Nice place, but food really poor. There must be a mess in the kitchen, as pieces of fish found itself stuck under the vegan garlick bread. Fish and chips - fish soft and soggy.

Very nice but they don't know how to serve a pint of beer without a humongous head on it. Even when asked to be topped off it wasn't a full pint. If they want to serve a pint with such a head then use lined glasses! So the above comment was from a previous visit and sadly nothing has changed, the glass is swirled as the beer pours to create a good head and I had to ask for it to be topped up, which the bar-staff did grudgingly, looking surprised he'd been asked. Let's be blunt here, I asked for a pint, paid for a pint, so if I ask for it to be topped off, then all I'm getting is what I've paid for. No change on this visit... and before you ask why I've come back, let's just say it wasn't my choice.

I had the worst pork belly I have ever had. It was a lump of very tough meat, certainly not fresh that day as they claimed. Also I asked for a large glass of Malbec and a vinegary plonk arrived at £13.80! Most disappointed Sunday roast. The manager did very little to appease, he looked about 14 years old!! What a let down. Never again 😒

We went here as a family on a Sunday for lunch, the 4 of us ate in the bar ordered at the bar and were shocked to find we were charged 10% service charge for eating in the bar, which is separate from the restaurant, apart from bringing our food to our table I don’t know why we were charged this service charge for as we did not receive table service. The roast dinner we ordered at £21 each for myself and my partner was exactly the same size portion as my sons child’s roast that cost £8.50, when we complained to the manager we were told ‘to order a kids portion next time to save some money’, lovely customer relations, we were told that this is a chain. The place is always empty now we see why, the service is shocking, there are flies everywhere. We will not be returning to this profiteering extortionate bar again.

We moved to Hampton Hill in June & liked the Beech house as a nice place to visit after enjoying Bushy Park, We often go on a Sunday & enjoy a roast, which up until the so called ‘menu’ was really enjoyable. However today we were so shocked to see the prices had gone up and the portions had gone down… so much so that the adults roast dinner is exactly the same size as a kids roast! £21 for an adult & £8.50 for a child ! We have been going for the last few weeks but now the portions, the food & the service are so poor & you so don’t get value for money when they charge 10% gratuity for eating in the bar which is also full of drain flies buzzing around you everywhere. I would advise any local people to go toTwickenham where they have some great pubs. I predict that unless this place changes its attitude, staff, food quality & portion to value for money ratio, then this place will be out of business & closing down before you know it.

We first came here when it first opened. It was great for awhile and then the quality of the food nosedived while the price kept rising. Soon the beech house went from a place crammed with diners to a place for a casual drink and an empty restaurant. I’m happy to say that the quality of the food and the service are now much improved. It’s still not cheap, but you no longer regret spending the money.

Opening times are random. Dont expect it to be open at 11 on a Friday or Saturday. They close randomly if not busy. That's no way to run a bar. Basic stuff. Barman told me 2 weeks ago they had been told by the parent company to close early if not busy. Major mistake for any pub/restaurant. Staff clearly not treated well as not happy. This company is too big to make local places work for local people.

Although this place looks fancy and amazing it isn't. As nice as it looks we are paying for food at the end of it all. We went for a Sunday roast it shouldn't be allowed on the menu full stop. I'll start the food review with my sons meal of fish and chips it looked amazing and he said it was amazing so you have those sorts of dishes in the bag. However myself and my husband went for the roast yuck!!!!. He had a pork belly roast. He also was lucky enough to have a few potatoes chucked in that had clearly sat under a heat lamp for the morning they were awful. He was lucky enough to get 3 or 4 carrots and at least 2 small spoonfuls of some greens, of course the only thing resembling a roast was the Yorkshire pudding. I had a vegetarian it clearly started a vegetarian they then declared it was a gluten free choice made me laugh as the even the recept clearly stated VE for you guessed it vegetarian. I had a child's plate (paid an adult price of course) I was greated with an under cooked pie, a couple of potatoes, 3 or 4 carrots and a teaspoon full of greens. Over £80 lighter we walked out and I fully regret evening paying for that awful excuse of a meal. Your also pay coke prices for a draft coke or whatever we had. The whole experience was dry literally I had to request a Yorkshire pudding because apparently a vegetarian must also require gluten free products. I also complained to a manger of whom took a full payment from us. Do not go you have been warned

Staff were pleasant and place was clean. Went for breakfast which was just ok. The only bread they serve is sourdough and unless you’ve got teeth like a shark, you’ll struggle. Shame really, I feel this ruined my breakfast although my jaw has had a serious workout. Quite pricey considering what I had but, they’ve probably put prices higher as someone is most likely suing them for losing their teeth on the sourdough.

