I get a cappuccino and lemon drizzle slice every now and then. Great coffee, tasty food and the place is nice and cosy. Service is good too. Recommended.

We were looking at a full on day work wise and in an ideal world a good coffee and good (not stringy/undercooked meat and flabby bread) bacon sandwich. Stuck in traffic due to the rain this looked a rapidly diminishing possibility. On passing this cafe I suggested we try there. A good decision! One of the best bacon sandwiches- meat good and excellent sourdough bread and in my case with cress which was a gentle contrast. Coffee excellent although would have preferred a bigger cup. Reasonably priced. £16 for the two of us (we had the same save I had soya milk and he didn’t have cress). A good find. Lady that served us was in flustered and efficient.

This is a great place, especially for brunch. Great avocado concoctions and a menu with items that one actually wants to eat! Coffee is excellent and it’s a really relaxing environment where one can spend a good deal of time. Service is charming and the lady in charge/ owner, is lovely. Very reasonable priced -super place. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious lunch when trying the avocado, halloumi and fresh tomato on sourdough toast, topped with Parmesan cheese for the first time. Would highly recommend. As always, service was polite and prompt. Another enjoyable experience at this lovely establishment.

Enjoyed another nice lunch here. Despite being quite busy with customers eating in and having takeaway food and drink, service was prompt and polite. Food was hot and tasty. I opted for the soup special of roasted cauliflower, onion, garlic in coconut milk accompanied with toasted sourdough toast slices. My partner chose another special, comprising a toasted salted beef sandwich with cheese, all of which was, as always, delicious. Looking forward to returning here again soon.

Returned here now that able to sit outside and enjoy food again. Visited with my partner for lunch. Had a nice scrambled egg, salmon and feta cheese on two sourdough toast slices, a ham and cheese toastie, all of which was cooked very well and tasted delicious. Drinks were black Americano , again made perfectly. All food and drinks arrived promptly and hot. So good to see all outside seating fully occupied in the sunshine, the owner Kamila and staff member Evie after such a long time away. Will be returning again soon, both inside and outside!

I visit the Journey cafe once a week . Kamilia the owner is lovely and friendly and makes everything from scratch . The paninis are delicious , the hearty soups are amazing and the polenta ! Range of cakes and cute biscuits . Lots of choice for vegetarians too .

Returned here with my partner to one of my favourite places and again was not disappointed. My partner opted for a ham & cheddar toasted sandwich whilst I went for a homemade polenta slice topped with mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and pesto with a black coffee. All the food arrived promptly, well cooked and absolutely delicious, in fact the polenta bake was so nice, I took one away with me to have for lunch the next day! Also enjoyed some lovely homemade cakes to take home. The service here is always polite and owner Kamila is such a fantastic host and cook. Would highly recommend a visit to taste some fantastic homemade offerings, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Looking forward already to my next visit.

Having shielded and missed eating out, it was nice to be back enjoying a tasty toasted sandwich and strong black coffee. Always a pleasure to visit here and will be back again soon for lunch with my partner

Having visited here quite a few times now and sitting at home in lockdown, thought I’d give another mention to the lovely food and service that I always receive when eating at this establishment. My final visit before Covid-19 saw me enjoy a delicious homemade soup served with toasted sourdough soldiers and a tasty cup of Black Americano coffee. I have always found the Owner Kamila, her partner and Evie to be attentive, polite and prompt adding to the overall pleasant experience. Looking forward to returning again when i am able to and would recommend you do the same.

Returned here again and enjoyed a nice black Americano with 2 shots and slice of homemade ‘fancy croissant’ cake. - both of which were very tasty and served promptly with a nice smile from the young lady working there. always a pleasure visiting this lovely independent establishment and will do so again soon.

This is such a lovely independent coffee house and worth a visit. Kamila the owner is so lovely and always willing to help with anything you need. The cakes she makes are absolutely delicious and must be tried. Coffee is always great here too. Nice relaxed atmosphere and attended by many regular customers.

Our local coffee shop! We love coming here for a drink and a bite to eat. The owners are lovely and cannot do enough for you. They are chatty and helpful but not too much - which we like. Big box of toys in the corner which my daughter loves to make use of. Amazing coffee and cakes are the best!!

Met with my partner and we enjoyed a very tasty toasted sandwich and scrambled egg on toast with a homemade Greek side salad. Coffee was excellent. Would recommend the Cardamon cake too! Delicious

This is an impeccably run cafe, which I always enjoy visiting. The husband and wife couple have really hit the nail on the head with pitching this cafe to locals. There's the blackboard-painted area for children to draw on, which is great. An excellent choice...

This a lovely cafe on the main road. It is no large but they have not tried to squeeze in lots of seats so it is very relaxing The home made soup was delicious as were the coffees I would really recommend this gem
