Good spot for cheap drinks, decent food and great, friendly staff. Busy on most evenings and lunchtimes, but staff very on it.

Was very disappointed with the selection of ale's, when we walked in it looked like there were several ales on asked for one of them then was told non are on. Shame as it was a nice place.

Food was out of this world steak cooked to perfection and excellent customer service by Callum and grace they are a credit to this pub and their employers how can you improve on excellence

Called in from a pint with the family. The staff forgot one of the drinks and were a bit surly but I'm a friendly way. The clientele probably weren't in my usual demographic but it was friendly enough. Try it, it may be better.

Didn't order food, that's why low mark, fast service good choice of ales and beers.

Food was nice, but not the biggest meal's

Went to watch football final with my 16 year old son. Was there for 1800 hrs and served ok. At 1915 hrs was told I had to go by 2100 hrs as my son wasn't allowed in after then. Yes I understand that it wasn't the pubs fault or mine but I should of been told when I arrived.

Was pretty late when we popped in there so was very quiet, but staff seemed nice enough sold beer had seats, nothing to write home about but nothing to really complain about

Grimmey place staff are ok but the place needs a uplife stools had ripped seats some had no cusions mixed chairs look like from a bin food is dismol poor wont be going back.

My son and I were on T22 Saturday 29th lunchtime. The service was dreadful. When the food eventually came is was OK. But nothing special. The 3 ladies near us also on T22 had a worse time. Part of their order never arrived. Whoever the manager is they want sacking. Totally under staffed. Very poor all round really

Great pub for live sport, just watched the League Cup Final, screens everywhere, atmosphere was amazing and service was exceptional.. we will definitely be back

It's a handy pub if you are waiting for your bus to go home. I am always put off by this place because of the homeless people begging not far from the entrance, hence whythe 3 stars. Nice big pub inside, plenty of TV screens, and have got a pool table upstairs.

Serata tra birre e cibo per guardare la partita Italia-Albania. Il locale credo che si possa definire il massimo per gli appassionati sportivi: grandi spazi, atmosfera divertente, un numero infinito di schermi di tutte le dimensioni. Impossibile non riuscire a vedere uno schermo ovunque si sia seduti. Bel posto, divertente, bello e non caro.

Overall, disappointing, however the manager, John I believe his name is, was excellent at handling all of the issues.

Location good , Food was great , beer is a bit pricey , but they are all top of the range beers .

Came to use the upstairs area for a leaving do, had great communication with the GM ,John who made sure he catered and had all the info for the event . We had a buffet which was a great mix of hot items which were all tasty, team were all massively friendly and couldn't do enough to help and make sure we had everything we needed. The upstairs area is a fantastic event space for private functions or parties. The pub had a fantastic atmosphere and all the drinks were reasonably priced. This is actually the 3rd event I've had at the junction and keep going back as they do events so well. Thanks so much again and I'm sure we will be seeing you soon . Ash

Regular meeting point for an afternoon in town

Called in today 28th May 2024, ordered food with my husband and son, when the food arrived mine and my sons meals were stone cold, by the time the guy took the food back to rectify this my husband was finished his food. The guy did get my son a refill of his pop. We have been here before and food was fine. But today even after he brought our food back it wasn't very nice, shame as we like to pop in for food when we are in town but I think in future we will give it a miss and eat elsewhere.

Wonderful place to go for a drink n enjoy yourselfs

Lovely atmosphere. multiple sports channels on the Tv's which was a nice change to other places, staff took into account Daughters allergy when i highlighted it before ordering. Food and drinks were high quality and staff ensured a lovely time for myself, wife and daughter. Always smiling and friendly. Enough room for baby prams (always a big plus) and clean baby high chairs available too. All staff were patient and helpful as well as the manager.

Nice pub, want you to use the app to order but it wasn’t working… asked at the bar and he said it was turned off? HaHa it was never going to work. Ordered in person and it wasn’t horrible.

Great food here! Unexpected for a greene king but very tasty small plates, we had the burger sliders, halloumi fried and chicken strips! The bartenders and GM were fab and very attentive :)

Popped in for lunch and a few drinks with some friends and it was fab! Food was lovely and such a big drink selection and the staff were amazing. I come in kind of often so none of this is a surprise to me.

Standard chain pub, plenty of screens to watch sports, convenient location BUT what’s with the food portions? I mean, two onion rings, ten chips and a kids burger is not a pub-size adult portion. You’d also assume that if portions are gourmet size, the taste follows but my bun had a best before date of 2020 so there comes a cognitive dissonance.

