What an absolute disgrace. It's only saving feature is the friendly staff. The place is falling apart with chairs that are so stained the homeless wouldn't sleep in them and chunks of fabric and filling pulled out. The Guinness was nice but doubt I'll return as I had to wipe my feet on the way out. Greene King get it sorted.

Nice pub in the Haymarket area of Newcastle right beside the bus station that serves the northern end of Newcastle and its outskirts. Due to its position, trade seems to go in fits and starts.

Went to watch a game in the pub with a few friends. We ordered food. While we were watching the game they switched it to horse racing. So we asked if they could switch it back. They did not. So we had to move seats so we could watch said game. Then we waited for food. Over 45 minutes of a wait for food and when it came it was awful. Overall , nice pub, poor service, staff who didn’t care and awful food

Thriving pub in Newcastle city centre. Food was good and the drinks were not overpriced. Very clean surroundings with attentive bar staff.

My husband and I visited today and I'm so glad we were not disappointed. We ordered from the 2 for £15 menu he got the gammon and I got the chicken shawarma flatbread omg 10/10. The place is great and even the staff are a little tasty we will definitely make a return! Also... I'm nosey and I over heard the male waiter having to deal with 3 queen Karen's asking a million questions about vegan food he handled it like a boss haha

Solía ser un buen bar, en los últimos años se ha convertido en un refugio para adictos y mendigos. Durante el clima cálido tendrás que esquivar a la escoria local para entrar en el bar, lo único bueno es el entretenimiento, ver a un par de benéficos locales pelear por una botella de lambrini siempre es una risa. De día o de noche, no parece afectar a la multitud exterior.

If you're looking for a great place to watch the match, or just somewhere to chill after a bit of shopping, The Junction is ideal! Friendly staff and a decent location (right beside Northumberland Street and Haymarket bus station). Has TV screens up showing live racing, football etc and there is a decent selection of food and drinks.

Been going for lunch for a while, fantastic price, brilliant service, great food. 5/5, and great location, near the university, and metro station.

We made a reservation for valentines day, when we got to pub we were told they couldn't find us on tablet, but was on till. But manageress (I'm assuming), was more than welcoming and apologised and told us to just take a seat once I showed reservation confirmation on my phone. Food was delicious! 1st time eating in there will probably be back! :) Definitely recommend - I had the hunters chicken, my fiancé had the mixed grill. Atmosphere was great, lovely to hear people having a giggle and chatting. We were still able to have a conversation as well.

It's a handy pub if you are waiting for your bus to go home. I am always put off by this place because of the homeless people begging not far from the entrance, hence why the 3 stars. Nice big pub inside, plenty of TV screens, and have got a pool table upstairs.

I only had the soup of the day, but it was great. The landlord tries very hard. Everything fine.

Me and my two children went on a saturday evening i was told i had to wait 30 mins that was fine but when meals turned up they where served cold, i did tell a member of stay but all i got was we can make it again, we could not wait another 30 mins. no discount or anything was offered

Eclectic place full of surprises just popped in for a swift one and snaks, had the Nachos and they had coriander in them.. really nice . Super cheap but a bit cold but I had a coat on so all good. After three pints and two lots of snaks I had to move on ... so much for just one pint. 😜

Los negativos, otra vez con pubs rey verdes. Dejé los baños masculinos empapados de orina oscura con azulejos pegajosos rotos pegados a mis zapatos con adhesivo de fuerza industrial. Un mal comienzo. Sin tener en cuenta el problema del inodoro, que es común en muchos lugares de rey verde. El personal era genial. Reconocimiento específico para lo que parece ser un supervisor, un señor con audífonos. Estaba en un viaje de negocios y tenía artículos que no podía dejar desatendidos. Lo reconoció sin que yo dijera nada ni pidiera ayuda. Vino a mi mesa y me preguntó si quería una bebida nueva o comida adicional. También puso el partido del Chelsea en la televisión para mí. Tenía la intención de darle propina al funcionario antes de salir, pero ya había terminado su turno y se había ido. Como gerente de un club nocturno anterior en Cardiff, reconocí sus habilidades de observación y atención a las necesidades y seguridad del cliente. Limpió mesas proactivamente, apoyó a las chicas detrás de la barra y tocó la base con todos los clientes de una manera amable y cortés. Él merece crédito.

My volleyball club held a Christmas party in the upstairs area here and it was great. The space was great, the staff were very friendly and food was good. Would use again.

