We had an excellent meal and first class service from Jade who was also very helpful and friendly.She also helped us to understand the app and explained everything to us.We really enjoyed our fish & chips and our friends enjoyed the hunters chicken meal.

Lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, nothing is impossible as we have funny eaters in the family. Food was nice tasting. I had Lasagne, probably the nicest I have ever had in a pub. The garlic bread was a little sparse. My wife had the sausage and mash, and again said it was probably the best she had had. Again, let down by the lack of gravy with it. When she asked for a little extra gravy (never been a problem in other pubs) she was told she would have to pay for it. Probably lost a couple of repeat customers over a small portion of gravy!

On the last few visits I have noticed how hard the team in the Henry work to give good customer service. The other week I was part of a large group in celebrating a retirement. The team brought all the food out together and there was not one complaint amongst us. For a group of 26 I think that was amazing. Then the other night I was in with my family celebrating my daughter’s birthday. It was her choice to come for tea because she wanted to do the bingo. Food was great but I would like to give thanks to Wayne for making a fuss of her and singing happy birthday to her and also recognise Aaron for their customer service. There were times when Aaron was run off his feet but he continued to serve with a smile and give great customer service. I work in retail so I know how difficult this can be when you have a massive cue on and you are serving alone. Keep up the great work and Thank you

We went today. There was 18 of us including our 6 grandbabies everyone got there food together and Hot ! Food was very nice. Kids loved the make your own ice-cream sundaes. A huge big THANKYOU to the hardworking staff that made my hubbies 60th birthday celebrations go without a hitch x

King Henry has vastly improved under Toni the new manager. A special mention for Chris very friendly and approachable and very good at his job.

At last we've got our pub back to normal the place is cleaner, warmer & better managed than its been for years, Its great to see it thriving again The staff are friendly & polite (shout out to chris) & always busy keeping the tables cleared & clean There's also a massive improvement on food Toni & her team are doing a great job

Rude staff! Queue at the bar when only one staff serving and other staff wiping cutlery and collecting plates and empty glasses. Serve people first with their drinks. The pub wasn't even that busy that tables should have been a priority over customers.

A pleasure to visit once again. Warm and inviting, food really good and excellent vfm, especially if having a loyalty reward from the sizzling app. Still in need of a refurb or at least some new seating and sky back on with a couple more tv’s. Staff are pleasant and welcoming. Great to see the hard work put in is paying off, well done and thanks.

Our local is back on its knees thanks to the hierarchy at m and b. Find a manager that cares and wants to make the place great again and let him down time after time after time and ultimately he goes to somewhere that will hopefully treat him correctly. I/we are convinced that area management are purposely trying to drive it in to the ground. Promised refurbs, binned, sky sports, binned. Weather outside horrid, heating doesn’t work!! It’s not like it’s a breakdown it’s been like it years. People sat in the place with coats and hats on, is it just me or is that wrong. Last night it was literally falling to bits, a window reveal collapsed nearly hitting customers. It will be interesting to see when and if it gets fixed. The one constant is the staff, as always they are trying their best and keep smiling. Would love to know what is going and why it doesn’t get the investment it deserves. Here’s hoping, I fear it will be a long wait !!!!!

The food and atmosphere was fantastic! Great evening for the whole family. Great value for money and the kids loved the sundae pudding! Quiz night was a bonus too!

My wife loves the sizzling chicken from this pub chain so we booked a table at King Henry to celebrate her birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and, as a surprise, the chef, Dale, personally served her a platter of chocolate, strawberries and sauce - what a wonderful and thoughtful 'gift'. Thank you, Dale and all the staff at King Henry, Rotherham.

Not a good experience. We ordered food & after nearly an hour enquired where it was. It hadn't been sent through to the kitchen! My husband orderd Goodfella burger with chips. I ordered seasoned salmon which is a sizzler. My husband's chips were cold but he said the burger was nice. My salmon was nice but the vegetables were unidentifiable, all mushy, not like the picture. I have had them before so expected it to be. Think maybe a while before we visit again unfortunately.

