Nice location but really lacked atmosphere for us. Food pretty good but nothing personal. No fresh flowers on tables. Felt like Instagram or Christmas party venue. Staff helpful but did not feel 'involved'. Something missing?

We booked The Wharf earlier this month for our wedding and it surpassed our expectations! All of our guests were blown away by the gorgeous location and delicious food, with everything expertly organised on the day by KP, who we cannot thank enough! We’re still getting compliments weeks later (especially about the beef wellington and tuna!). We can’t wait to come back for each anniversary, and many times in between, as it is such a lovely venue. Thanks to all on the day who made it so special and stress-free . We were able to bring in our own band who really got the party started, even the fab bar staff had a dance behind the bar! We would highly recommend for weddings, or just a lovely lunch/ dinner (and cocktail!)

There was a jazz singer performing which was enjoyable and is the reason for the noise level score.

Came here for my best friends wedding - it is an excellent venue for a wedding, and would be a lovely spot for some lunch during a boat trip or walk along the river

What a gem 💎 We came yesterday especially for the half lobster and chips and that did not disappoint . Such a lovely setting for lunch near the river Thames. The staff were particularly excellent in every aspect from - front of house who gave such a warm welcome , waiting staff were attentive & helpful without being overly intrusive so you could enjoy your lunch. Also the lovely waiter that dealt with an issue I had so well and in a kindly manner. We will recommend and definitely return ❤️ Averil

A very pleasant lunch, lovely food, patient service, reasonable prices.

Despite being in the throughs of preparing an imminent wedding reception the restaurant manager 'KP' took personal charge- setting us at the prime table on the river terrace, organizing and we suspect personally preparing the Greek salads and lobster( superb): faultless service and dining. Very well done indeed.

On the 28th July we visited this establishment. The Head waiter was oddly catty and was pushing to remove us from our reserved table until it became apparent that we were not moving from the nice view we wanted. Then the food was appalling, the salmon starter the couple of slices of bread, dry and curld with a few square slices dumped unceremoniously it's lucky salmons flavour is hard to destroy and the balance of non salmon ingredients felt like a economy exercise because it was not a elegance one. The Lobster was much the same a flavourless mess apart from being bitter saying they are poor at dispatching. The hake was a little better but again hard to get wrong without it being sent back. Everything felt like it was preped poorly days in advance. They then missed taking our cocktail order because we had the audacity to not want a third badly produced course. And then the final nail in the coffin was the catty one sent the most worried little girl waitress over with the lie that our bill had it's 20% discount pre applied. I believe we made the mistake of polightly checking on the way in that we could use it with the set menu and this is the justification for the catty ones actions, the food and the staffs abruptness I fear. It's a shame such a terrible establishment is in this wonderful location. I was hoping to have the excuse visit regularly when I sat down by the time I had the starter I was feeling like a inconvenience and by the time I left I was having to bite my tongue at the treatment that stemmed from the catty head waiter and his obvious judgment of me and my partner. Obviously he back stabbed his way to this lofty position but thank God he will never make it to being a true maître d'. Best I think he moves to a call centre, low middle management, from what I hear he would fit that exalted position much better. Or maybe sales assistant in hermes branch.

You couldn’t wish for a better location on a sunny day. The outdoor terrace has a lovely riverside setting. Food was average service very polite and friendly if a bit slow. All in all an enjoyable experience

We have dined at The Wharf a number of times over the past few years and it’s always been very good. However on this occasion (belated birthday celebration) our experience was excellent. A combination of delicious food and wine, attentive service and super, relaxed atmosphere made for a wonderful evening for both of us.

We were very lucky with the weather as it was the hottest day of the year so we sat outside with a wonderful view of the river and Teddington Lock. The service was good and professional and the food lovely. I would recommend the souffle which was perfect.

The Wharf is our favourite restaurant ever. Had our wedding reception here two years ago and have been back each year to celebrate. Food always perfect, so delicious. KP couldn't do enough for us, he always makes it so so special. Can't wait to come back.

Beautiful setting with a great ambience for lunch. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. I had skate and it was absolutely delicious, so well cooked. I would recommend The Wharf to all.

I hired their private room upstairs for an intimate wedding celebration and the team were exceptional to work with. In the months leading up to the wedding they very helpful to organise meetings to ensure all preparations were made and provided recommendations for live music. They were able to deliver exactly what we wanted in creating a relaxing but elevated evening to celebrate with our friends and family. The food was delicious and curated to our tastes, and the staff were very attentive in making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to Barbara, Debbie, KP and the evening staff for a great evening :)

A really special afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. Would recommend to all.

