The Kent Fish and Chip shop in Glasgow City

Had been working in and around Glasgow all day, and was in the need for something to eat, but more something on the go. As I was near by, decided upon the Kent Chip Shop. Nice little place with all the usual stuff, so ordered a sausage supper, which was freshly prepared in no time. Maybe a tad on the pricey side, but all in all, filled a hole and was very tasty.

Found this chippy by accident. Fish and chips were good. No special offers on display when I wosit around 3pm. Good value never the less.

Delighted to find a chip shop with a decent vegan selection. While I appreciate healthy vegan approach, it's also great to have a nice fry up from time to time! Bothers me a bit that vegan food is generally more expensive than meat options, but that is quite possibly due to supply and availability. We got a selection of most (all?) the vegan options and they were all excellent. Highly recommend. Wish I could get back more often.

Can't believe how great the banter is here, it's almost as good as the food! Visited with some friends who are vegan and they were happy with the amount of vegan options too. Definitely worth popping in if you're in the area.

Ordered fish and chips and gravy for supper, but it was pretty tasteless and there were bones in the fish. It was possibly too greasy and there was no lemon included. The only upside was that it was cheap and it arrived quick, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back in the future.

We stumbled upon this wee gem of a chippie after waiting for an hour in the IKEA queue, in the rain! We're vegan and struggle to eat from chip shops more than other places. This wee shop has an amazing, extensive vegan menu. We got tofish and chips, vegan sausage supper and mushy peas...and the price was very reasonable. Everything was amazing. Super fresh and so tasty! We'll definitely visit again!

Ordered from here quite a lot via just eat over the last few months. It's the only chippy that does vegan food that delivers in the area and the food was phenomenal, with my partner highly rates the real fish too. Was extremely disappointed to be told that they will no longer be delivering to our area. I realise that the Gorbals is a bit of a trek, but I'd happily pay a wee bit extra for the delivery. Really hope they reconsider.

Visit the Kent regularly. Patrick and his team are brilliant and have great crack with their customers. The food is great, big portions and there is lunchtime specials which are great value If your near Finnieston I would definitely recommend

Can't complain about the portion size at The Kent - always reliable to get a hefty size. Chips are fine but fish has excellent batter every time. Reasonably priced to feed a small family - always come back, when over in G3. Cheap as (fish) and chips!

Huge portions of fish. I went there pretty hungry and ordered the two fish supper. Didn't realize the portions of fish were as big as a T-bone steak. Chips were pretty good, but the fish was quite bland. I know that most of the taste comes from the batter, but that didn't have much taste either. It was filling, but not the best.

Popped in at lunch during week . Had Hamburger Supper. Not fresh , greasy and hard round edges. Most went in bin. Not expensive but obviously been sitting in heated shelf for a while.

Ordered cheesy chips and they came without any cheese on, ordered diet drink and they brought the standard version. Everything slightly soggy and cold by the time it arrived.

Tipico fish and chips Britanico, pescado fresco, buenas porciones, precio razonable, tardaron bastante en atendernos y no fueron muy amables al notar que hablabamos español.

Had the fish supper and it was really nice. No complaints atall. They delivered earlier than expected and didn’t have any issues finding my flat like most companies do!

Tuve un fish and chips de este chippy local antes del concierto. Banter del personal fue graciosísimo y el pescado y patatas fritas recomendados fueron honestamente el mejor que he tenido en años. También el pescado estaba 'garantizado sin hueso' por la freidora y lo era. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita.

I wrote a note to the restaurant saying just to put salt on both what I ordered because me and my flatmate cannot stand vinegar but when it arrived both had vinegar on them so we couldn’t eat it at all!! Very disappointed considering I then payed for something that I couldn’t eat!

Food was cold when it arrived. And it was late, despite me phoning them and being not far from them either.

Ordered from here 2/11/17 quite late. We did receive one portion of chips and when I rang I was told the driver had gone home after our order. The lady was kind enough to offer a refund, another portion of chips to collect in store or to collect the refund in store. My partner has tried to ring twice and I understand it must be busy (the food was lovely, proper comfort food) but we have received no refund at all which is the option that we chose.

I visited to get some fish, the portions were small, poor quality batter, and the price was fairly high for a fish and chip shop. However the service was very pleasant.

They rang me to tell me that they were out of what I ordered so I chose to change it to fish. Great decision. Their fish and chips supper was excellent and the gravy was even better. Also, the time of delivery was ridiculously fast so I'll deffinately go here again!!

Every single bit of food was bland and not nice at all, fish was soggy and full of bones. Order was also wrong.

What can I say? This was the best chippy I've EVER had delivered. Amazing quality, good prices and speedy delivery! Cannot fault this place. I always order a sausage supper and it's high quality every time! Will definitely be ordering many chippys from this place in the future.

Burnt & cold fish, frozen chips, not a good chippy. The chip oil looked as if it should have been changed a week or so ago.

Ordered fritters, portion of chips and bottle of juice. The food came at perfect time only to realise they put gravy on chips. Which I never asked for , I like gravy but this was horrible. Ate here before usually really good. Had to bin chips gravy wasn't nice at all.

The delivery drive was over an hour late, couldnt speak very good english, but the main reason is that he got lost and didnt deliver the meal, he phoned me 3 times where to go, couldnt follow a satnav and saying my street dosenst excist and then phones again saying he cant find me and going back to the shop. Luckily the girl in the shop said we do appoligise and will refund you on justeat still waiting for it to be refunded though. 😡😡👎👎

Overall the chips were tasty, but the roll had no butter. So it tasted a bit dry and my can of Irn bru was missing 😕 but overal good value for money 😉

Fresh and tasty food, everything you want from a local chippy. The banter if you need to wait is second to none, great laugh. Prices are very reasonable compared to other local chippys. Order something not ready and check for yourself.

Fish and de chips de quartier pas très loin de la salle de concert l hydro , leur poisson et leurs frites sont vraiment pas mal ,par contre je déconseille vivement la jumbo saucisse , dangereusement gras et peut être nucléaire .

When I got there the guy informed me that what I had ordered was actually on the lunch special so he threw in a free can of bru and buttered roll to make it up to me which was superb. Food was ready quick and was amazing. Brilliant customer service and chips, would recommend

This is 3rd time i have ordered and everytime there has been an issue, this time however i am a bit annoyed as the pakora was actually burnt and looked burnt so whoever packed it for delivery must have realised it was burnt to a crisp so instead of putting a fresh batch in for a few minutes they decided to send out the burnt pakora terrible shame as i've been happy with the food, first time pizza was not so nice next order curry sauce arrived cold then 3rd burnt pakora. surely making sure everything arrives cooked right and hot should be the main business plan but each time something not right i will not be ordering again sorry.

Love popping here at lunch time...not been in a while on a diet :). Fritters are the best ever. Lunchtime suppers are good value. Paddy is great fun. Always leave with a smile on our faces