Visited on a Sunday and ordered artisan breads with olive oil/Balsamic vinegar . A friend ordered Garlic flatbread. The artisan breads were the flatbreads no selection whatsoever. We then ordered the roast Thyme chicken advertised on the menu with stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. Arrived without either but the chicken was fabulous so we didn’t comment. Drinks overfilled with ice. On the plus side really good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Just seems very inconsistent and if something isn’t available then tell the customer so they can choose an alternative taking the price into account the meal should be pretty perfect.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant, the food was amazing and delicious and the chefs were so friendly and kind, I loved that the kitchen was open and we could watch the food being prepared, the chefs were so kind to entertain my young sister while she was watching them make the food. The only thing I am really disappointed at was the service, it was horrible and I can even say that it was nonexistent. We waited a long time to order and when we did the server did not bring our food and the chef had to go out and bring it himself, lovely person. Then when we wanted to order the desserts we had to go up to the server because she did not glance at our direction at all and talk to her. Then the desserts came and again the chef brought them and even had to bring us the cutlery. I have to say that even though the service was terrible we had a lovely time and the restaurant deserves 5 stars from us. The chefs are top of the top and very professional. Best wishes to them and especially Philip for the extra mile he went for us. <3 The Beben family

Avoid for food at all costs. Decent service but the food is horrendously over priced. The kitchen staff lack any passion for food or skill. Sent the bruschetta back as it was effectively some sad halved cherry tomatoes on bread, the steak at £30 each was overcooked (ordered two medium rare and received one medium and one medium well done) and the sauce for the moules mariniere was bland and watery. Incredibly disappointing meal.

Service was good and overall relaxed atmosphere. Where it falls down is the food. For what it is its overpriced. Ordered a brushetta, ended up with a thin bit of sourdough and tomatoes, no love, no thought. Calamari was burnt. Steak not cooked properly and tough and chewy (poor quality ingredients). Ordered the chicken picante, which came burnt! Most dishes accompanied by generic bag of shop bought rocket (and one dish had the added addition of a dead caterpillar (dish wasn't even taken off the bill!)). Just shows cost saving of going for mass market ingredients that cost a fraction of what we ended up paying! On the plus side our brownie was decent. First time and last time eating there!

Went here a few years ago and enjoyed it so decided to go again, but we ended up going somewhere else after 20min. Main reason: Service was very poor standard. There seemed to be no manager to direct. The guy who seated us looked like he had just got out bed, didn’t offer water, and there was a walk don’t run mentality, it wasn’t even busy, I counted 4 people on the floor just milling around while the fire alarm kept beeping. There is no enthusiasm or warm welcome just very tone deaf. Sadly this is a common occurrence in hospitality lately, I feel it’s becoming less of a profession. It wasn’t like this when I used to work in restaurants and that was only a few years ago. If you want a good example of how to do good service go to Pizza Firenze. It’s a shame because the food and atmosphere is great, but if I’m going to pay £18 for a burger I want good, attentive service and to walk away with a pleasant experience.

It used to be very good with decent quality food and drinks. A few months ago they changed management and it became awful. We tried to give this place a chance a few times, but it keeps getting worse. Half a chicken means a couple of small charred chicken pieces, burger is a highly processed rubber patty (they say its in-house made but it's not possible, trust me), steak is not cooked as asked. Even chips tasted bland (how is it possible!). We could not eat our meals, and left. Had to order dinner on UberEats as we walked out, as kids were starving at that point. Worst of all - none of the staff take any accountability. They say that they are either new, or it's not their fault but management's etc.. Will not be back to this place in the near future and don't recommend it to anyone. Actually surprised they get any people paying for that rubbish.

Sunday lunch. Decent menu choices. Best burger I have eaten in a long time, I had the bacon, cheeseburger. Some places use various reasons to serve up an overcooked burger. I asked for mine to still be moist in the centre, and it was perfect. It is clearly a combination of the quality of the meat and attention to the cooking. We live locally and have been here a few times, we loved the atmosphere the first few visits but the service wasn’t good, except if you order at the bar for drinks only then it is quite good. In the beginning we made excuses for it knowing that Covid had an impact on new staff needing trained etc, but the food was good and made up for the poor service. However the last couple of times we’ve been for brunch/lunch and the service was very sub par and food either overcooked (burnt pizza) or undercooked (eggs). Todays Benedict had only one slice of bacon and the eggs had so much water in them and were way under cooked so they had to bring more. The staff didn’t know what food was available and we needed to ask 3 times just to get some water (20-30min and there was only 3 occupied tables so not busy at all) There was a manager around who looked like he knew what he was doing and was up and down sorting other tables wish he could have helped us, as he knew what was going on. I think this location is amazing, and the food CAN be good so maybe today was a (another) bad day, but the service is constantly not good in the restaurant area and doubt we’ll return for food again.

