Dire, still waiting for food over an hour after ordering, no indication how much longer. Two companions finished eating.

Ordered 3 portions of chips via the app, after 15 minutes I went up to the bar to see what what was going on. Apparently it would be 1 hour to get any food and no refunds:

We stopped here before heading off to the football. Close to the station and showing the lunchtime game it seemed a good location. At 12.15 we found a table and was pleased with the varied selection of beers. We all also had food and everyone was pleased. The staff were nice & it really suited our purpose, Thank You!

What a lovely, friendly community cafe and shop. A nice selection of light snacks hot and cold and a warm welcome.

I had a couple've hours relaxing in this pub close to Clapham Junction Station. I wanted a convenient location to meet a friend for lunch & had heard about the generous lunch-club offer having previously visited a pub in the same chain. The food was high quality & good portions. The only negative I would say was that 3 of us dined. My sandwich & soup were bought over @ about the same time as my blokes open sandwich & the 2 portions of chips, but my friend's sandwich was brought over quite some time later. Other than that it was a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Left alone to enjoy a lovely long catch up.

I know that clapham is an expensive place but this is a traditional small pub just up the hill that still charges a fortune for its drinks. Unlike other pubs doesn’t have bouncers but still way to expensive

Ticks all the boxes does this tiny tea room. Try the ‘BBC’ with a pot of tea. Lovely people running a lovely place, charging prices from the last century.

After a walk with the in-laws, we found this little place & feel that we've stumbled upon a little gem! The tea & cakes we had was scrumptious, but the real difference this place had was the truly warm & friendly welcome that we received from the two owners, which filtered down from the other customers too, so you felt you were just at home instantly. I can't say I'v ever felt that from the big chain coffee shops? There was a delicious chicken dish being cooked in the background which smelt gorgeous, which I will try next time, this place really did feel like lots of thought and effort had gone into making something different and special. Prices were really reasonable too. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Never can visit clapham without singing that old squeeze song in my head. Great place for the first pint meetup. The guy whom I presumed was in charge is on the ball. Must have been a London cabbie in a former life.Lots of off the streeters comming in asking for directions to this and that. He knew all the answers including mine so it would have been rude not to return later when meeting up with friends.

Hot and tired halfway round a long walk, we were so happy to find this lovely little cafe in a pretty village. De-caff as well as ordinary tea and a range of coffees on offer, but the delicious, home-made-tasting cake is well worth a try. The tables on the deck were lovely, and the service and welcome cheery.

Stopped by chance for a sandwich and cup of tea. Sandwiches were both very good, and served with salad and a type of crisp. I had ham and mustard and my wife Brie and relish. Tea was properly served in a tea pot. They also serve meals and hold events for local people. The place is run down, but ok and they have applied for planning to build a new place which should be approved.

The Falcon is a perfect meeting place in Clapham Junction being very close to the railway station. I often meet friends here as it's such an easy pub to find. They have recently started showing more sports here mainly football and rugby, but on the night I visited with friends there was also a Thanksgiving American Football match on as well as Europa league matches. We were lucky to nab the last table in the back bar and ordered two Whitby Scampi and chips and a gammon steak egg and chips. Two pints of Ghost ship and a glass of Malbec red wine. The service was very fast and the food was good old fashioned pub grub, not many pubs do scampi and chips these days, so it's nice to see it back on the menu again. The scampi had lovely flavour and the chunky chips were perfect for dipping in the tartare sauce. I noticed on one of the walls in the back bar that there was a picture of the surrealist Dutch graphic arist M C Escher, closer inspection revealed that M C Escher had a hand in designing the legendry bar in the Falcon , which is in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest bar. The pub is steeped in history, also check out the stained glass windows in the pub which are beautiful. The Falcon is more than just a pub, it's a museum as well!

One of our favourite dog walks is around Clapham woods, especially on a crisp bright autumn day. Then after our walk to pop into The Junction tea rooms is a treat. Small & cosy with a very friendly welcome, great coffee and cakes (two choices of gluten free today). It also does light lunches and stocks local crafts and other basic provisions. The outside veranda has a heater at one end and lovely rocking chairs. Do go and support this lovely little tea shop so it can keep being brilliant!