Ignorant and impersonal bar staff that seemed to be too preoccupied to serve customers... bar was not bustle, no excuse, Greene King needs to get a grip .... avoid !

Came for a day trip with my husband from the midlands. We had the most amazing Sunday dinner.

Great upstairs party venue who were fabulous to communicate with whilst orgnising, provided a mountain of delicious food and staff gave incredible service on the night. Definitely give them your booking - you won't be disappointed.

A great bar to visit as it's just around the corner from the Metro statio. Plenty of screens for watching sports

Called in for lunch excellent value, lovely food and excellent customer service. Would highly recommend we got the 2 meals for £14.99 was definitely plenty just a shame we had no room left for desserts.

Cozy large English pub with lots of choice on tap. You can also eat there, but we didn't do that.

Nice bar & good atmosphere before match. Didn’t realise the beef dinner came pink as app does not mention it so didn’t enjoy the meat as not a fan of pink beef. Be nice to try the other food in menu.

Booked for Sunday Lunch for 5 of us, arrived and was told just to sit anywhere as place was empty. Ordered our lunch - it arrived quite quickly but we were not impressed with what was offered - meat on all plates was ok, but the vegetables were terrible, each of us had differing amounts of vegetables, i had 2 slices of carrots, 3 hard tiny sprouts, 3 very small roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese uncooked, and 2 peas! this was the way each plate was served with varying small amounts of vegetables (obviously frozen) not impressed at all at the cost of over £12 a head. I have been to this venue on 1 occasion and found the food really good - maybe we picked a bad day!

Relatively cheap, and though it doesn't feel like it when inside is right next to the bus station. Though would recommend avoiding chicken wings

Overpriced drinks and poor quality food. Only went here because my sister had a 33% off workers discount, and still felt robbed. I ordered the pie, mash and veg. The veg was two pieces of cold cauliflower, the mash was a powdery substance that I left, and the pie baked hard ! Never again !!!!

Decent bar good for sports but was q Sunday afternoon in November qnd to be fair it lacked atmosphere. Staffing isn't great can be a wait at the bar but it's OK for what it is

Cold pub, heating not on unless you are at the bar. Food is expensive for portion size. Chips at £2.99 served in tiny bowl. 8 chicken strips were thinner than your finger. Chain pub, say no more. Not informed it was a 45 min wait for 2 starters and 16 chips

I was here yesterday with my sister and friends, we had the 3 course Christmas Dinner, it was lovely and well worth the mo ey just under £20. Staff also very friendly and helpful, especially the manager I think his name was Ben, checking everything was alright, I would highly recommend it.

Great for a meet up before the match with mates been going for years

I’ve been coming to this bar since it was Old Orleans, the beer selection and friendly atmosphere hasn’t changed. We decided, on one of the busier days Newcastle with have on a Champions League night, to have a bite to eat - the katsu chicken is the best I’ve ever had. If I have a Chinese takeaway or go to a Chinese restaurant I will order it and this this without a doubt the very best I’ve eaten. Friends ordered everything from their bacon burger to the lasagne and chicken thigh and grain salad - top marks across the board. Worked out at £7.50 a meal and even without the discount it would have been a tenner each. Ridiculous value. Special mention to the barman upstairs who was attentive without being overbearing and good craic into the bargain. Other bars need to up their game - I hope the staff here promote themselves more because this was genuinely beautiful food.

Went in for Sunday lunch. Pleasant staff, ordered lunch then it arrived. Thick cut turkey, but everything was just warm, roast potatoes eventually arrived, they were cold, gravy was just warm, no cranberry sauce, no pigs in blankets as advertised, stuffing was dry and crumbling. Not nice at all and won't be back.

Really great food, the Sunday dinner I had was smashing. Great pints, all of the staff are really friendly and accommodating! Would 100% Recommend if you’re passing by!

I recently visited the Junction with a few mates as we were craving a Sunday roast. Not only did we get 20% everything as students the staff we really helpful guiding my mate through the wide range of cocktails they had, ended up having a Passionfruit Punch I think it was called. The food came out relatively fast and had no complaints all round. For the price that we payed the value was mega. The staff were extremely friendly as we had a few more rounds and then they waved us goodbye as we left. All round great pub with good food, good drink and even better staff.

Dinner was very small , the beef was raw , 1 nearly roast potatoe cut into 5 , £1 for an extra potato the size of a cherry , touch of food poisoning, never again

Just by chance picked up a menu for seniors while waiting for friends. So we decided to give it ago. We were not disappointed.£7.95 for 3 courses. Not huge portions but lovely hot tasty food. The staff were so pleasant and asked gave us extra choices of sauces.Will definitely go back.