Absolutely glorious afternoon overlooking the river enjoying delicious food with my friends. The service was impeccable and my choice from the daily lunch menu was perfect. Gazpacho with croutons and pesto was amazing and the pasta too. My friends said their prawn cocktail was delicious as was the salmon patty. The only niggle for me was the small side portion of seasonal vegetables, but only a tiny niggle, everything else was perfect.

Not many more scenic and peaceful spots by the river for a sunny lunch than the Wharf

We had a lovely meal to celebrate an anniversary. The service from the young waiter was excellent and the food lovely though my partner thought his skate wing was smaller than on our last visit and slightly overcooked. My haddock was excellent and the moules marinieres delicious. We had a great table overlooking the Thames.

A quiet gem of a restaurant with river views. The food was superb, the service amazing. The ambiance was a bit quiet as the restaurant wasn't very busy and there was no background music. However, it was perfect for having a conversation with everyone at the table. There are very few places like this in Teddington. Therefore it is very sad that the surrounding residents seem to try to impose restrictions on the place... Keeping the noise down, closing early etc. etc.

Lovely experience for my Grandad’s 80th birthday, the food was delicious. We didn’t get seated where we had asked to be which was a shame as we had previously booked with this as a promise, however the experience was lovely. It was our waitresses first day and she did a great job, we didn’t get her name but I hope this is passed on!

Should have left as soon as we were shown an unclothed table with one water glass, right by the stairs, if I had moved my chair back without looking, I would have fallen down the stairs, right in the thoroughfare, next to a very large party. We asked for another table, but none available. Long wait between courses as staff dealing with party, food ok, had better. Will not recommend or return.

Advice on wine much appreciated, lamb partially over cooked and delicious soufflé. Nit picking! Wrong person was addressed as having the birthday. Also delicious fruit dessert. A very pleasant experience overall.

Fantastic restaurant right on the river with great views. Lovely outdoor area on the river and also great atmosphere inside, especially nice on a sunny day. Food is delicious and outstanding service. We turned up on a busy Sunday and they accommodated an extra 3 people on our reservation. Had the set menu Sunday lunch and everything was great.

Booked this for my mums 75th birthday, asked for a special table so was a shame we were placed in the corner. Really spoilt it . Food lovely

Delicious birthday meal! 3 of us had chicken schnitzel and 1 had fish & chips - all delicious but the chicken schnitzel was outstanding, so tasty. Good portion sizes. Lovely service and we were lucky to have a sunny evening which made the ambience and setting even more special.

I had the pleasure of being invited to an exclusive wine tasting lunch on 21si May. It was stunning. Excellent food and wine, even managed to get an extra couple glasses!

Very nice vibe, friendly staff and wonderful location. Disappointed by the lack of vegan options, however. In need of some tofu fish and chips, vegan salads and desserts.

The location is superb, and the food is very good. It was busy (2 birthday parties I think), so service a little slower than usual and the noise level was pretty high! (To be fair we were seated next to one of the parties). We were in no hurry, so it was still a very pleasant experience.

We used to go here years ago ( before children) and had lost the habit. A family birthday had prompted us to come again. The experience was delightful. The food was as good as any we've found in the Kingston/ Hampton/ Teddington area, the staff were attentive and pleasant, and - when the weather is good - the setting is pleasant. There is adequate parking. Recommended.

We had a marvellous experience from the moment we arrived, brining my mother for lunch and to celebrate a family birthday. The welcome was warm and welcoming. The food was simply amazing, wonderful seasonal food. I love the oysters here. Simply can’t fault anything here, and I’d run out of superlatives very easily. I’d recommend the cheese soufflé and the skate. Delicious!

We have recently come back to the Wharf and find that the food, ambience, service and the price, particularly the fixed menu is excellent. Years ago we did have a problem with the noise level so that has been solved. We only go for lunch as we are elderly.

Staff were lovely and the restaurant is well located next to the Thames. However, the food didn't live up to the prices on the menu. Good but not exceptional quality.

Very beautiful place with a great atmosphere! Glass terrace overlooking the River. The food is very delicious! But you can only order 2 or 3 set menu. Cherry on the top -live jazz!

Excellent value for the price fixe menu which I understand is available all day Monday and for lunches until Friday. 2 courses £18. The service was very busy today, and the staff appeared to struggle with the numbers of covers. Overall, very good and we will be more regular customers in the future.

Lovely place and staff. We had the same dish as before but not quite as good.

