Afternoon tea a big disappointment! Looked nothing like on the pictures on there website menu and some sweet/cakes items different to what was said on the menu. 2 flavoured sandwiches which 1 I don't like ham or peas pudding. The scones came out warm but when they cooled down they were hard. Menu online, which was downloaded says it comes with fries or chunky chips. These weren't presented with the Afternoon tea so had yo ask for them. The lady said it doesn't come with chips, so I showed her the menu. She then brought some out within 2mins but were hard, crispy as if they had been cold and warmed up. Didn't even eat them as awful. Overall disappointed. Needs to have some sort of pie, quiche with it and definitely a variety of flavour sandwiches. Not just 2!

Last night at around 11:30 we were met with nothing but rudeness by the barman at this establishment. Our group went in looking forward to a quiet drink before we went home, from the moment we walked in the staff had an awful attitude and told us we had ten minutes to buy and finish our drinks as they were closing because they hadn’t had any customers for half an hour (despite the fact google states the establishment is open until 1am), in all fairness understandable that you would want to close due to this reason however that is not our problem and we did not deserve the rudeness and the tone given to us by the staff. Whilst waiting for our drink a member of our group politely asked if they could vape in the bar and was impolitely no, the group member then left the bar and went for a vape outside. Due to this we then got told he would not serve the remaining three members because of “our attitude”. Our group then went outside obviously shocked by the situation, the staff then proceeded to follow us outside in an aggressive manor trying to provoke a fight with each of us when all we wanted to do was finish the drinks we did get served and then go home. If i could give this place a 0 rating i absolutely would! I will definitely never return.

Would review this place a zero if possible. I recently visited How Do You Do and was met with rudeness from the barman right from the start. Despite the bar being listed as open until 1 AM online, we were told they were closing soon at 11:25 PM because there hadn’t been any customers. When one of our group politely asked if vaping was allowed inside, the barman responded in a very unprofessional manner. He served two of us but then refused to serve the remaining three. Things escalated when he followed us outside and aggressively confronted us, even though we were simply finishing our drinks and minding our own business. This behavior was completely unacceptable, and it felt like he was trying to provoke a fight. We were just trying to enjoy a night out and will never return to this establishment.

Extremely disappointed with meal and service. Burger was inedible, like rubber and black. It was rock hard like it had been overcooked in the microwave for too long. I get that it's busy but to bring other people to a table that hadn't been booked & take their order while we're still waiting to be acknowledged is a bit much. It's a good job the food there is delicious as we'd have left after sitting that long

My meal was faultless. However with my 76 year old Nanna she couldn't cut into the chicken telling me it's too tough , waitress offered a steak knife and she still struggled. So the waitress offered to recook the meal , which my Nanna replied could she have thinner pieces of chicken. The waitress said they are only one size so we got the meal back without the chicken completely ( my Nannas request ). Upon leaving I got charged 12.60 for a plate chips. Went for a friend's birthday which I booked online in Aug. Got there and staff had no idea we booked a table for a window view, luckily there was a table with a window. What's the point of having a book system if they don't look at it? There was a wedding on, seems to be a jumble sale of what they want to be, pub & cocktails & afternoon tea & weddings, it's all too much as the rooms aren't soundproof or separated very well, a member of the wedding was speaking so loudly near our table it pierced our convos and was awkward, and we were 6 to 1. Waitress was scarily unknowledge of food and drink items. I have had a mocha there before by a different staff member, I asked for one and she said "I thought that was a type of car" 🤨 it's a cafe bar, so act like a cafe and a bar? Seems to be acting like many other things as a front very well. That's 6 customers lost. Won't be returning after this.

The pork on my Sunday dinner was inedible, instead of crackling it was like tough leather. I hate complaining but I mentioned it to the lady serving us and she got the manager. The manager was rude, aggressive and insulting. He aggressively asked why I hadn't said anything earlier, and I explained that I am autistic and find stuff like this incredibly uncomfortable. He accused me of saying the food was fine when the server asked during the meal, but my husband said his was fine, I didn't say anything at all. Instead of being understanding he asked "well what do you want me to do about it?" ... As the manager he shouldn't need me to tell him what to do. At this point I was starting to panic and shut down, but said could he knock something off the meal, he then aggressively said to the server "just take £1.50 off it" then stormed off. The £1.50 wasn't taken off as a gesture of good will, it was taken off as an insult. I was there with friends and they all felt uncomfortable due to his confrontational attitude. From previous reviews I can see the manager treats his staff the same way he treats his customers, which probably explains why most of them seem unhappy. Safe to say we won't be returning.

Being honest, I was very disappointed with this place. Ordered the chicken board which was with no sauce, yet the menu states it comes with peppercorn sauce so it was very dry and bland. The pizza we ordered was more like bread with a topping than a pizza. We went and there was a wedding on at the venue, kids running all over the place, in the restaurant, screaming and shouting when people were trying to eat. Then to make my experience better, 3 different waiters came over after I paid the bill with a card reader. Only positives are the thick cut chips are sensational and the views from the restaurant are brilliant. Sorry but better places just down the hill on the fish quay for the same money.

Another 'meh' Costa location which cements their reputation as the poorest of the big coffee chains in the UK (Nero has better coffee, Starbucks better spaces, and Pret better food - and let's not forget Greggs which is giving them all a run for their money across the board). That said the staff here are lovely. Game for a bit of banter and a laugh and clearly the reason why your cohort of regulars keep coming back. I hope you look after them as well as they look after your customers. This location could be vastly improved by getting the basics right. Why is the WiFi broken? Why is it so dark? Why are there flyers strewn across every surface? And why is a flat white served in a soup bowl?

Poor. Not terrible but poor. Plus points were cleanliness and fast, polite service. I popped in after a third awful experience at 'Beaches and Cream' next door where after 10 minutes of being ignored completely by staff I left. Firstly, 'Sea You There' has no atmosphere. However, it was very clean and I was hungry. There is a sign asking you to queue and wait to be seated. No one seated me. Eventually, I asked if I could sit down and was told yes just to sit at one of the smaller tables. No one came to take my order. Staff avoided eye contact. It was unclear if I was expected to go to the till and order. Apparently I was - don't know how I would know that. The order, avocado smash and poached eggs on toast arrived quickly. It was much less good than I could have made at home. One normal sized piece of toast and one about 20% of the size of the normal one. Bread was cheap. Toasting it had reduced it to a brittle, dry thing that completely disintegrated into dry crumbs when you cut it . Avocado ok but thinly spread. Poached eggs small, very pale yellow tiny yolks and overdone with white stringy edges. £9.35 Diet coke £3.10 I was in a hurry and just ate it but it was expensive for the poor quality of the ingredients and the cooking and presentation.
