Never usually have fish and chips unless I'm at the coast, they are very often a disappointment. The King Fryer is an exception!!! The fish and chips are delicious, the batter is crisp and not too thick. The fish, firm and white. They also make fish patties which are gorgeous. The owner and staff are lovely and the shop is immaculately clean.

Great fish and chips at very reasonable prices. The owner and his staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our first choice for fish and chips in Goole.

I've too often found fish and chip shops a disappointment, but not so here.£4.50 for small fish with chips and curry sauce it was more than enough food for a lunchtime meal and each element was tasty. Struggling to instantly think of better fish and chips I've had recently. Its a takeaway so no tables inside, theres a couple of chairs to perch on if you want to put the tray on the window sill etc.

There are a few chippys near where we live, and this one has proved to be the best. The fish is cooked just nice, and has always been fresh when we've visited. The chips are cooked very well, and aren't dry or taste of veg oil like some do.I can recommend The King Fryer to anyone looking for a decent bag of fish'n'chips. My partner is Gluten Free, and has never had a problem with the chips (she prefers curry and chips).

Came in for a quick snack, ordered a small haddock and chips which were perfect for the price, decent sized portion and very yummy. Had some mushy peas with it which were very green but tasted very good.

Stopped by to pick up two cod and chips. entry and exit was via different doorsChips were well cooked and tasty with a strong vinegar, The Fish was good and white with a good crisp thin batter and plenty of scraps. The girls behind the counter were very polite and knew there jobrecommended and the location right by the harbour, would make it an excellent place to sit and eat your meal if you wished

Minster Fish Bar is situated in the town, on a street with limited parking, but just around the corner—less than 100 metres away—is a large pay and display car park, so no problem there. The shop was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the staff were very happy, smiling and polite, helping customers feel welcome, as we did. The large haddock was something very special. Fresh, thick, and cooked to perfection in a light, crispy batter. The mushy peas, although a little liquid, were sweet and delicious. The curry sauce was also a treat—thick, with a nice kick, but not overly spicy. The battered sausage was one of the best I'd had: a nice thin beef dripping batter on a quality, meaty sausage. The potato pattie was delicious, containing nice little potato chunks, and the herbs added a subtle flavour. The cheese on the cheesy chips was lightly matured and not overly salty, and there was plenty of it, and the plump chips. A good serving of beef dripping-cooked scraps finished the meal off perfectly.
