Great food. Food that makes you feel special. You are treated to a taste extravaganza all food that you wouldn't make at home. Presentation made it so much more special. Excellent wines to cover most pallets. Well worth a visit.

Turned up with my family to have a meal, the sign stated open 6 to 9 pm for meals. Spoke to the manager who looked at us, we were not wearing posh clothes but we were not scruffy and then said the kitchen is closed, so we went elsewhere, on the way back walking past there were people eating, so he had decided not to serve us and gave an excuse to stop up using the restaurant.

How lucky for us that we arrived at the reopening for 2016 of this great little restaurant. The food is simply delicious something to suit all tastes. A good variety to choose from and all fresh. I suppose it helps that the chef is experienced. The Keswick Restaurant is a happy place to eat with good music and happy staff. The young servers deserve praise for a job well done. As does Margaret who co-ordinates the smooth running and remains unruffled and light-hearted throughout. My favourite on the menu was the fresh Cromer crab, dressed so well that it seemed a shame to eat it! Hubby liked the steak cooked just the way he likes it. The chicken satay went down well as did the homemade burgers. We were offered quite a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. A really lovely touch was allowing us to sit in a side room with our dog. We shall definitely return.

I have to shout our loud about the amazing food in the new menu at the KESWICK. I am lucky enough to get to stay there regularly, so got invited to a sneaky pre-taster evening to celebrate the new menu. As always Russell amazed me with his dishes, all so tasty. Margaret is the best host I have had in any accommodation, so once again we had a fantastic evening, followed by a great nights sleep a walk on the beach, and the best breakfast ever. Thanks to all the staff at the keswick for always making me so welcome.

A lovely and friendly atmosphere with a great choice of menu. All local produce which was beautifully presented with care and flare! You could taste the quality and left you wanting more. Just wish I could have sampled a desert but after the most fab crab cake followed by sea bass with prawns, I was more than full! If you are ever in the area you must visit and it will be worth your while making a special journey to sample Russell's gormet delights. Great value for money

The food at this restaurant is first class it has one rosette at the moment but deserves more in my opinion. If you get the chance to eat here either as a hotel resident or someone visiting the area do . The al la carte menu is limited but what is on the menu is first class. My wife and I both had lamb cutlets as a main course and the quality of the food and how it was presented was as good as I have eaten at some of the best restaurants anywhere.

The food was terrific I never had a bad meal in over five years I stayed. Everything was fresh, fresh meat from local butchers, fresh fish from Lowestoft, fresh local vegetables. All the meals are cooked from fresh and because of this the menu is quite flexible, if you want chips instead of mash or salad instead of vegetables it is only a matter of asking for it. They are also flexible if you want something that isn't on the menu for example Toad in the Hole simply ask and if Russell has the ingredients he will do it. If you would like something more exotic again ask and Russell will do his best to get the ingredients and provide it the next evening. I must also say that I have never had a better steak than the Keswick, the steaks are 28 day aged rare breed meat from local butchers and the Keswick cook them exactly how you ask for. A medium rare steak in the Keswick you don't need a steak knife you can virtually cut it with the side of your fork. Again as I said in my hotel review if I am in the area for business or pleasure the Keswick is the first hotel and restaurant I will head for.

This is quite possibly the type of establishment you would drive past without considering it as a place to stop for a meal......we have eaten here twice now and the food is excellent. Although the choice is limited what is served is of a very high standard and you would struggle to eat food of this quality within this area of Norfolk. The chef is a perfectionist which becomes apparent as soon as you take your first mouthful of food. The welcome we received as a family was lovely too.Perhaps the owners need to advertise what they offer on a daily basis on chalk boards near to the roadside because it seems a crying shame that we were the only family dining there. Cost of our meal for 4 including drinks was approx £85 (two courses)

