We came for the first time and although the Sunday dinner we had wasn't to our taste, I really enjoyed being here and I'd like to go again, not on a Sunday, to try something from their menu. The pub is lovely, the staff are amazing and I cannot fault what they offer or the service. We sat in the bar section next to the kids corner for our boys to play and I was so impressed with this area. The weather wasn't right to go outside but I did see a good sized beer garden with another great looking play area for the kids.

Visited today with a group of 23, mumix of adults and kids! The service was excellent, nothing was too much bother and each member of staff were more than happy to help, ordering was made so easy and everyone got their food quickly. The food itself was once again amazing, so to please 23 people is definitely an achievement! The beef was cooked to perfection and the gravy was delicious- and servings were plentiful! The pub itself us one of the most welcoming pubs I've visited, always ready to greet you with a smile and make you feel like an old friend!

Dined here a few times recently and the food is quite decent. Good value for money, everything fresh, the sizzling steak is nice, as are the mixed grills, staff are friendly and it’s a very relaxed family atmosphere, children welcome. Could do with a greater selection of beers, but this is not a put down just an observation. Would definitely recommend a visit if you haven’t been before.

Wow! Where else could you buy traditional meat and two veg main courses? Most places serve the same old generic rubbish heated up in the microwave. Not the Keel Row. I had delicious liver, bacon and onions, served with two vegetable choices and boiled potatoes. Superb! Proper cooking of traditional fayre.

Been here ~20 years ago and described it as a 'transport café'. Under new management for a while it still has an old-fashioned country pub atmosphere; large rooms, low ceilings, a 'conservatory' with lots of tables. The menu is large and there is a choice for most tastes. My wife had mince and dumplings which is her test of an eatery. It was cheap and it showed: the mince was more gravy than mince and the dumpling, although light and fluffy, had no crispiness about it, veg was adequate. I had the Sizzling Shanghai, which was twice the price and twice the quantity. It is probably enough for two people if you are to go on to deserts. We had no room for a deserts, so did not ask for a menu and was not offered one. A 14 mile round trip is too far to be disappointed, but we did give it a second chance.

Starting with the welcome, this was one of the highlights of our visit to the North East. Both the adults and children's menu are what you would expect from a pub menu. Very good service, friendly and timely. The food was very good, Steak Pie, Scampi, (large) Fish and chips. And the price must put a lot of people off. It is about £3-5 less than you now expect to pay. Deserts, Sticky Toffee Pudding etc at £4.50. Drinks follow suit and Worthington's at £3.8 / pint has to be the cheapest around. Well done Keel Row, a few locals that had told us of their reservations, have been put right. Do not expect 'fine dining' but it is definitely worth the visit. We will be back.

Get yourselves to the Keel Row in Seaton Delaval! Just 10 miles from Newcastle City Centre, the establishment offers a unique and inviting experience. They warmly welcome motorhome guests to stay overnight free of charge. Looking for a special evening out without the expense of a hotel? Take your motorhome to the Keel Row Public House. After a delightful evening, retire to your motorhome for a restful sleep and head home refreshed in the morning. I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Wow! I've drove past this pub at least once a week for the past 15 years and finally I decided to go for sunday dinner. We went without booking a table, but luckily you can sit in the pub area and order food, and a kind couple were finishing up so they gave us their table. We ordered 2 sunday dinners and a kids pizza and chips. They arrived in about 10 minutes, all home cooked country style food. Absolutely delicious, only slight issue was the chicken was slightly over cooked so was a bit dry. I still polished my plate though, we left agreeing that we would definitely come back. The prices were very reasonable, their was a fantastic play area for kids. It has a large playhouse, toys, books and more. The back has a play area and beer garden (we sadly didn't go to see that this time round) Overall: we were very happy and can't wait to return!

Came to the Keel Row tonight on a whim, looking for somewhere new to try and we were not disappointed! Despite coming in at half 7 on the dot (not realising food service finished at this time) staff were quick to inform us of this and ensured that we could still get food. We ordered and the food came within ten minutes, and it was some of the best food we have ever had. The gammon had so much flavour, and the chips were absolutely unreal. It also came with carrots! Weird flex I know, but it’s nice not just getting chips and peas aha! The scampi and chips we ordered also went down fast due to how good it was. Overall the atmosphere of the place is great, and the staff are all so friendly. Thanks so much to them for fitting us in! We will definitely be back again :D

Quick pop in today with family. Just gone 12pm on a Thursday and particularly busy. Found a nice table and ordered the food and drinks at the bar. Staff are great. I chose here because of the extensive menu so all 4 of us were catered for including the vegetarian among us and the good prices. A lot of the meals were under £10 which is handy these days. Was told by one of the family that the roast beef on the roast of the day was a bit tough but ok. Got to admit I was a bit disappointed with my “homemade corned beef pie” as it was simply a bit of puff pastry sliced in half with a dollop of hash inserted inside. Not the beautiful short crust pastry plate pie most pubs and cafe’s serve up. Overall, a decent enough visit for the quality and price but nothing that excites. Service was very good even though busy and the place is very dog friendly.

Small but quirky pub on a country lane in Seaton Deleval, but very dog friendly and very family friendly. The pub is of a Victorian era with the decor very appropriate for the era. We chose 2 Sunday dinners, a Carvery Bap and a Scampi, all were piping hot when they came out and well laid out. The Meat was hot, the gravy was meat gravy and there was the option was gluten free. The dog friendly was a big sell having our little pooch, we were able to sit in the bar amongst other dogs and despite him barking, there was no problem. The staff are extremely friendly, very welcoming and attentive to your needs, there is no push to finish and they check if all is okay with food.

Another 'meh' Costa location which cements their reputation as the poorest of the big coffee chains in the UK (Nero has better coffee, Starbucks better spaces, and Pret better food - and let's not forget Greggs which is giving them all a run for their money across the board). That said the staff here are lovely. Game for a bit of banter and a laugh and clearly the reason why your cohort of regulars keep coming back. I hope you look after them as well as they look after your customers. This location could be vastly improved by getting the basics right. Why is the WiFi broken? Why is it so dark? Why are there flyers strewn across every surface? And why is a flat white served in a soup bowl?

Poor. Not terrible but poor. Plus points were cleanliness and fast, polite service. I popped in after a third awful experience at 'Beaches and Cream' next door where after 10 minutes of being ignored completely by staff I left. Firstly, 'Sea You There' has no atmosphere. However, it was very clean and I was hungry. There is a sign asking you to queue and wait to be seated. No one seated me. Eventually, I asked if I could sit down and was told yes just to sit at one of the smaller tables. No one came to take my order. Staff avoided eye contact. It was unclear if I was expected to go to the till and order. Apparently I was - don't know how I would know that. The order, avocado smash and poached eggs on toast arrived quickly. It was much less good than I could have made at home. One normal sized piece of toast and one about 20% of the size of the normal one. Bread was cheap. Toasting it had reduced it to a brittle, dry thing that completely disintegrated into dry crumbs when you cut it . Avocado ok but thinly spread. Poached eggs small, very pale yellow tiny yolks and overdone with white stringy edges. £9.35 Diet coke £3.10 I was in a hurry and just ate it but it was expensive for the poor quality of the ingredients and the cooking and presentation.