We arrived at this location expecting decent food and a great ambience but were instead met with poor-quality food and rowdy customers allowed to shout and swear at other customers. (I'd just like to preface this with the fact we used a discount coupon to dine and I'm not suggesting this means we received a poorer service but that may have played a part in our overall dining experience.) We ordered a burger, steak and chilli with the expectation of a decent-sized meal (having read previous reviews of this location we knew the quality wasn't something which was always put first) only to receive a chilli which had around about 4 Doritos crunched up in the corner and a dirty smudged plate. A burger with a piece of sliced cheese placed on it not even melted just placed inside the burger. And finally, a "Sizzler" steak which was more akin to a sparkler, warm but certainly not sizzling. Not to mention the grilled tomato which had been placed on for a second to give the appearance of grill marks and onions which were just slapped on and going cold this also applies to the chips which we had asked for fries and were told we would be getting. Only to receive very stale chips which had clearly been sitting under a light. Whilst dining we witnessed an altercation between two groups of customers in which voices were raised and multiple swears were heard. Instead of asking the customers to leave or trying to de-escalate the situation the wait staff instead went over after the altercation to see what the "drama" was. Frankly, this is a rather poor way to handle the situation, Whilst I understand not wanting to get between people arguing asking them to at least leave or move somewhere else would have been better than just watching. Finally, I'd like to point out a few positives from this experience, the lovely wait staff that brought out food out. Flamboyant and happy to help us and made the whole thing more bearable. And the entertainment that night was also rather fun. Overall a rather poor day out, will be looking for somewhere else to take our money and time in the future. But the waiter who served us deserves a shout-out as they were nothing but nice and pleasant!

Depending on circumstances we usually visit the King Henry once / twice a month either in the afternoon or early evening. Usually we have a few drinks and a main course. We have always found staff friendly and helpful.Food excellent value for money. If we lived nearer we would visit more often.

My wife & I called in for lunch. Generic menu for a pub chain so we went for two meals for £11 and I registered for the £5 off deal. The staff were friendly enough and the food was just what you would expect for that price. I tried the vegan sausages & chips (sludge and sludge) and my wife had the fish & chips (also sludge and sludge). Couldn’t get the £5 off as the email only arrived 2 days later and we live 350 miles away. Never mind, we wouldn’t hurry back anyway.

Went with family for lunch for my grandaughters birthday. We all enjoyed our meals which were well cooked and presented. Loved my chicken wrap......really tasty. Thanks Scott and team for looking after us all so well

A family gathering on a friday afternoon. It was quite quiet but started to fill up later. A number of things went wrong during the meal. Service was slow. We were never asked if everything was okay. Wrong orders arrived, some of the meals were cold. Starters appeared after the main course. People who had pie said it looked and tasted awful. Plates were not cleared, one diner was left eating a dessert with a pile of rib bones in front of him! We eventually moved used plates to a free table ourselves as we were running out of space.The whole meal took forever as there only seemed to be one member of staff doing everything at a leisurely pace for the whole dining area.I wouldn't go back in a hurry.

Went in here at the last minute for our tea we both had burgers which was ok no salad on the side, the menu said chips when our meal came they had curly fries which we hadn't ordered , the waitress never mentioned anything so I looked at what other meals were coming out of the kitchen they all had curly fries on. Went for lunch with a friend and there is nothing we could fault. We both had starters, main courses and a cheeky side of onion rings all was delicious. We was asked a couple times if our meals were okay the service is spot on. There was only 2 staff on that I could see but they were happy and obliging. We will be returning very soon. So we get to king henry, and it’s so quiet, bare in mind it’s 1:30pm on a Sunday, unusual as it’s usually quite busy, 2 young girls working, one sat on the floor cleaning the bar and the other trying to work the till out. Our meals came, the old faithful burger we ordered was clearly microwaved but nice, however I had a Shepard’s pie, which looked extremely poor, as I went to eat it, it was stone cold, but my plate was hot and the top of the pie was, clearly microwaved, another family member ordered the Sunday dinner half chicken, and it came cold, but parts of it was burnt eg the stuffing was black but the veg and the mash was FREEZING, so we take our meals back, they replied with they are cooking you both a brand new fresh one it’ll take 30 seconds-“fresh”. Anyway, i again try my sheppards pie- boiling but absolutely no mince or meat in it-Joke! Just a bowl of mash with about 15 peas on the side and the tiniest pot of gravy you have seen, so I take my meal back and they say, this is how the come, to my knowledge Shepard’s pie is mince meat with mash on the top? Absolutely terrible and I shall not be returning.

