Always a great welcome by the staff, excellent selection of beer, and a great menu.

My volleyball club held a Christmas party in the upstairs area here and it was great. The space was great, the staff were very friendly and food was good. Would use again.

Food not rated because I've not eaten there. Match day venue that welcomes away fans. Good prices and selection of draught and bottle beers, lager, alcohol free beer/lager. Certainly popular on match days and close to local public transport hubs.

Went for food with my brother, tables were clean, service was great drinks and food arrived quick, and the sport on the tv was easy to watch aswell

Omg been before was OK but def gone downhill, Went in at about 7 Sun 24th only 13 tables occupied so lits of empty tables . Could not find one clean table they were cleared but sticky and dirty, Finally found a reasonably clean one but when taking the menu from table 20 both table menus and drinks menus were sticky and food stained I said to husband "if front of house like this goodness knows what back of house is like" we left abdomen went elsewhere. Come on Greenking get your act together staff were just standing around chatting behind bar not busy. Since Covid cleanliness has gone backwards lessons should of been learned.

Another bog standard chain pub serving a range of food and drink. A great location for meeting place at the end of the bus station. No parking unless you use the multi-story at the opposite end of the bus station at Haymarket. Fairly busy, we did not try the food and only had one drink as moving on!

I live in London and was flying back to Heathrow this particular day. I had taken the bus from where I was staying and it drops me off in Newcastle. Lucky for me the pub is right beside the bus depot :-) So it’s always nice to spend an hour or so having a drink, watching the football if it’s on before my flight back home. It’s a nice venue. Friendly staff and the time before I even enjoyed a meal there. It’s my place to go in Newcastle whenever I am up North on business.

Always come into the junction before a gig at city hall, 20% off with our ticket is a great deal, would rate it higher if I could, will always be back!

The katsu chicken curry is banging!

Bar staff friendly and cooperative spot on service

Only popped in to use the restroom. No one questioned me walking in and out, which is a huge plus. Good location being next to the bus station but it was completely dead on a Friday night. I only used the restrooms, which were acceptable in the circumstances. Therefore please take all stars given with a pinch of salt. Cannot comment on food or price of drinks as I just popped in to spend a penny.

We have been regular customers for many years. Beer great, food excellent. Even the music is good. The staff are friendly and look after their customers with a smile. Love the place.

Met friends for our regular catch up at the Junction. Had fish and chips. Always happy with the choice on the menu and quality of food. Very pleasant conversation with Josh who was friendly and always happy to have a conversation and to help.

The staff were fantastic and very welcoming, great atmosphere. We wanted a cocktail that we were not aware they no longer served. The staff were still able to make it for us. Definitely will be back. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ZOMBIE COCKTAIL.

Ok had a drink waiting for the bus

The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is fantastic. We ate from The Senior Menu, 2 courses for only £6.99. It was piping hot, very tasty and served quickly. The portions were good too, very satisfying. Totally recommend visiting this pub

I'm writing this on behalf of my Mam and Auntie, who frequented this pub once a week whilst on a weekly shopping trip to Newcastle during the day. They enjoyed the senior citizens lunchtime special each visit, with no problems, until..., last friday! They ordered the senior citizens, as usual, and had to ask for the starter after 25 minutes, because it was strange it wasn't served as quickly as usual, and didn't seem busy, they then waited for the main , which didn't turn up, they went and asked where it was, they said something like "it won't be long" , my Auntie had an appointment so they said they wanted their money back instead because they had to go, the wait time was a lot longer than they were accustomed to. The person at the bar then charged them full Price for the starter they had, £4.99, the whole senior citizens is only £6.99 in total. They should have had it for bleedin free in my opinion. There were people who had arrived before my Mam, and they had been served cold soup and were still waiting for the main. I suspect the chef rang in sick or something that day? But just say the food is not on today, don't try and bungle it. I don't think they will be returning in a hurry with that experience and will have to find somewhere new.

When we visited the Juncion, they were short staffed. We ordered food to eat whilst watching the football. The staff who were working were run off their feet however, they were great with the service. Can't fault them.

Hired the upstairs area for a society event. Staff were great and lovely atmosphere. Thanks again!

Nice and welcoming, reasonably priced food and drinks

I had a great experience at The Junction in Haymarket, Newcastle. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure I felt right at home. Their excellent service truly stood out, with everyone going above and beyond to ensure that every need was met promptly and with a smile. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for both casual visits and special occasions. If you're looking for a Michelin star restaurant, this isn't the place for you, but a good pint and reasonably priced food works every time.

My partner has allergies. This place handled it expertly. Will come again.

The staff are slow and not in a hurry to do anything the food is the bog standard frozen food from brakes I would think. The pint of Carling went flat straight away and the banister rails around the table near the windows are thick of dust they look like they haven't been dusted in years then you have the tramps from outside walking in trying to sell you anything they have stolen a lovely place to visit.

