This place got fined, and prosecuted for serious offences, Now it's even better I went back and got a burger and chips it was hot tasty and fresh well done for the health and safety standards improvements

The small kebab restaurant is very famous in the area. Lots of customers waiting. The food is very tasty and 😋. The owner is very nice. He gave us lots of sauses and salad. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant was very full when we were there. Better to order on phone and than pick up the order

Oily soggy food. 2 hours to deliver. Won’t be coming to these “people” again. No form of compensation for the cold oily food. Their tripadvisor headline says that this is a different kind of takeaway as appears to the oily food you get elsewhere. Hypocrites!

Are there any food standards? I'm not sure. I 'd love to be able to respond to the question "Do they wash their hands?" with "No sh*t", unfortunately, this would not be true.

We always come to Khyber Pass to eat out whenever we come to Nottingham to do our halal/grocery shopping. Food is fresh and very tasty! You can eat in or takeaway. Would highly recommend!

The only place in town who does grilled masala fish. A really healthy and tasty alternative to the deep fried full of oil masala fish you find at other takeaways. The fish is also of good quality, flaky and genourous portion. Good value for money and a quick freindly service as always.

We have visited the Khyber Pass a couple of times and been impressed on both occasions. The food is interesting and packed with flavour, and it’s really very cheap as well. I would go back and would recommend it.

We were so looking forward to a nice meal in this establishment, having had Afghan/ north west Pakistani food before. Menu had a good variety including Vegetarian. We ordered a spinach bolani (stuffed fried naan) which was really bland as was all the other dishes ordered. Thankfully we had a green coriander chutney that made the dishes palatable. The Lamb dish that wasn't lamb at all rather it was Mutton. Sea bass and mixed vegetables which was mostly curried chickpeas with 2 small pieces of carrots and a sprig of broccoli again bland!!! The chutney and naan were the tastiest things we had. The service was atrocious, we waited 10 - 15 minutes for our order to be taken. We asked how long it would take for the food to arrive which was true to time however when we had eaten we had to get the staff attention for over 10 minutes, each time being told, coming in 1 minute. They were so slow and this was the end of the meal we just wanted to pay and leave. So 10 minutes later we paid, please note they only accept cash!!!

I decided to treat myself and i had heard bad reviews from people about the previous owner so was a bit nervous but i shouldnt have been as the chicken was cooked to perfection and the nan was fluffy and nice..will return once again

Excellent food and very nice people. Thursdays special 'Jor' is my favourite. Masala fish is very nice. Salads are always fresh and the yoghurt sauce (spicy one with mint) is highly recommended.

enjoyed a very tasty lamb curry here, friendly staff, recommend to anyone looking for a curry and they also serve other takeaway food, will definitely be back

we four friends decided to go to khyber pass and try their grill food and haleem curry and dhall believe me the place is very clean and the food is very tasty and the staff very very helpfull so we decided to recomend ti everybody to give them try you will be very happy to enjoy very good food and the prices are very good too

This place should add stomach bug, vomiting, food poisoning and sickness to their menu...as you most certainly will suffer if you eat here! Don't do it....no matter how desperate for take-out...

This establishment is now known as Greg's Grill. Greasy food, high prices, poor quality. Awful area for parking. Avoid if you can. There are plenty of other similar places in the local vicinity, so I would recommend you do go to one of those.

The proprietors of this establishment have just recieved a 4 month suspended prison sentance and been fined £28,000 with £25,000 costs for causing serious food poisoning for 140 people in Nottingham.The place should be closed down. Feel free to search the local and regional press for further details.DO NOT PURCHASE FOOD FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

this kebab shop should be closed for good ....... really bad hygiene ....... and an under tone of racism ...... made a lot of loyal customers ill and take there bussiness elsewhere ..... god willing this will be the end of such a poor take away

I had gone looking for a restaurant, and I came along this store. Many stores were closed so therfore i thought of going to this store, I wasn't 100% confident that this was going to be a good restaurant, but boy was i wrong. The service there was amazing, seating was alright comfortable than some of the other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is cleaned nonstop to make the presentation of the area better.The food had finally come and I wanted a take away, so the man on duty packed it. The food smeeled lovely, my mouth was already starting to water. I wanted to have it all for myself but i had to share it with my family. The rush was immence in the store but I was shocked at the time it took them to prepare the food.I had ordered :-2 lamd donner kebabs-1 chicken donner-2 extra naans-3 lamb burgers - 2 large chips-6 cans of pepsi -And got a salad for freeI had gotten home to eat the food and it was warm and lovely

I was very ill after eating a takeaway curry from here in May. Apparently I wasn't the only one. The restaurant was reported and fined for breaches to environmental health guidelines according to the local Evening Post newspaper. It has put me off eating Indian takeaways ever since. Not good, shocking.

Glad someone has started reviews for this little take away/restaurant joint on the corner of Gregory Boulevard/Radford Road in Hyson Green. Hyson Green is a very busy and multiethnic area of the city with plenty of shops with Asian, Caribbean, Polish, Kurds, Afghani and Arabian variety. Now this take-away joint has been opened since 2001 and still going strong. This is a very busy take-away and the service is brilliant. The bald fella's name is Amjad and he really lights up this place with his fun attitude and enthusiasm. The food is simply fantastic....roast chickens, chicken + lamb doners, chicken + lamb seekhs, chicken and lamb grill tikkas all 10/10....they have a few curries (meat, dhaal, veg) which are good. Snacks include samosas, pakoras, chaat, chappal kebabs which are superb. Even their fries tastes good probably better than McDonalds and Burger King - and their chutneys are out of this world. They make delicious lassis (sweet, mango and salt) and fabulous Pakistani-style tea. Desi Express is VERY close to this place and I've written a review about it on this site but in my opinion Khyber Pass is definitely the place to get the best kebabs in that particular area of Nottingham - the only place that could match them is BBQ Express in Sneinton area of Nottingham. It opens 7 days a week from midday until 10.00pm. I'm a big time regular customer at this place and been here more times than any other take away/restaurants in the whole of the UK...and I'm sure many Asian people who ate here will agree how good this fantastic Pakistani-style joint is. Also, they take orders on the phone but you have to collect it. Nevertheless, I would HIGHLY recommend this place no matter what and it is CHEAP!! Great value for money!!

Shocked this is the first review? Or are you keeping it secret?We had been to the Caribbean carnival on the Forest all day & had already eaten jerk chicken, rice, peas & dumplings. Smoked/cooked in converted oil drum al fresco style. Anyway, if you have ever driven along Gregory Boulevard on Hyson Green, night or day you will have noticed the Khyber pass on the corner opposite the big Asian supermarket; its always well packed out, it's solid.We'd had a lot of vodka & were somewhat inebriated via the Red Bull stage & walked home. There’s a waft of doner meat in the air as you approach the cafe/takeaway & there’s a table for two in the window.Ordered & paid for one Chicken Tikka Donor Kebab mix for two to share about a fiver I think? Told he'll bring it over.The place is packed loads of people coming in & out collecting phone orders & ordering the place is buzzing, 20 odd minutes later me kebab turns up. It was like a large massive flower, a work of art, lamb donor & Tikka chicken sitting on a bed of salad on the best naan bread I have ever tasted - smothered in a garlic mayo & chilli sauce dressing. The shop also sells whole spit roast cooked chickens, curries,dhalls,various rices,masala fish,all sorts of naans,samosas & burgers. Its down my shirt, on me lap, stuck to me chin and on me shoes. Yeah we'd had had a few - the odd hour we had sat in there.We were the only white British customers and we were made more than welcome. Will I go again I've only been once life's too short to miss out? Can’t wait.