We have a new menu said the email, come and try it.We did try it but were greatly disappointed. My meal, pie and veg was acceptable but my wife's was anything but that. The gammon steak was hard to cut and very tough to chew, also, the jacket potatoe was not properly cooked and again was too tough to eat. The latte coffees were almost cold. All in all not good.We left leaving 1 meal less than half eaten and 2 drinks only half consumed.

I have been here on numerous occasions, and my experience has never been great to say the least on one occasion a while ago we ordered starters and mains our mains came out first so when we asked about our starters they arrived 5 minutes after so we had 3 starters and 2 mains together at the same time the starters were obviously rushed and were inedible, on a separate occasion I ordered chicken fijita and when it came it was steak which I don’t eat when we told the staff the took it away and brought me chicken back I could see they had just scraped the steak off and replaced it with over cooked chicken. We stopped going but last night thought we’d give it another try I ordered chicken Katsu on a sizzling skillet, this should arrive on a hot skillet with cooked sizzling onions and peppers accompanied by rice and a giant prawn cracker, unfortunately my skillet wasn’t sizzling the onions and peppers were raw and it came with a side of chips instead of rice but no explanation as to why there was no rice, so my order was incorrect and disappointing sorry to say we will not be going back.

Ordered a loaded Garlic bread, which is advertised with a picture of garlic bread loaded with pulled pork and other lovely looking food. Got 2 and a half soggy pieces of standard garlic bread with a teaspoon of pulled pork on each! Loaded! Cant be arsed more like! Cheers for rinsing my wallet for the worst food I have ever had Chef! Dont waste your money! McDonalds are more proud of their car park than this so called chef (food microwaver) is proud of his food!

Only 2 staff on during our visit and the pub was very busy. The 2 staff worked so hard to ensure our visit went well. We were advised of a long wait when ordering desserts so decided not to bother, however 1 of the staff came over a few mins later to say he had 5 mins free and was happy to prepare our desserts if we wanted to place the order, excellent service!

Called in for a quick bite to eat and ended up stay to do the quiz we really enjoyed our steaks they was cooked perfectly the entertainment was so funny we highly recommend this pub and will be returning soon

Waited 45 mins after ordering to get something to eat. Yes it was hot butmixed grill steak was like leather with thick grisel running through it.

Only in for a drink, good atmosphere unlike other places in Rotherham, decent range of beers, did not eat but the odd diner tucking in, nice décor, clean and well maintained.

Was in here today with my 2 children and unfortunately there were 2 very unruly customers present. Nic handled the situation impeccably and was so apologetic to all customers. He asked them to leave and they tried to return and he once again had total control of the situation and told them to leave. Great place and great staff, will continue to return to this friendly place.

Ordered a Mojito, came with no mint, went to the bar to ask for some, they have no mint...well don’t serve Mojitos then. Is a mojito a mojito without mint?? Next drink...raspberry gin, served with two pieces of lime, asked about raspberries, they don’t have any...I give up!

Although the food was okay, not anything to rave about but okay the biggest let down was the toilets! I was taking my 11 month old son to be changed and the staff woman said ‘oh he’s taken key for disabled and that’s where baby changing is’ so I said okay I’ll wait (thinking he would be 5/10 mins) when asked how long he would be she said she was unsure but I could change baby in the ladies toilet. ‘Is there any changing table in there?’ Nope! To my horror she expected me to change my baby on the bathroom floor! No thanks! this resulted in me doing in on the carpet where we had eaten on his blanket (no other guests around) rediculous, imagine if some one disabled needed to use that toilet!

After a busy shift at work followed by hairdressers decided to eat out tonight. We were advised there was a 40 minute wait for food not a problem. Meal came after an hour double gammon and chicken and Stilton, both very nice though the onion rings were very over cooked and the mashed potatoes under the chicken was tepid but other than that all lovely. I have to give a special mention to Nic who is always polite chatty and goes above and beyond to help advise or just have a genuine conversation with you he’s a gem .we would recommend you to visit very reasonable price and local for us.

I don’t know whether it’s the usual sizzling pub thing, but they make you feel really welcome here. One certain staff member helped me with selecting the best cook for the different cuts of beef.

Not local but called on way home from work for a pint in October. Perhaps because I just wanted a pint after a hard day I didn’t pick up on the fact that you need to register your car number in the pub to park at the rear. Today I received a parking enforcement notice & a fine. Being slightly confused & thinking that I had parked in the wrong car park I phoned the pub & spoke to a very helpful & pleasant man (whose name I unfortunately forgot to get). He couldn’t have been more helpful & sorted it out for me. Many thanks, much appreciated.