Right from the start staff got our drinks order wrong. We didn’t order starters and the mains arrived without the side dish, which eventually arrived. The steak was extremely good, but that was it. And for £42 for a steak I was expecting at least ‘extremely good’. Staff had to be searched for so we could order more drinks. We then ordered dessert, which again arrived with one missing. The cheesecake should have had ice cream and various other bits but arrived without because ‘we changed it but haven’t updated the menu yet’. AND the profiteroles were still frozen when they arrived on the table. Desserts are £9.50 each!! I’d never been to The Wharf before last night and was really looking forward to it. Friends have been and tell of great meals and fun. After the catalogue of errors we won’t be going back. None of it was worth what we paid. There are too many other places to eat at and have a great meal that is worth paying for.

The Wharf continues to be an exceptional establishment in a beautiful location with attentive staff and great choice of food.

We had a table for 7 to celebrate a family birthday and waited 30mins for drinks to arrive and 2 hours for our main courses. Terrible service and average food quality when it arrived. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was good but we waited and waited and waited, for everything. Real shame as could be a cracking restaurant.

We met at the Wharf after an absence of about 15 years. We chose the River menu as it appeared excellent value but expected the portions to be small. On the contrary, they were very good and the food quality was very good. All in all, an excellent lunch!

I work as a recommended cake supplier at The Wharf several times a year. The team (Debbie & KP particularly) are fantastic and I absolutely love working with them! A professional, friendly and personal approach and all my clients have echoed such positive experiences. A lovely venue for a wedding reception or have an event with the added bonus of access by river and river views. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Want to say a special thank you to Kalpesh who made our experience at the wharf absolutely exceptional! We travelled far on the whim to visit the wharf and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was sensational and all came in perfect timing. The desserts were the cherry on top and could not fault anything. If you’re looking for a place to eat don’t pass by this place and certainly ask for Kalpesh.

There were three of us and we all had the set menu. There were lovely choices for each course, all meals were beautifully presented. A glass of wine was included. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The whole experience was excellent and we’re very much looking forward to returning in the warmer weather.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal, my mocktails too were absolutely lovely, all enjoyed with the backdrop of live jazz musicians.

A very very pleasant evening from every perspective

Food was good even though they had no prawn cocktail and no yorkshire pudding to go with the roast beef. Instead they offered extra potatoes. We sat at our table (which did not have table cloth or any condiments). Also the table was squashed in between at one pointva waiter apologised for intruding on our space. We waited for at least 5 mins before we were asked if we would like a drink. So we ordered our food roast beef x2 at the same time . After waiting for about 15/20 mins we were then told there was no more yorkshire pudding so you will get extra veg. The extra potatoes came after we had been eating for couple of minutes. We felt very uncomfortable because of where the table was we were squeezed in between a party of about14 people and behind a family of 3. We have used the Wharf many times in the past over the years, but feel it has gone down hill.

Good quality food cooked well and a reasonable view by the river. The atmosphere was ok. The prices were eye watering and the shepherds pie had very little meat.

What a wonderful treat! I was lucky enough to win a St Patricks's Day menu in The Wharf and it exceeded my expectations in deliciousness, the location is beautiful in the Teddington Riverside, the service so friendly and attentive, and the ambience pure joy! It was full on St. Patrick's Day celebration and could not have been better. The 3 course menu offered for the occasion was delicious. We started with Irish oysters, they were exquisite, so much so we had to order a second round. The prawn and crab cocktail starter was so fresh tasty and so generous in quantity. From the main course selection, the Beef & Guinness pie deserved an Irish tune of its own! And oh my word the Knickerbocker Glory for dessert was literally glorious! An overall amazing delicious and fun experience! Cannot wait to go back!

Fantastic night for the St Patrick’s Day celebration in the Wharf last night, great Irish menu, decorations and music with a live band, and DJ. My family had a great night, it was a lovely surprise, you made an Irish person feel right at home last night!

Poor service - only to be told by one of the waiters that they actually get most of their food from M&S which is reheated and serviced at a ridiculous profit margin. Disappointed.

Wow Whenever I’m in teddington I always like to pay a visit to the Wharfe.. Everytime I return it has improved a little more. After my last visit I didn’t think there was much improvement to be had.. This time really was by far out of this world I had the steak frites and the meat was melt in your mouth. I’m not a desert person … I shared the Black Forest cheesecake as a special treat and this was without question the best Iv ever tasted. My partner had the forerib of beef and was so pleased to see he was defeated by the portion which was very generous! The ambience was perfect and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Paired with an after dinner stroll next to the river .. A absolute must visit if your in the area

Mother’s Day and the restaurant increased their 2/3 course options by £10 so not normally £35 but £45 each with a 12.5% service charge on top. Disgraceful behaviour. Not even a sweet for the mother’s . Why are you trying to rip us off?