The food at the Keswick is truly excellent. The menu isn't over complicated - there are around 4 starters and 7 mains (plus daily changing specials) to choose from. For me, thats plenty of choice and it means that the kitchen can concentrate on perfecting the dishes on offer. The quality is excellent, as is the presentation. Everything is well seasoned and balanced and there is a concerted effort to use local produce. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately our Sunday evening meal was a disappointment because the atmosphere did not match the quality of the food, which was excellent.I understand the lunch time Carvery had been a sell out! and the Football final was being shown on the TV which we could hear from the restaurant.we were the only only ones dining at 8pm, Sunday nightThe hostess is a whirlwind, she is so busy being everything to everyone and friendly. We did not see her partner as he appears to be solidly in the kitchens as he is the Chef- and a good one at that.Hubby had a duck starter followed by beautifully cooked lamb and culcannon and Sticky toffee pud.I had Cod loin and brown shrimp ( heaven).I would recommend the food but would be better in a group as you can make your own atmosphere, if going on a non busy night

My husband and myself travelled to Bacton to stay with our special friend, who's birthday was on Sunday the 15th April.Having heard very favourable reports of the food at the Keswick, we went for the Sunday Carvery for the birthday meal. Not only were we made to feel very welcome, but the table had been tastefully decorated for our friends birthday, which made her feel very happy. The food was absolutely delicious, wish I knew how to get my yorkshires to rise to those great heights.Even though we were the last sitting there was more than ample ,particularly for the very hungry men in our party. We shall definitely be returning to the Keswick again, and will probably also stay overnight too.

We had 2 really enjoyable evening meals. A friendly and informal approach with attentive staff; it may not look very special or 'upmarket' from the outside perhaps - but don't be deceived - this really is a first class restaurant. It isn't pretentious or 'fussy' in any way; you are made to feel welcome and comfortable - and everything we ordered was of a very high quality. We were very surprised - and impressed - when we were seated the first night to find that they had gone to the trouble of marking my wife's 60th Birthday (I had mentioned it when booking several weeks prior) - with balloons, a banner and sparkles etc. A really nice touch which helped to make the night very special.Do give it a try - you will be very pleasantly suprised.........

We visited this restaurant at the end of July after finding it on here and reading the spectacular reviews. We weren't sure what to find but walking into the restaurant/bar we were told to take a comfortable seat, enjoy the view over the fields and the menu and drinks were bought to us. The restaurant and bar are well decorated. Margret was very welcoming and after deciding what we wanted we asked if the food could be ready in half an hour as opposed to straight away so we had time to talk. They were, of course, very accommodating and the food was ready and bought out right on time.Whilst eating waitresses stayed out of the way and as soon as we were finished plates were taken discreetly yet instantly, something my partner judges a restaurant on...so well done! The food itself was amazing! We had a choice of a restaurant menu or Bar menu. We both had the Vine tomato soup with olive bruschetta which melted in the mouth. the main meal was by far the best fish and chips ive had, minty mushy peas were gorgeous and im not a mushy pea's girl! My partner had the thai green curry and was very impressed with the gentle yet strong spice. Our plates were not quite clear yet we were full, another way we judge a restaurant, if your plate is empty there is likeliness my partner would still be hungry! We would have had desert if we weren't so full. After the meal we went back into the cosy, well decorated bar and had a drink with the locals, all seeming very welcoming also.Thank you ever so much for a great evening!

Having just returned from a short 3 night break at the Keswick Moore's hotel , I feel compelled to write and recommend this restaurant for all to see. A cosy, comfortable little bar area where you can peruse the well balanced menu and enjoy a couple of pre dinner drinks before going through to the pleasantly furbished restaurant where tables are arranged to offer you your own dining space. The food is all freshly cooked and of a very high quality and standard. Starters around the £4 -£6 mark with mains averaging about £10. The battered cod was exceptional, a large portion of the freshest chunkiest fish imaginable fried in a delightfully crisp, light batter. A simple dish you may think, but when cooked to perfection absolutely delicious ! The breakfasts offered choice and again quality products. Scrambled egg to die for ! Add to this a highly attentive but unobtrusive service and you have the perfect evening's dining. If you live nearby and have not been do yourselves a favour - pick up the phone and book a tble. You will not be disappointed !

In these difficult times, its great to find a restaurant that has a straightforward menu - not too many items - all of which are genuinely freshley prepared and fairly priced. Moore's Restaurant does all that and more. Its a simple . Homely place which offers freshly prepared food at a great price. I had the Onion soup (which was fantastic) plus a vegetarian option of vegetables and duck egg - first class and staright from the oven. Clearly no frozen food here. For under £14 for two courses of this quality is far better than mass produced frozen fayre one so often finds. Well done
