

I went into castle bar for a beer ordered a fuller pride the rather large female bar person proceeded to it, left it with 50mm head and it not clear and tasted Thames water, When I politely told her I wanted a alternative she started to argue about time they trained there staff. OBVIOUSLY DID NOT PULL THE LINE THROUGH

Possibly the worst cooked breakfast we’ve ever attempted to eat . The service was polite and no problems there but the food was simply awful . Processed ham , a pale fried egg and some frozen chips . Indelible and the little I ate repeated on me all day , my daughter felt quite unwell after attempting to eat the full English - managed 1 sausage toast and a few beans . Go over the bridge and there are some beautiful cafes instead.

We went here as a family on a Sunday for lunch, the 4 of us ate in the bar ordered at the bar and were shocked to find we were charged 10% service charge for eating in the bar, which is separate from the restaurant, apart from bringing our food to our table I don’t know why we were charged this service charge for as we did not receive table service. The roast dinner we ordered at £21 each for myself and my partner was exactly the same size portion as my sons child’s roast that cost £8.50, when we complained to the manager we were told ‘to order a kids portion next time to save some money’, lovely customer relations, we were told that this is a chain. The place is always empty now we see why, the service is shocking, there are flies everywhere. We will not be returning to this profiteering extortionate bar again.

A lovely venue. Friendly and helpful staff. We only went in for a drink but next time will have a meal. Food looked good and judging by the amount of people in the restaurant it is a popular venue.

We have enjoyed eating here in the past but on this occasion it was a definite deux points. When you pay nearly £50 for two small plates of fish and chips and two pints of cider you expect it to be better than the fish and chips at Morrisons. Instead the fish was dry and clearly not restaurant quality while the chips were indifferent at best. If I’d paid £8 in a cafe I would have been disappointed but in a “bistro” pub that pretends to be a Belgian style restaurant it feels like yet another eating establishment that has lost its way.
