This place doesn't disappoints. The food is inventive, well presented and delicious. No pretence. Just good food. Valentine menus tend to be boring but not this one. The choices were good and the fixed price was such good value for 4 course..

I have never had a bad meal.or experience at the Brittania. The ambiance is always relaxing and enjoyable. The staff always friendly and.welcoming and the food is always well presented and to a high standard. Certainly one of our favourites...

Lovely gem in the heart of Richmond! Food was delicious, I had scallops and calf's liver and dark chocolate dessert. The dessert was the least favourite but other than that it was a lovely discovery! It has a restaurant feel more than a pub and linen on the table! The waitress was also brava!

Not exactly a gastro pub. White table cloths. I know it used to be a pub and there's a bar. But very good food at a classy restaurant. This isn't scampi in a basket.

Lovely meal, had tempura prawns then a roast. Best roast potatoes in west London for a pub, nice and crispy. Well balanced roast with plenty of vegetables. A little slow for main course to arrive but otherwise very good. Love a pub with white tablecloths! Makes it feel more upmarket. Food generally excellent here.

The Britannia on the wonderfully named Brewers Lane in Richmond. A great little 'pub', more of a restaurant really but busy and happy. Great staff and a wonderful welcome. Happily imbibed a pint of lager and noted a couple of casks on offer. This is a busy, popular place focussed on welcoming families and friends to dine and relax. A great place.

Came for new years in a big group - the service was impeccable, the food was amazing (huge and tasty chateaubriand) and very reasonable considering the quality and the evening. Great experience as always and big thanks to our server, she was excellent.

Great gastropub with a delicious variety of food and drinks. I had the crab, linguine vongole and a roast here all on separate occasions and they were all incredibly.

I have eaten at The Brittania several times, never disappointed. Food was delicious, pate starter, chicken and porchini linguine mains, my friend said the tiramisu was the best she’s had! Service was attentive and friendly. Value for money.

My new favourite place to go for dinner. We were early for our booking but we were greeted so warmly. Our table was waiting for us which was a real bonus at this time of year! White table cloths and napkins add an air of luxury. So rarely see these days. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was very good. A couple of good vegetarian options too. Great house wines. Reasonably priced. The extra spicy bloody marys are to die for! Get yourselves booked in.

Fantastic place to meet our daughter for a meal prior to going to the pantomime. Excellent service, attentive staff and time to chat and enjoy an beautiful meal. Excellent mushy peas and tartare sauce complemented the fantastic fish & chips. Plus Tiramisu to die for .

Good restaurant but there were too many little kids in the place at 6 pm on Sunday. I suggest you come after 7:30 pm to avoid the little ones.

Tuvimos una agradable experiencia gastronómica en The Britannia. El restaurante tiene un ambiente agradable, y los precios son razonables. Probé el pescado con papas fritas, que estaba bien cocinado pero carecía de sabor, por lo que no volvería a pedirlo. Sin embargo, el plato de mi marido era excelente - un plato bien redondeado con cordero rosa perfectamente cocinado, una salsa sabrosa, mousse de apio suave, una ensalada de col fresca y deliciosas papas pavimentadas. En general, una buena experiencia, y volveríamos a visitar.

We love this place but unfortunately the upstairs where we sat was ridiculously hot and none of the windows were open. We had to ask the next table to open the window next to them. Nice to be snug but it was like a sauna. Also, and I know it was not the restaurant’s fault, but they had two large tables for an office Christmas party. Not quite sure why people need to shout and scream (god I’m sounding old!) but small space and wooden floors didn’t help. Again, I’m all for a fun atmosphere but when you can’t hear the person next to you in what is usually quite an intimate restaurant, then maybe others need to be a little more self aware? Normally the Britannia is excellent and we will come back, but perhaps I’ll think about time of year. Ps the staff were very pleasant and hard working despite the stifling heat

Really a super restaurant . It isn’t a pub. The food is high level , very good . The service and ambience excellent . Definitely a favourite for those who know it.

Fab food, great service, lovely atmosphere - and quiet enough to have a good conversation without being distracted. The staff were lovely from start to finish, attentive without being overly bearing, and kindly giving me a glass of port on the house as the one I’d wanted had run out. I highly recommend this place, and would have given it 5-stars for food had our steaks come with hand cut chips, which seemed only fitting for such delicious, perfectly cooked pieces of beef. Small quibble though. Will definitely go again.