Daughter took me three for a birthday treat. I ordered a rare steak that ended up being a well done piece of fat. My daughter also found a long black hair under her steak. Staff didn't Seem that bothered by the complaint.

Beware if its the first time you have visited this pub by car. Parked in the car park at the rear, I noticed the signs but just thought you had 2 hours free parking. I didn't notice any sign telling you that you had to log your cars registration on a machine next to the bar and no staff in the pub mentioned it either. A week later I was hit with a £50 parking ticket.

We ordered 7 meals all came within 45mins. However the quality wasn’t good at all 3 x surf and turf requested medium all well done. Everything covered in onions I know this is to stop the meat from burning however this would be better served on a plate as everything tasted burnt. Toad in the hole for a child well a sausage sat in a pudding not cooked in it clearly not toad in the hole is it. Hunters chicken, dry chips dry. Burger, dry and seemed like it had been sat on the side waiting for ages. Curry was ok as far as a curry goes. We live locally and have used this pub many times and always been happy this wasn’t a cheap weekly meal out so very disappointed.

Ordered a burger, and it tasted like it was from a burger van. The quality of the meat was so poor. Every bite had chunks of gristle and at one point something hard and looked like a piece of bone. I’ve been to sizzling pubs before and never eaten anything like that before. I wasn’t able to finish it. Mentioned this to staff and they turned round and said we can’t offer you a refund because when someone came and asked if everyone’s meals were ok you all said yes. I’d not even tried the burger at this point! I was offered a desert, even that was terrible. The brownie had been warmed up so much that I couldn’t even bite it. Would probably avoid here :)

Called in for a meal for mums birthday but was very disappointed.Firstly may I say to the management please make sure your chefs are wearing clean kitchen whites .....was absolutely horrified when two of the chefs were walking round the pub in the filthiest clothes I had ever seen kitchen staff wearing. If I had spotted them before I had eaten I would not have ordered anything ....very off putting.

Hubby ordered sweet and sour chicken which consisted of more onions than chicken , I had the Tennessee steak which again had a plate full of onions and more gristle than steak , asked for it cooked medium/rare , if it had been cooked any longer it would have been cremated , so very well done , I think I may stick to salad next time . On the plus side , the pub has a good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly .

Me and my wife took the 2 kids yesterday. Little boy is 1 big girl is 6. The kids meals were great. As was my fillet burger i love kfcs burgers. Id say this was a lot nicer. Which is not easily said but its true. My wife had steak and chicken come. My best mans other half works here and has mentioned before they overcook sometimes so instead of well done i asked for medium well. All comes mine and the kids great.. my wife cuts into the steak for a gush of blood to spurt out. Blood everywhere on the steak. Was bright pink. So she took it back to have it done properly... once again blood all over it. So the manager took it away. Left her with everything else. Replated it all fresh and the steak was well done. Fresh peppercorn sauce was served as well for her. Which was then really enjoyed. Also ordered my daughter some desert which he made complimentary for the inconvenience. All in a great service was provided and in the end we all enjoyed our meals. Even our son who likes to throw his food. Thankyou

Good service, atmosphere and food at very reasonable prices. Go quite regularly with my children and will continue to do so.

4th visit in 2 weeks so must be good, sun was shining so sat outside with a gin and tonic which are on offer Monday-Thursday 2 for £6.50 served with ice strawberries in the perfect glass with a straw which went down a treat. I had the gammontastic which was a 14oz gammon 2 eggs pineapple chips mushroom onion rings chips and peas, delicious. Granddaughter had chicken and ribs on a sizzler al the trimmings and my wife had Italian chicken which was her second choice as they had unfortunately run out of chicken tikka . All meals very reasonably priced and staff very attentive despite it being very busy. Nice welcome atmosphere. Remember to input your car registration on the pad on the bar or you will get a parking ticket I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely return.

My husband and I visit King Henry regularly, usually as a couple and sometimes as a family. We always receive good service and good food, never had any issues at all. There is plenty of choice on the menu for adults and children. Number 88.

Came in with some family amd we all ordered at different times but still had our meals served together and nothing was too much for the staff, very attentive I personally had the tuna jacket as they offer light bite dishes if your only peckish was lovley great value for money and had someone come and check if everything was okay. turned into a regular place to visit now.
