The Kilted Donut in Edinburgh, City of

Ever since i first saw kilted donut on my tiktok foryou page ive wanted to come here. And when i finally did my first trip to Edinburgh last week i took the chance. I tried their boston creme donut and was pleasantly surprised. The donut was amazing, although it was more on the expensive side. But that is 100% justified because i believe all of their donuts are handmade. Will definitely return in the future!!!

A friend recommended this donut place so I had to prove that I took their recommendation seriously. I got the white chocolate raspberry donut and it was massive (like 1.5x thicker than the krispy kreme donuts ykwim). I promptly walked off the calories by heading towards the castle.

The best donut I’ve ever had!! We went twice and between us tried maple pecan (my number one) Nutella, cinnamon sugar, cinnamon bun and tiramisu which everyone raved about. Coffee was also really good and you can sit across the street on a bench with lovely castle views.

We went to Kilted Donut in the Grassmarket. An amazing selection of donuts, we went back three times on our holiday and tried different ones each time, and none of them disappointed (the Cinnamon Swirl and the Lemon Drop were particular favourites!). Great tea and coffee and some lovely artwork/bags available to buy. The lady who served us each time was brilliant, very friendly and described each donut perfectly. The closest the UK has got to a Voodoo Doughnuts. An amazing view of Edinburgh Castle whilst you sip your coffee and eat your donut too! We will be back! We would most definitely recommend to anyone! ❤️

Donuts were delicious and full of filling, coffee was tbh best I had in Edinburgh, not bitter. The girl who's serving was very friendly and helpful.

Stopped here as they offer vegan doughnuts and I was after a lactose free option. They are on the more expensive side however as this was a birthday treat I was ok with the cost. The doughnuts were great and I’d definitely visit again. Would recommend the cinnamon sugar doughnut.

Got a rhubard & custard doughnut and a chocolate sprinkles doughnut from the Stockbridge shop. Both tasty and the service was very friendly! Quite good value for money as the doughnuts were massive and cheaper than similar shops elsewhere.

As soon as we entered the Kilted Donut in Grassmarket we were greeted by a super friendly man who made the experience for us! He went through every option and explained the flavours, which was very helpful since we were overwhelmed with choice as they all looked so delicious. Thank you for being so kind! On to the doughnuts themselves, we tried the Jaffa Cake, The Unicorn and the S’mores. They were all very yummy, but our favourite has to be The Unicorn! Overall, would definitely recommend and thanks again to the man who served us

After a Facebook check to see if open got a response to say Leith shop closed and that the one in Edinburgh was open. Friendly staff and nice shop /cafe . Good selection of donuts with alternative fillings and toppings which stand out from the normal crowd .Well worth the visit.

Very nice donuts and tea (by eteaket). Highly recommend to come and have a bite. Nice deal during weekday, donut and coffee for a fiver. Staff is exceptionally friendly and service was very good. The cafe was nicely decorated and a relaxing place to rest and relax. Some tables even come with wireless charger! Would have more donuts if I knew of this place sooner.

Cute little donut cafe in the wonderful area of Stockbridge. Excellent, friendly service and delicious coffee. We had the vanilla and lemon donuts. There was an excellent gluten free choice on offer and this was an ideal place to stop after visiting the botanical gardens.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while now but it’s a little out the way for us. Thankfully we were heading to Stockbridge so it was our perfect opportunity. The shop is a lot smaller than expected but it made me like it even more. There aren’t a massive selection of donuts which I expected but that made it easier for us to decide so that’s a positive. We quickly decided we wanted the Eton mess pretzel donut (maybe because it was the biggest) and it was delicious! The texture was spot on and tasted amazing!! I also got a nice cuppa (can’t remember the name of it) which was lovely. The girl that served us was very nice and welcoming. The shop is cosy and well hidden. It was maybe on the expensive side but well worth it.

This was a fantastic little find. Came across the shop on a walk and the doughnut was lovely. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Recommend the biscoff doughnut.

A great little cafe we found on the Water of Leith walkway. Very friendly with great coffee and doughnuts. Go to the Golden Hare bookshop a few doors down for a perfect morning!

Everyone needs to try these doughnuts. They are just out of this world. If I could, I would have them everyday. I would be overweight, but very happy!!

These are proper donuts, made in front of your eyes. Also smaller donuts - called ‘kiltlies’. The coffee is good too.

The kilted donut!! I can't believe I didn't know about this place before I got to Edinburgh. It is worth going all the way to Edinburgh just to have the pleasure of visiting their friendly little store.

Very tasty and super filling Scottish donught shop. We bought half a dozen but there is no chance 2 will eat them all, they are huge and quite heavy but yum!