Fantastic time at the Junction. 12 friends met up for a Christmas dinner. Table was all dressed with lovely crackers too. The staff were perfect and brought each course out at appropriate timing. The food was awesome and tasted great. The price was so cheap for what I had. Definitely recommend xx

Omg been before was OK but def gone downhill, Went in at about 7 Sun 24th only 13 tables occupied so lits of empty tables . Could not find one clean table they were cleared but sticky and dirty, Finally found a reasonably clean one but when taking the menu from table 20 both table menus and drinks menus were sticky and food stained I said to husband "if front of house like this goodness knows what back of house is like" we left abdomen went elsewhere. Come on Greenking get your act together staff were just standing around chatting behind bar not busy. Since Covid cleanliness has gone backwards lessons should of been learned.

Another bog standard chain pub serving a range of food and drink. A great location for meeting place at the end of the bus station. No parking unless you use the multi-story at the opposite end of the bus station at Haymarket. Fairly busy, we did not try the food and only had one drink as moving on!

I live in London and was flying back to Heathrow this particular day. I had taken the bus from where I was staying and it drops me off in Newcastle. Lucky for me the pub is right beside the bus depot :-) So it’s always nice to spend an hour or so having a drink, watching the football if it’s on before my flight back home. It’s a nice venue. Friendly staff and the time before I even enjoyed a meal there. It’s my place to go in Newcastle whenever I am up North on business.

Always come into the junction before a gig at city hall, 20% off with our ticket is a great deal, would rate it higher if I could, will always be back!

Great meeting point Drinks ok but expensive Ladies and accessible toilets are well below average and need updated as well as regular cleaning . With signs asking to be respected but not maintained by the company

Bar staff friendly and cooperative spot on service

Only popped in to use the restroom. No one questioned me walking in and out, which is a huge plus. Good location being next to the bus station but it was completely dead on a Friday night. I only used the restrooms, which were acceptable in the circumstances. Therefore please take all stars given with a pinch of salt. Cannot comment on food or price of drinks as I just popped in to spend a penny.

We have been regular customers for many years. Beer great, food excellent. Even the music is good. The staff are friendly and look after their customers with a smile. Love the place.

Met friends for our regular catch up at the Junction. Had fish and chips. Always happy with the choice on the menu and quality of food. Very pleasant conversation with Josh who was friendly and always happy to have a conversation and to help.

The staff were fantastic and very welcoming, great atmosphere. We wanted a cocktail that we were not aware they no longer served. The staff were still able to make it for us. Definitely will be back. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ZOMBIE COCKTAIL.

Ok had a drink waiting for the bus

The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is fantastic. We ate from The Senior Menu, 2 courses for only £6.99. It was piping hot, very tasty and served quickly. The portions were good too, very satisfying. Totally recommend visiting this pub

I'm writing this on behalf of my Mam and Auntie, who frequented this pub once a week whilst on a weekly shopping trip to Newcastle during the day. They enjoyed the senior citizens lunchtime special each visit, with no problems, until..., last friday! They ordered the senior citizens, as usual, and had to ask for the starter after 25 minutes, because it was strange it wasn't served as quickly as usual, and didn't seem busy, they then waited for the main , which didn't turn up, they went and asked where it was, they said something like "it won't be long" , my Auntie had an appointment so they said they wanted their money back instead because they had to go, the wait time was a lot longer than they were accustomed to. The person at the bar then charged them full Price for the starter they had, £4.99, the whole senior citizens is only £6.99 in total. They should have had it for bleedin free in my opinion. There were people who had arrived before my Mam, and they had been served cold soup and were still waiting for the main. I suspect the chef rang in sick or something that day? But just say the food is not on today, don't try and bungle it. I don't think they will be returning in a hurry with that experience and will have to find somewhere new.

When we visited the Juncion, they were short staffed. We ordered food to eat whilst watching the football. The staff who were working were run off their feet however, they were great with the service. Can't fault them.

I had a great experience at The Junction in Haymarket, Newcastle. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure I felt right at home. Their excellent service truly stood out, with everyone going above and beyond to ensure that every need was met promptly and with a smile. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for both casual visits and special occasions. If you're looking for a Michelin star restaurant, this isn't the place for you, but a good pint and reasonably priced food works every time.

My partner has allergies. This place handled it expertly. Will come again.

The staff are slow and not in a hurry to do anything the food is the bog standard frozen food from brakes I would think. The pint of Carling went flat straight away and the banister rails around the table near the windows are thick of dust they look like they haven't been dusted in years then you have the tramps from outside walking in trying to sell you anything they have stolen a lovely place to visit.

Ate there today. Meal was mediocre. Didn't realise till the end of the meal when using serviettes that they were used.. obviously been used to wipe away curry ( we didn't have curry) complained to one of the staff still waiting for feedback...

Was very disappointed with the selection of ale's, when we walked in it looked like there were several ales on asked for one of them then was told non are on. Shame as it was a nice place.

Called in from a pint with the family. The staff forgot one of the drinks and were a bit surly but I'm a friendly way. The clientele probably weren't in my usual demographic but it was friendly enough. Try it, it may be better.