I’ve just discovered the Britannia. I went there with a group a few weeks ago it was excellent. So I returns today for a catch up with a friend. We had spicy bloody marys which we absolutely delicious! Then the set menu. The Jerusalem artichoke soup was delicious, as was the muchroom pasta. If I had any complaints, as a vegetarian it was a little rich as the options were limited. But honestly I love it there. Service was great, attentive but not overbearing. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Best roast Sunday lunch in Richmond. No dought.

Stopped in for dinner after the match at Twickenham. Very busy but very efficient staff. Reasonably elegant menu and a stunning mushroom truffle pasta main. A little disappointed with the tiramisu, but overall a very pleasant meal.

Lovely, attentive service. Excellent Sunday pork roast, Yorkshire pudding was soft and delicious unlike the hard Tasteless examples I’ve had at other restaurants. Would loved to have tried the puddings but too full.

Very nice restaurant when previously visited, hence the return. Staff seemed very busy and were attending to, too many tables, hence slow service. We had food which we did not order coming to our table. We e planned it was not our order. The starter “ twice baked Soufflé” which seemed popular, looked all the same over done and the Herb velouté was congealed and cold. We had wondered if it was mass prepared and then left or tried to be reheated hence the cold rubbery texture? Mains sadly no order notes were followed and by dessert we had given up. Drinks would have been great if you could get the young male waiter whom seemed so fed up, attention. More customer foucused staff and freshly hot prepared food is required here.

The Britannia in Richmond is a regular and reliable "go-to" place for us. On our latest visit the staff were up to scratch as usual and the atmosphere/ambience really excellent. The food fell slightly short of the normal very high standard, especially the starter and main course, although our desert was delicious. Hopefully next time everything will be back at the level we expect from this normally excellent place.

As usual, generous portions of delicious food served with a smile. Wine menu is a treat too. We were very comfortable and cosy on the terrace. Great atmosphere- a real buzz. Always a treat. Highly recommend.

An Absolutely Wonderful locatiom!!! From Entrance-Exit! Starter/Main/Dessert 10/10. Would Highly recommend:- Starter:- Chicken Liver Parfait/Roasted Orkney scollaps. Mains:- Calves liver/Lamb Dessert:- Apple/Blackberry Crumble/Sorbet

A pre theatre supper very pleasant but so overpriced When I arrived we had a small table by the door I asked the manager if I could hang my coat up Seemed to be a problem never smiled or asked how I was total contrast to the two smiling lovely waitresses that served us The fish and chips was okay very crisp batter and small portion of pre cut chips Bottle of wine fine but the bill came to £101 Won’t be returning as it’s nothing special which is a shame as I’ve frequented the Britannia for many years.

High quality food and pleasant staff made an enjoyable pre theatre (130 metres away).

Ambience was relaxed. Staff very helpful. It was my partners birthday so they gave him a free beer. Lovely location and value for money.

El personal hace este lugar! Un almuerzo improvisado con un amigo me llevó a Richmond, donde entramos en Britannia para un almuerzo temprano. Estaban ocupados pero sin hacernos sentir como si estuviéramos siendo un dolor dijeron que nos podían dar una mesa siempre y cuando desocupamos en 3 horas. No tenía señal telefónica, ya que estaba escondido en un callejón y estaba tratando de enviar un mensaje, un miembro del personal se dio cuenta y se acercó pensativamente para preguntar si estaba luchando y me gustaría saltar en el WiFi. El servicio amable pero atento y fácil te hace sentir como si estuvieras en la casa de alguien, hospitalidad tan amable. Oh y la comida es genial, pero una advertencia, las porciones son grandes, así que no dejes que tus ojos sean demasiado grandes para tu vientre!

Delightful Sunday lunch with friends on a lovely autumn day. Good choice of roasts and puddings, just what we needed, and very pleasant service.

Such a good restaurant, excellent food, a good menu and wine list, and good service, I had the Lamb, and my wife had the linguini we left happy and full!

Simple food prepared and presented very well, in an informal, calm environment. A real treat.

Very nice atmosphere and ambiance. Quick service, friendly and accommodating staff! Only criticism, I ordered the burger which was delicious apart from the very hot/spicy slaw which was also on the burger! This was not necessary as the burger was flavoursome without it!

Dined with my wife, and we both had the set menu. This is a lovely restaurant and the food was delicious and excellent value. Service was great 👍 I'm glad we found this little gem. Overall, it was a fabulous evening, and we'll definitely return.