Ate there today. Meal was mediocre. Didn't realise till the end of the meal when using serviettes that they were used.. obviously been used to wipe away curry ( we didn't have curry) complained to one of the staff still waiting for feedback...

Good spot for cheap drinks, decent food and great, friendly staff. Busy on most evenings and lunchtimes, but staff very on it.

Was very disappointed with the selection of ale's, when we walked in it looked like there were several ales on asked for one of them then was told non are on. Shame as it was a nice place.

Called in from a pint with the family. The staff forgot one of the drinks and were a bit surly but I'm a friendly way. The clientele probably weren't in my usual demographic but it was friendly enough. Try it, it may be better.

Food was nice, but not the biggest meal's

Went to watch football final with my 16 year old son. Was there for 1800 hrs and served ok. At 1915 hrs was told I had to go by 2100 hrs as my son wasn't allowed in after then. Yes I understand that it wasn't the pubs fault or mine but I should of been told when I arrived.

Was pretty late when we popped in there so was very quiet, but staff seemed nice enough sold beer had seats, nothing to write home about but nothing to really complain about

My son and I were on T22 Saturday 29th lunchtime. The service was dreadful. When the food eventually came is was OK. But nothing special. The 3 ladies near us also on T22 had a worse time. Part of their order never arrived. Whoever the manager is they want sacking. Totally under staffed. Very poor all round really

Great pub for live sport, just watched the League Cup Final, screens everywhere, atmosphere was amazing and service was exceptional.. we will definitely be back

It's a handy pub if you are waiting for your bus to go home. I am always put off by this place because of the homeless people begging not far from the entrance, hence whythe 3 stars. Nice big pub inside, plenty of TV screens, and have got a pool table upstairs.

Serata tra birre e cibo per guardare la partita Italia-Albania. Il locale credo che si possa definire il massimo per gli appassionati sportivi: grandi spazi, atmosfera divertente, un numero infinito di schermi di tutte le dimensioni. Impossibile non riuscire a vedere uno schermo ovunque si sia seduti. Bel posto, divertente, bello e non caro.

Overall, disappointing, however the manager, John I believe his name is, was excellent at handling all of the issues.

Came to use the upstairs area for a leaving do, had great communication with the GM ,John who made sure he catered and had all the info for the event . We had a buffet which was a great mix of hot items which were all tasty, team were all massively friendly and couldn't do enough to help and make sure we had everything we needed. The upstairs area is a fantastic event space for private functions or parties. The pub had a fantastic atmosphere and all the drinks were reasonably priced. This is actually the 3rd event I've had at the junction and keep going back as they do events so well. Thanks so much again and I'm sure we will be seeing you soon . Ash

Regular meeting point for an afternoon in town

Called in today 28th May 2024, ordered food with my husband and son, when the food arrived mine and my sons meals were stone cold, by the time the guy took the food back to rectify this my husband was finished his food. The guy did get my son a refill of his pop. We have been here before and food was fine. But today even after he brought our food back it wasn't very nice, shame as we like to pop in for food when we are in town but I think in future we will give it a miss and eat elsewhere.

Lovely atmosphere. multiple sports channels on the Tv's which was a nice change to other places, staff took into account Daughters allergy when i highlighted it before ordering. Food and drinks were high quality and staff ensured a lovely time for myself, wife and daughter. Always smiling and friendly. Enough room for baby prams (always a big plus) and clean baby high chairs available too. All staff were patient and helpful as well as the manager.

Nice pub, want you to use the app to order but it wasn’t working… asked at the bar and he said it was turned off? HaHa it was never going to work. Ordered in person and it wasn’t horrible.

Popped in for lunch and a few drinks with some friends and it was fab! Food was lovely and such a big drink selection and the staff were amazing. I come in kind of often so none of this is a surprise to me.

Great food here! Unexpected for a greene king but very tasty small plates, we had the burger sliders, halloumi fried and chicken strips! The bartenders and GM were fab and very attentive :)

Standard chain pub, plenty of screens to watch sports, convenient location BUT what’s with the food portions? I mean, two onion rings, ten chips and a kids burger is not a pub-size adult portion. You’d also assume that if portions are gourmet size, the taste follows but my bun had a best before date of 2020 so there comes a cognitive dissonance.

Ignorant and impersonal bar staff that seemed to be too preoccupied to serve customers... bar was not bustle, no excuse, Greene King needs to get a grip .... avoid !

Great upstairs party venue who were fabulous to communicate with whilst orgnising, provided a mountain of delicious food and staff gave incredible service on the night. Definitely give them your booking - you won't be disappointed.

A great bar to visit as it's just around the corner from the Metro statio. Plenty of screens for watching sports

Nice bar & good atmosphere before match. Didn’t realise the beef dinner came pink as app does not mention it so didn’t enjoy the meat as not a fan of pink beef. Be nice to try the other food in menu.