Sounded great when our son told us. Apparently really up and coming and he was keen to share his first visit with us to meet his new young lady. We were slightly apprehensive when looking at the menu online but thought it would be a nice change. On entering it seemed pleasant enough, cosy and enthusiastic staff getting you to your table quickly. They came to take the order and we had to ask what most things were because of the phrasing on the menu. Told with enthusiasm from the waiter what the dishes were, we make our selections. A waiter proudly presented us with 'petit fours' (centimetre cubes of raw turnip with a disgusting green sludge to dip). This amuses us but we hoped for better. Starters came and they got one dish completely wrong but we accepted it. My dish was actually quite pleasant, very small portions but once again we hoped for better. Next course - a seemingly raw pumpkin dish. My husband will eat anything but couldn't eat this which was unusual but funny too. So the main course, by this time we were starving and waited for the entrance of a filling main course. Two mouthfuls and gone, nope pretty much gone in one. The funniest was my sons eel and leek. Was what it said on the can I suppose- matchbox size piece of eel and ONE 2 inch piece of leek halved in two and placed beside it. The other dishes were not much better. Who would present a lump of fat in the middle of a plate with a practically raw lamb chop(not rare but raw) thinking that the sides were about to arrive we waited in anticipation- not happening. We only had one drink and shared a bottle of wine. As for the toilet facilities they were absolutely awful. Same room, one toilet for gents and one for ladies then you had to take turns at sharing one rubbish sink that splattered you with water as the tap was so high. Mixing old with modern is fine if it's done correctly, this place was modern (if you can call it that) with the food and disgraceful with the old. The place was pretentious and totally overpriced with not at all pleasant food. It reminds me of the yuppy days where people would eat ridiculous stuff then rave about it because it was the done thing. The meal including 4 drinks and one bottle of wine cost of £215. Thank god our son paid. At least we had a good laugh. Would go there again - not by a wild horse dragging me.

This small village cafe and shop is wonderful. Their bacon brie and cranberry panini is second to none with a wide choice of other delicious lunch options. There are also excellent locally baked cakes on offer and the shop sells essentials as well as confectionery and enough to make a meal. Neil and Mark go out of their way to be helpful (including deliveries) and are excellent hosts. Dogs are welcome and given a biscuit too. The area would be the poorer without The Junction!

This was a lucky find after a long walk. A tiny, but perfectly formed tea room complete with a great lunchtime menu of sandwiches, paninis and hot pots. A great selection of drinks on offer too. The service was excellent and our much deserved Paninis came to our table very quickly. Monday it opens at 12, tues 10, wed 12 and then thurs to sat 9.30. Shuts each day at 4.30 and Sunday closed. They also sell some local craft. On a cold day you could sit by the log burning stove and on hot days a cool veranda in a peaceful setting. Definitely worth a visit!

Yes ok so I am biased because I live in clapham and am a regular visitor to the junction. It is small but what it lacks in size it makes up for in extreme quality of drinks and locally made cakes. Give it a try . You won't be disappointed. James

Went in for a drink 29/04/17 atmosphere great. Waited at the bar and was next to be served asked the lady behind the counter for a drink has she wasn't serving anyone only to be told I am not in her section (it is 1 long bar). I said excuse me, then a lady walked up and stood right next to me and the lady asked her what would you like? I questioned this, then the girl was so rude a another member of staff came over and asked me what I would like. If you want a happy pleasant pub give this a miss.

This is a perfect stop after walking the Long Furlong. Stopped with my son after a walk. So friendly and the cakes are superb. Very reasonably priced too. After telling my wife about it we had to repeat the walk the following week with another lovely stop here for cake and drinks sitting on the verandah.

This village shop/cafe is a little piece of magic in the countryside - we popped in towards the end of a bike ride and treated ourselves to drinks and ice cream. It's small but perfect; an unlikely square building just off the road, with a little veranda overlooking a wide grass patch and a pleasantly comfortable indoor area. The staff were very friendly.

We live locally and stumbled upon this on a walk a while ago and so have returned several times since. It's small and cosy, friendly and a great place to stop for a cuppa and cake or a light lunch. It opens out into a large field with a small children's playground. Dogs are allowed inside. A few local crafts for sale. There is also a nice covered veranda with rocking chairs for sitting outside.

We rented a cottage, Hall House, for Christmas and were needing to download some Christmas Music. What a surprise to find this welcoming cafe not only served food but let you use their WiFi connection. They also got us some meat that we had left at home for a paella. It was evident that they take time to be part of the community and even stayed open late to serve mulled wine on Christmas Eve. Pass this way regularly so will be popping in again.

I was near the end of a 19 mile sponsored walk across the South Downs and this cafe was a welcome sight in the pouring rain. Not only was the welcome from all the staff extremely friendly, but they had an excellent selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and delicious looking pastries. The staff were very kind, delivering beverages to those of us with sore feet while we sat on the charming terrace, overlooking a lovely green. Really cannot rate this cafe highly enough.

Left it to the last minute for sunday lunch then remembered this pub, had one cancellation so managed to fit two of us in. Staff really welcoming, the atmosphere was lovely like stepping back in time in this beautiful old pub , had a table in the restaurant, one roast beef & one pork belly which we couldnt fault, a lovely selection of vegetables, followed by two Apple crumbles & custard complements to the chef. We will definatly be back soon. Thankyou.

Went today for a couple of coffees, after waiting 5 minutes some young guy who had been folding napkins eventually wandered over looking most disinterested. I asked for 2 coffees and he said ' can't do hot drinks '. No apology or reason why. Needless to say with 2 other places nearby, West Park and The Waverley, where you feel welcome will not be coming back here.