The wrong side of average…. This should be THE go to place in the Teddington/Hampton area, but it just fails on so many levels. The best part of this place is the great mix of bar and restaurant. Casual, but modern and lively. The atmosphere is great, with good music and a good decor, it’s genuinely pretty cool, but sadly that’s where it stops. My wife had a salad, which in fairness she loved. My son though had a pizza which he hated and I had the most tasteless pasta I’ve ever had. And at £17 it was clearly a ripoff which had been given the ‘let’s use the pandemic to charge more’ treatment. Maybe not so bad possibly, but it took 15 minutes to take our drink order and 25 minutes for the desserts to come, the air conditioning made it freezing all evening, even though it was 7 degrees outside and there were at least 3 things on the menu that weren’t available. For atmosphere it’s great, for food and service though it’s at the bottom of the ladder and also one of the most expensive in the area.

Lovely venue and space. Last year when I came here, the food was great too. But this time, I went for cocktails and was disappointed. I requested what I thought was a fairly common cocktail but it took two staff to make the disarano sour and unfortunately, it wasn't the best. I offered to change my mind to something different but they insisted it would be okay as they had found instructions on the board behind the bar. I appreciate staff might need to be trained, but with no warning of this and then the cost of £9.50 I was unimpressed. The pub itself has a good atmosphere but I wouldn't go back for cocktails.

Service was good at the bar and in restaurant area. The food was good, felt it was a tad pricey for a bar restaurant but we weren't rushed and overall a pleasant evening.

Shockingly bad. Been here before and it was good but today was carnage. Drinks were slow. Starters took forever and same with mains. When the food came pizza was good but chicken burger inedible. Staff did their best and gave a discount but would not risk this again.

Went just after Christmas, had brunch which was great. Went the following day for lunch but had a mixed experience. Some meals were excellent, The Fish, Pizza and Burgers but the Sunday dinner and Steak not so much.

An absolutely great place with young staff and a wonderful decor. The food was amazing. Prawns with garlic to start and fish and chips. The fish was perfect. Shame I didn't takes pictures. Prices high as per mist restaurants now which isn't the fault of the restaurant. So, for locals ... lucky you. And the pizzas looked amazing from a proper wood oven. Next time ...

First time visiting, won’t be my last! Delicious food and very friendly towards children. The pizza fire oven entertained my 3 year old grandson whole visit! Delicious food that caters for those with allergies. Conveniently located for Hampton Theatre. Merry Christmas 🎄

Good bar for dinner and drinks...went there on a Saturday evening early and there were a couple of tables so that was good

Extortionate prices. Be warned. Food quality was average. Portions meagre. However a pleasant vibe and location and friendly service but sadly we won’t be returning

Came as a group for a Christmas dinner. I had a fishcake starter which was alright . As for the main It was so bland literally so bland almost reminded me of hospital food. Service was slow had to keep asking for drinks to be brought generally the service was slow. As for the staff they were lovely and kept apologising for the delays. Can’t fault the waiting staff but as for the food, it needs working on.

Possibly the worst cooked breakfast we’ve ever attempted to eat . The service was polite and no problems there but the food was simply awful . Processed ham , a pale fried egg and some frozen chips . Indelible and the little I ate repeated on me all day , my daughter felt quite unwell after attempting to eat the full English - managed 1 sausage toast and a few beans . Go over the bridge and there are some beautiful cafes instead.

Absolutely recommend The Wharf. We were there for my sisters 50th birthday Barbara, Debbie & KP were all very accommodating even though it was the festive season menu we could tweak it so my sister felt it was her actual birthday not Christmas! Food was impeccable atmosphere was electric with a DJ which made the party come alive! A huge shout out to KP for being our right hand man making sure our celebrations went off without a hitch. The staff were always at hand making sure we had a great night. The Wharf is an amazing venue for couples families or friends. This is my 2nd big event at The Wharf as we had a big retirement/work do in the summer with a huge buffet accommodating nearly 100 guests. As I said I would highly recommend The Wharf. Can’t wait to go back in the new year.

Very busy pub , however incredibly beautiful , drinks were delicious as we did not have time to eat , and the service was good

We have enjoyed eating here in the past but on this occasion it was a definite deux points. When you pay nearly £50 for two small plates of fish and chips and two pints of cider you expect it to be better than the fish and chips at Morrisons. Instead the fish was dry and clearly not restaurant quality while the chips were indifferent at best. If I’d paid £8 in a cafe I would have been disappointed but in a “bistro” pub that pretends to be a Belgian style restaurant it feels like yet another eating establishment that has lost its way.

Just dropped in for a single pint on route to a restaurant meal. Pub is fine, food offerings look OK, but we didn't eat. My only issue was that there were no hand-pumps, hence no proper ale and I didn't see any on keg either. Nice enough place if you like a good selection of lagers.
