This is the ideal place to come to if you want a perfect lunch, that's appetising, well presented, delicious to eat and filling.

Great pub in great location a must visit, friendly staff reasonable prices. A bit far from home but would definitely go again.

First time visiting since new ownership and wow! The food is fantastic and service wonderful! We went for an anniversary dinner and loved it so much. Lovely atmosphere and incredible food!

We were staying at Orchard Campsite in Reeth so I looked for somewhere to eat on Friday night - i booked a table in case it was busy. It’s a 5 minute stroll from campsite ( there are 2 other pubs also in this very pretty village, we drank in both but didn’t eat in either) when we arrived it was very quiet, but a warm pleasant atmosphere. We ordered a drink at the bar and then were shown our table, perfect I asked for a table in a corner because we have a vocal but friendly dog. On the table was a water bowl and a bowl of dog treats and cooked meat for our dog - this is a very considerate and lovely touch. There were 2 young lads serving one behind the bar and the other serving food to tables. They were like a comedy duo - both were extremely friendly and plenty of good humoured banter between themselves, we were lucky that we had a similar taste in music (Download Festival chat) but they were happy and pleasant to everyone that came in. We ordered the Fish Friday special ( 2 fish suppers for £16.95) very quick service and amazing value for money, I couldn’t fault any part of either of our dinners, fresh crispy battered fish, not too many chips and good mushy peas. Obviously we were not the only ones thinking this as it soon filled up and most tables were taken. Service was efficient and friendly to everyone. My only 1 niggle which started out as funny but ended up being a bit annoying after hearing it a dozen times is the tune that lets the staff know the food is ready in the kitchen - while I understand there has to be something loud enough for them to hear over happy drinkers and diners, I’m sure a couple of bell rings would be adequate, or a light that stays lit til food is picked up from the kitchen ( I am a chef and am sure the chefs think it is highly amusing pressing this button but if your in there as a customer for a couple of hours on a busy evening not so much). Having said that I would not hesitate to go back with friends and family for food and drinks.

Stayed for 2 nights the room was spotlessly clean the bed comfortable the ensuite bathroom was quirky to say the least you couldn't open the.door fully it hit the sink so step in close door toilet didn't flush properly if at all very cramped space shower dated no mat so used the hand towel scaffolding all around the outside of the pub so that was the view from the room In the bar staff were friendly food was freshly cooked pub grub Breakfast was disappointing Coffee undrinkable very weak Full English looked very unappetising and sachets galore in a room that had blue fairy lights everywhere!The decor well every shelf/surface was covered with random ornaments even an unicorn cookie jar !!!every wall has a plaque/sign/picture extremely cluttered scruffy plastic pots held an array of sachets of sauces from various brands I believe the place is owned by a brewery chain so maybe its mid renovation whatever its needs decluttering would I stay there again No

A fantastic welcome awaits for dogs and all at the King Arms. At the front of house is Gina who’s an absolute treasure, doggy friendly and very hospitable. But it doesn’t mean that the service and food aren’t equally good just that she has levelled up the canines. The Kings Arms has a good selection of cask ales and interesting menu’s. The specials are great value for money, well presented and ample. Again Gina checks in and makes sure you have all you want and are happy. Indeed all the team work hard to keep the customers satisfied. We dinned several times in the week and it made no sense not too enjoying every meal and conversation with fellow guests. Bottom line is the Kings Arms was the background sound track to our splendid holiday in Reeth.

What a great find 👍if you have dogs this place is amazing, on arrival dog bowl with treats and meat in , bowl water , and chocs and biscuits for the ‘humans 🤣🤣landlady very welcoming and can’t do enough for you , the toilets are spotless and everything you need , food menu’s extensive and service excellent…..it’s a must when you visit reeth 👍

Stayed here one night on our Coast to Coast walk. Positives were that the wait staff in the bar and restaurant were efficient and friendly. The food was generally good. The room was quite spacious, however the toilet did not refill after flushing. We managed by refilling the tank manually. When we brought this up the next morning, staff told us that it had been that way for sometime and they were hoping to get someone out to fix it sometime. I guess they don’t place a high priority on a working toilet, I used the one downstairs in the restaurant. Also the packed lunches included 2 partially rotten apples and fairly tasteless ham and cheese sandwiches without condiments. I wish I could recommend,

I stayed 1 night as part of the Herriot Way walk in a very comfortable second floor double room with a lovely view over the green.. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and all the staff I encountered were very helpful. Dinner was excellent and I must single out the waiting staff for the excellent table service and Simon for dealing with my dinner booking so efficiently. The overall experience was first class and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Two very minor niggles, Firstly, you had to carry your own bag up to the room which after a long walk and with two sets of stairs to negotiate, was a bit knackering. I understand why but other places do this for you. (poor lamb - I can hear you say!).Secondly breakfast started at 8.30 which is a bit late for walkers facing a long day and seeking an early start. Again I understand fully why this is. Deserving of 4 stars overall

The King’s Arms is a very good traditional pub in the centre of Reeth. They have a good selection of drinks including real ales, and our pints of Wainwright’s were very good. We didn’t eat here, but it is clearly very popular for dining and I must say that the food we saw being served looked very good indeed. Service was welcoming and very good.

Good pub grub and a large number of options to choose from. They do a range of specials (a different one each evening) which offer value for money. It wasn’t busy the night we went and we were served quickly. We both went for the fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was nice and white and very tasty though we were slightly disappointed to be served what we thought were frozen oven chips.

Lovely relaxing evening st our favourite pub in Reeth. Both the service and food are 10/10. We loved our relaxing evenings here. Our dogs out treated like queens.. can’t wait to go back

If you want poxy half portions or fiddling little bits in the center of your plate, then The Kings Arms is not for you. When you eat at the Kings Arms you are never half full as they serve good food ,cooked well. I can recommend the pies,fish pie is my favorite but the meat pies come with a separate gravy boat. The burgers look like high rise flats as they are very large. The Kings Arms have a different theme each night, steak and wine ,curry's ,fish. They also cater for vegetarians and anyone with allergies,or special diets. I can't eat fats so they worked round my needs. You only have to say and they will try to come up with a solution. So if you want good food either meat ,vegetarian or something else I would recommend you try the Kings Arms. Me thinks I could just eat one of Phil's fish pies.

Another visit with friends to our favourite pub. Despite the great selection of food, it was comical we all opted for Phil's famous lasagne. Between us we rave about it and all but one had tried it before last night. Didn't disappoint even for the newbie lasagne eater. Finished off with a gorgeous dessert, piping hot treacle sponge and custard. Always a good night and meal.

I dined here with friends. Food was fine - standard pub grub but very acceptable. Wainwright beer was very well kept. Prices were reasonable. But. But. But. I am getting on a bit and struggle to hear conversations when the music being played over the sound system is loud, and this was too loud. I asked the bar attendant twice if it could be turned down and she said she would have to ask the manager. The music stayed loud all night. I struggled to hear other people and we all had to shout. To add insult to injury, the music was British 70s pop music that doesn’t deserve a replay. Won’t be going back.

Went to Kings Arms expecting a pub meal, but ended up with a lot more. Quality restaurant food was served in a separate dining room by friendly and efficient staff. Good food, good service at a reasonable price, what more can you ask for 👍

Are here 7 nights in 11 days, best value by far, always a great meal, tasty and plentyful, each night has a 'deal'. Super dog friendly, Dave & Badger get their own water bowl and bowl full of biscuits and meat off cuts. Atmosphere is relaxed, nothing is rushed, staff are friendly and helpful and like to chat between serving. Back next year, will dine here again. Thanks everyone
